For our dear brave and faithful Deb and her Slone Rangers:

    Revelations  3:8
When God leads you to the  edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go, only 1 of 2 things will happen,  either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly! 'The  power of one sentence! God is going to shift things around for you today and  let things work in your favor. . God closes doors no man can open & God opens doors no man can  close.

Have a blessed day and remember to be a blessing ...

Slonedeb: there's some mighty strong and prayerful people that are assembling 'round your story. I take heart in every post that is added here on your behalf. My, how we have so much to offer one another.

You have been a witness to anyone that reads along..... in spite of the progression of this plague you have trusted in the grace of God to see you thru. You have continued to offer prayers for your fellow sisters who are in the midst of the struggle. You have communicated honestly with us -- of your fears and your joys and we have learned much in the process.

I'm just back from a very brisk morning walk and spent much of the time in prayer over your situation. I have much to learn about "acceptance" and am still pleading for heavenly intervention to work a miracle within the constrictions of the medicine that we have available for you.

Maybe the miracle that comes from this story is going to be the strong net that is being woven here @ BCO -- bringing together women of faith who aren't afraid of letting their trust shine out to others, even in the midst of the unthinkable.

Slonedeb. I trust you will read and reread the sentiment from our Daffodil above.

You know you're in our hearts.

    Dearest Deb,

I'm sorry to hear your news. We are here with you, for you, and along side of you throughout. I'm sorry dear kbug is having a tough time too, and know we all suffer when one of our own suffers.

I'm sure your oncologist is thinking today what else to offer, if the Ixempra won't work. There are a lot of chemotherapy's, so hang tight.

Hoping you're not in a lot of pain, and if you are, that you're speaking up about its management.

Bless you Deb. You are held so very close now.

And the Lord will continually guide you,

And satisfy your desire in scorched places,

    And give strength to your bones;

And you will be like a watered garden,

And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

    Isaiah 58:11

Whenever I read this thread Deb, I can see the virtual circle of saints surrounding you with prayer.

I add my prayers.  God is good, even when news is bad

    wow, pinkpig. wow.

And give strength to your bones.................. that is the EXACT piece of scripture that we need for our slonedeb -- and so many others. thank you, thank you, thank you. it takes all of us.

My dear slonedeb, I am preparing to depart for another road trip. Heading north to MI. I've allowed myself to get behind and today's gonna be a mad-scramble of activity to pull it all together.

First I need to head downtown to my little Pips for music-lady-day. I'll be singing for you.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

prayers of strength for the journey. read and reread Gay's verses from Isaiah. we are not the first generation of God's children to face agonies on this earth. may the angels shower you with mercy today.

Dauntless Deb, we hope you awake in your unshakable faith to a day filled with love, hope, and sunshine

    Just One More Day, Lord

oh, give me one more day. Lord
to say thank you once again
    for all the wonderful blessings
of a happy family, the joy
and the inner peace you bring

give me one more day, please
to let them know that I love them very much
and how much I care for them
and think of them every moment in my life

    just one more day, please
so I can hug and kiss each one of them
and tell them that life is beautiful
and God is good all the time

    i sometimes don't give them
a quality time, time to bond
because of the nature of my cancer
and trying to meet both ends
    just one more day, please
to let them know that I enjoy
their company every minute of the day
They are the best thing that happened to me

    Thank you, Lord..for giving me
    just one more day..
Now I can be at peace..to be with You forever

slonedeb. I love to come to your thread and meet new 'friends' and read what's going on in the lives of others as well.

I had a great day downtown with my weeee ones. They always bring happiness into my heart. Getting paid money to watch children giggle and laugh and jump and dance is the best invention that I could have come up with. They teach me so much with their enthusiasm, with their trust, with their willingness.

Deb, I think that your post above is very uplifting. I take great encouragement that when you're safely in heaven -- doing cartwheels among the clouds, you're gonna be at the hem of our Creator prompting him for a cure. We have some wonderful angel-sisters already, but I have a feeling your voice will be very strong and specific.

Please take very good care of yourself as you move about the house. Go very slow and wait for help. You sound full of spunk and that makes me so happy.

    xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

storms come and go....... you're quite a storm-trooper, slone.

