TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS

Vickie, I love your avatar! I really like it better than the doll, no offense, but the doll kind of creeped me out.
I've enjoyed reading all of your posts, don't have too much to add. My friend from CA is here and we are going to play Bingo tonight, that's her favorite thing to do. I have meetings in the morning, but feel pretty good about school, at least my own classes. I wish I could help the other teachers more, but I gave them my number and no one has called, so I'll just have to accept that.
Deb, I totally know how you feel! I went through what you did, got bone scan, pet scan, etc., and then went ballistic since they didn't find anything! Actually, I had 2 MRIs that showed Degenerative Disc Disease, so that's just something I'll have to live with. Get it checked out, but be glad when they tell you that it's ok, not that you are mad about the waste of time and money.
Have a good evening. -
IRIS! I missed your Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAL!!!
Come to my wagon and have some cake with me! -
Hi,Gina!
Thank you so much as I love cake! Just got to get three appts over w/and I am getting me the biggest and baddest birthday cake! Not supposed to have the cholest and got tests soon! Dropped my dec cake on the sidewalk as I tried to celebrate early! Man,did I say a few choice words and scooped the rest and salvaged some! Does this tell you abt my coordination?
How abt you and your eye? I sure hope it feels better. You are so right abt educating some of the med folks. Dr Google and I are real tight! Take care!
This Circle-what can I say? All of the wishes yesterday and today! Thank you for letting me write so much! Bye from Smallville!

Iris glad you are enjoying your own little town! haha

Hi ladies,
Survived the weekend with my mother here. I love her, but she drives me crazy!
Margaret, thanks for the directions on posting pictures! I will try it later this week when I get a minute to sit and play...right now I am still trying to get caught up on my weekend chores.
I had the two suspicious moles removed on Friday and now I have to wait two weeks to get the results. But I am not all that worried. I am a little more worried about the breast MRI I have coming up on the 24th. If something lights up that needs to be biopsied, I think I will probably freak out a little. But, I guess I will just cross that bridge when I come to it.
I still have a ton of laundry to do, but I will stop back in tomorrow morning!
Kristin -
Happy Sunday Afternoon
Nicky, Hope you can fit into your black dress, I have half of one closet that I am saving, I am hopeful that I will again fit into them someday . they are my favorite clothes. Sigh
Angel, I noticed when you came into the circle, you were able to jump right in and it was like you already knew everyone. I have never had the gift of chat, I admire those who do.
Robin, good luck tomorrow, I had diep in NOLA if you need any info about that
Deb, I understand totally after this dx, twinges or aches that we would have overlooked before, we now stop and think I wonder
Peter, I miss you too, we never chatted but I did read your posts, always looked forward to them.
Puppy, have you heard from Rocky?
Iris, my son is in NC too, poor thing is staying in motel now that wife has someone else.
Madison, hope daughter is improving.
Melody, I have a friend in Gilbert, dont know how you guys stand that heat, I would miss the greenery far too much to live there I think.
Vickie, hope you had a restful Saturday.
Denise, you have your rant anytime you feel like it, who knows, I may have one myself one of these days. I had mine on the phone to my grandson, he owes me money I lent him to buy a car and he is not attempting to pay me back. Grrrrrrrrr
ODaly ..still praying for good news for your sister. -
Thanks Deb, It helps to know I'm not the only one with a pea brain when it comes to computers!! Gonna try it again!
Doris: My niece just moved from Gilbert and my Son's fiance was raised in Gilbert and her family still lives there! Small world!
I'll be back,
Denise -
ok...is anyone having any luck getting into the Pinkstock site?
Maybe we need Charlene's Karl to build us one! -
Madison I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter being sick. And she missed Jimmy Buffet. That's double do-do. (that's even worse than crummy buttons)
Vickie I will go check out the pinkstock site. I still have pictures to upload.
Robin, I'm glad it's going a little better at home. I know it's too little too late but maybe the stress level is a little lower.
Denise, what are you ranting about. I start reading messages from the end back to the last time I posted. I have missed your rant. Also, sent you a PM but you have not answered.
