Just being nerdy, not combative!
Nixon: 2 girls
Ford: 3 boys, 1 girl
Carter: 3 boys, 1 girl (Amy has brothers 15, 17 and 20 years than she is!)
Reagan: 2 boys, 2 girls
Bush I: 4 boys, 2 girls
Clinton: 1 girl
Bush II: 2 girls

LA, I had the opposite thoughts about Malia, the older girl. I thought she was serious like her father and the younger one was more playful like her mother LOL. I loved Malia's comments about seeing her mother in People with "the important people like Angelina Joile." and how the little one Sasha jumped to clarify that Mommy is an important person. That's the difference between being 7 and being 10 LOL. Another lefty here so I agree with you about that interesting fact. I wonder if it's the difference between being left brain or right brain thinkers.
I think the Obamas are wonderful parents. The kids seem so normal, not rehearsed or uncomfortable. Michelle once asked Malia if she was nervous about appearing on stage during one of Baracks speeches and she rolled her eyes and said, "mommy, they aren't coming to see me." I bet when the Obamas are in the white house the girls will be responsible for walking the dog and taking her out to pee, there won't be any servants doing it for them.
-
Ann, go nerds! Thanks for the count. I guess I was thinking about young or youngish children in the White House--Caroline Kennedy, Trish and Julie Nixon, Amy Carter, Chelsea, the Bush twins . . . I always forget that Carter has older children. McCain's certainly got a lot of kids.
IWhen you consider that both Bush, Jr. and Clinton are lefties, you have to wonder if there could be any correlation at all. I mean, how different can two brains be?

Yikes--- what about Jesse Jackson ...
. I can't believe all the talk about "how will this effect the election..." hello???? This is mostly about Jesse Jackson. Sure, there can be a discussion about the merit of Jackson's criticism--but come on, not everything someone marginally related to politics and/or the campaign is a story about the campaign. It's almost funny how seriously some of the pundits take themselves about things
Did any of you hear about what Faux News is saying about the Obama kids? They're analyzing them saying Malia is too mature and that the Obama wanted it both ways, using their girls for publicity then complaining about the way the media analyzes and criticizes them. I think doing one family interview was appropriate, particularly since there is so much misconception about the kind of man Obama is due to false slanderous emails and propoganda. I also think it's very appropriate not to do another interview, as Obama said Monday. Once was enough.
-
Not being a guy, I just assumed cutting someone nuts off was worse than "knocking his block off" as I always thought block was head. I thought it was like someone saying I'll cut your vagina off, but I'm hardly an expert. I just know when I've talked about having my boy cats neutered with guys they shudder as if imagining it happening to them.
I smiled a lot in the interview too, especially the dynamic between the sisters and I loved how they ganged up with good natured teasing against Barack. Maria Menudos was on Olbermann the monday the interview came out and she said that the interview was just supposed to be with the parents and Sasha came out and sat between her parents and then Malia sat down. Maria asked if the girls wanted to be in the interview and the parents said ok w/o thinking much about it, as it was Malia's 10th birthday on the 4th of July and they were just hanging out. I;m sorry to hear in hindsight the parents are regret their decision because I really enjoyed that peek into the family.
-
Faux News actually analyzed a 10-year-old based on a 2-minute interview? Wow, they really are stooping to new depths (of course that's what I said about the terrorist fist-bump comment). And what do they expect? Her father's famous for his speaking abilities; it's obviously in the genes. Maybe Faux's just worried about the latest PEW poll showing Obama's lead widening. At any rate, I don't think we're going to be seeing McCain campaigning with his eldest child anytime soon. He's older than Obama!
Speaking of sons, I'm glad Jackson's son called him out on his remark. Al Sharpton tried to explain the comment as a matter of generational differences, but it's a pretty lame excuse when you say you didn't know the mic was on. I noticed the other guy in the interview had the same frozen-smile expression on his face that Mike Myers wore when Kanye West blurted out that George Bush "doesn't care about black people" during the Katrina telethon. Like, oh crap, the camera's on and I don't know how to react. But I agree, Jackson's remark will have zero effect on the polls.
-
LOL Madalyn.
Kanye West's remarks were one of all time favorite live TV moments, although I was corrected when I said I agree because it's actually poor people he doesn't care about LOL. Some politician once defined a gaffe as when one accidently speaks the truth.

