Just a quick pop in before work - my vacation is officially over and I am getting sick! I have been fighting a sore throat since yesterday.....wonderful.
Faith, the kids are getting so big! Great pics of you and Saint!
Saint, love your furbaby.
Harley, I haven't been on a cruise in years, decades actually. Was going to go with the girls - one is turning 50 this year - and we had to cancel it...bummed.
Spar, thinking of you at your appointment.
Wings, you have been married to Mr. Wings for 30 years??? That is awesome.
Mary-Lou, welcome.
Sahalie, cooler days are ahead - even rain forecasted for Thursday.
Lots of others I missed. Will check back when I can.
-
beachie bunnies, one and all...........
so we've been back for 2 nights: first spent in our house, 2nd back to the DD futon -- almost too funny for words, if it hadn't been prompted by such havoc.
Allen made a pilgrimage to our place late last evening to get the salmon into a freezer and discovered that our HUGE sycamore tree in the front yard had snapped in half. So sad. Very fortunately it had not fallen toward our house. I haven't seen it yet.
Sarah had a follow up appt this morning w/a specialist over this unknown 'growth' along her c-section insision and it's been cancelled as doc is without power.
To think that we had hurricane strength winds in Columbus OH from a storm on the gulf, makes you wonder about the coastal areas. The weather people are having a field day explaining why it was the convergence of different elements into the 'perfect storm.'
We are safe and sound. Wonder what will unfold for the rest of the week's plans??
Spar: sending you some good beachie vibes for today's appointment.
Footie: always in my prayers. Stomp that devil with your positive attitude!!
Margo: it is hard to return to the 'real world' but especially if you've caught a bug making the transition. heal quickly.
MaryLou: so glad that you've found our beach........ love the happy umbrellas above -- the more you're here, the more fun you'll have!
Sahalie: iced cookies. what a way to start my day. thanks
Celia: these bitty boys of ours with their saucer blue eyes and amazing lashes, funny. poor pinkby has invisible eyelashes...... but the red hair will win the day forever!!
Jazz: another weekend without a peek. come put a quick flyby or we will send out da boys!
Janny: now that we've put our big bike away for the season, i'll have to see the fall colors thru your description (and Wingers and harley) so keep your eyes wide open
Wingers: can't wait to see what you concoct from the crafty directions
Julz: energy to you -- homework and work away from home, juggling big time. did you kariok this weekend? getting better with your delivery, i'm sure!
Saint: glad that you're caught up on all the beachie fun...... how did the Chicago field trip go? Did they get soaked?
Sige: your image for 9/11 is still echoing in my heart, thank you
Lisa: about time for some inspiration from you, my photo mentor
Dream: hope that your getting some emails for J -- what a great idea! Do you have plans to return for another visit?
Harley: now that you have your flip flops, we'll expect to see more of you!!
love and hugs to each and all...... I'll go see if I can find a happy picture to share.........
edited to add a joyous pic of us splashing together..... all of our 'ducks in a row'

I have seen the future and it is a BluesBerry Muffin.
Now to jump in the guzzler and make way to Whole Foods for a whole lotta money and
find this quest of a BluesBerry.
(My name for a BB Muffin. Not WFoods. : ) In case you go searching too.)
Off to find my muffins.

To those of you who have already sent me emails to forward to Jacqueline, I thank you. I should hear a response from Bill, her husband and her fantastic 16 yr old son who crawls into bed and snuggles with his mother - one of the nurses took a picture... something J values highly.
I sent her all of my writing to occupy her for a spell. Hope they make her laugh.
I told her about the beach and to bring her lemonade pitcher and we will be glad to share it.
I am trying to be a good friend, because I have many good friends and know what a blessing that is.
-
Mary Lou, I just adore your new avatar!! So appropo for beachie fun.
Julz, just detest when I do that sort of thing.....know what you're feelin'
Dream, glad to hear that you're getting posts for J. We all need to hold each other up, as best we can.
Now here's a duckie rated at least PG-13. Not sure what his caption would be:
-
BIG BIG duckie:

Faith - Quack Quack this is for you.
Sahalie - Hope you found your BB muffins at Whole Foods. Did you buy any frosted cookies? I had bluesberries on my oatmeal this morning not as exciting as a muffin but it filled my tummy. I am not a big oatmeal fan but I do try to gag it down several times during the week.
Mary-Lou - May I have a turn in that hammock......looks like a great place to nap.
Margo - Sending you some chicken noodle soup.
Harley - If your leopard print flip flops come up missing..........well they match my purse.
Celia, Saint, JaZ, Julz, Spar, Foots, Dreams, BikerJ, Sige, Lisa - Hugs to you

Can you guys check your flip flops
Dreamwriter you did it!!!!!!!!!!!
Celia, that is the perfect duck for me, right up my alley, thank you
Well, at the onc today they ask me to sweep up the floor with all the sand leaking out of my bag and kept telling me to hush and quit being so noisy, I had to keep gently slapping my bag you guys are really noisy
Oh to have one of the BB muffins.
Well, the onc appt did not go as expected. Lab was a little messed up, growing nodule on chest I thought was scar tissue, she thinks may be a reoccurance, the pain in my leg and tumor was found and I have had a cough for the past 3 months so after listening to my lungs she said we need to do a PET imaging so that is set up for Friday morning at 7:30 so will have to play the waiting, wanting to kick and scream game.
Love all you guys from A to Z am going to go feed my rumbling tummy.
-
Ok, a little off topic, but.........
GO Birds!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Julz~ I loved the song. I used to sing that at church when I was young. Brought back good memories.
Thanks for all the welcomes, I feel very at home here on the beach.
Hi to everyone I forgot. My mind can't remember that well.
Now off to look for that hot man, which way did he go?
OMG! WHAT HAPPENED?

-
spar, that is not the news that you or we wanted to hear. I am holding good thoughts for you in my heart. Your doctor is not sure yet about what the nodule is, so let's all keep good and positive thoughts that it will not be something bad. We are with you spar....sorry we were so noisy in your bag today at the doctor office!!
hugs, celia

sahalie, i forgot to answer you about the niners/seahawks game....no i didn't watch it since i am not much of a football fan. My hubby did watch it. I loved the forty-niners when Joe and Jerry and Ronnie were there. Hubby is NOT a seahawks fan....he calls them the seachickens.
