I was worried watching Matt in the challenge last night. I was thinking that he was going to throw it. Grant was awesome in their challenge. I would love to see Matt and Grant square off in the end.
-
I was wondering the same thing about Matt in the challenge....It must be hard being there alone so much.
-
I just about broke out in tears .. worried about little Matt. I have a soft spot for him
-
Hee Hee. I'm new to this entire BC thing, and just joined BCO. How cool is it to find a group discussing Survivor in the midst of everything else?
I have to say last night's episode was rather dull compared to some this season!
-
My favorite part is always after the merge anyway. In the beginning I have a hard time remembering everyone - I am always saying 'where'd that guy come from?"! AFter the merge it is a smaller group and we get to know them better.
-
After the merger .. is always an exciting watch! I love Survivor, and have been watching since Season 1. There is always some sort of twist -- right before each merge.
What I enjoy watching .. is the inter personal relationships of each player. I want to scream out loud .. shut up dummy, as they give a 1 on 1 interview with us views - letting us know that have it nailed down, wrapped up -- in control of the game .... only to be voted out, at the next tribal counsel.

i watched this week. Phillip did go off on the lazy girls, and you are right riley702, people get voted off for being obnoxious, not for being lazy.
I hope Matt keeps winning on redemption island, he seems like a nice guy and is cute too. I like Rob and hope he stays in it, he is entertaining and that is why I watch !
Til next week,
-
Ooh, Matt and Rob for F2!!! Wouldn't that be fun? Add Ralph if it's a F3.
ETA: Since the promo-monkeys usually show the opposite of what will happen, and they're trumpeting "Phillip vs. Rob!", it probably means the other tribe will lose immunity.
-
riley702 ... ooh .. such juicy information.
Does anyone have any idea .. how many episodes before the merger ?? 2 or 3 ?
Vicki Sam
-
They usually merge with 10 people left, but not always. In Survivor:Thailand, they threw a feast and said "You're all living in the same camp now". At the Immunity Challenge, they were dumbfounded to find out that there hadn't been a merge and tribe vs tribe was still on. Probst (with a sh*t-eating grin) said, "Merge? Did I say the word 'merge'?" And Shii-Ann was in trouble because she was on the outs with her tribe and had wasted no time in making it obvious she would flip to the other side. Her tribe then proceeded to throw the challenge just so they could vote her out.
They're also coy about whether it's a F2 or a F3. They had been doing mostly F3 until Survivor:Fans vs Favorites. Cirie, Amanda and Parvati were angling for F3, so when it turned out to be F2 instead, Cirie was booted because the other two were afraid she might win over them (and she might very well have).
They like to keep the people guessing and shake things up every now and then just to keep people on their toes. Some juries have had 9 people, but lately it seems to be mostly juries of 7.
-
Power outage .. so I missed Survivor last night ... just read that Matt, survived. Good for him.
Philip and Rob, live to fight another day.. tee hee
Vicki Sam
-
Yeah. Merge is coming! That will really stir things up. I do hope Rob survives. I wonder how long the other tribe will put up with Phil.
-
-
Who got the boot .. last night?
-
vickiSam you can watch it on cbs.com.
-
Sarita was voted out. And Dave was incredibly obnoxious. And Phillip noticed the girls saving the crusty rice off the bottom of the pot for Rob (who likes it), and immediately demanded "his share". They told him there was regular cooked rice available, but he wanted what they were saving for Rob. And if they'd offered it to him prior to him knowing Rob liked it, I suspect there would have been outrage that they expected him to eat the "burnt" dregs stuck to the bottom of the pot!
Instead, the camera got this rant about how they should respect and honor him as the tribal elder.
-
riley...You are too funny.
I was LOL during the rice discussion.
I really like Matt and Rob
-
Really! How hard is it to burn rice to the bottom of a pot over the fire? They could all have 'crispy' rice if they wanted. What else do they have to do all day? Too funny.
-
I wondered at first if Phillip was 'doing' a crazy character for whatever reason, but quickly came to the conclusion that he's the real deal, but not a personality all that unusual for Survivor. It seems like there's always somebody who comes onto the show expecting to be admired by all for their leadership or skills. When it doesn't happen, they're always just absolutely gob-smacked, and we get lots of outraged (and unintentionally funny) confessionals. I wonder what goes through their minds when the shows airs. Are they embarrassed? Outraged? Is Phillip at home ranting about that question mark after his occupation (Former Federal Agent?).
-
I wonder what he thinks about the question mark too!
Wouldn't it be great to have one tribe led by Philip and the other by Coach? They would probably hate each other.
-
PIP, that would be hysterically funny. They're waaayy too alike to not be butting heads.
-
Riley, your posts crack me up! I am sure we will more of Mr. Saggy Pink Panties in the future. It was funny to watch Rob pull Phillip through the challenge!
Matt is doing amazingly well, but too bad he can't really get to play the game. I know, that is about to come to an end. Is sooooooooo CUTE!
I thought Phillip was going to flap his jaws after Matt and Stephanie were done with the challenge, instead it was her! The merge will def. make it more interesting.
-
Riley .. Thank you for the blow by blow 'burnt rice' saga! LOL, Philip is unstable - mentally. However, I do realize that I, too would be considered a loose cannon .. Imagine 24 hours a day with a group of people that you can not connect with. .. no showers, no indoor plumbing --. I love the fact that Philip see's himself as tribal elder -- or FBI agent .. Oh what fun!
Happy that Matt won, again. Come on merge .. I want Matt back in the game .. shaking Rob to his core! Oh, the guilt I see on Rob face every time someone mentions Matt, or he watches a challenge at RI.
I am very impressed by 'Grant' who has single handed won the last 2 challenges. I did see where Rob was tossing and pushing Philip thru the mesh ...as Philip was dragging anchor during the immunity challenge ..
Come on Merge!

Wanted to bump the thread since last week I forgot. I meanI remembered to watch all day long, but then in the evening I forgot. I'll call it an SE from chemo....
-
That's why I love my pvr!
-
What is a pvr?
-
Must be similar to DVR (digital video recording) ?
-
OMG, I don't believe this!!! Poor Matt.
-
Matt is a genuinely nice person. I hope he wins the game.
-
Did anyone else have a laugh at the balancing balls on the board challenge? Jeff kept a straight face with Mike has a fly on his ball?!! Pick up your balls? Too funny or am I just super immature...??