If anyone's interested, the Huffington Post is asking for submissions for their "Off-the-Bus" blog section on the following topic:
"HERE'S MY TAKE #1": How would you design the incoming administration? Pick your presidential candidate, and then outline your dream cabinet, (court, etc.)
You don't have to nail down every position, but pick at least five from the list -- Secretary of Agriculture, Secretary of the Interior, Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of Justice, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Labor, Secretary of Education, Secretary of State, Secretary of Energy, Secretary of Transportation, Secretary of Health & Human Services, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Homeland Security, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and Secretary of Housing & Urban Development, Attorney General, UN Ambassador, Supreme Court JusticeDoes anyone have ideas for an Obama administration? I'm thinking John Edwards for Attorney General; Hillary Clinton for Secy of Defense (she knows her Pentagon); Richard Clarke, Secy of Homeland Security or NSC; Dennis Kucinich, Secy of Labor or Treasury; Wes Clark, Joe Biden or Bill Richardson, Secy of State; Bobby Kennedy, Jr. Secy of Energy; and my wild card pick -- Al Sharpton for UN Ambassador (they need someone with a sense of humor over there and he couldn't do any worse than Bolton). And I would make Al Gore the environment czar (something bigger than just the head of the EPA). I think Tom Daschle deserves something, but I don't know what--Agriculture?
Amy G.
-
LA, for me a lot of the decision needs to take into account how that will effect the balance of power in the senate.and congress. I guess I;d go after governors and/or former state reps. My list isn;t going to take the political dynamics into consideration and I will list the ones I who are my choices.,
VEEP- Bill Richardson
Secretary of Agriculture, Kathleen Sebelius (sp)
Secretary of the Interior, Tom Dashle
Secretary of Commerce, Steve Jobs
Secretary of Justice, Dennis Kucinich or Mike Gravel
Secretary of Defense, Wes Clark
Secretary of Labor, Ed Rendell
Secretary of Education, Laura Bush (so she can begin her 2016 presidental campaign like her predecessor) if she declines Evan Bayh--
Secretary of State, Joe Biden
Secretary of Energy, Al Gore
Secretary of Transportation, Chuck Hagel
Secretary of Health & Human Services, (Dr) Howard Dean
Secretary of the Treasury, Alan Greenspan (republican)
Secretary of Homeland Security, - PA Congressperson Patrick Murphy
Secretary of Veterans Affairs John Kerry
Secretary of Housing & Urban Development, - Jesse Jackson Jr.
Attorney General, John Edwards
UN Ambassador, Bill Clinton if he declines Sam Nunn
Supreme Court Justice - Hillary
-
Amy, good picks! Dean certainly would be good at HHS. Jobs at Commerce is brilliant (though putting him at Labor would make for a better pun). You're right that they would have to consider the person's current job and not ask someone whose replacement might end up a conservative. And of course, some of these folks are on the short list for VP.
I just read an LA Times article about one of Hillary's big donors who revealed that she asked Obama recently about making Hillary his VP, and he told her that Hillary was on the list and he likes the idea except for the Bill factor -- what to do with an ex-president, especially one as larger-than-life as Bill. But maybe making him UN Ambassador would keep him out of Obama's hair.
-
I heard the same thing about Hillary and Bill. I think Bill would make a brilliant UN ambassador as he was generally well respected in the world and we need someone who will bring back respect to the USA. I don't think UN ambassador is a time consuming job, so he would still have time for his charitable work, providing of course, that everything in his finances is on the up and up. If there is some creative financing in his library or charitable works, that would rule out both Hillary and Bill, in my opinion.

Just saw Fareer Zakaria's long interview with Obama on CNN. About foreign policy. God, it was so refreshing to hear a president or potential president talk intelligently and thoughtfully about foreign policy. No matter what Zakaria asked him, he had a long and factually accurate answer. Even if you disagree on his policy, you have to give him credit for knowing who the players are and what their history is. Can't imagine McCain coming even close, not without Lieberman whispering in his ear, anyway.
Side question: Is it me, or has CNN gone overboard lately with all the self-promoting graphics? They were all over the interview. Very distracting.
Amy G.
-
I love Zakaria, but I missed the interview. I switched the ballgame on right after Wolf Blitzer, not realizing Obama was going to be interviewed.
