I love you
when you bow in your mosque,
kneel in your temple,
pray in your church
For you and I are sons of one religion,
and it is the spirit.

Moments of hope fulfilled will come your way many times in life. Be ready to get strapped into the seat, hold on to the rope, be lifted high in the sky and let your spirit soar. Keep your hopes up.
Thelma Wells, Irrepressible Hope Devotional -
What soap is to the body,
tears are for the soul.

A smile happens in a flash,
But the memory of it can last
A lifetime!

Telling Your Healing Story
by Sandra Schubert
The Healing Process
Mourning the loss of what you had is a natural part of the healing process. After naming your losses, you can look at those losses with an eye towards healing.
~ Things to Remember ~
Healing has no timetable
Healing has no set formula or form to it
Healing is to be honored no matter the form it takes. Some gifts come disguised in plain wrapping.
Healing is a transformation taking you to new and unexpected levels.
Healing can mean the healing of your spirit, a relationship or the physical body.
Sharing your tale is an important part of the your healing process. Realize the pain of loss may not go away. It will subside and transform over time, but the experience will contribute to the fabric of your life, and your healing story. -

Childhood is that state which ends
the moment a puddle is first viewed
as an obstacle instead of an opportunity.
--K.Williams -

All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous unpremeditated act without benefit of experience.
(Henry Miller) -

Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities - always see them, for they're always there. ~Norman Vincent Peale -
Too often we underestimate
the power of a touch,
a smile,
a kind word,
a listening ear,
an honest compliment,
or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential
to turn a life around.
--Leo Buscaglia--

Earth is my country
and mankind my family~ (Khalil Gibran)

Grieving loss is not about forgetting. Grieving allows us to heal, to remember with love rather than pain. It is a sorting process. One by one you let go of the things that are gone and you mourn for them. One by one you take hold of the things that have become a part of who you are now and build again. -
These are beautiful thoughts. Thanks for keeping this thread going.
Love to all,

all mankind are my brethren

Positive distractions

Distractions can be helpful or they can be harmful. It all depends on what they distract you from and what they distract you toward.
You can learn to use distractions to break yourself free from negative thought patterns. And you can also learn to let go of the things that would otherwise distract you from positive, productive thoughts and efforts.
Distractions don't distract you of their own accord. They require your cooperation.
That puts you in a position to make a powerful choice. You can choose to indulge only those distractions that help you, and to let the others just go on by.
Distractions can be very compelling. And so you can use them to your advantage, to help move you in the direction you have chosen to go.
Find yourself some good, positive, interesting distractions, and make strategic use of them to keep you going steadily forward. Select your distractions wisely, and put them to work in your life.
-- Ralph Marston -

When guilt rears its ugly head
confront it,
discuss it and let it go
The past is over
~ Forgive yourself and move on~
-

Stand still
The forest knows
Where you are
You must let it find you.
--David Wagoner~~From Lost:
I am because we are, and because we are, I am.
--African proverb
-
"The miracle is this - the more we share, the more we have."
-Leonard Nimoy -

" Life is hard by the yard; by the inch it's a cinch."
--- J. Maurus --- -
It is only when we silent the blaring
sounds of our daily existence that we can
finally hear the whispers of truth that
life reveals to us, as it stands knocking
on the doorsteps of our hearts.
--K.T. Jong--

Year's end is neither an end
Nor a beginning but a going on,
With all the wisdom that
Experience can instill in us.
