betsy, i think your hair is adorable. it looks like a haircut that you would choose for yourself, even though i know you don't like yourself with short hair. i love it, though!
and marjie, i still love your short hair! the cutest thing about your pic though is your hilarious expression. made me lol!
-
Thanks Yaya...it helps to hear that.... and Marjie, most people don't even know I had chemo or had cancer, they just know I am out... so I hope not to have to tell my story over and over... It is what it is...and your hair is great...short is good on you.
-
bdavis I don't know what you mean about not looking good with short hair. You are just not used to it. I too thought I didn't look good anymore with short hair when I was 40. That's why I grew it out. Now 10 years later I'm wearing shorter than ever (except for that strange time in the 80s when I buzzed it except for the spikes in front. Hey I was an art/design student and punky. Went well with the safety pins I wore as earrings.)
Marjie I brush my hair straight when I dry it so it doesn't poof. Dryer in one hand brush in the other. Otherwise you're right. It will get all 80's big hair.
-
Marjie I would keep your hair as is too its so nice, lol at your face that you made.
-
Wow, everyone looks great!! I am anxious to have that kind of length.
-
Thanks Lago... I suppose its all what we're used to... I am trying to picture your description... safety pins?? OUCH!!

-
lago, thanks for the link. my shaved hair looks like natalie portman's ... but not my face and neck!
-
Well.. some were cute and others not so much... did not care for Ginnifer Goodwin or Natalie Portman for example, and some weren't super short, like Keri Russell...All a personal preference.
-
Bdavis - I agree, you look great! That hair cut passes off well as a "normal" haircut. ANd I really like the color.
Marjie - You certainly changed up your expression this time! And I'd be thrilled to have hair like yours. It looks healthy and shiny. Did you color it?
I'm 13 weeks PFC and I have full coverage, but not a lot of length. I feel like I need to get it all buzzed to one length but I cringe at the thought of losing one single mm of length. I'm normally very curly and "big hair" so I really can't get used to the super short look. Tomorrow we have a "Pink Heals" tour in town and I'm considering going to it - without head covering. It would be my first time in public topless. But I may not go. I'm still on the fence with that. -
lago I could go with Keri Russell's love all those curls...something i never had. I just feel like i need something on the back of my neck. I was all good for the summer, but winter is coming! YIKES
-
Carberry get yourself some 180s. I couldn't do Chicago winter without them.
And they won't mess up your hair… not that it's an issue for us anymore
-
Hi ladies, thought I'd join in.....
Kymn - love it!
bdavis - you look great!
Marjie - just a little ahead of you, but my hair is starting to look like Shirley Temple. I'm not complaining, Ill take it, but ay yi yi!! lol
-
and Marjie I am 33 weeks, and agree with you. I think the Herceptin has slowed my growth as well.
PS Can anyone tell me how to post a picture under a topic?

You ladies all look beautiful with your short hair. You all rock!
-
I haven't dyed my hair...it's gone from white, to grey, to salt & pepper, to black with grey....now there's some darker brown showing up. Sheesh!
-
I don't see any gray in your hair Marjie.
-
Betsy you look great in curls!
Marjie your hair is growing in so thick!
Mine is kind of curly i blow it out for 5 mins too, too smoothe it out a bit. It gets really curly when i work out from the sweat and then I have kind of an afro lol
-
Wish I was getting curls, my hair is straight as an arrow.
bdavis, you are looking good, I have good coverage, but yours is much longer. How are you doing after your last surgery?? Hope things are looking and feeling better.
-
All I can say is HAIR ENVY HAIR ENVY!!!!!
-
Christine... I am very tired, but able to get out and do stuff... I think I will actually heal this time, without oozing incisions or fevers or blood clots etc... Still toting 2 drains though.
-
I think all you girls are looking great!
-
Bdavis and Kymn, You both look super cute !!!!!
I have to use molding paste to keep the top from springing out and looking like Don King... Lago I love 80's big hair but only if it is long 80's big hair.... Everyone looks so good what a long year it has been for all....
-
YaYa5 you have a great face and neck... much prettier than natlie portman
-
Yaya5, ditto what tracie23 wrote!

Hi I'm new on here. I hfinished my chemo 3 months ago and my hair has now grown 3/4" that's about 1/4" a month. i am absolutely fed up of wearing my wig so I went to my haidresser and chatted about having a short spikey style and she said it would have to groew a bit more which is what I expected.I tried blowdrying up into a very short spikey style and I may put a pic on facebook and see what people say.
Hope you're all doing well. xxx

Hi all - I have a question - what's PFC stand for? I checked the abbreviations for newbies and it's not there the way you are using it. I can gather post chemo. Dare I ask what the "F" is? ha ha. I'm only 2.5 weeks from last AC, so I'm really enjoying seeing all of your beautiful hair as it comes in and hoping that will be me in a few months. We have a vacation planned in early Dec and I'd love to think I could go topless by then or at least with only a ball cap on. Thank you for sharing your pictures.
-
bcisnofun - It is pretty much what you are thinking. For some the "F" is final and for others, well, use your imagination!!!
-
PFC=Post Final Chemo or some folks say Post Fuckin' Chemo. It's a personal choice
Need to start using PFH not that I'm almost 1+ week PFH!