What do you think about the cover of the New Yorker Magazine? While i understand the satirical intent, don't the editors realize that the American public isn't bright enough to figure out that it's satire and those on the right who do realize the intent will use it as "proof" that Obama is Muslim? That's irresponsible journalism, in my opinion. For the record, I would not be less likely to vote for a Muslim than a Jew or a Christian or a Buddhist or any other religion--my preference would be atheist followed by Buddhist if I was voting on religion.
-
CNN will probably rerun that interview many times, knowing cable! I haven't seen the New Yorker cover, but do you think people who might be influenced by it would even be looking at a New Yorker? I get the feeling that those who believe that he is Muslim are going to believe it no matter what they see or hear. They're the same people who still believe that Hussein was involved in 9/11 and that the economy is going great.
Speaking of the economy, what about McCain's comments on Social Security?! I'm getting the feeling that McCain is only one small step ahead of Bush in the "knowledge" category. I don't know if it's age or, like Bush, he just never bothered to learn policy basics, but he's starting to scare me with his dopey blunders and vacant stares. I just don't get why conservatives like this type of politician. It seems to be all about back story and likeability. Not that those two things shouldn't play into voting decisions, but lately with Republicans, it seems like those are the only things that count. What's the point of being a straight-talker if you don't know what the hell you're talking about? And the fact that he doesn't know his facts at this point in the campaign indicates that he's either not mentally capable of remembering them, or he's happy just winging it. You can get away with that as a senator, but not as president, as Bush has so painfully demonstrated. Well, maybe McCain's new campaign guru will whip him into shape.
-
Getting down to the bones....
http://blogs.marketwatch.com/election/2008/06/30/economy-needs-huge-jolt-bond-guru-tells-obama/
-
Blundin (cute pup, BTW--is that a rawhide chew in its mouth?): whoever wins in November is going to have a huge mess on his hands--economy, Iraq, gas, environment. Obama's health plan, among other things, is going to be funded initially by raising taxes on the well-to-do (over $250,000), so one way or the other, they're going to be ponying up if he's elected. It's hard to believe that during Eisenhower's time, the tax rate for the rich was around 80%. No wonder the middle-class has been in slow decline! We're paying for everything, including the bail-out of Indymac.
The New Yorker cover certainly has generated a lot of discussion! I still haven't seen it, but I understand Obama's annoyance that the images are out there without any context. I still don't think the people who are going to misinterpret it would ever vote for Obama, but it is another distraction the campaign can do without. I know Obama wants to dispel the misconceptions, regardless.
-
One of the political analysts on CNN was angry with the New Yorker cover, because there wasn't any context given as to what the satirical picture meant--and that he couldn't find anything about it in even the first 18 pages of the magazine. You all are probably right, but they interviewed people on the streets of New York who thought the cartoon would make people think he was Muslim and that was what it was supposed to mean! WTH?? It is amazing the uneducated population that walks our streets. What were they doing when civics was being taught in high school? Obviously sleeping at their desks or playing hooky maybe? I just thought it was the most tasteless cover I've ever seen on a magazine--at least the G rated ones! LOL
When are the candidates going to be able to discuss the issues? We keep having all these stupid "things" crop up that distract us from the real issues that need discussing.
How about Bushy lifting the off the coast drilling--and demanding that Congress support him? Has anyone seen the interview that was on a few days ago (was it CNN?) with T. Boone Pickens? He says he has a plan that will "save" the US needing oil like it does now? He made his money in oil, but believes that drilling for more oil won't ever solve our problem. He says wind energy is the way to go. That we live in a country that has the greatest wind (and he doesn't mean the ones passing gas in the white house now) and that solar and wind energy is the way to go. Now he has an ad on TV that he will spend the next few weeks laying out his plan. Do we believe him, or is he looking for new recognition, and a job in the White House?
Of course, on the other threads, the democrats are considered "stupid" because we don't want drilling, and that we are being lied to if we believe that it will take 10 years of drilling for oil to produce enough to make a difference in our gas prices!
Yeah, McCain is looking pretty sad and out of touch lately. I just don't see how anyone could even consider voting for him, even if he was a fabulous military man. That certainly does not qualify him for president. And yet, all those republicans voted Bushy into the White House 2 times in a row, and he didn't have any international experience at all!! Oh, right, he was the governor of Texas. Big Whoop! Isn't that the state that has the most executions? It boggles the mind!
