This morning was sunny and beautiful, then clouds and hail.
-
Is this okay Faithy?
-
It's PERFECT, Chrissy........
I copied it for you..... to get it out from under the ad.
At least on my screen the ad was cutting into the image.
AND you get extra credit for starting a new page with a picture!!!!!
-
Faith..You know that you are on a different Thread YES?
I meant for the extra credit

Raj, I know how you feel. I took tamoxifen for 3 yrs, and take Aromasin now. I am scheduled to stop Aromasin in teh spring (it will be 2 yrs for that, so a total of 5 on the inhibitors) and sometimes I wonder how I'll feel. Part of me is tired of taking any drug, but a biggg part of me feels like a warrior every morning when I take that pill - like I'm still kicking cancer's ass by fighting. So how will I feel that first day in April or May when I don't take anything? Scary, but somehow good too. If anyone could figure out a way to chart the emotions of those of us who have had breast cancer ... our highs and lows, our fears and thrills, our tears and our elated laughter ... man that would be some documentary, huh?
To those going to beaches, enjoy for all of us. It snowed here yesterday, it snowed here today, and they're calling for a bigger snow storm Tues/Wed next week. Seeing beaches reminds me that in less than 6 months, I'll see ours again - keep those pics coming!!! Hugs beachies.
-
Mary....Its good to know there are already 3 of us stopping the pill.
We can exchange info in real time
Hugs to You.

Hi all,
I wish I were at the beach right now. It's cold here tonight. The beach has been my go-to place after surgeries, Chemo. & radiation and finally after being back full time at work for a year. The following video I made from photos I took on my last trip to Kauai. I hope it warms us up a little. The music is Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom.
-
That brought back nice memories from my trip to Kauai 14 months ago. Thanks, mab.
-

WELCOME mab WELCOME mab WELCOME
You have seriously found the right thread. I LOVED your video!!!!! When it ended with fireworks I decided not to give in and "lose it" but shifted my emotion-dial slightly and kept it on euphoric instead. What a beautiful work!!!
Thank you so much for sharing it.
Our tradition is to offer flip-flops to our newcomers.
I have two pair for you, in the sincere hopes that you'll be a FBP (frequent beach poster) and share photos and joy along the journey.

Hi gals! I love this thread! Such beautiful photos, and mab, your video is really gorgeous. You're an excellent photographer. I got married on Kauai 8 years ago. It is a magical place. I grew up in SoCal and now I live in Tennessee. When I got a break in my treatment last spring, I made a mad dash to Pensacola, Fl, driving all day to get there, just so I could see the ocean again. Thanks for reminding me how healing the ocean is.
-
I love the ocean
-
Oh, I can just feel the damp sand under my feet and breathing that ocean air just looking at that! I lived in North County SD for a number of years. My favorite thing to do in all the world was to run alongside a cliff by the railroad tracks overlooking the ocean. When I was recovering from chemo, I would turn my sound spa to the ocean sound and it would take me back.
-
I took that in La Jolla...glad you have a sound spa, it is soothing isn't it?
-
Thanks for reminding me with your picture. I am listening to it right now! Love the seals at Children's Beach in La Jolla.
-
mab, I loved your link and that version of the Credence song - amazing how a song can change so much with a different arrangement and treatment, isn't it? okay, back to reading ... more posts to come I'm sure!!
-
MissBianca, unless I'm wrong, you're a newbie for us too ... just in case Faith doesn't come in tonight I wanted to make sure you had the flip flops that we issue as a welcome .... can't have you running around in that wet sand without protection! I'm not sure of your favorite color or style, so I'm hoping you'll find something here that you like!!! We all share your love of the water, that's part of what draws us to this room. .... that and just the fun and love that we share with each other
Welcome!
-
I love it! THANK YOU!!!
-
Gals, I am SOOOO happy Florida is getting back to normal: yesterday in Miami Beach - 75, today in Naples: 78. But it is still pretty cool here in Tampa. Tomorrow will be 75. WooHoo. Love it!
-
NY=14 with wind chill
-
EEEK Sheila. That is exactly why I moved here. Can't take it anymore.
-
I've loved that Credence Clearwater song since I was a little girl. You are right, it is amazing how different they can be; but what I love is the passion in both versions. (Cancer has been a reminder to me to live life with passion!)
-
ooops,
I meant to post that reply to marlegal.
-
Welcome to all the newbies!!!!!
-
Miss Bianca, I'm so glad that Marlegal rolled out our official 'flip-flop' welcome in such superlative style. You should be able to walk with us for years to come with that many styles to choose from.
Since you've received your official beach flippers, I'll just chime in with:
Hope you splash along with us on a regular basis.
You'll love getting to know all of our regualars.

Hi Beachies!
WELCOME TO ALL THE NEWBIES!!!!!
MAB--- I watched your youtube and it's just BEAUTIFUL. I REALLY like the lady singing. She's got such a beautiful voice. I was wondering if I could get her CD in a local music store??? Or would I have to order online??? Her voice reminds me of Anne Murray........so PEACEFUL! Thanks for sharing!
Hope you all have a wondermous Monday!
-
Please everyone!!
BEWARE OF SHARKS!
-
(((Coonie))) hahahahahahahaha
-
Wow!!!! Sweet, sweet ladies! Thank you so much for the warmest welcome! I am already feeling beachy thinking about my tootsies in those very stylish flip flops! We had a winter storm last night here in TN and my son is off of school because of the snow. When I told him he didn't have to go to school today, he said "my wish came true!" So this thread is a very warm escape from the cold. I love the baby pics. I don't think I've had snuggly feelings about sharks before! I will enjoy going through my photos and posting ocean pics.
