Miracle of flight….I am home we had some delays from weather, but it is great to be home. I love to go on vacations, and it was great to meet everyone, but shoot-howdy…I love my family and my house, and my dog….it’s good to be HOME! Not only that but it is 72 degrees, sunny and COOL…Yeah!

I have not had time to read and catch up, but hopefully tomorrow I will.

I’m going to go spend some time with my girls

    Love Ya all

Hi all! I spent my day off trying to get the lawn mowed in between rain showers . It had to get done though.

Cheri, I'm glad you are feeling a little better about your leg, but don't hesitate to get to the ER if it's worse. I think cellulitis can be fairly serious also. Oh, didn't you like my little kitty last night? I love dogs too, girlyfriend. I am a big lover of ALL animals.

Brenda, you tried to put your feet in your bra???? Wow! That does sound like you are being affected by the heat and maybe a little chemo brain thrown in for good measure .

Charlene, I do love my Eagles! But, my boss is a HUGE Steelers fan, so I have to put up with everything Steelers for the whole season, lol! He even went to Steelers Fantasy Camp a couple of years ago. The man is obsessed!

Puppy, Oh no, Rocky left????? ((((((((Puppy)))))))) You must stay strong! I hate to hear that Ed's family never accepted your sons. That's just not right. I agree with Nicki's penguins! He needs a smack upside his head!

Marisa, Wow! Two job offers? That's great!

Guz, congrats on the one year intervals. I see my onc every 4 months and I'm almost 3 years out of tx.

    JanKay, how's your day going?

Shirley, I have to say, the bra quilt you made was absolutely gorgeous!!! It was so clever the way you put the whole thing together.

Amy, Tucker started school already??? The kids around here don't start until after Labor Day. It's been stinking hot here also. Tody we had rain showers and the temp dropped into the 60's. Yay!!! We turned off the air!!

Okay, gotta go now. We have to take the RV to get inspected and I'm hoping we don't get a huge bill. Love you all from Amy to Z!!!!

Hey all just got off the phone with Shirley, told her I was gonna run and beat her to the computer to post that we are meeting for dinner/drinks/bar dancing next Thursday! I can't wait, she has such a good sense of humor! I do love a funny girl. Her sister and family are still struggling with the loss of their son and can just imagine that having our Sherloc there is a great help.

Amy, hahaha one of my favorite scenes of all times in a movie is that dang hannibel lector feeding the FBI guy his own brains. Just stir fried them right up. Sick sick sick.........

I have a sister in Claremore or Claremoron as she calls it LOL! You are only about 30 minutes from me!

I received all my treatment at St John.

    Deb - 72 degrees!! It's at least 150 here! (okay, it's ONLY 101 but feels like 150)

Cheri I'm with everyone else. Your not allowed to change one bit. And cellulitis is not a simple thing. If thats what it is you need to be on antibiotics.

Marsha said she was gonna beat me. We'll see if she's already posted when I hit the button. Were having dinner next week. Woo Hoo. Apparently she has a friend who knows a bar where dancing on the furniture is allowed. Yehaw!!!

Jan, thank you. I am happy the quilt turned out as it did. Wasn't what I had pictured in my brain but they often aren't. Even happier that CY is now its mommy.

Nicki, I read about your job interview. Yowsers. What does a potential employer possibly need with a credit check? I woulda said no thanks too.

Off for the night love you all to bits.

Amy - I don't know HOW my backyard is growing in this heat! The front is all brown and pretty much dead, but the back is so green and lush! I don't get it. Surely it will die off like the front But my neighbors (who are mostly retired) have these lush, green lawns...and then there's mine. Oh well.

Think I'm gonna try and sneak out of work now. I may have only worked three days this week, but it seems like a full week!

    Hugs to all!

Sorry I haven't posted much. Just got on the computer for the first time in a few days. Cheri, hopefully you can get the infection cleared up soon. Odalys, how's your sister? Nicki, glad you were smart enough to recognize when a job change isn't necessarily the best thing. Sometimes my dh wants to change jobs because he gets so frustrated. I'm kind of frustrated with him right now because he had me get his resume on the internet, some potential employers called and now he hasn't followed through. So he's depressed because he hates his job, but doesn't do anything about it. He's been sick for almost 2 weeks now, but should be feeling better. On Wednesday, his day off, he seriously didn't move off the couch! I had to take Joe to get his wisdom teeth pulled, take care of the post op, took Micah to the pool, cook dinner and work on school stuff. He just sat there! Yesterday, another day off, I had all day meetings at school. He called in the middle and said he needed to go into work to help save labor costs, but had promised Joe and Sarah he'd drop them at the movies and there was no one to watch Micah. So he dropped Micah off at my meeting. He was a good boy and was quiet, but he shouldn't have had to come! Then dh doesn't come home until 9:00!