-
McCain's economic gaffes are frightening. Is it possible that he doesn't understand how social security is funded? I think people are way too easy to give him a pass on his gaffes.
Bush and oil drilling... where do I start. The price of oil and gas is the perfect opportunity for the USA to finally adopt an energy policy of conservation and alternate, environmental friendly energy sources. If we give in to drilling in the oceans, that's not going to happen. Bush thinks pollution is a joke, as he left the G8 conference saying, "goodbye from the biggest polluter in the world." WTF?
-
Having experienced the Enron scandal personally, I have zero faith in anything the oil companies and the Republicans claim about off-shore drilling. Just like there was no power shortage in southern California a few years ago, there is no oil shortage, only oil greed. But as a result, we're driving less, walking and taking public transit more, using less gas. Maybe we can wean ourselves from foreign oil by weaning ourselves from fossil fuels, period. There could be a strange silver lining in all this (and wouldn't it feel good to flip the bird to the oil companies, just as Bush has consistenly flipped the bird to the environment.)
I'm not quite ready to jump on the Pickens bandwagon, as he was the person who bankrolled the swiftboaters back in 2004. He seems a little too willing to do "whatever it takes" to get what he wants. His basic ideas make sense, though. We do need to invest in and develop as many energy resources as we can.
As depressing as all the news has been lately, with IndyMac and all the rest, I'm glad that The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are back! It's nice to go to bed laughing.

Did anyone watch Leno last night? They had the funniest song about the election--and they made fun of ALL the front runners, NOT just Barack! Perhaps it's on YouTube, I haven't checked. It certainly was not an attempt to put one candidate down over another, like the satire of the New Yorker. Wonder if the magazine will do their next cover as a satire to McCain?
I listen to Barack's speeches as he campaigns across the nation, and I see someone who is definitely Presidential material. He is clear in what he wants to do with regard to Iraq and Afghanistan. AND isn't it interesting that Barack proposed meeting with the Iranians to talk about the issues, and lo and behold, our dumb as dirt President Bushy is now going to have officials of the US meet with the Iranians! Duh!! Is he trying to do something that he thinks will give McCain the election. Most Americans are not stupid. I think most of us see through their little game. And no matter how much McCain claims he isn't a Bushy 3rd term, he will never get that out of most of our heads. AND especially when Bush addresses the nation and says things aren't really that bad, everything is going to be okay? WTH??is he thinking. Where does he sleep at night? What does he read--certainly not any newspapers. Oh Yeah, I forgot, with a C average in college he probably didn't do any reading--perhaps he is unable to read and Cheney feeds him only what he wants him to know. Speaking of cheney--if you saw Leno last night, they showed prez Bushy giving his little assurances to all of us, with Cheney doing the happy dance in the background. That's about as intelligent as I think this white house can function. They certainly don't intend to get the economy rolling--as if drilling is going to solve the problems. In the 70s when gas rationing took effect, and the speed limit was lowered to 55, Americans SAVED over 170,000 barrels of oil DAILY!! We could do more than that in a heartbeat if people were willing to drive smaller cars and look at alternative fuel sources, like wind turbines, solar, and nuclear (although I'm not so sure what we can do with the waste from this--I don't think Nevada wants it and I don't think we can send it into outerspace far enough for it never to return LOL) power.
It is so easy to cut the footprint each of us makes on this world. Simple things like composting food scraps, recycling, do errands in a circle driving to use the least gas, re-arrange your schedule so you don't have to be out in a car 7 days a week, etc. Unfortunately, there are people who say that because the stars or the politicians don't do it--they ride in limosines--they won't do it until those people do it. Such a stupid response--like cutting your nose off to spite your face. I just don't get it!
And after Leno last night, I too had a nice time going to bed laughing!
-
Aw, Grace, I just came over here to spy. Just have to respond to your above comment.
"Unfortunately, there are people who say that because the stars or the politicians don't do it--they ride in limosines--they won't do it until those people do it. Such a stupid response--like cutting your nose off to spite your face. I just don't get it!"
You were referring to me because I've said that often. I don't ride in limos, fly in airplanes, go boating, etc., etc. Why? I can't afford to. We don't drive much which I've already stated. I can't remember the last time we filled up our gas tank...almost a month ago? I was only using that "analogy" for effect.
