Sheila, you are sooooo great.  You are right we have had so many family memebers at this site.  We have had our ups and have had our downs but one thing for sure is we have one another on this site and never have to worry about being alone.

Sue,  I'm so glad to hear from you.  It's all because of you that this thread was started and so many wonderful peopel have come together to be one in our times of need.  I'm not a wise and knowledgeable person but I do know when someone is a gretat person such as yourself.  We have you to thank for this great sisterhood/brotherhood.

I wanted to let you guys know also that I had my last reconstruction surgery August 19, 2009 and all went well.  The only problem is on the side with radiation there breast is not very smoothe due to the effects of readiation on the skin but it doesn't look too bad.  When I have my clothes on and my bra on you can't notice the problem.  I  will go in November or December for the tatooing and the nipple reconstruction to take place.  It does feel wierd.  I used the silicone implants and they do feel real to your hand but physically you do notice a difference maybe it's ust in my head because "they aren't my real boobs."  I didn't go big but it was big enough for me.  (Large C cup)  I have joined Metabolic Research for weight loss but haven't suceeded very well due to everyone being sick and things going on.  I will achieve this goal also like everything else when I put my mind to it.

Sue all I can do is thank you and thank God for you.  I could not have made it this far without the members of this thread.  I thank you all.

Judie your wisdom and words are phenominal and so heart warming.  Mel your funny side and gentle side are very comforting.  Cathi, you are a real inspiration with your "baby - Margo" grandbabies, the things you go throught with sister in law and children.  Lets me know I'm not the only one facing these difficulties.

Karen - your relationship with your children and the building of your new home - brings things into perspective.

Lisa - Your romance life is like reading a novel and I never have to open a book - LOL. I;m so jealous.  I have toldy my DH and it has put ideas in his mind that has  truly been great.

Judie - I have your flower, the picture you took looking outside your window- on my desk tops and have many people comment on the beauty of it.  They also talk about it's calming effects.

Cathy - your check wing for a man is truly awesome.  I sent it to a friend who was having problems with her fellow being romantic and asked for suggestions and I sent that picture to her and her "man" got the beest idea and now any friend that is down and needs an idea to spark things up gets a copy of the picture and the sparks start flying. LOL

Sorry about going on but I thought i would let some of you know the impact your have mad on my life.

Hi Leesa!  I'm so glad that you're back!  We've missed you.  It's great that you've had your last reconstruction surgery.  The worst is definitely behind you!

I don't have much time, but I just wanted to say hi!

    Hugs,

Well Barbe I must agree with you about SIL, just when I start to ease my opinions of him he again proves what a DINK he is.  UGH,  last night for some reason Landen was not wanting to go to sleep,  usually goes about 8-8:30now with little to no problem,  last night just not in his blood so Amanda was struggling to calm/sooth him until about 10ish,  SIL just can't do that "I DON'T KNOW WHAT HE WANTS"  who the hell does  - he's a baby it's trial and error dumbass,  well anyway when it appeared it was finally time Amanda takes him into bed,  dumbass just up and walks by all the toys about the floor and plops his butt on the computer,  so Amanda and I pick up the toys when she comes back out from bedroom,  she went in and asked him why he didn't pick up any of Landens things  - his words " I worked all day -  what did you do - play with a baby?" UGH  I wanted so bad to punch his lights out,  he seriously thinks thre is NO WORK in taking carre of a child 24/7,  Gosh I hope Amanda some day wakes up,  I can't stand the man,   he is such a freakin "good daddy phony" when he thinks someone is watching.  DUMBASS.

Well my opinion hasn't changed any by that news. Once a dink, always a dink!

When my kids wouldn't settle, I figured they didn't get enough loving that day. I wouldn't bring them back into the TV room or anything. I'd sit in the rocker in their room and sing to them and hold them until they fell asleep. Neither of my kids ever fell asleep crying.

Thats what Amanda does Barbe,  she just snuggles with him and sings to him,  what ever makes him calmer,  OH ,  SIL is just so UGHHHHHHHHHHHH,  he has no clue about being a DAD/FATHER,  so self centered and all about ME,  I know Amanda is my DD, but no joke as frustrated as I have been the past 2 mo even with her,  I see how she sacrafices for her children,  hair cuts,  cloths what ever she won't spend on herself,  not him,  he's gotta have this or that, gets PO'ed if Amanda suggests that they should not spend the money,  and then does it anyway - "BECAUSE HE WORKS FOR IT"

As Ed reminds me it's her choice to be with him,  so I need to step back and keep MOST of my opinions to myself  - or you gals. LOL

Cathi, I'm sorry about your SIL, I didn't know all of this was going on, it looks like I put my foot in my mouth earlier.  I didn't read the past posts because there were so many.

Barb, cathi's chicken wing picture: she has a chicken wing on a plate with the thinner portion of the wing up in the air, lying on a piece of lettuce (green bed), the it looks like little hushpuppies for the boobs at the top of the flat portion of the wing, with catsup dot for the nipples, then it looks like another hushpuppy at the top of the hushpuppy boobs with a catsup smile on it and two dots for eyes.  I don't know how to download the picture to this site.

No problem,  you have had a lot going on,  nowing anything about my SIL and all my ranting is the least of your worries.