We had meetings again this morning and I had work to do in my room. We have most of our furniture, but still waiting for more books. We hired our 10th grade homeroom/science teacher YESTERDAY! The 7th grade homeroom/math teacher called yesterday morning and is having a serious family crisis. I still don't know the details, but I think she left her husband. So, now we are still short a teacher and school starts Tuesday! I am training both new teachers at our campas and no one has really told me to do this, but I just did it anyway. They are both brand new teachers who just graduated 2 weeks ago.

Ok, I could go on and on, you see why I've been gone? Micah's Open House is in 30 minutes, so I need to go, but I really wanted to touch base with all of you. On top of everything, I am coming down with something. I have a soar throat and the beginnings of the sniffles. Oh, yeah, one more thing. I have a friend from CA coming in to visit on Sunday and my parents are coming on Monday! Can you say "Stress?"

I just keep repeating "I love my job, I love my job". I hope to be able to check in again soon. Please, all of you know I'm thinking about you and want to be here even if I'm not.

Dee, I hope your daughter is feeling better!
Marsha and Shirley! How cool you will get to meet!
Puppy, I don't know why Ed is acting that way towards Rocky, I just want to tell you how sorry I am that you have this stress now. I hope Rocky knows how many aunts he has that care for him!
Odalys, I have been where you are. I remember so much more clearly the day my sister was dx'd than I do the day I was. It brings out all our sisterly protectiveness and plus we get MAD! You have my prayers that see will be ok.
Cheri, could you please take a Sharpie pen and draw a circle around the perimeter of your infection? This way if it gets bigger you will know. Please please please get to a doctor SOON.
Beth I am sorry that you have another infection too. I truly think that the bacteria are outsmarting all of our antibiotics on the market today.

I am missing about ten people I took notes on but I will have to come back because I am getting one of those waves of Ick hitting me right now.

Girls, if you have a son or daughter in the military, please let me know. I would want to cover them first.

I will try to be back later.

    love,

    well good evening all,
Gonna make a quick walk of the parimeter and see who is up and who needs tucking in. Appears to be a bit quiet today.
Rainy, dark and cool here tonight so I'm going to throw another log on the fire to keep the dampness away.
Iris...I missed you! Turn off the alarm so I can come in and give ya a hug. I so love that picture of you!
CasinoGirl...I just love that name! I love how we fooled everyone into thinking you followed Christine back and wouldn't leave Pinkstock...sweet dreams.
Christine...drank a Smirnoff Watermelon tonight and can barely get out of the chair! Gonna have to move to the serious drinking thread. I don't how I managed to drink so much at Pinkstock and still walk in a straight line and tonight just one has knocked me down.
Puppy..sending a hug...pm me if you need me.
Cheri...rats ass LOL! I love ya. Don't change...we need you straightforward honesty. (see what ya get for double dog daring me).
    Z...where are you?
Marsha...oh lucky girl...have a wonderful time with Shirley. I can't wait to get to Florida (yes, I'm gonna drive you all crazy with my DD visit to Florida...can't help it...haven't seen her since last September and that's just too long to wait).
Madison...oh...food poisoning sucks! I know...I got salmonella poisoning from seafood salad a few years ago. Truly thought I was going to die and afraid that I wouldn't...it was that bad BUT...the meds worked really fast and I felt amazingly better within a day or so. Hope the same goes for your DD. Miss ya.
Nicki...we do keep missing each other! I can't seem to drag myself out of bed in the morning and you go to bed with the chickens LOL. That's ok...just means we got both ends of the circle covered.
BikerJan...wanna come mow my lawn now. It's grown like crazy in the past week. Hoping it isn't going to rain here tomorrow. Housework is all done and it's the only thing on my list for the weekend as far as work goes...yippee. Miss ya.
Deb...you're home safe and sound. Hug that family and have sweet dreams. Miss you too.
Guz...heehee...had to go out and get Nate one of those Frisbee's...what fun they are! They work much better when the wind isn't blowing!
Shirley...sending hugs to you. The quilt was absolutely amazing. So very beautiful! We had such fun reading all the names and trying to find our bra's!
Beth...well well...enough already. Hope this infection clears up soon and you get healed and through this whole thing.
Liz...it was so pickin good to hear your voice! It was surely ESP.
ok...done run outta ummp...fallin asleep at the computer.
    Love and hugs all around.