I still say THEY need to set examples. Sorry, that's how I feel.
Continue on. I'm not here to interrupt. Just wanted to set things straight.
Have a good'un.
Shirley

I hear what you're saying-- but I worry that most americans are that stupid, because they elected Bush twice as president, because many still think Obama is or was a muslim or was raised muslim. There are a lot of uneducated and/or naive and/or stupid people who unfortunately vote. Some people will use any excuse not to conserve or to be ostriches with their heads in the sand.
i trust pickens about as far as i can spit, but am open to hearing what he has to say. I have already proposed an energy plan to obama LOL-- he hasn't gotten back to me yet (and I don't think he will even though I have good and unique ideas).
-
I feel the same way about Pickens but he really seems genuine about helping this country get over its dependence on foreign oil AND without drilling in Alaska or off the coast of US. We will see--I just wish he would stop the commercial and put the plan out there. I find the "tease" effect irritating to say the least!
There are still people saying he went to a muslim school. There is so much misinformation out there. I sincerely hope The New Yorker has a McCain cover planned for the next week or month. I think there is a lot of covert racism in this country and in the media. How can they keep asking if all the African American or black people will vote for Obama because he is black? It's about as stupid as asking if all the white people will vote for McCain because he is white? Now both of those questions sound stupid!! There were many black people in the exit polls saying they voted for Hillary.
Now McCain wants to go after the Latina/o votes. Funny. Must be because he is down many points in the current polls--showing that if we voted today Obama would win.
I'm looking forward to the CNN special this weekend on being black in America. Wonder how many of the Obama haters on this board will watch? They might learn something. a minority of people in this country still resist talking frankly about race. We won't get over racism in this country until all of us are willing to openly talk about it and how we are effected by it--and we are--even if we don't think we are. Racism today is covert in this country, not like years ago in the south with the Jim Crow laws and the plantations turned into prisons specifically to lock up black men!
Meanwhile, I will be working on lessening my footprint on the planet as we continue to go greener than we have been to date! Amazing what I won't buy anymore just because of packaging!! Finally carrying my grocery bags into the store and not having to use theirs, buying all my fruits and vegetables at the farmers' markets (carrying my own bag) without having to resort to plastic bags, and so on. I'm getting very creative! Would love to go completely paperless but not sure how that would work LOL.
Even glad I've been quilting for years--haven't ever bought a new blanket or comforter from a store! I even buy my sheets at the thrift stores when I find them!
Off to sit in the garden for a few moments and enjoy the cool summer morning with a good cup o'coffee!
-
I'm looking forward to the CNN special too. Unfortunately, the only people who will watch the programs are those who are already aware of the amount of covert racism in society and not those who really need it. I seriously doubt if Obama haters will watch and if they do, they likely won't watch with an open heart and mind. They're too busy watching Faux exploiting and misinterpretting Jesse Jackson's gaffes.
-
Or they are busy giving the hex signs to Nancy Pelosi. Saw her interview excerpts on CNN today. She put every negative point regarding the energy crisis being a democratic issue and Congressional issue just where it belonged--at the front door of the White House. Finally, someone is now talking about the Emperor's new clothes--100% failure of this Bushy regime for the last 8 years. What a breath of fresh air to watch a news station that actually reports the news in a bipartisan fashion. If I got BBC news I'd watch that but I don't so PBS & CNN are my only options for unbiased coverage. And the responses on the McCafferty file are great--both pro and con.
I can't believe that some people think Barack should accept McCain's "invitation" to tour Iraq with him. What is up with that? Seems it's the only way McCain can get any press coverage anymore. Wish they would cover him more, so we could see more of his gaffes. I bet we are missing some good ones.
And to think there are millions of acres of land leased to the oil companies that they can drill on but don't. And they want to blame the Dems for the price of oil? I think Cheney and Bush will be making the mighty dollars when they retire from the White House in January. Can you imagine the bucks going into their trust bank accounts right now? And why doesn't Duh Bushy release some of the 97% reserves--like the 10% Pelosi suggests to help solve the current gas prices in the US--doesn't make any sense. And it's taken Duh Bushy until today to "view the devistation caused by the forest fires" in CA, and will he actually get us some fed help to fight them? Some have been raging for a month and we are short on crews--oh yeah--that's right--they are in Iraq fighting a war that the majority of Americans in this country didn't want!! I'm disgusted with this administration and the people who think he deserves any respect. He has done nothing to earn any respect by any law abiding patriotic American in this country by a long shot! Crud, he's a dud as well as dummy--wouldn't he look good in a dunce cap? LOL
-
MSNBC keeps showing that clip where the little girl in the t-ball uniform runs away from bush crying and one of the commentators said, "you know where she's going don't you. Straight to Nancy Pelosi's office."
