American Idol

Ok, I finally watched my DVR, and I was so proud of Carly for telling Simon he has been too hard on her. She handled that with total class.
-
I thought Kristy Lee did an awesome job last night--I've been liking her more and more as the show has progressed. I think it was mean to put her in the group with David C. (and then switch the groups later); it probably made her feel like she was safe for this week. I think they do stuff like that to add suspense to the show, but I don't think it's very nice for the contestants. (same kind of thing last week when Ryan talked about not sending anybody home last year on "Idol Gives Back" night--probably got Michael's hopes up.) As much as I like Syesha, I think she should've been the one to go home.
-
Hi everyone,
I missed the elimination show, so I had to go and watch pieces on U-Tube. I loved the way Kristy ended the show, singing to Simon, very cute, funny and smart!!!! I too liked the way she picked it up each week, but thought she should have gone weeks ago. I also thought Syesha was going this week, so I'm already predicting she will leave next...It's getting much more difficult to chose now, really getting good to watch. I agree with the banter among the judges and Ryan, its getting very old...I hated when everytime Simon was introduced Randy would boo,( what is he 5 yrs old??) that was for about 10 shows, he has finally stopped that. Maybe he watched back and realized how immature it sounded. The show is about the contestents not Ryan or the judges..Talk to you after the next show..
Hugs Klynn
-
I agree with you Klynn..very immature.
I figured Kristy would go home. I too liked how she sang to Simon. I think Saesha or Brook will go next.
I still think the winner will be David Cook..he rocks! I love his voice..and he is the whole package!
-
I think America got it right this time. Truthfully, Kristy should have been gone a few weeks ago - the week she butchered the heck out of "8 Days a Week" - bleck!! Hopefully, Brooke will go next. It's past time for her as well...
For those of you unable to get through via phone lines to vote, try texting. It's faster and you always get through (my son votes every week for his favorite via his cell)...
-
Felicia,
Not to hijack the thread, but cute new avatar!
-
Would someone please tell me what the "David comment was...with his brother.." I must of been in the bathroom because I totally missed it. Thanks, Evie
-
Ryan was fishing for dirt from David Cook about his "emotional week," and David handled it extremely well, just saying that the song he sang went off so well, and it was a culmination of everything. He said that is what caused his tears.
-
Evie, his brother, Adam, has brain cancer and was in the audience on the night he sang that song. Truly, that would be emotional.
I am torn between David A and David C!!
-
Aaaah, I missed it again! I was in choir practice Wednesday night - and forgot to record it :-< Shooot!
Ok, so Kristy finally went. Her lips were quivering Tues night, which looked really awkward. I was starting to like her over Brooke, but I guess it's her time to go.
Can anyone please tell me who's in the bottom 3 this time? Sorrreee!!!
Aurora
-
It was Kristy Lee, Sayesha, and Brooke
-
Thanks Laq. That's what I thought.
GNight all!

Laq, your gramma's name is Aurora too? Way too cool - it's not a very common name, so I get excited when I hear someone else is named Aurora (the sleeping beauty - remember?).
Take care! Chat with you tomorrow!

My prediction for going home this week: Syesha or Jason. (with Brooke also in the bottom 3 with them). I think the top 3 will be : David C., then David A., then Carly, with Brooke possibly coming in 4th. I still miss Michael Johns so much and wish he would be in the top 3!
-
I think Michael Johns will be quite a success, even without AI. I'm looking forward to getting one of his CD's!
-
I think Syesha will be leaving this week. Well, it depends on what she sings tonight. She has a powerful voice, but needs originality.
I like Michael Johns. He seems like a nice humble kind of guy.
Ok, we'll see what happens 2nyt!
Aurora
-
Brooke will go if there is any justice at all, lol. It's time...
-
I think either Syesha or Brooke is going tonight. David Cook will be top guy, and my prediction is he's going home with the trophy. I'm so sorry to spoil the ending.
I hope i don't eat my words.
Aurora....every time I see your name on the posts I think immediately of "Aurora Borealis". The most beautiful night lights, that remind me of.......yup, Running watercolor paints.
Talk later after Idol, evie
-
Aurora,
Every time I see your name, I think of home (Chicago suburbs!). Makes me homesick!
I don't talk much about Syesha, and I think it is because she is just sort of "there." She blends in with the wallpaper, so to speak, because she is kind of a drab performer.
I am still one of the few Brooke likers in the world. I think she has a great voice, and I think there is sincerity in her words. She can't dance for beans, though!
-
Hey Everyone,
Deb I'm with you, I'm still liking Brooke, I love her sound...Carole King has always been a favorite of mine. I just wish Brooke would stop with the silly faces and interupting the judges all the time, makes her less likable... I think its time for Syesha to go home too, she is lovely but not at the level of the rest of the singers. Then I think it will be Jason to go, I love his face but again not at the level of the rest..Not sure who will win this one yet, I'd like to think it will be David Cook, but you never know when it comes to the final three.. Talk to you all later Hugs KLynn
-
Hey Deb (whoops)
I just saw the pictures of your hair....it looks BEAUTFUL!!!!! I'm a hairdresser, so when my hair came back in curly I hated not being able to do anything with it, I was affraid to straighten it, not sure if it would break off , so I let it grow and grow and grow LOL, after many years its much more manigable..Good for you with being so happy with it, nothing like a good hair cut and style to pick you up..I know its a sensitve subject when there are women just loosing their hair, but your beautiful head of hair should be encouraging to them, that it does come back and can look good!!!! My hair also looks great now, and I get nasty looks in the chemo room sometimes, I'd like to stand up sometimes and say "Hey I've already done that, and now with the second time around the least I can do is keep my hair.. Oh well, ENJOY it , it really looks great ! Hugs KLynn
-
I'm pulling for Brooke....I love her voice
-
I like Brookes voice too...............and both of the Davids................Of course I'm music challenged, as it seems like when I say someone did good..the judges slam them. And if I think someone is off.......they love them!

Awww, Artsee -- I love you
Whoops, my hubby grew up in Aurora IL!!!
KLynn, I know what you're saying about Brooke hehe. She can't hide her emotions. Her face says it all. I still like her, but she has to show a little versatility. Like add more pop songs to her repertoire, and take some dance lessons or something. She's so awkward sometimes hehe.
Aurora
-
Yes Aurora-it is (was) her name. She recently passed away due to complications following a fall where she broke her hip-she was 83.
And it is such a pretty name.
My prediction for bottom three this week is Shyesha, Carly and Jason-Id say all the girls but I doubt that they would do that.
My prediction for winner is still little David Archeletta-I have a bet with my mother-her choice for winner is long gone (Hernandez)so sing on little David.........!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a nice evening everyone..!!!!

40 minutes to go everyone.
Aurora..I love you too!
Thank you for the mailing. Now I have to figure out what to paint that fits with BC. Got any ideas???
KLynn.. I'm a hairdresser as well. It bothers me to do everyone so pretty and I don't have mine to putz with.
But I've got the Nioxin getting it to grow back...fast.
Enjoy the show everyone. You guys are right about Brooke always trying to argue her case. She just doesn't seem like the type.
Evie
-
Aurora, your name reminds me of my favorite Sleeping Beauty scene in the forest, when she's singing to all the little animals, "I wonder, I wonder, I wonder how each little bird has its someone. To sing to..."
I agree with lag--David A as winner.

artsee, just saw your post about Nioxin. I've been using it this week because my hair seems to be thinning out from Arimidex, esp on the temples. Does it work?