Odalys, I have the same reaction. Not thrilled about the new look and to me it doesn't work any better but as you say, it's not my board so I'll just be grateful!
Nicki that's cool that we have an anniversary coming. Seems like longer than a year. A year though in internet time is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.
Melody, just curious, how hot is it in AZ? They threaten us with 104 everyday but then tell us it only reached 99. I think there gauges are broken. LOL
bbl, hugs to all

Subject: It's Time for Answers
How is the next commander-in-chief going to fight the number one killer of Americans under 85?
I am no longer content to let the cancer question go unanswered.
That is why the Lance Armstrong Foundation is hosting the first-ever LIVESTRONG Presidential Cancer Forum to make sure our next President knows that Americans across the country expect cancer to be a national priority. In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on August 27 and 28, we will ask Democratic and Republican presidential candidates to go on the record with their plans to fight cancer.
As a member of the LIVESTRONG Army and a leader in the fight against cancer, I need you to be part of the LIVESTRONG Presidential Cancer Forum, demanding answers to the cancer question. Here's how you can get involved:
Get your tickets. The LIVESTRONG Presidential Cancer Forum is open to the public, and tickets are free. Quantities are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Submit your questions. Lance Armstrong and MSNBC Hardball host Chris Matthews will ask candidates questions from the public.
Spread the word. Ask friends and colleagues to sign the LIVESTRONG Army petition to make it clear that our next President must be prepared to answer the cancer question.
As of this week, Democratic candidates Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator John Edwards and Governor Bill Richardson have confirmed their participation for the Democratic LIVESTRONG Presidential Candidate Forum on August 27. Republican candidates Senator Sam Brownback, Governor Mike Huckabee and Governor Tommy Thompson have confirmed their participation in the Republican LIVESTRONG Presidential Candidate Forum on August 28.
The goal is to get rid of this disease forever. The LIVESTRONG Presidential Cancer Forum gives all Americans the opportunity to ask the candidates. What's your plan? And where does cancer fit into your policies?"
Together, as the LIVESTRONG Army, we can put an end to cancer.

Nope, I still can't get on the site Vickie! Thinking it's me.
Susan: Hey to you......I was just ranting cuz I actually posted to alot of 'individuals' last night..(with 2 day old notes) and did not copy and got the stupid "invalid" thing....
I think I need a massage!
I answered your pm if it was the one about the topic I asked you about and you said what you were gonna do and who was mailing what! That's my way of keeping secrets!!
Anyhow, if you didn't get it let me know........I'm in!
brb....DD on phone.
Denise -
I can't get on either. I wonder if it is because I don't have my own Myspace account??
Has anyone else been getting kicked off this site tonight? I have been bumped off 3 times! What a pain...
I am going to go make some dinner. The menu tonight is lemon pepper chicken done on the grill. Fresh salad with all the greens and veggies from my garden and roasted Yukon Gold potatoes with olive oil, garlic and herbs....anyone want to join me?
Hugs

Madison-How's your daughter doing?
Take Care everyone!

here is a joke. I might be repeating myself
The History of the Middle Finger
Well, now......here's something I never knew before, and now that I know
it, I feel compelled to send it on to my more intelligent friends in the
hope that they, too, will feel edified. Isn't history more fun when you
know something about it?
Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory
over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured
English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to
draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable
of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the
native English yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as
plucking the yew" (or "pluck yew").
Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset
and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the
defeated French, saying, see, we can still pluck yew!
Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant
cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals
fricative F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the
one-finger-salute!
It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the
long bow that the symbolic gesture is known as "giving the bird."
IT IS STILL AN APPROPRIATE SALUTE TO THE FRENCH TODAY!
And yew thought yew knew every plucking thing. -
WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN
Father O'Malley walks into a pub in Donegal, and says to the first man he meets, "Do you want to go to Heaven?"
The man said, "I do Father."
The priest said, "Then stand over there against the wall."
Then the priest asked the second man, "Do you want to go to Heaven?"
