I felt so bad for Russell but he plays the game too harsh and alienates people.  I guess he never got the concept of speak SOFTLY and carry a big stick.

But I have to give kudos to Ralph.  He knows how to keep his cards close to his vest (having the idol) and has assured that he is an 'underestimated' player.  His country manners and speech have given others, rightly or wrongly, that he is just some country boy and not much of a threat.  He's very cunning!

I think keeping Phillip is good strategy for Rob's game.  As long as everyone is focused on how much Phil annoys them they won't think about getting rid of Rob, a veteran and VERY good player.  Rob is a much bigger threat than Phillip yet everyone is focused on Phillip now.  I predict Rob will make it to merge.  And that the end game will come down to Ralph versus Rob.  Both very cunning, shrewd, and intelligent.

Darlene .. I agree with everything that you said ..  Gotta love Russell, crying buckets of tears. Russell finally realizes what it felt like to be 'duped'.  Frustrated, angry and no control of your own destiny. -- Sucks ..

Philip is a loose canyon .. I so enjoy watching him .. irrate his camp mates.

Farmer Ralph ... good game player  ...  he really needs to keep his wits about him, as well as keep his attitude in check..  .. he is getting a little 'cocky' .. which in time, will back fire on him.

Love Love the 'redemption challenge' .. I almost felt sorry for Russell, as he cried tears of anger!

    LOL

Yay, Russell's gone! I did feel a little bad for him when he cried, but he's done the same and worse to others, so maybe he'll think twice before doing people dirty in the future (lying, sabotaging just to play head games and calling people idiots behind their backs. And how many women has he called 'dumb bitches' in 3 seasons?). But he did do his very best to torpedo his tribe for voting him out by telling the others every bit of dirty laundry he could muster up, so maybe he hasn't learned anything, or hasn't had time to process it. His Survivor world is crumbling. He's been (in his eyes) humiliated, he's never going to be asked back in the future now that he's been named as the source that spoiled the 2 previous seasons, and he could still be sued for that, as the contract they sign agrees that spoiling or revealing any results before they're shown will result in a $5 million fine!

I like Ralph (the Man Sweater), but his mouth is going to get himself in trouble, methinks. I also think it was a mistake to tell everyone but Kristina and Stephanie that he had the idol. They may ambush him to get it and him out, after dealing with Stephanie. Her little outburst at Tribal Council did her no good whatsoever.

Phillip - OMG. He has to be real; I don't think you can make up that kind of crazy. Also dumb of him to try and blackmail Rob and the others in exchange for information, which he then turned around and just told them anyway! WAY too heavyhanded! I think the only thing he didn't tell them was who Russell said were the allies on his tribe.

Rob's playing well, keeping the tribe distracted with Phillip while getting rid of Kristina. She's a better player than Phillip and she's hostile to him (Rob). He's also going to have to deal with Andrea being mad at him for voting out Matt. The mere fact that she's so upset about it proves he was right to worry about that alliance. And speaking of Andrea - doesn't she look like she's wearing eyeliner?!? Tattooed on, maybe?

Edited because it's Kristina, not Kristine.

Have you noticed that the screen shots with his name and description underneath have a question mark after it?

No, I missed that! Does it really say "Former Federal Agent?" LOL, that's great. Some of my Facebook friends call him Cap'n Underpants.

Someone on another message board I post on said of Ralph, tongue in cheek: "I can't understand a word he says and I don't know why he's always wearing that red sweater out in the jungle, but he seems to be having fun, so I like him."

I looked Phil up on Linkedin - he runs his own company now, but according to his profile, he was in the army then worked in the IT area for a federal agency.  I am not sure he was in the field very much.  I sure hope he is just playing crazy and really isn't that nuts.

I read Peachy's blog. Yuck! He still likes Russell and won't rule out asking him back? Seriously? I think that hair dye or the jungle heat has affected Probst's brain.

Russell's arrogance got the best of him and I did not feel sorry for him one bit as he cried buckets.  What goes around comes around - even in the game of Survivor.   There is a social aspect of the game that Russell didn't "get" IMO.

Phil takes the cake!  He's quite entertaining, but his days are defintely numbered. I think he will be voted out just for the annoyance factor lol.