I guess today is my DUMBASS day though,  decided to go and get my nails done, as I was having pedi allong with 4 other ladies the TV station in the salon is always on the local news channel that broadcasts 24/7,  well a story came on about BC awareness month and a banner in Fresno CA made out of BC Survivors Bras,  these 2  old crabs that came in together started talking about how sick and tired they get of hearing about BC and it's really not that big of a deal,  now a days no woman die of BC -  UGH YOU DUMBASSES I AM thinking,  the news stared giving the statistics that 1 in 8  woman will get BC,  one of them says in her lifetime (she looked to be about 65ish) she has never known anyone with BC,  and she thinks to much attention is given to it and her gal pal agrees,  I am looking around the shop counting the females in there - 11 total,  so I could not help myself,  I was fumiing,  I looked over at both of them and said "well the statictis might be a bit off for right here and now -  but my name is Cath and I am a breast cancer survivor"  and by the way woman do die from BC EVERYDAY.  The girl that does my nails looked up at me and smiled (she knows my story)  they didn't say anything,  I didn't realize until I left I was wearing a pink halter top (boobless of coarse) DUMB ASSES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for you Cathi!!!!!! And the truth of the matter is these D.A. 's were even more foolish than it appeared as there are many out there who do not announce that they too have had BC. The reality is there could have been 3 or 4 others in there who have dealt with this. Idiots ......and again .......good for you!!!!!!

Whoo hoo, Cathi!!!  Good for you!  Stupid idiots!  Why would you run your mouth like that in a public place?  I cannot tolerate ignorance.  I'm so proud of you for standing up to them!

That SIL of yours is a serious piece of work!  One day, a couple of years ago, my dh asked me what I had done all day.  I just kind of looked at him in disbelief.  A couple of weeks later, someone e-mailed me a cartoon, which I promptly forwarded to dh.  A husband had asked his wife the same thing.  The next day, he came home and the kids were running around outside, filthy dirty.  The house was in shambles, and the wife was lying in bed watching TV and eating ice cream.  He asked, "what's going on around here?"  She responded, "you wanted to know what I did all day.  Well, today I didn't do it."

He never asked me that question again Wink.

    Hugs,

    Karen

I feel so sad right now,  My dh's nephew, who used to be such a sweet, charismatic, lovely little boy, was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in state prison today.  He has bipolar disorder, and his mom probably did drugs while pregnant with him.  He never had a chance.  He was a drug addict by the age of 14.  He stole to support his habit.

    It's such a shame.  Sigh......

I'll try to find the cartoon and post it.  It made quite an impression on my husband!  Thanks for the kind words regarding my nephew.  I'm just afraid he'll come out of there worse off than he is now.

It really is a quiet evening, isn't it?  Have a great night, Leesa!

    Found it in joke form!!

What does a woman do all day?

One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house.

His three children were outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall in the front room, the TV was loudly blaring cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she may be ill, or that something serious had happened. He found her lounging in the bedroom, still curled in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel.

She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"

She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come Home from work and ask me what in the world I did all day long ?"

    "Yes" was his incredulous reply.

She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it.

    Hah!! Love it!!

Karen sorry to hear about your Nephew.  As far as SIL, he ask's Amanda that question EVERY SINGLE DAY (no lie) when he comes home "What did you do all day honey"  Drives me nuts.  But I bite my tounge.  He has even said to Landen a few times "did you eat today buddy" NO YOU STUPID DUMBASS, we starved him all day.  Ed says I don't cut him any slack,  I guess I don't,  I am quiet most of the time,  cause BOY COULD I HAVE SOME COME BACKS,  but it's Amanda's choice to be married to him,  and a week from today they are completely in their own place.

Exactly Karen!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I said before he sooooooooo reminds me of my EX,  and he's so good at acting like DADDY-HUSBAND - HERO around Ed, I just wanna puke.

Did you eat? Is about the stupidest question I have ever heard.  Last night Ed and I went out shopping and they were all home,  we get back and Amanda proceeds to tell us Bill had allowed Landen to go out into the road and run around,  now we live on a pretty quiet street -  BUTTTTTTTTTT,  Landen does like to run around in the front lawn,  and we had him  good at staying a safe distance from the road, he follows  back if you tell him to, or just lead him back by the hand. I guess they had a tiff,  because SIL said he was watching him and nothing was gonna happen,  what happens when you turn your back for that brief second and a car does speed down the street and they do sometimes!  Well of coarse this AM, he wants to run into the road -  DUMBASS, your moving to an area with a ton more traffic.

I usually cook with garlic as both husbands love it. My EX's mother didn't (does that make her my out-law?) anyway, we'd go visit her after dinner and she'd say to my ex "What'd you have for dinner? A bucket of shit?" sigh.........

Barbe, that reminds me of one guy I dated that seemed like the perfect One...same religion, lived in the same town, our parents were friends, very cute, enjoyed same sports, but I had to break it off when he told me that because his father HATED garlic, his mother never used it in any foods. The kids had then grown up with a strong distaste for garlic, and he didn't want it in any of HIS foods. Of course, he would say we broke up because he thought I was liberal (not really...I'm middle of the road) and he was conservative, but the garlic was really the deal-breaker for me.

I can't think of cooking a chicken or roast beef without garlic.