"Sure, Father, and who wouldn't?" was the man's reply.
"Then stand over there against the wall," said the priest.
Then Father O'Malley walked up to Murphy and said, "Do you want to go to Heaven?"
Murphy shook his head and said, "No, I don't Father."
The priest said, "C'mon lad... I don't believe this. You mean to tell me that when you die you don't want to go to Heaven?"
Murphy said, "Oh, when I die, yes. Sure, I thought you were getting a group together to go right now." -
I can't believe how long it took me to catch up on this thread from yesterday. I really wonder if I will have time to keep up in the future but hey I will give it my best shot.
lini--sending prayers your way.
Madison--prayers for your daughter. Hopefully she is feeling much better by now.
Deb--prayers for your health. I am hoping you just need some rest. Pinkstock was quite a trip for you.
Jankay--Our pastor at church today was talking about how we try to hide our realselves from God all the time. Your post seemed to go right along with his service.
Gina--I hope your eye feels better. Sorry you had to be your own doctor when you were talking with your sub-doc today.
Nicki--We have almost an acre and my dog rarely spends time outside unless we are out there.
Margaret--DH came home with a new laptop for me. Now I just need all my data from the other computer. I lost all my email addresses.
Puppy--I just love your inspirational posts.
Charlene--Hello to you too.
Vicki--B-stings are no fun. I hope you are feeling better.
Odalys--loved your picture post is was great.
SoCal--Thanks for sharing our picture with everyone.
Everyone I missed please know I am new at this and trying very hard to keep up. Hope you all have a great evening. -
"Honey, I'm home..."
Hello everyone! I am back from my vacation...sigh... and preparing for chemo number 6 (the LAST one) on Tuesday if all my labwork is good! I am SO excited but also dreading having to feel like krap again!
I just came back from the "Weekend to End Breast Cancer" walk. My cousin was a participant. We were all at the finish line for her (it's a 2-day, 60km walk) VERY emotional - I bawled my guts out so I'm sitting here with puffy eyes. Seeing so many survivors...overwhelming!
I tried to read the posts that occurred while I was gone but honestly, there were over 1400 (!!) I got through about 6 pages and gave up and went to bed! So, just as I was starting to get a grasp on who was who in this fine Circle, I am starting over again. So, I will give a very general "shout out" to everyone! Whoever has been going through tough times (be it themselves or family) I sincerely wish for better times for you and for everyone- I hope all is well.
I must say that I am so glad to hear that Puppy's surgery went well and that you are back on line! I was thinking about you, in particular while I was away.
I never did get the guts to go topless and show off my stubbly chrome dome while on vacation, so now my face and bod are a lovely golden brown and my head is almost blue-white! VERY attractive!
Happy Sunday to all of you.
Mandy -
Welcome home Mandy...
I am stumped as to why you all can't get into the Pinkstock site. You should be able to log in with the email address and password I gave you and actually upload photo's, blog, change backgrounds...whatever you wish. I'll talk to my dd and see what she thinks.
sorry to not tuck ya all in tonight...know that I love you all and appreciate all the love I get in return.
Good night
Vickie -
Hey all! Vickie, so sorry I haven't been around in 'word' but you all never leave my thoughts, ever! That is rude of me to not check in.
I am doing awesome! I base that on a minute by minute analysis cause that's what makes me love and enjoy each and every minute! So far that makes hundreds of thousands of awesome minutes!!!
I sooooo love Pink Stock!!!!!!! Sure wish I could have been there!
All my heart girls,
Deese -
DEESE, you checked in - YEAH!!!!!!!
I've got to finish getting things ready to head to see daughter and family tomorrow morning; wanted to drop in and say goodnite to all.
DebC, hope you are feeling better today.
Gina, Cheri, you gals have been quiet. Gina, you never say much about yourself unless you are stressed to the hill but is your eye better. Nicki- you normally let us know what the nurse in you thinks but haven't seen your thoughts on Gina's eye. I always like to see what you think on these things.
