We will just enjoy a flamingo from here...a transplant...but here
Lots of rain and thunder in SoCal today..very unusual for us..
-
Yesterday at Ocean Shores, WA
-
Both pictures taken in Ocean Shores last June. Common sights in our town.
-
Not as common as the deer but common enough. Five bear trapped here this summer. Coyote are harder to catch.
-
We have coyotes parading through our streets some mornings, also some
bobcats...or mountain lions, I can't remember which they are...no
deer or bears!!

Faith, what test results did you get? Are you just testing us to see if we're really reading?????
Prayers to Julz and her family....

A frequent beach visitor.
And on the lake.
These are seen daily on our canal.

COONIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Yes Barbe, it was a test: LOL.
You passed. Congrats for paying attention.
I didn't post the name of it, because I don't know how to spell it. It was to measure for LE, distance between cells/fluid build up.

My PT says my number is "good" as in the low end of the scale. Since I never had any sort of 'baseline' there's absolutely nothing to compare it to, but she thought it 'good.' Totally quick, painless, and instant results.
Now why on earth don't they do that before we ever have surgery in the first place????? Didn't even take five minutes. Sitting here shaking my head. It would be much more informative if we had a 'before' number: DUH!
It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had lunch today w a dear friend that I met in Lamaze class with our first borns..... we kept each other sane thru that era. Fun to get caught up.
Everybody have a great weekend.
Love the wildlife pictures. We have dear in our yard regularly. Most ever spotted was 7 at one time. And we're right in suburbia, with the interstate 3 miles away. We're right on their trail.

Here is a pic from the Race for the Cure this morning. St Pete is so beautiful.
This is another view of the waterfront.
-
awesome animal pics, and the St. Pete bottom pic is awesome! I leave Wed for Williamsburg, VA to meet up with some bco chatters for 4 days ... I am soooo looking forward to it both for seeing some buddies, and 'cause I've always wanted to see Williamsburg. I've travelled more in the last 5 yrs than I did in the prior 30, and this is the third trip with chatters. Who knew what wonderful things would come my way because of bc? Yeah, some not so wonderful, but I'll dwell on them some other time
So combining a chatter trip to Tampa last year, and wildlife, here's a shot taken when we took a dolphin watching cruise one day - what a hoot that was too!
-
Mary, wsh I were going to Williamsberg with you--my brother lives there. He wants me to come spend a week or two with them but I have developed a terrible fear of flying the last 14 or 15 years. I panic just thinking about it. Enjoy your trip. It is a beautiful town.

Here is a big beach hug for poor Joni.So sorry about your shoulder. i hope it heals fast. We do love our pets don't we?
-
Hope that everyone had a great weekend.
Barbara, we love it when one of our beachie-crew "walks" for the rest of us. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
Joni...... hope that you're healing & the meds are helping control the pain.

Today's my first visit of the school year to my 'original' school -- the one for the young children w special needs. L-O-N-G day..... then afterward I have an appointment with the owner of our indie book store for children, to share my new book. Then dinner out with friends.
YIKES. I'm already worn out................................................ LOLOLOL

I am worn out just reading your itinerary, Faithie. I need a nap.
-
Happy Friday beachies!!!!! Just LOVE looking at all the pictures!!!! It sounds like everyone is doing well.
We're FINALLY starting to cool off down here. Thank God!!!! I don't think I could have stood anymore humidity!!!
Faithie!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited about your latest accomplishment!!!! A new baby in the world.....LOLOL. You've changed your blog up some. I like it!! Hope your little peeps are doing good!!! All your little peeps, but especially the REAL little peeps in your life. Give them some huggies for me:)
Chabba!! I love the animal pictures!!! I sure didn't realize you were taking pictures of me though.....LOL. I guess I was racing around that tree to get away from Sharon!! hehe
I'm working today, so I'm able to 'socialize'. Seems like when I'm at home I find too much to do. Hope you all have a wondermous weekend!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian friends!!!!
-
Coonie, in our town of 4000 or so we must have some 2000 of your twins. We don't feed them or encourage them in our yard but there is one that comes up on our deck and knocks on the front window to get the dogs attention. It then teases him by playing hide and seek on the steps and around the hot tub.
-
Chabba that is so funny!!!! The little rascal better be careful. Your dog may get tired of it one day......hehe
Welcome to the beach. I see you're just recently diagnosed the last few months! Are you making it ok? Did you have to do chemo or radiation?? I hope you're getting along fine. It's always good to find a thread that gets our minds off cancer for awhile. WELCOME!! OH, we've got an "awwwhh that's so cute" thread too. Some of the ladies there would LOVE to see your pics. I'm not sure if they all visit the "beach".
-
coonie, so far so good. I was lucky, no chemo. About as good a prognosis as is possible with this disease. Just finished rads last week and started anastrozole Wednesday.Too soon for SE's but still tired from rads. I don't know what I would do without the advice, humor and support I have found here at BCO. My thanks to you and all the rest.
and I will check out awwwh that' so cute. Thanks.
-
So, I had to go to the commissary today...I just had to stop at the beach on the way

((((((((((((((((((((((Joni)))))))))))))))))))))))))
That was the absolute MOST gentle of all hugs.
Today was my kinda-sorta last PT session of the year (due to insurance being over-spent) and I have a VERY long way to go yet. Lots & lots of progress complete, just a lot to do yet in that department. I hope that you go straight from pain to all-better in a heart beat.
Lisa, thanks so much for the daisy!! Do you have them in-bloom year round? What a lovely thought.
Tomorrow is my three hour introduce my new book/launch conference/keynote whatever presentation. In any case, we are leaving from the parking lot down-town early afternoon, to make the 11 hour drive to northern WI. We've never been there for fall leaves. We are so excited & mostly packed. HAHAHAHA
xx00xx00xx00xx
Hopefully I can be on my laptop all afternoon tomorrow & will get caught up.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Everybody take good care of yourself -- as we enter the weekend & big-time beach!!!!
