LIFE'S A BEACH!

Good Morning and Cool days wished to each.
It was 101 here yesterday. Again today. Our air is once again thick with smoke
from a fire just north of us that is a favorite area and beautiful woods.
Over towards the east of Chico in Butte County is a horribly huge fire that threatens
many homes and evacuations.
This area has been hit by lightning sparks and has burned 30,000 acres since June 21.

Well, woke up to a flooded kitchen, someone left the door of the freezer open, thawed foor which we are trying to cook all up now, a grouchy husband and a terrible headache so I am going to forget it all and head to the beach. More later later.
-
I meant thawed food, don't even know what foor is. lol
-
Wow! Spar.....that's a whole lotta cooking your going to have to do. I hope you get all the cooking done and the mess cleaned up soon. What a thing to wake up to.
Sahalie -- I so wish they could get those fires under control. How sad for all those losing their homes. Try to stay in and out of the smoky air. You don't want to end up with respiratory issues later on.
Faith -- hope you are having a grand time!
-
I sent a search party out for Celia yesterday to ask for her presence and creative wonders
to share.
Celia if you see this. Follow the seagull. XOXO.
Jaz. Work must have you tied to the desk. Do you need the beach boys
to get there pronto and untie you?
Wings. How is your wounded family doing these days?
I pray your hearts are healing although any loss in our families will never quite diminish.
Bring your lighthouse and come offer up some of your artistic talents for the fashion show.
FootersPrintsDebbie. Fresh lemonade will be squeezed and stirred for you today.
Spar. How wonderful your entries are. Keep 'em coming.
Edited to add. So sorry Spar about the flooding.
FaithbusyMama. Have you had a chance to catch your breath.
I know you have access to the internet and are mucho fantastical
re: entre's pour Le Fashion show.
Merci bow coups!

Look how precious this is. Baby penguin.

Jaz. I'm inside except for early morning watering and errands.
I also have A/C in the "guzzler" so when I go places at least I have cool air.
Time to water the back yard now.
I just hope the new redwoods on the farm are getting proper watering.
I better call and make sure.

hello, um,,,,,, i dont live on or by a beach at all but can i still join, lol. As a matter of fact I dont think i have ever even been to a beach.lol

Hi ojibajo, pick up a pair of flip flops and choose an umbrella to sit under and I will bring you one of those drinks with the little umbrella. Enjoy the relaxation of the waves, sun, sand and water. We are trying to find some cool fasions so it you like fasion you can post some here for us all to view. Welcome Beach friend
-
Break time. Relaxing at the beach.
-
Love the baby penguin..
We are being asked down here to save on electricity for all our N. Cal neighbors..I guess the heat and fires are really taking their toll..such a catastrophe..
Hi Oji..congrats on finishing up, I don't know when we get over one day at
Spar..love that quote..
Here is our lighthouse...
-
Good pic of the mission...nice isn't it!! Thanks
Here is one of our park.
-
OJIBAJO!! Welcome, welcome, welcome. So good of Spar to serve you a pretty drink -- right away. You have found a delightful cyber-family of fun loving, arts-craving, supportive sisters, who were brought together by our own incredible angel.
We have some who are here round-the-clock tending the beach, others who come and go as their vacation time allows, and some able to come and go periodically. We are so glad that you found us. We're you're 5th post. Makes me happy to welcome you!!
Better post, don't want to get vaporized again...............
-
Love the clear bird winging thru the bluest of skies, thanks Sahalie...... make sure you tie the message for Celia to it's leg. I'm missing her unique perspective. I'm still missing Iris, too.
Lisa I love your photographs -- makes me feel like I'm somewhere exotic and not here in the middle of landlocked Ohio.
Spar, so sorry to hear about your freezer nonsense that had to be dealt with. Seems like we should be exempt from that kind of dufus frustration.
Jas, thanks for all of your well wishes. I've now passed the halfway mark in my "tour" and have completed 8 of the 13 concerts. Some have been HUGE (over 200 in attendance) and some of the branches are very small/remote and have had less than 50. Each one is completely different than the other -- which keeps me on my toes, so to speak.
Winger-Dinger, missing your lovely giggles..... sending you a hug.
nEEsie: travel safely. do you want to come thru columbus? not exactly on the way is it?
Biker: what fun do you have planned for the horizon? did you get the other stuff cleaned up?
Margaret: I'm awaiting all of the answers to the questions posed by Sahalie earlier.
better post again.
-
It's a hot one here today.

-
Footiesweetie: what sweetness are you busy adding to the world today? I am sending you a huge cyber hug to wrap around you. It's the special insulated kind that lower your internal thermostat for the hot and muggy days of summer.
We had an ENORMOUS thunderstorm blow thru this area yesterday -- with HAIL! I was safely tucked inside a library at the time, so didn't have to navigate in the sudden monsoon.
Sendin each and all a big smile. I've had such a good time this week. My voice seems to be holding up, which is the biggest challenge. At some point I need to think about Vegas, since that's where I'm headed next week. YIKES!!

Summer time is a busy time for each of us to be sure.
We are under a weather alert to stay inside again. As bad as it is here
It's no where as bad as Butte County.
Makes me so sad for our beautiful state, residents and innocent animals fleeing for their
lives.
Birds and Bugs included.
-
Yes, it is nice and cool down here today...
and our bay is just delightful..
-
But last year our fires were terrible.
We ended up in a shelter at the Navy Base
Here is our happy home??
but I figured if the fires got this close we could get on a Navy ship and head out to sea..
-
Precious summer time.
-
Natureful thing going on it's journey
-
We were only in the shelter one night...and we were able to get back into our home late the next day...lots and lots of ash..
Don't know which restaurant you were talking about...hmmm
My husband was in the Navy for over twenty years and retired twenty five years ago from that job..I too was a Navy Line Officer..but I was only in for four years..I loved it...none of my boys wanted to be in the military..
-
Beautiful Lady Flowers adorn our Beach. Enjoy.
-
I spent many an hour at that club, ....this was back in the early sixties though...before married life...lol
-
Friends just showed up so will see you all laters K.
Loves and tranquil moments wished upon you.
Sahalie
-
Celia...
These are for you..
-
Have a colorful, glorious evening. Got to find some more fashions now that everything is cleaned up.
-
Absolutely gorgeous, Spar! Such vivid colors.
-
I see me wearing the white dress with these white flip flops on the beach
and these gold earrings and this white bangle bracelet
-
Celia, Celia, Celia....... where are you, sweetest wonder?
Yes. I have ridden my specially propelled-motorized flip flops this week. I've been zooming all around like our own Footie with wheelies at every intersection.
I left my cell phone at tonight's library. Oops. My family's gonna think I'm lost....... so I sent them all emails to clue them into my forgetfullness.