Vicki, my dear, Myspace is Outer space to me. Good luck; I seem to have to ask for help doing simple things here. I've checked it out with teenage workers and looks like lots of trouble to set up and keep up with. I do good to keep up here - I;m sure you spent lots of time getting the Pinkstock stuff up and going and must be frustrating that the gals can't get into it - I'm sure you'll get it fixed.
Where is Jas and Amy today and MB too.
Nite sisters, sleep well. Brenda -
Hey deese, good to see you again. I'm glad you are having all those awesome moments. I was just telling Carrie that I went through Ohio on my way to Pinkstock and I should have hollered at ya'll from the freeway.
xo
susan
denise, remember what we talked about at Pinkstock. that's what I was pm'ing about. (sounds kinda like pms'ing)
susan -
Hello CG's - I haven't been here since last Tuesday. I was at my folks in Florida Wednesday through Friday and did not get on line. Came home in time to get Shabbat dinner in the oven. I now need to go back and read all the posts and catch up. Tomorrow is back to work for me. I'm not ready, but I guess I will have to be come the morning. All my stuff is ready to go in my car. It is way too HOT to go back to school - in the 90's. Miriam has one more week of summer vacation. Sending everyone hugs for feel good days. Sweet dreams. Karen in Denver
-
I didn't know there was a special pinkstock website! Oh well, what happens in Pinkstock stays in Pinkstock
Hey Susan, did Buffy survive all the travelling?? -
Hey Gina
How is the eye? Thanks for your kind words last night. I still have all my aches and pains, but am not as freaked out by them today. I think I have my head on a bit straighter tonight.
Vickie is setting up a place to download all the photos. we thought that this site might totally crash if we all downloaded the bazillion photos we took...we even have pictures of people taking pictures.
I think there are still a few glitches to work out...I have not been able to sign on yet...but I am a computer moron...so I'm sure the other gals are doing better with it. I'm sure that once it is really up and working right you can get the link from Vickie.
I am doing a bit better emotionally today. Unfortunatly I was up half the night with a sick dog and a cat that decided to fight with a stray in the front yard. There is nothing quite as noisy as a cat fight at 3 in the morning. For all the noise Missy is just fine...just really MAD that another cat dared come near HER house...goofy cat. she is the same one that spent a whole day on the porch roof hiding from the coyottes one night because she wouldn't come in the house. This cat has NO sense.
I have not had time to read and catch up...maybe tomorrow
Hugs and good night all. -

Good Evening everyone. Gee, I didn't think I was ever going to be able to get this read and posted. I do hope I didnt worry anyone. The leg. Well, it is a good thing that I have a dr. appt. tomorrow. I'm afraid he'll refer my to an infection spec. but i don't know. My dh came in unexpectedly today and he hadn't seen it since it had gotten bad and of course, he wanted me to go to the ER this afternoon. But he hadn't seen if before. Actually the oozing plain skin is drying up but there's still leakage out of the holes in my shin. He nagged all day. I knew it was alright to wait one more day. But, not even I would wait any longer than tomorrow. I am concerned.
Nicki, so good that you could get out tomorrow and enjoy yourself. You seem to be doing much better in that area.
Brenda, thank you. You are such a good friend.
Jankay, thank you for sharing your funnys with us.
Charlene, I haven't heard from Mena since last week when she called while you and I were IM'ing. So we'll just have to wait until she turns up, I guess. No speculation here.
Melody, I stayed out of the heat today too. But then I guess I always do.
Odalys, thank you for asking about Amber going to school, she is going for Nursing. She had started right after H.S. and dropped out so at least she has a few credits. If she'll not quit if it gets too hard.
Iris, my friend, when you were able to salvage part of your cake you did wait until you got inside to partake, or did you just sit down and eat it with your hands? I think if I'd been you I would've been tempted. hahahah I just cannot picture that of you in my head. Hummm, but i can of me LOL
Odalys, good thing there wasn't an emergency cigarette in that survival kit...I still crave those hateful things after over 4 months. Dang it.
Puppy, seems our children who bring us our greatest joy can sometimes cause us the worst worry of all. Good luck with your son.