Good evening sweet sisters. Words cannot express how grateful I am for all your prayers and kind words. You guys are the greatest. Thank you for helping me get through a very tough day yesterday. Both sister and I are doing better today. We have an action plan for dealing with this bump on the road. She is such a fighter. The first thing she told me this morning was "let's get this thing out!" I was able to get her an appointment with my surgeon on the 30th but she is considering having the biopsy next week. We are both hopeful it will be B9 but if it isn’t we will deal with it. DH and I have agreed to take care of her. She was such a rock during my ordeal and besides she is my baby sister. I have always been like a mother figure to her. We are hoping mom and dad don’t have to find out. They are elderly and mom is ill. It will be hard because she lives with them but we will try to pretend she is staying with us for a few days to enjoy Steven and the pool.
She decided to have the bx next week because the appointment with my breast surgeon is not until the 30th.

Woud you believe, the 30th will be exactly two years that I was diagnosed. Spooky, Oh God. No, I won’t let my mind go there. That would be giving bc too much power. Okay, enough about me.

NS – I know what you mean, sisters are so special. We sure don’t want to see them in pain.

Cheri – I hope your foot gets better. Please take care.

Peter – If you are reading this, I enjoyed our conversations. Sorry to see you go. I do hope you can find a support group you can talk with. This journey is too difficult to go at it alone. If you ever feel like coming back, I for one, will welcome you. Take care and be well.

Marsha – Are you feeling better? I see your sense of humor has returned. BTW- how is Ray?

Sheri – Good luck with the new teachers. Wow, they have no experience and will be teaching 7 and 10th graders. Yikes! This will be an interesting year. 

Lisa – I love your pics, such interesting and beautiful places in your travels.

Doris – thank you for such a beautiful prayer. I really appreciate it. I agree with you on being a protective mother. I always tell DH that people can mess with me but not with Steven. As a matter of fact, Steven’s second grade teacher has such a mean spirit and picked on Steven constantly. I ended up taking her to the school board and the school district. She was demoted and is no longer allowed to teach second graders. She picked the wrong kid to mess with, that is all I can say.

Puppy – sweat sister, so sorry you have to go through all this. Rocky sounds like a sweet son. I could tell from his post. You did good raising him.

Nicki – my first job was at a nursing home. Working there was not easy. There were folks who had no family or friends to visit them. That is no way to spend the last years of our life. It just broke my heart.

Marisa – so cool about the new job. Good luck on the interview. So you want to be a desperate house wife???

Charlene – you are a true Angel. How are you feeling?

Laura – all I can say about your past two weeks is WOW! Goodness, so much going on. No wonder you don’t have much energy. Understandable.

Jankay – glad to hear your PT went well. Love the pic of the beagle puppy.

Vickie- I am so excited you are coming to Florida. October is still hot here so you can pack lightly and there is no need to pack sweaters.

I look forward to our Florida get together. Disney sounds great.

What a long post! I know I didn't mention everyone but you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sending hugs to all my sisters from a to Z.

Happy to be back and thanks so much for the warm welcomes.

Puppy, you said Rocky went back to SC, is he in the military? Is it ok to ask where you live? If I am close, I would be happy to let your son stay with me for a bit.

Yes my son is going through a nasty divorce, she has someone else and Craig hates conflict. He is moving out tomorrow to a motel, I told him to just come on home now and not worry about working until he has some of these issues resolved, but he says he needs to stay there (Winston-Salem, NC) until they at least go through mediatation. I am so concerned that this stress will bring his Lymphoma out of remission.

