Did anyone else see the dynamic judging duo on LKLive the other night?
What a dysfunctional group. Larry was squirming in his 100 year old jeans.
Even his suspenders were getting annoyed.
I like Ryan Seacrest and think he keeps it all together.
On the show, big royal dawg Randy said he would sign Kristy to a contract so we shall see what happens.
The one thing they all agreed on was the talent of David A.
I hope David's dad steps out of the way when this young man takes off in the world of entertainment.
Are the stories true about the father that I read?
I enjoyed Idol last night especially Jason's "Over The Rainbow."
My humble opinion about Carley is that she must have always sung the angry or hard rock songs and that is her genre.
She can't help herself. Even her persona emulates the "I am a tough one."
I like Syesha and think she has an amazing voice.
David Cook really blew it last night and what was up with that jacket he wore.
Brook, well, what can I say. To me she is generic.
She needs to get her lip action after singing under control or she will bite it off.
She looked defeated last night.
I'm looking forward to tonights show.
I think Ryan, Randy and Paula have their hearts in the "Idol Gives Back" program.
I think Simon is involved because he has to be.
I wish all the contestants the best of luck.
-
Kristy Lee sure has the buff bod! We should all take up kick-boxing and horse-wrangling!
-
I agree with so many of the earlier posts on last night's show.
Jason was amazing ... he certainly stepped it up last night. I loved his performance.
Kristy was also very good... and looked amazing. I agree ... she'll end up with a record contract - wish she'd picked something not so current to sing -
David C - what was he thinking ??? I had trouble understanding the words .. I think he'll do ok based on past performances ...
David A - that was very good too ... still not my favorite performance of his
Syesha - she does have a beatiful voice - but she' just not showing who she is ... she's picking bad songs ... why oh why did she pick Fantasia's song .. that's suicide ..
Brooke - wasn't unique ... she didn't like the comments at all.. I think she'll be in the bottom again ... her dress was terrible ... reminded me of the sunshine dress when she sang "here comes the sun" - very similar style I think.
Carly - she's definitely unique ... but I didn't care for her performance or the song choice .. I think you got it right "she's a tough chick" I think she needs to tone that down a bit - I love her voice - but am starting to think that she's not going to make it to the top 5
Michael Johns - I honestly didn't like his performance last night either - just didn't do anything for me - it was kind of boring.
who will go home this week ??? my guess is Syesha or Brooke
Doreen

Kristy -- whether she wins or not, is definitely going to get a contract somewhere. Her beauty is so natural and refreshing! I just love the fact that she's tough yet so feminine. Gosssh, I'm starting to sound like Paula hehe.
Jason -- is not as good as David A, but is very charming.
Carly -- too angry!
Brooke -- hmm, she's ok but she needs to start singing some pop songs.
Doreen, I agree -- it's either Syesha or Brooke. We'll find out tomorrow!!!
Goodnight everyone!
Aurora

I still like Jason the best.
-
Hi guys,
Did you watch AI Gives Back last night? I was watching a lot of it, but had to turn the channel when it was too sad.
sally
-
Jimmy Kimmel was a riot.
He was on Simon like frosting on a cake.
It was fun to see Teri Hatcher sing and some of the DHW's cast in the band.
It was a well thought out show with one exception.....
The screaming woman ~ I had to hit the mute button with that one.
Jimmy Kimmel gets three 10's
-
Loved, loved, loved Jason's rendition of Iz's song. It's one of my favorite tunes and he performed it well.
He reminds of a folk singer, along the lines of Arlo Guthrie..ok, so I'm showing my age here. :-)I like Brooke too and Kristy has stepped it up the last two weeks. I'm very much in the minority about David A though. He's cute but I'm so over that (my age again? LOL). He could be any boy band member of the week. Just my very humble opinion.
I think David C is going to walk away with the whole shebang. He's fantastic and consistently nails his performance....albeit this week's.
I so wish the producers/director would yank Paula's mic. Or cue the music like they do with Simon. She makes no sense whatsoever!
I couldn't watch Idol Gives Back last night, much too sad and I can't deal with those emotions yet....
onto tonight's elimination round!
-
I was shocked that Michael was voted off tonight. I do love Jason's voice and he is so cute. I remember David A when he was just a little guy on star seach, he really has talent.
-
OMG - I cannot believe Michael got the boot!!!
It should have been Syesha.
The "Give Back" show reminded me of an awards show, not a begathon. But I loved seeing Chris Daughtry - I'm going to download his song tonight!
Valerie
-
OMG!!! i am so upset that michael john was voted off, he was the best as far as i was concerned. what are these people thinking!
i agree it should have been syesha.
i know the give back is a nice idea, but i have to say there are probably more than 60,000 actors and musicians that are multimillionaires if each and everyone of them gave 1 million dollars, they could save entire communities and villages, please!!!