Sheri, I'm with you, no offense, Vickie, but i think it was because it was a closeup of the dolls face that creeped me out because it was a beautiful doll.
Mandy, so glad to see you posting. I didn't realize you'd been on vacation. I thought you'd just kind of moved on. So glad you're back.
Deese, my goodness it's good to see you're pretty face. You need to keep us posted more often.
Brenda, do enjoy your visit with dd and family, but don't stay away too long.
Suzola, you and Neesie speaking in some kind of code just to tease the rest of us? It worked, at least with me. lol
Jazz, did I see a post from you today?
Gina, i didn't know we had a Pinkstock Myspace either til tonight. Or if i heard, it didn't soak in. I don't think it will hold all the pics and posters and traffic at heavy times. But I don't know. If I knew the password i'd try it now when it's in the middle of the night with no traffic. What was the reason the girls didn't post them here on the forum again? How's that bee sting, girl friend??
Shirley, I wish you'd get your little hiney home!
Shokk, didn't see any posts from you. I miss them.
Theresa, Pam, miss your posts and some others too.
Peter, what a wonderful welcome you had coming back. I've never seen just one man please so many women all at the same time before. You must have something very special about you to be so popular to have these ladies begging and posting pretty friendship cards to you. How nice for you.
Well, once again, I have stayed up much too late. I will be glad to go to the dr.tomorrow to see about this leg, i am worrying about it. I want you all to know how much I really appreciate your concern and asking about me and checking on me, all the emails, calls, and pm's. I really felt loved and that is a wonderful feeling. I am so happy to be a member of this circle and hope we have it a long time.
Hey my friend, Marsha, I missed getting back to you this morning, sorry. Hope you're doing alright. And Mena hope you feeling well. Hi ya Amy.
Wishing all of you from Amy to Z the ending of a peaceful night and a wonderful week ahead.
Your Friend,
Cheri -
Good morning everyone.
Happy Birthday, Vickie. Hope it's a wonderful one for a wonderful lady.
I'm keeping up with everyone. I'm on my last week of work. I have my exit interview either tonight or tomorrow night. And no it's not with her. The board asked someone else who is on the personal committee to do it.
I finally got my grass cut late yesterday afternoon. Well I almost got it cut. We live beside a Baptist church, so I left that small side part for tonight when they aren't there. Lawn mower is a noise, but not a joyful noise.
Tony said yesterday he hopes I take some time before I get another job. That was so nice to hear. I wanted to take a little break, but didn't want to worry him about the finances. So I have the green light.
No notes today. Love, prayers and hugs to all.
Betty -
Good morning Betty I am delighted to see you back to posting in the morning, you have been missed. Good for you taking a little break and recharging for the next job. Have a great day. Marsha
-
Crap...just hit a wrong button and my whole post disappeared.
Betty and Iris...thank you!
Iris...our birthdays are close...gotta stick together.
Gina...I'll send you a link to the Pinkstock site but we are having technical difficulties to say the least! It's startin to tick me off.
To those who are trying...instead of going to your myspace and logging in there...go to the main myspace website and click login and try that. Make sure you are logged out of your account...me thinks this is a bigger pain in the butt than its worth. big sigh. I so wanted you all to be able to post pictures and blog there.
Jankay...I did what you asked yesterday morning. Hope today is better.
Jasmine...where are you?
Wake up Nickster...sunshine sister!
Cheri...please go to the doctors today!
Madison and Liz...where are my giggle sisters...could use a laugh or two today.
Hey you know what...with is wrong with me...I'M 46 TODAY...THEY SAID I WOULDN'T SEE 46!!!!!!!! I'M STILL FRIGGIN HERE HA!!!!! Thank God I'm still here. For my kids and my wonderful new family that I've found here. I love ya all.
Off to work before I start bawlin (you all know how I am LOL).
Vickie -
Good morning sunshine sister Marsha.
Liz...oh you are a sneaky one. I saw the thread...I love ya.
Love ya all
Vickie