How like you Deb, even in your own pain to be thinking of those with or affected by breast cancer. So selfless. Thank you for all you've shown us: your kindness, openness, loving approach to family and friends, sincerity and willingness to fight when challenged. You have taught me much and I have a long way to go to be as capable as you.

Prayers for you and others offered up humbly.

Each and everyone one of us are going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith, SloneDeb, our heroine!

This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another.

Father, I ask You to bless Deb and her Slone Rangers, whom I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name. Amen.

slonedeb. what a joy to come to your thread and read what others leave here -- i am always humbled and inspired by the insight from your Rangers.

i have soooo much to attend to before i can depart this morning, but i trust everything will come together. one step at a time.

storm-rider, you keep on with your praying and stare down this beast, as you have in the past. you teach us so much about resillience-in-the-face-of-the-storm.

    much love

Slonedeb. I've arrived safe and sound and am all tucked into the historic hotel in this quaint little berg, out in the middle of no-where. My phone won't even work up here. It's nice to be 'connected' thru the cyber-clouds.

I'm hoping that you're still tapped into your fighting-spirit and that you've had some relief today from the numerous issues at hand. All of the birch trees up here are completely naked and it's made me realize that harvest has passed and that nature is ready to rest.

    Seasons.

    The passing of time.

Slonedeb. I just have to trust that a creator that's brilliant enough to come up with all of the variety of winged creatures -- has our little journey in hand as well. I saw an amazing hawk soaring on the stream of brisk air, circling higher and higher. I also saw a buck with quite a rack -- at the edge of the roadside. Such amazing creations. So many blessings.

I'm so grateful for getting to play my little part in this amazing show.

sending you prayers of strength and courage,

How did it go today with chemo, Deb? I'm hoping smoothly in the office, and that now you're resting at home, maybe watching some show and napping. Have DH help with your medications, why don't you, so that you can stay ahead of the SE's (nausea, etc) with his help. I am thankful to him for being there for you. Hope too of course that your children are dropping by. A mother's love is always with them, unconditionally and constantly.

Well Deb, I don't have any personal info on kbug. I know she's been troubled with a bad cough. She has written some posts, so if you missed them you might just scroll back some. It's nice that you continue to show your concern for her and others. I'm sure kbug is equally as concerned about you.

Please hear our prayers and feel our arms around you, Deb. May this chemo be an easier one on your system, and you feel better soon.

Dear Lord, Bless our special friend Debbie, She is in need of your special love and touch. Help her to know that You are always there to help her. Like the bible verse, When you pass threw waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.  (Isaiah 43:2)  God help her........ And help her to remember how much we love her. Amen

Deb,  had my implant exchange; 7 hours, so they kept me overnight. I am popping Vicodin, but I am not complaining, just whimpering. You are My Heroine!

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings. Thank you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible. Thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising. Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned, tempers are short, and my children are so loud.  Thank you, Lord, for my family. There are many who are lonely.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the picture in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced.  Thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.

Even though the routine of my job often is monotonous. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were not so modest. Thank you, Lord, for life.

You are a wonderful example of great courage and determination, Deb. We are Beautiful Kentucky Women!!

Good morning, dear Slonedeb. Just checking in with you before I attend to the responsibilities that Dafodil has outlined above. Yes, I am grateful to have a washer and dryer -- and my DH went and got the detergant, so I'm really grateful!!

I'm hoping that you'll have the energy to come in and post this weekend some time and let us know how we can be praying for you specifically in this new treatment.

Tender & Kbug always have such good self-care suggestions, I hope that you're able to follow thru on their reminders -- making the best possible adjustment to this latest invasion of your system. May it track down the invaders and blast them but good.

Appreciate the small blessings that present themselves. Maybe a football game? It's gray here.

Do you have good meds for nausea?  If you cant eat at least drink lots of whatever makes you feel better. I know I cant drink lots of water at times I feel sick so I try all kinds of stuff. Even koolaid. lol I am sorry your daughter is overlooking the jewel that you are. Kids no matter the age can be hardheaded. I dont blame you for not calling hubby he needs a break . He has been good to you. Be careful getting around. Maybe the stress of being there alone is making you feel worse. But you have GOD there with you and we are in spirit. What chemo are you on now? You will win hang in there... LOVE AND HUGS TO YOU....
