Well, I think it was more like 50 years ago for me
-
I was in my 50's
-
It was last year for me. Those days are gone, I think.
-
Here we go ladies.
-
Well ladies I am still Hot in a swimsuit.
Sweaty that is. Now to torture everyone I think we are off to Varadero this Sunday.Beach here I come.
-
Ooooh Mum, you are so lucky! I am headed to San Juan two weeks from Saturday for the bucket list cruise. WooHoo! Many beach pix will be coming.
-
Mum that looks like a painting not a photo!!!
-
Stole it from Flickr for some strange reason could not find one of my own
-
Barbara cruises are a blast. You will have a great time.
-
When I went on a cruise and hit San Juan, 27 years ago, the cruise line wouldn't even take us to the beaches because of shark danger! So when we were limited we HAD to go shopping and just about every store was giving out Dixie cups of Daquiris or Pina Coladas.
-
What an amazing bank of clouds.
Thanks to our honorary Flickr photographer for sharing with us.
IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!
Surely that means we should have a party???
Where's our house band?
-
Sharon, I love the demure swimsuit above...... complete w hat!!!
That's about what I wear in real life!
-
Now that's the swimsuit I need for my trip!
-
Oh, I love varadero -- sand like talcum powder.
-
I just LOVE seeing our konakat on the beach.................
How many days till you're walking the actual sand, KK?
Sending you every travel mercy ever made. Hope your beach adventure is a real frolic and that you're able to take a ton of pictures to share.
Mum is off to Cuba again, I think........ so we should have fresh 'real-life' photos soon enough.....

It's a sunny Saturday here & I'm smiling at our good fortune. Blue skies in January are such a glorious treat for my soul.

15 days until my toes hit the beach! Can't wait!!!! I finally convinced Mum not to worry about me going solo. I can relax. Ahhhhhhh.

-
The beaches are cold in Southern California today
-
Sharon, that's a good picture! Elizabeth flying and you running along side...hehehehehe
-
Yup. That cartoon says a lot, doesn't it Sharon.
-
Socal, don't feel bad they're cold here too. It could fool you because the skies are a gorgeous blue today after several days of clouds. I'm longing for a beach walk.
-
This has been the grayest winter I can remember! The fall wasn't pretty though.

On 1st Jan,2011 I was on aircraft proceeding to my doctor who stays at a place which is 2 hrs flying time from my place. That day the weather was so bad due to cold westerly winds. The crew had announced that there will be strong turbulance while in flight. I was so scared wondering what if something goes wrong what should I do. The 2 hrs flight was in tense for me. Again, when we are about to land ,the aircraft was hoving around the airport due to fog. But the Pilot could manage to embarked the aircraft in safe and sound. Return journey was quite ok as I was little bit relief on my doctor,s advise to stop arimidex after July. But I wonder, if I stop Arimidex, should I carry my life without any medication or I am totally cured or what which he did not tell me.which make me damed confused. ,
-
Well ladies checking in from the airport I promise some new amusing beach photos this week because my son is traveling with us this trip.He has a weird sense of humor like me.DH will be busy in the cuban mountains stalking birds.
I will be on the beach or in the ocean.Leta see if I can snap some nice fish photos.
-
Mumayan, that is good idea ! I never been to a beach in my life as the place where I am staying is surrounded by 9 mountains. Once is known as Switzerland of India. You guys are very lucky as you have time to see beaches. I will plan sometime later to go to GOA, it is nice place in the western province of India.
-
Raj, many doctors prefer to have us take arimidex for only five years
or a combo with tamoxifen for five years...at any rate, I finished it up
five years four years ago now and have taken nothing...
The jury is still out on how long to take it, but my doctor
just wanted me to stay on it five years..
BTW, that airplane ride was a scare and a half
-
Raj, we have beaches and over mile high mountains less than
an hour away..so you can surf in the morning and snow ski in the
afternoon
-
Lisa , good morning ! it is 10 passed 12 midnight here but morning is already started. You might be having good time in the beaches. Now, I feel relief as you said you have not taken anything. I have to learn to carry on. As you all there to share there is nothing to worry at all. Thanx for your comment.
-
Raj -- a well-travelled friend of mine went to Goa and said it was one of the most beautiful places in the world. So fragrant with flowers.
-
I have had several hair raising flights, but I still get on the planes and can relax for the most time.
The day here has been very gray and VERY cold. Not good for the attitude.