I don't know where I put my purse most of the time so no way I will be able to address each of you "sorry", I think I have a terminal case of "chemo brain" lol. Anyway, a joyful, restful evening to each of you.
    Hugs

Good evening ladies. Finally able to get on here. Board looks good though. My leg isn't as achy tonight as it was yesterday. Gee, I sure hope it's celluitis. Who would've thought I'd be praying for a skin infection. It's the lesser of all the evils.
Amber got accepted for entrance and financial aid to a tech college in Springfield. She was so excited. She'd went a couple of years ago for one semester but she got back in. It's too late for fall session but not for Spring. She's going into Nursing. She's been a CNA and gave me my Neulasta shots and flushed my PICC line and set up antibiotics and she enjoys that sort of thing. Hope she sticks with it.

Oh no girly friends, you got it all wrong. I'm not changing my personality I'm still gonna be fun and straightforward because...well...I don't know how to be any other way. I'm just gonna try and keep that Bull Dog leashed up inside of me that jumps out every now and then. LOL You all know the one I mean, some of you know him all too well. hahaha Let's put it this way, I either have to leash him or get rid of him. So....

Nicki, no blisters just tender, red and sore, swollen too.

    Shokk, thanks for understanding.

Amy, I'm not leaving, I'm still the same person, just more..uh..disciplined. That may be a tall order. lol

Jankay, have fun tomorrow on your picnic. Don't get too hot.

Well. I thought I had more notes than that. In fact, i'm just sure of it. Wonder where they went. Well shoot, now what? EEK. I'll ad lib. Wing it.

Marsha, you have a message on Myspace. I sure hope you enjoyed the yucky, ugly pic of my leg. You just ain't right, ya know it? That's what I love about you.

Vickie, Hum. I thought we decided on a party at your house and i was bringing the men. I did hahahhaha, but they wouldn't post on the boards so you must have a look at em on your Myspace. You also have a very important message over there, what is wrong with this screen?

Iris, I'm sending you an email in a few min. You are just too kind.

To everyone from Amy to Z, I wish a good nights rest and sweet dreams. (ooh "sweet dreams"?) Oh well, I'm being nice.

Doris, I know everyone usually looks for their name and it's nice to be remembered even if the poster has to take notes it shows they took the time for others. I try to do that all the time but there's times I can't. I did actually lose a page of my notes just this evening.

    Hi Ladies,

So busy today trying to work and get Sara packed up. We leave at about 4 am tomorrow to take her to school. Her move-in time is 9:30. She is my happy-go-lucky kid and a big help to me and I will really miss her.

Looks like lots going on in the circle.

Odalys - I am glad that your sis is getting the biopsy sooner. The waiting and anxiety is too much. Understand about not telling the parents. We did not tell my Dad until the day before my surgery - why make them worry more than necessary. Will keep praying for benign.

Cheri - if the antibiotics are working you should start seeing some improvement in your leg. Cellulitis is a skin infection but it can turn into something more - so be careful and see the doc if it does not improve soon or looks or feels worse. I worked in microbiology/infectious disease for many years so I have some experience with this kind of stuff. Also try to eat yogurt - those antibiotics can do nasty stuff to your digestive system. Also don't change - we love you just the way you are.

Jankay - I hope you are going someplace cool for the picnic. Enjoy.

(((Puppy))) - so sorry about Rocky. Try to stay strong and get better then you can do what you need to do.

Madison - hope your dd is feeling better soon. Food poisoning is no fun - had it once and hope never to repeat.

Beth - clindamycin is a very strong antibiotic. Make sure you eat yogurt too. Clindamycin can cause C-diff colitis. See the doc if you get symptoms ASAP.

Marsha and Shirley will be dancing on the tables - how fun!

Sheri - sorry you are under so much stress. Summer colds are the worst IMO.

SoCalLisa - you take such beautiful pics. Wish you could have come to Pinkstock too.

Has anyone heard how LisaElder is doing? Haven't seen her post in a long time.

Vickie - A Smirnoff watermelon sounds so good. It is so hot here - we haven't had an August this hot since I don't know when.

Iris - are you using your tiny little screen again? Glad you are getting rain and it is cooling things off. Good your dad had a good dr visit.

Deb - so glad you made it home safe and sound. Your girls must have been so happy to see you. I may never be able to eat salmon here again - it was so good.

Denise- how was the art fair?

Well, I had better get to bed if I am going to be outta here by 4 am. Have a great weekend Amy, RobinTN, CasinoGirl, Guz, Silka,Cherryl, CY, Z, Tricia, MB, Susan, Colleen, ChristineK,BikerJan, WildJan, Brenda, Betty, BMD, Choca, Anne,JenniCA and everyone from A to Z.

    Love and hugs,