-
Hey everyone,
Well I know you all like Michael, but I kind-of called it this week...I thought he had a terrible week. He really butchered Aerosmiths song imo. He didn't have many bad weeks though, and I really thought it still should have been Kristy (even though she has a good week THIS week ) Syehsa doesn't have long left on the show either. Michael will do okay on his own, he's very good looking and like Simon said has good stage presence. He really seemed very shocked that he was going home, I really felt sorry for him. He actually sounded better tonight than Tes. night. Maybe with the pressure being off, Paula was really hanging on to him at the end...Hasn't she learned her lesson with hitting on these young good looking guys???? Poor Paula...heheheeee Nice talking to you all about AI..Hugs KLynn
-
Well shut my mouth! I can't believe Michael was the one. His stunned look was the same as Chris Daughtry's when he was voted off too early. I figured Michael was going to be in the top 3.
sally
-
Sally, ditto.........I can't believe Michael was the one to leave.....I truly an shocked. I think he was the best among the male singers.
-
I didn't expect Michael to be gone. I figured Syesha or Kristy would be gone.I agree with KLynn that Michael sounded better last night. He will do fine though. Look at Daughtry - he went home earlier than we thought and he's opening for Bon Jovi now. I don't like that they make them sing one last song after they are told they are going - they should have the final three sing their song again or something.
-
Wow! Didn't know there were so many "lame" people out there watching 'American Idol'..!!!!!!! So nice to know that I am NOT alone!!!!!!!!! And I know some of you!!!!!!!!!
Last night was a bummer for sure..........I really liked Michael.........I have to laugh cuz whenever I think someone has done really good....the judges slam them and whenever I think they were "pitchie" or "off key".....the judges loved them!!!! Guess that's cuz I couldn't hold a tune if I was paid a Million $$$$!
Neesie
-
Another shocked AI watcher here - I too, kinda thought Michael might make it to the final three - oh well, as others have said, he'll do alright in the end. Never a dull moment, right??
Pat
-
I think it was absolutely UNNECESSARY for Ryan Seacrest to state something to the effect that last year on Idol Give Away they did not vote anyone off BUT this year they were!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a JackA$$$$! I like him less and less and less.... Comparing to these type of comments, Simon is an angel!!!!!!!!!!
Do not agree w/ the voting off of Mr. Hot Pants, Michael Johns! The good news, is that I hope someone gives him a hand and he will do good... I so see him fronting a band! Go Johns!!!!!!!!!!
-
I agree it was not necessary for Seacrest to bring up the non vote off last year...He made Michael think that maybe no one would be voted off this week. I sure thought they might do that when he said that.
I picked the bottom 3 right. although I didnt want MJ to be voted off. I thought Carly would be going.
-
count me in as another one who was really surprised that Michael John was sent home last night .. that was truely unexpected for me ... and agree that Ryan was very cruel by referencing the fact that last year nobody was sent home during Idol Gives Back week ...
I also agree that Michael sang his song much much better last night than he did on tuesday ...
He's got a teriffic voice - I'm sure that good things will happen for him.
Doreen
-
Michael's out???? Shut the front door!!!!
I missed the show last night. (I had my final chemo yesterday, and decided to celebrate last night with my hubby.)
Wow, really surprised and Kristy's still there? Who were in the bottom 3, anyone please tell me? Thanks!
Aurora
-
Aurora, congrats on finishing that chemo, I would have been celebrating too. Bottom 3 were Syesha, Michael, and Carly.
-
Hey Aurora,
The bottom 3 last night were Michael ( who went home) Syesha and Carly.
I think everyone thought Syesha was going home last night, especially Michael John..Really felt sorry for him, he seemed so shocked. Klynn
-
Guys...I am in mournign right now. I feel soooo bad Michael John is gone.:<
He's so dang handsome he made my hear pitter patter. Don't tell DH.HA!
guess i have to go for the Cook.
Evie
-
Thanks for the update! Syesha's next to go, I think. Michael John is good -- he should have stayed. But I never voted for him, for some reason. Remember what Dolly Parton said to him? She'd love to sing duet with him or something. Who knows, she might use her connections to get him a contract?
Artsee, you're here!!! Didn't know you're an AI fan like me!!!
Aurora
-
Aurora, Congrats on finishing chemo!!
I too was stunned when Ryan pulled that on Michael. You could see his eyes glimmer with hope and then not only dashed to the ground but stomped on...totally unnecessary.
I like Simon a lot better than I like Ryan. Also, have you noticed when Simon does give compliments, it seems to mean so much more to the singers. They know he's not sugarcoating like Paula does so when he does wing a positive note their way, his words have weight.
-
My jaw dropped.
I was so bummed.
I hope when Paula and Randy were hugging him last night that they were whispering to him he would be hearing from them or someone pronto.
I thought he gave his song a great go last night.
I just can't believe he won't be there anymore.
If David A. leaves, that's it for me.
-
Oh, American Idol is my absolute favorite show. I don't answer the phone or go on the computer, or go the john during show.HA!
I think the "dreadlock" guy needs to go soon, unless he changes his routine. He's got the same mellow sound week after week.
Even if Simon is obnoxtious (sp) most times he's right on the money.
Paula however, needs to get off her drugs so she doesn't stammer around and makes a fool of herself.
So that's my story and I'm stickin to it. :>
Evie
-
Jason is the hippie folk singer
David C is the metal/rocker
Carly is Goth Grunge
Kristy is country
Syesha is R & B
Brooke does mellow pop
That leaves jazz for David A.
Something for everyone!
