LIFE'S A BEACH!

A sunny day
-
Eph, I know what you mean when you say a broken shoulder hurts.....been there, done that. This one's for you....diamonds in the water.
-
-
This last one isn't on the beach but I had to include it. These fellows came to town because hunting season is coming soon. They'll stay through mating season because the does live here year round.
-
How cool to sign in from the car (hubby driving -- laptop in lap, hooked to web thru his phone) and to see all the fun at the beach on the weekend!! From Australia to the far north-west.
My world premiere this morning was a BIG hit. Sorta like preaching to the choir..... lots of dear friends from the years past, LOTS of brand new friends: a real celebration of teachers & the difference their efforts make in the lives of young children & their families.
So now we've already hit the road (a mere 11 hours, possibly 12 hour drive) to our little northern get-away haven!! We've never been there during the fall season of leaves & colors. I am soooo excited. With the hour time change, it's conceivable that we could arrive before midnight. LOL.
Hubby has heard a great weather forcast & is planning on getting some golf accomplished this week.

Eph, glad you are feeling better. We decided to go boating today. Here's a pic.
And here's a pic of the path to my backyard.
-
nice barbara-lucky girl!
-
Yes, I am very blessed.
-
Barbara....Take me away to that path.
Its just beautiful
-
Wow Barbara, how neat is that to be sooooooo close to the water...I would just love it...I have to drive twenty minutes or more..
We do have roses, year round...
I was on my way to a meeting and stopped and smelled the roses this morning
I just love it when I do take that time
this little guy is such a cutie
-
Ding Dong.
I wrote a seriously L-O-N-G post, attempting to give a shout out to everyone individually. Hadn't done that in a long time.
Now I remember why. LOL>
It vaporized before posting.
So you'll just have to trust me, that I've been thinking of each & every beachie-girl.

-

You are like me you hear the country surrounded with water you get happy.
The picture I posted above is a beach in Greece.
I can fantasize yes/
actually makes me happy.
-
Nothing wrong with a good old fantasy.Next thing you know it could come true. Thats my theory and I am sticking to it.
-
Here is my Halloween contribution.I took this shot of this spooky face off the pacific coast of Mexico.
-
Oh Beachies. Something dramatically awful has happened.
I wasn't going to say anything, cuz there's nothing you can do, but then my buddy said to ask all of my buddies to lend some moral support.......... so here goes, this is what I put on FB:
HELP!! I seriously need help!! I've made a colossal mistake. I'm just now able to acknowledge what happened...... on Sat after the CAEYC workshop at Columbus State, somehow, in the packing/driving away phase, I left my black leather portfolio containing ALLLLLL of the unfinished quilts of my new picture book, in the loading area on Grove Street.
Please, don't even ask how this could happen.
It did.
There were three of us there, me, DD & DH with a ton of stuff to get loaded into our two cars.
It happened.
The reality is that the sun came up today. Life will go on. The portfolio contains the original 15 quilts from this new book, and three from the earlier book. I had neatly packaged it all together so that I could get to the actual finishing of the quilts up here.
The good news is that the book is printed. That got accomplished.
If somehow, God, The Universe, the fabric fairies, the PINK-tober gremlins, the do-gooders, the campus security, could all join hands and lead the person who found my life's work to getting it back into my hands -- well...... let's just say that I'd be eternally grateful.
I know in the grand scheme of things this is not the tidal wave of defeat that I'm feeling at this moment........... it's just a very unfortunate accident, that might still be able to be remedied.
Somehow.
Would ya lend me some prayers, good wishes, encouragement, fantasies?
