You're not an old gal -- I know you better. Geesh, just keeping you from chasing those interns! Not to mention Fedora man!
-
I hope you don't start moaning and twisting in the dentist's chair!
-
How about some nice drinks to cool us off?
OK, the show continues...
-
"Hope is the dream of a soul awake."
How fitting a caption for the muscle-bound man, Miss Bianca. How fitting.
KK, when do you fly out? Tomorrow??? What time? Are you packed??
-
Is it my imagination??
Or is this dental floss blushing??
I'm just sayin'.......................
LOL: edited to add the floss I forgot to include.
I think I got 'lost' thinking about flossing............

So far I've packed 1 skirt, 1 pair of sandals, 1 pair of flip-flops. My flight leaves at 7:30AM. I'll get to it. I really only takes me about 10 minutes to pack. Just dump it in and go!
-
KK I'm like that too .... I'll wait till the last minute and then basically take everything in my closet and drawers! I'm a horrible packer - I take way too much. I don't travel enough that I've gotten good at it over the years. I hope you have a wonnnnderful time
-
Mary, I have traveled alot but never did learn how to pack
for each trip...oh, well
-
When I think of packing I think of my mother. She won a month long trip around the world in a drawing. She packed and repacked every day for a week. She had a garment bag like contraption that had a stiff outside but folded in half and strapped together so it looked and carried like a suitcase. At the bottom was a compartment for shoes. Every day she would lay it on the bed, take out everything, maybe switch out one item for something else or add something new , whatever. At bed time she would fold it up and set it on the floor. The morning she was to leave she went to put it back on the bed and it was so heavy she couldn't pick it up. When Dad came to help and found how heavy it was he checked the shoe compartment. His standard dachshund was in it. During the night she had removed all Mom's shoes, hidden them under the bed and crawled in.
-
chabba-that's hilarious! Poor doggie wanted to see the world. What a trip she must have had (your mom-not the dog)
-
I love the fact that I have a guest room now, because i lay the suitcase out and start laying things on the bed, hoping not to forget anything.

Wow,what neat pics and great thoughts! Happy Birthday,Sharon, sorry I am late. Have an awesome trip!!! You need help with someone guiding you around that has no clue but loves to just go???
Could not help but think of that saying abt someone missing the boat...or in my case I would miss the boat/forget a boat for those hunks!!! Wow wee...funny Lisa abt the boat being missing!HA! Drivers looked pretty nice, too.
Loved the humor and the fruity things...yep it a"pear"s that it was "berry"slippery in that fruit pic,Ms Bianca...punny humor is up my alley! Where I taught, the kids would groan in pain...worked to keep them in line when they misbehaved! LOL Also, singing songs would get them to behave just to not hear my renditions of Barry Manilow....et al!
Great pics and neat to laugh outloud...Jeepers Creepers,I am going to the wrong beach in NC or what!I think I need to get out more and see some of these cool hunka hunka burning loves...beach/marshmallow/wiener roasts,I mean! LOL Had to go turn down the heat...24 outside...so,these pics saved fuel costs!!!! HA!
Funny abt the shoes..chabba...if the shoe fits...ha! Well,if the bag fits...more like it. Had to laugh as my last trip to NY,overslept as life was crazy. Woke up,next day, at 5AM...no bag packed and was to get to airport around 5:40(10 mins away plus parking)...no toothbrush went with me. OL At least, your mom was packing the stuff...me,I just kept thinking later,later...never packed stuff so fast in all my life! Should have done like this one couple flying to FL...took a paper bag/clothes...now that is what you call brown bagging! LOL Said they would buy clothes and stuff there....
Best to all of you...
Iris

I keep a suitcase already packed in the basement because we always travel last minute.Freshly laundered clothes go right back in. I hpe Barbara and KK have wonderful trips. With lots of those Hula men around.HOOEEE I am still hotflashing here.
-
Chabba. That was truly the funniest 'packing' story possible. Thanks so much for taking the time to share it with us. You get a point!!!!! (oops, wrong thread: LOL)
Speaking of packing, that's my agenda for the day. We fly out tomorrow!!!! Headed to Coonie's fair-state of Louisiana...... to the same conference we met up in person last year. Coonie said such good things on my behalf last year -- that the organizers have given me the responsibility of delivering the KEYNOTE this year.
This is the largest group that I have ever spoken to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are expecting around 1300 to attend. Jumping Jambalaya Jubilee!!!!! Think good thoughts early Wed morning.
I am of the procrastinate-to-pack column. So today's the day, indeed!
I will be on the look-out for wayward Dachshunds looking for a free trip to visit Coonie's.
Everybody have a great day, decompressing from all of the Hunkie Hula Hubba-Hubba.
Iris great to see ya back!!!
Just imagine KK reaching her real beach today and Barbara's put some amazing pictures up on FB already of their stateroom for the stars..... so I know she's doing great.

SURF'S UP

Fun party last night. I woke up smiling.
-
Just stopping in to say hello. My hands are finally working and I can type! I have been on the boards but keeping my posts short as it hurt to type. One hand was crabbed and in pain. Then it switched to the other hand/arm. Turns out a tumour is leaning on a nerve causing all this trouble. But with the Faslodex it may shrink the bone tumours fast. Then I can splash at the beach again.
-
I look forward to splashing with you again Dream!
-
Faithie if you're heading north of the FL border remember they wear coats there. You might want to take something to wrap up in. Tons and tons of cars with out of state license tags have been on the roads here... I think they're all lost and can't find their way home.
-
Samsue - Maybe they are fleeing the northern cold and don't know where they're going.
-
Dream, good to see you hon. I've missed you in chat. Too funny about the dog in with the shoes - very clever! You all behave this week till I come back Friday night to hang out again. I just never seem to have enough time in the evenings Mon/Thurs ... sighhh ... but think of you all often.
Faith, safe travels my friend. Channel us all for spirit when you're starting your address. Once you hit your stride, we'll back out
-
wow!!julz.. im breathless, and speakless!!! 3jays
-
Kk sure picked the right time for her trip. It's -33C/-25F here this morning.
-
Dream........... it's so good to 'see' you beach-side. Hope that you have continued progress and that frequenting our cyber beach is easier and easier.
Enjoy the view, even if typing is bothersome.
We're always here. Always open. Always in good company.
We're nearly to the airport & I have a heavy jacket to head into Louisiana..... we are going by way of Houston -- from FL. Pretty interesting geography.
Everyone take good care of each other.
