Ok who is going to watch Survivor with me?

He said, "It takes more than one person to vote someone out."
-
When I was watching that redemption challenge and they were all talking, Jeff too, I felt like they were violating some rule - like separation of the tribes or something.
-
I think that's the point of RI - trying to stir things up without a tribal swap. People tend to stick with their original alliances even through swaps and the merge, so how about letting someone interact with the other tribe without most of the other players knowing? I think the players are making a mistake letting "friends" nominate themselves to go to the RI competitions together. If they had one person from each sub-alliance going, they would rat out anyone trying to interact with the other tribe. Maybe that will become part of strategy in the future, if they figure out that's what's happening.
-
Yes, it is interesting. I bet it will be part of strategy but this time through it's all new -
-
Finally, it's clear .. as I re watched Survivor via DVR .. Rob clearly did not want to answer Matt, in fact it took Jeff to ask out loud .. "Rob, why did you vote Matt off" ..before Rob said anything ..
I also saw a 'fighting' spirit in Stephanie the dark hair maven (1 of the Russellette's) to open up the lines of communication about joining switching over to Rob and his alliance, once the merge happen's. I hope she survives that long, cuz it will be a hoot!
Philip survives another 3 days, with his pretty pink panties, as Boston Rob calls them!

Apparently the conversation between Rob and Matt was much longer than we saw. Here is a link.

seriiously, why would a grown man wear pink BVDs on survivor and then stip down to show them? OMG man, put on some pants! I at first thought Phillip was an idiot for going off on people and spilling too much, however I think he is wising up some.
I like Boston Rob, he is a little arrogant, but he knows his game. But for that matter Russell did too....he was a good player as much as I didn't like him.
I agree the two Russell "girls" seem worthless around camp. And, they didn't even try to sway anyone to flip over and support them, just going to roll over and die.
Still one of my favortie reality shows. That and Idol.
-
Russell was only a good player on one dimension. He was completely incompetent socially.
-
Pip57 .. proven by the fact that Russell reached the final 3 .. twice! Last go around, he did not receive .. not 1 vote. Great game player- 1 dimension, but no personality or connection to the others. His dirty deeds finally caught up with him. I think, Parvati .. duped him .. ?

Thanks for the link, PIP!
-
I thought it to be a B O R I N G episode. Pretty uneventful. Robs team has 2 girls as well, that don't do much at camp.
Looking forward to next week!
-
Lori, I agree, it was a boring episode. I guess I'm rooting for Rob or Matt and the 2 girls who were with Russell.
-
Matt ... has my vote ...!

I really like Rob but............ Matt has my vote too.

I was wondering how they would handle sending the RI player back into the game, esp. if they were going to do it more than once (which I think they will). I remembered that they usually have one or two double eliminations with casts of 18-20. They have 18 now, but are going to send at least one person back in via RI. So, I think they will send someone back in, maybe to the tribe who just voted someone out, and then the next episode, have a double elimination to get the numbers back down, and send both to RI to battle it out. If they do this twice (before or after the merge), they'll need to do the double elimination twice to keep from having to extend the game past the traditional 39 days.
I think they may also delay the merge and/or have a smaller jury because I'm not sure how they would handle seating a jury with people still at RI. Otherwise, we'd have to wait another week each time to find out who is jury and who is still potentially still in the game. And with a smaller jury, they usually have a final 2, not a final 3. We'll have to see how far off base I am!
-
Just my guess from watching Survivor every season.
1) before the merger there may be a switching up of the teams ... Rob team/tribe will lose if there involves any physical challenges .. Captain Under pants - Philip does seem very strong, and those girls while look = thin and fit, are weaken by lack of food. Not a 1 stands out in my mind .. as a fierce Warrior. Rob is so so ... in the strength department.
Farmer Ralph's team .. seems so very very strong .. men wise! .. bickering like a group of school girls.. then there is that 1 women, dark hair, she seems strong .. body, mind and soul.
so .. I hope Survivor .. calls a meeting of tribes, and everyone pull out a new buff out of a basket .. that would switch things up!
Now my guess, is that whoever is left at RI .. will rejoin the game .. once the two tribes merge .. this is only my guess ...
Hoping for a switch up ... which will add some much need zest to ... my Survivor watching!

I also think that the RI survivor will join at the merge. I hope that they get a week of immunity when they do return.
-
Vicki, you could be the director.............or maybe .......... SHOULD BE! I think you are on to something! At least it sounds good. LOL @ Capt. Underpants! Too funny!
I have to pull for Ralph, only because he's family. Matt seems like a sweetie. Rob has been there, done that, Amber won, so they don't it, but Rob is playing a much better game. I guess I would like to see someone win that needs it.
I might even get a chance to meet Ralph this fall, when we go out for our yearly visit with my husband family.
-
Tell him "Hi" from me and that I'm really enjoying his game.
-
I think it will be difficult for Ralph to go all the way. Sooner or later the guys on his team will see him for the threat he is. I would really like to see him win because he is a solid guy.
-
Ralph .. can go all the way .. only, if he start to play down his strength. ... otherwise, he will be voted off . No one wants to go to the final 4 or 3 with someone who will beat them time and again during the final challenges... Just my observation .. watching this reality series for years !!!

Has anyone watched the interview Jeff did with Russell? It's on his blog page.
-
Jaybird .. No I did not .. was it juicy, filled with lots of information, or regrets?
Vicki Sam
-
I watched it. He actually appeared very human. He obviously stuffs his feelings down...maybe he was picked on a lot when he was a kid. He doesn't think he would do Survivor again as it took a toll on he and his family. But Jeff made it clear that he will be asked again.
-
I am a Russell fan. I'd definitely like to see him on an All Stars season.
-
gearing up for tonight's episode ... from clips, it appears Capt'n Underpants lets the girls have it at camp, claiming that they are lazy!
Oh lord that man is going to drive everyone crazy!
Vicki
-
I DVR the show, so don't watch until Thursday night or later. But Capt'n Underpants better be careful! There are a few girls that just laze around, and he does pull his weight, which is worth something. More so than just laying around tanning and looking good!
I look at Phillip as enterainment factor! PERIOD
Matt is out of the game, so can't say much about him. Other than he does seem like a very sweet kid, and one that any mother would be proud of. And he's def. a cutie. Well, not out of the game, but not participating, other than his challeges at RI.
I think if Russell were given another opportunity, on another season, he would def. go for it!
I won't be checking back until I watch, don't want any spoilers!
-
Ahh, Krista made me like her for a moment there! So of course, Andrea, former close ally of Matt, decides that him getting along with someone else means he now has to go. Beyotch. Shallow beyotch.
Phillip, Phillip, Phillip. (shakes my head) Chill, sweetie. It just gives you high blood pressure, and doesn't do anything to the people you're fussing about. Hmm. Does he realize that very few people are booted for slacking around camp, while LOTS of people get booted for being obnoxious? I get the idea it's more important to him to be right rather than try to get along in what is basically a social game.
Speaking of - Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie. You're in way over your head. The very definition of trying waayyy too hard. Can't believe Dave fell for it. "We'll worry about trust later?" Dave, Dave, Dave... Come just a bit closer (smack!) and get your head back in the game. Sub-alliances are everything at this point in the game, as tribes start turning on each other.
Lots of poor playing tonight. I like Rob, but know he can't win, so I'm now rooting for Matt.
-
What is the name of the guy who did so great at catchin the ball at the challenge? that was good.
-
Grant ... ex NFL player, if I not mistaken. Loved it!!!!