I can see why Phil annoys everyone, with his "I'm a Federal agent"  attitude, (who really cares?)-BTW I did notice the ? after Federal Agent when they show his name!  Hysterical!  But for me, the viewer, I find his kookiness extremely entertaining!  Those pink saggy tighty whities...so gross.  If I had to live with him, he would irritate me to no end, but watching it on tv is a riot! LOL

    Can't wait for next week!

Jaybird, I'm sorry you liked Russell and he was voted off. I did notice however, he still hadn't gotten his tooth fixed! And what's this about the fact that Russell could get sued, over spoilers. Hadn't heard about that either.

I mentioned earlier that Ralph is related to my husband, 3rd cousin. So we are rooting for him just on that factor. Never met the man, never even knew of him. I thought he was going to play a good game, but now that he blabbed about the immunity idol, I'm not so sure. Don't these people ever watch the show? To know that sharing that information will just hurt you in the end?

Phil is just that.......entertainment. But I think Rob mentioned that not only are the saggy briefs disgusting, but that his junk hangs out as well! Ewwwwwww!

I actually liked Christina, but not as a favorite. Don't have one of those yet. But def. liking this season so far!

I hope they keep Phil around for a while.  He really is entertaining. I understand that it would be annoying to have to live in a camp with him.  However, they need to earn that prize money!

Captain Underpants aka .. Philip needs to be around .. just for the immunity challenges - Plain and Simple...  I don't for-see Rob's tribe winning any challenges for here on out.  Maybe the Producers at Survivor .. will call everyone together, and ask them to pull out new buff's .. otherwise, Rob's tribe, I forget the name .. will lose 1 player each week ..

Sorry VickiSam - I don't agree that Phil is needed for the challenges- he's messed them all up.  I think he is the reason they are losing so many.  I do think Rob is going to keep him because as long as everyone is concentrating on Phil, they won't be looking to get rid of Rob.

The other tribe (non-Rob tribe) has a couple of very athletic guys on it, the ex-NFL player and the tall older man.  So they have some good momentum.

goldie, the first two seasons Russell was on were spoiled on a site called SurvivorSucks, and listed, in order, every person voted off before the show had ever started. The ID of the person on SS was "missyae". The producers of Survivor filed charges to make SS turn over info that would allow them to track down missyae. Turned out to be a guy named Jim Early. They promptly sued him and then offered leniency if he would reveal his source. He identified Russell, and turned over numerous e-mails from Russell. Russell denies it, of course.

This all came out after the present season was filmed, but before it was aired.

Thank you Carolyn, I did not know that! Makes one wonder, when then, would they have Russell back? Even if they couldn't prove it was Russell, but suspected him, why would they have him back. And it happened TWICE?

I can only think .. that bringing Russell back .. generates ratings -- and let face it, evil little troll Russell and his shenanigans .. sells valuable time slot advertising  -- sad that it's all about the mighty dollar!

Riley .. wild, and sad news about Russell ..

Redemption island should be interesting after tonight's episode. Philip seemed almost human.  I'd laugh out loud if he goes to the later stages of this game.

Omaz, my comments regarding Russell .. based on previous threads that stated Russell was feeding information to an outside source, who was then printing information on line - regarding the outcome of previous season. 'Spoiler Alert'  It's hard to believe, but Russell go caught with his hands in the cookie jar.

No doubt Russell is a game player, and he has eliminated many great players before their time - This season, however, Russell got caught up in his own game -.

I felt soooo bad, for Matt.  He really wanted to know why Rob voted him off.  I think he was upset to see Rob, and that threw him off his game a little.   I am now pulling for Matt - seriously.

Rob's ego is growing larger by the episode, just my opinion.  The two minions of Russell - I forget their names, 1 was voted off last night -- crack me up, trying to start trouble within their tribes - you gotta do, what you gotta do .. to last another 3 days.

Philip - is a little off his rockers, but I do enjoy his antics ...Personally, if I were at camp with him 24/7 - I might want to stab him with a hot poker stick ..

I thought Rob's reply to Matt was very clever.  As usual.  He has great street smarts and is always thinking 10 steps ahead.  On the other hand, I really like Matt too.
