OK ladies , I thought I would share some pics of the snow we got today. I posted them first , but it posted side by side and I hate that. So I will post two separate pics. One is my car after I cleaned it off. The other is just a pic of the side yard.

Doesnt that just look beautiful! Its just so clean looking. I remember when I had a horse we used to get up really early to ride though the freash snow.
Dont get that anymore
Global warming for you I suppose
-
Oh Poppy , a horse ride in the fresh snow sounds invigorating! How long has it been since you have had a snowfall?
-
Hmmm properly it would be about 10 years ago?
-
Mel - I love the photos! So beautiful! It's a little cooler here this morning so it's going to be a better day. It has been so humid and I hate sweating. Hot flashes in humidity - ugggh!
Have to rush as I am catching a train today to save money on petrol.
Hugs to all,
gb

Poppy, it's ages since I have ridden a horse. Every time I drive past a riding school I feel tempted to book in and hire out a horse to go for a ride. I think it would need to be a very quiet old nag - no wild eyed thoroughbreds for me!
gb
-
Wow , 10 years is a long time. Did you get snow regularly up until then? If so , that is pretty darn scary. Thinking about globle warming may be worse than we think!
Hi gb , thanks , I'm glad you are getting some relief weather wise. I'm sure hotflashes in the heat is horrible.xxx

oh mel...how nice...i dont know why u hate it..
everyone in the world think that sweden is snowy all the year but believe it or not i am here since about 9 months and i didnt c real snow yet,,,
i love food shopping ,,may be if u do it with someone it will be funnier...
no one told me about ur sleeping positions ..can u sleep on ur mastectomy side??how does it feel ??howlong u have been operated then able to sleep on it??once i try to sleep on it i get a swelling in my arm...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
love u ladies
-
Hi Ulla , I hate having to drive in it. We are close to the lake , and we get "white outs" where you can't see a foot in front of you! It just makes for a scary ride to work. And then if the plow guy is late coming , then I am late for work or stuck trying to get out of the drive. Other than that , I don't mind it at all. I can't believe you haven't seen real snow there yet! You are right , that is what I think of when I think of Sweden.
I had reconstruction done , but as soon as my pain was gone I slept on my stomach. I am a stomach sleeper.
-
Yea It did really.
I remember it used to be freezing on bonfire night with ice and everything. Now its always mild.
Hotdeals rocks! you get some Xlnt stuff on there
-
I am accually a qualified riding instructor. I trained for 3 years. I just dont have the time now. I would like to get another horse when the kids have left home.
-
Wow Poppy , I bet you wish you were instructing now , instead of dealing with the nut cases at work!lol
-
Sue and Ulla, you both look beautiful! Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.
Also, honeygirl that snow looks pretty too--but I sure wouldn't want to drive around in it.
I've been sore since my fill last week so I haven't been typing much, but I sure love to hear updates on how you are doing.
I am always inspired by you all.
Take care,
~Wren
-
Melody ...those white outs sound extremely dangerous and scarey...yikes...Are you out driving in it tomorrow xxx
Where is Lisa ... is she at a birthday party today...I cant work out what time it is over there .....
Wren it is always lovely to see you... I hope you are resting well xxx
-
Yes Sue , I will be out driving to work at 5:20am I think , 10:20am your time? Think of me while I'm slipin' and slidin'!
I think Lisa is at Matthew's b-day party. Its 3:57 here now.
Hi Wren , go to see you. Hope the soreness from the fill eases up for you.xxxx

Hi ladies, sorry for not being around - today is the football playoffs- so I have been glued to the tv all afternoon. Sorry Shirlann for San Diego's loss. I HATE New England!!! The Green Bay, Wisconsin game is about to begin - its -25 degrees there- can you believe it!!!
I'm happy to see everyone posting. We MUST stick together ladies.
honeygirl - where do you live that you got so much snow??? We have been very fortunate here in NJ - the snow has been avoiding us. Although today it was only in the 20's.
Gotta run,
Have a nice evening everyone,
Love & hugs,
Aunty Em

Ulla, I had surgery on August 21, 2007. I am just able to spend any time comfortably on my right side.(mastectomy side) I usually sleep on my left side but I think I tossed and turned a lot. I cannot fall asleep on my back, but apparently I snore very loudly when I do, so I must roll over. When I do lie on my right side consciously, I have my arm up, kind of over my head so that I am not actually lying on my arm. It at least gives my left hip and ear a little pressure relief when I am lying around. I am sleeping and lying a lot this time around, so it is only recently that I have noticed I am able to roll to the mastectomy side without a thought, no twinge or anything.
Hope that helps
Karyll

SOB, SOB, do you all realize that poor San Diego has only been in the Super Bowl ONCE, and that time we got murdered by the 49ers?
Waaahhhh, our neighbors had their Packer flag up and we had our Charger flag up and we are both totally bummed out.
With LaDanian Tomlinson out, we hardly stood a chance, but life must go on, I guess.
Sob, Sob. Shirlann
-
Shirlann- I feel for you.
Even though I live in Jersey I was rooting for the Packers. I feel sooo bad for Bret Farve. The only consolation is that the Pats are going to kill the Giants!! Not sure if I'll even watch the game.
Valerie

Hello everyone xxx
I hope you all had a nice Monday..
I am feeling really nauseated at the thought of tomorrow....I DON'T WANT TO GO .... IT IS THE WORST THING IN THE WORLD !!!! WORST WORST WORSTEST!!!! W O R S T E S T!!!!
I have just visited the doc.... and it was cross communication...but I got all my tablets ...so thats one stressy thing out the way...
It is soooo windy here...I stood looking at my reflection in the glass at the docs reception...and I jumped out of my skin...my stupid wig looked like something from hammer house of horror....LOLOLOL...I jumped that much I bumped into an old dear behind me...
I am so relieved to know that difficulty sleeping with silly mastectomy is common...at the moment when I wake up I have pain down both my arms...the other is chemo vein pain...I feel really delibidated when I get out of bed...I cant use either of my arms to get up...thats when I really curse...what a slap in the mush to wake up to...xxx
Well I will go and make a cuppa....I hate Mondays....I just read that January 21st is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year...surely theres more than one LOL xxx
Karyll....soon it will be summer and we will all feel a lot better...you are having such a nice rest at the moment...you have well and truly earnt it...are you going back to work after chemo xxx
Is that the football in America...it sounds great to watch..although I am sorry for your losses....could be worse ...could be England in the last world cup ...lol....
Ulla is it our binge week this week ...lol.....yum yum ....just give me 4 days for the orrible sickness to go!!
Much Love xxx

sue, I am glad to see you back. I just got caught up on what happened this weekend. Please Sue, don't give up, Remember that your boys need a momma around and the bad days will get farther and farther apart.
About the football, I was pulling for the Giants so I was glad that they won. My dh played football in high school but my son played soccer starting at age 7. When I started dating my husband he had to learn the rules of soccer so he could keep up at John's games.
This morning I got up with the outside temps at 15 degrees and they are calling for more snow tomorrow morning. We need the moisture so I am not complaining.