I'm excited for Obama's international visit. My european friends love him because they see him more like a Bill Clinton than a George Bush. One said she would be surprised if the usa elects a black president, this was over a year ago when i told her about my support for him. Since then she's educated herself about him and really wants him to be our president.
Rest assured, Grace, you'll have help for the fire fires long before the residents of New Orleans are back in their homes
(note the sarcasm). I wonder if the fires were in, say... texas if there would have already been help. I'd freak out if I lived near the fires, the smell of fire scares me now adays.
-
I, too, am looking forward to reading and hearing about Obama's trip. The more exposure he gets, the better. He needs to keep the momentum going. I'm sure the world is very curious about him.
Today, as I was filling out forms at the latest prosthesis place my HMO has sent me (everytime I get used to going to one place, they drop their contract there and send to another, cheaper place), I was feeling really annoyed and frustrated at the state of healthcare in this country. I feel that way on a pretty constant basis, but this week was particularly irritating, as I was thinking about how much time and money I waste just filling out repetitive paperwork and waiting in waiting rooms while the paperwork is shuffled around. It's so inefficient. Most countries that have so-called "socialized" medicine spend around 5% on administrative costs. The U.S. spends 25%. We pay twice as much for our healthcare as other "first-world" countries, but get hafl as much care for our dollar. As I've said before, if Obama accomplishes only one thing while president, I hope it's universal healthcare.
Did anyone see Elizabeth Edwards on Colbert Report last night? She talked about the campaign, healthcare and poverty issues in particular. She looked great.
Amy G.
-
Elizabeth Edwards is an amazing woman. She is so strong and upbeat. I wish Obama would find a place for her in his administration. She could get a universal healthcare program going in no time at all.
Yes, Obama's trip will be very interesting. I think he will accomplish so much he will leave McCain in the dust. McCain just doesn't seem to be very with it these days. He repeats the same comments over and over.
I was talking with my husband last night as we were watching the news. We both agree there are so many lies on the Internet about Barack with absolutely no basis. And the media keeps trying to bring up the old stuff. People are posting opinion pieces that are last month's news from conservative media pundits. Boring, to say the least--and certainly not helpful in representing the truth about the candidates in this election. Even Michelle is portrayed as some black woman who hates America. I can't believe how a single comment taken out of context can bring such hatred against these two individuals on the internet. It is really small of people to keep talking so hatefully about a candidate they don't like or aren't going to vote for. If they spent half their energy working on a good deed project, the world would be a better place.
I hope Congress and Pelosi stick to their guns and don't backpedal on the off shore oil drilling or ANWR in Alaska. What a disaster that would be to our planet. This country must drastically cut the sucking up of so much oil every day. Even reducing the speed limit to 55 mph across the country would help. It's amazing how it conserves gas over the year when you add it up. And so many less accidents too. People are too crazed and in a rush to do 5 things at once and work 60 hrs per week and be on the go all the time. Even some parents have their kids in so many after school activities (that they have to drive them to) the kids are up all hrs of the night trying to get their homework done. What does this teach them? There is no balance of work and play. Guess that's why when dh retires, we will make our move to a small town in the mountains near a lake and walk softly on the earth!
Have a fab weekend everyone!

Obama's trip is going just as I expected-- nearly flawless. How about Malachi basically endorsing Obama's plans before clarifying that he wasn't endorsing a candidate? I wonder what that phone call from the white house was like? I like how he said the german newspaper mistranslated his words, but he failed to mention it was his people who did the translating LOL. Bush must think he's really clever or that the public is really stupid talking about a time horizon and saying it's different than a time line. I think the press has been a little lax in not calling the administration and its surrogates on it's lies about that Obama has said 16 months no matter what's happening on the ground. From day 1 he has said we need to be as careful getting out than we were as careless getting in....
