LIFE'S A BEACH!

Here is some shorts and a tank top and a swimsuit. Can she swim good or does she need a life jacket.
Faith, that kid sounded so grown up its scary. Glad they all enjoyed the music
Alwayshope, yes we cooked most of it. We cooked up all the sausage this morning, needless to say we will be eating left overs for a while and not cooking which is good by me. Aren't microwaves a miracle invention.
I am going now to work on my memory table so all have a great day. We can all meet on the beach later.
-
Here's a picture of my two favorite brothers from last night. The older brother was TRULY excited to have chosen a new bubble pipe for his bubble pipe collection -- from the reading incentive box. The child is simultaneously a genius and has a bubble pipe collection. He thought this one was the most believable of his cache. Makes me giggle.
Jas: I'm loving my new blog/journal..... it's finally a way for me to keep track of what I do.
Spar: Billiton will have the most fun in these wardrobe possibilities. Thank you.
Now. I've got to seriously get "On the Road Again." Only three more to go. I can't believe it.
-
What a wonderful beautiful picture.
Is Billiton a girl? I thought since there was a flower on the hat it was a girl????
-
Good evening Beach Angels. I'm home ...finally. It took 2 hours to get home because there was a wreck just a mile from my neighborhood so I slipped into McD's and waited it out while I enjoyed the golden oldies in my car. Next time I have to remember to take a book to read just in case.
Faith -- what great pictures! True beauty.
So ...what has everyone been up to today? I hope you haven't been running Mario ragged.
-
I just had to show my beach friends what I have been doing today. I make table tops (just for me) this one is called memory table top. My husband made the base out of a wagon wheel and pole, when it gets finished I will show you girls. I finished up one made of broken tiles and marbles last month I will post a picture of it also. We could use one at the beach.
-
Here is a small picture of the broken tile one.
-
Well, its been a busy day for each of us and its time to come together in sweet communion. The fire is lit on the beach for warmth and light. The waves gently lap upon the shore and a sense of peace washes over all beach angels.
-
Spar, those are wonderful. How very creative and talented you are!!!
-
Thank you beach friend. The beach and bonfire looks so peaceful. I am bringing my lawn chair and will
gather more wood because I want to spend the whole evening listening to the waves
I brought along an extra chair for you Always, we can talk the night away and I am so curious about everyone. I always want to know everything from how you grew up to where you live. How many kids/grandkids everyone has, what they do for a living. Anyway, all in good time.
-
Spar...love those tables..what a great idea..
bonfire glowing on the beach is so welcoming
-
It's the simple things.
Cooler temps here finally. Hallelujah.
-
Stopping by for a quick Hi to ALL.
JaZ - The no bake noodles can be found at most groceries stores - Wal Mart. I use the regular noodles and they work fine too.
Sahalie - Sending you a big hug. I am in awe of you and your coping skills.
Foots - Can you put down some outdoor carpet on your ramp to help with the slippery spots?
Faith - Don't you just love hanging out with children?
spar2 - Love your personal touch on the tables - great idea.
Put me down for a group pedicure. If you have never had one - it's the bomb - well worth it.
I don't like to spend the money for a pedicure or manicure and my friends know this so they get me gift certificates otherwise I never would have that type of luxury.
Leaving for a much needed vacation on Saturday. Motorcycle trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
See ya in week or so.
hugs to all
Wings

I love a bonfire, but a bonfire with new friends is even better. What a treasured get-away..... our beach. I relish the listening of the waves..... they will sooth me off to sleep and dreams a plenty.
Thanks for tending the fire.
Spar your tables are FANTASTIC!! Thanks for sharing them. We will need to commission you to make one for our beach. I think that you could start a small business with this idea. Can the photo table be outside (in the weather?) I want to see a bigger/close-up of the tiled one, when you get a chance.
Well, believe it or not -- I've successfully completed 12 concerts..... only one more tomorrow morning and then 'home' to my home-away-from-home to swallow up my WonderBoy and those babeez!!!!!!!! I hope that I recognize them.

It's Friday!!! I am so thouroughly and exhuberantly and delightedly and reflectively exhausted.
I've had several revelations about this week.
1. It was only made "do-able" by giving myself the luxery of checking into this extravagant Travelodge in the midst of the proper county..... saving myself approx 3 hours of driving time daily (which I used to do pre-BC)
so the lesson there is acknowledge your limitations and make appropriate accomodations & accept help whenever it is offered...... 8 year olds delight in carrying my guitar & it's in a hardshell case, so make the most of their willingness to be of service
2. I nearly didn't accept this opportunity for fear that I wouldn't be able to manage it..... and yet manage it I have (see number 1 above)
so the lesson there has to do with fear and trust and the proper balance, when in doubt lean more heavily on the trust side of the equation
3. Looking at the pictures of yesterday, I really have to 'see' that I've re-gained the nearly 10 pounds I worked so hard to lose last summer -- in these months of inactivity at babeezRus and all of my indulgances of yummies.
so the lesson there is...... if I lost 'em once, I can lose them again...... and to that end I have made a NEW committment to 'moving' and making better choices....... so from now on, since you are my major addiction currently and I'm not ready to walk away from the beach, I will be reading/typing on my laptop while standing -- moving my feet at the very minimum: walking, marching, chacha-ing as I type [you'll recognize more spelling errors I'm sure -- put it down to calorie consumption.]
4. and anew I am aware of how very fortunate I am to get to do what I love
now to harvest the crop of my efforts -- bringing the berries from their vines (insert Lisa photograph here)
and I want to do what I love at a more thought-filled, passionate, focused level -- sharing it with a wider audience
now beach bunnies...... hold me accountable, PLEASE
You've kept me in such good company this week, dear friends, and I'm so grateful for your encouragement, questions, and support. As always I say thank you -- for all you've done for me in the process of getting to know one another and splashing here together at our beach. Thank you angels in our midst for bringing us together.
Thinking of those currently absent from our fellowship and sending you strength: Iris, Amy, Char and Celia.
-
