Oh wow... get behind and you will never catch up! Hello all my sisters! It seems I come here several times a day and in the evening at some point but haven't been able to post. The makeup of this circle is like a kaleidoscope. Changing, adding colors, moving... but still beautiful.
I see we have several new members... I plead chemo brain on remembering your names.. but welcome! You will find this place a wonderful place to be.

Marsha... so sorry you are having difficulties. I had to take a break during my rads because of what the radiation oncologist called a "skin reaction." It seems that it depends which side of the radiation you are on as to whether or not you have a "skin reaction" or whether you are "burned." Unfortunately, my "skin reaction" looked like some kinds of nuclear waste...or nuclear burn. Fortunately, I hardly ever think about that anymore, although there is a significant amount of scar tissue that may eventually be removed by my surgeon. I do hope you feel better soon.
Cheri... we really know you are feeling bad no more than you are posting. So sorry to hear about the infection and hoping and praying the antibiotics start kicking its butt quickly. Take care of yourself.
((Puppy)) so glad to see you posting and so ecstatic that Rocky is home!!!
(((((Rocky))))) This is your "Aunt Pammy" and I want you to know what an answer to prayer it is for you to be home!
I know you are just the medicine your Mama needs to find the strength to keep moving in a positive direction. Just want you to know that we love your mom so much. She has truly made a big difference in my life, among others. Be kind to yourself, rest and recover. I am here if I can help in any way. Thank you for posting!
Odalys... my heart goes out to you dear and to your sister.
My sister and I are very close. When our Mama had colon cancer, Kim took care of mom while I went through my chemo.
She wanted to be with me, I wanted to be with mom... but we couldn't be both places. Please know you are both in our hearts and prayers and we understand your pain. Think B9.
We will all pray for that!
Vickie.. feel like I haven't talked to you in forever. As usual you are busy, but so glad you and Nate are fine. Tell me... what did he think about Pinkstock?
(((JANKAY))) I am so glad to know you had a good PT day today! How is your finger? I hope that you will continue to get stronger. It could happen! Love and prayers to you.
Shirley, God bless you for spending so much time with your sister. She needs you so. Just remember as well to take some time for you. We are lifting you up too.
Denise... dear sister... just know our hearts are kindred spirits. Some days are starting all over again. God bless you dear.
Nicki... you are amazing. Work, drive, interview, write..and swim 200 laps, I don't care how small the pool is, it is amazing.
Charlene (I still think you are more angel than Charlene), I love the sleeping angel you posted. I wish I were sleeping so peacefully! I had to drive to Atlanta this evening after I got off work to take Miles some clothes he left at home that he needed for tomorrow night. Traffic was bad on I85, especially in the construction zone. Let's just say I am proud to be here alive.
Margaret... your posts are always uplifting. Thanks for that. I think we all admire your stamina. Yoga this evening did you say? There are so many things I want to do, but ridiculous working hours makes a lot impossible.
I know I have missed many... please know ... from A to Z, you are in my heart. Just a thought to close....
Life is too short. And we only have one shot. Make choices you can live with. If I could go back many years, I can guarantee there would be fewer days that I was afraid to ask time off for and more school field days, honors days, etc. I would have in my memory. Save that money and go to FL. Spend as much time with those kids and grands while they are young. Make happy memories. One day at a time!! God bless you all.... love and prayers from the bottom of my heart... Pam
P.S. Peter... I miss you bro!!!!

Good Morning Everyone! Im going into work a little early this today - they are starting big bridge construction on the main hiway I use to get to work which is going to shut down 2 lanes on an already heavily traveled road. Rush hour in Chicago is so much fun.

Im hopoing I have a slower day today - would like to sneak out early, but I never know what my day will look like until I get to work for morning report. Its gonna be another hot one here in Chicago.

Well Im trying to catch up but reading 3 pages isnt gonna cut it for me this morning.

Shokk: I think we all go through those feelings sometimes. Before cancer, I thought I was invinsible. Now I realize Im not. But Im a survivor! So when I start feeling sad, I think about how really strong I am. I too would have enjoyed stories from Pinkstock.

Vickie: Where are you sunshine sister. Just one more day and then its the week-end.

Odalys: I know you are waking up with a heaviness in your heart. Just know that we are all here for you and your sister.

Robin: 4 courses a semester is alot. How many credit hours for each one? Anything above 9 credit hours would be full time, so dont over do it. Yes, NP is the new direction that nursing is going. I hope you enjoy your classes. As far as the interview. I look at things like this. I am interviewing them, just like they are interviewing me. I know when someone is throwing out psychological questions at me. This position has been open since February! Now I understand why. My opinion of them was this is not a company I want to work for. They are big corporate america, that was made obvious by their interview questions. Made me appreciate the job I have now thats for sure.

Denise: How we provide care for our older adults is sad. There are many nursing homes I wouldnt put my foot through the door. Guess thats why I travel 60 miles round trip. The SNF I work for is known as the Premier Home of the north shore. But we do sub acute rehab. Get people back into their home environments after having some therapy and stuff. We do refer some patients to supportive or assisted living facilities. Some of them are wonderful. In my opinion, Sunrise is not one of them. Looks like they have crossed the line and are taking in way too many frail people who arnt getting the care they need and just sit around doing nothing. This one appeared to be operating a nursing home under the auspice of being assisted living. OK - enough said - Im glad I have the job I have and if Im gonna change it wont be this particular direction.

Melody: Good luck on your job hunt. Sometimes I feel that is so draining, but I know you will come up with the right position.

Pam: Yesterday was sorta weird when I came home. My husband was egging me on to go into the pool. I wanted my usual evening computer board time. He got a telephone call on my cell phone, so I had to go out to the pool and give him the phone. Once I was out there and saw how nice the water looked - and how hot I was, it was easy to just jump in. In fact I canon balled my dear husband. This big fat body made the biggest splash.

MargaretB: Yoga is so great. Good for the mind, soul, and you will tone up and lose some weight with it. My life style right now is still in the cheating mode. Got up last night and ate a twinkie. Wish my DH would buy all this junk cause it is so tempting. Today is another day and I guess I will get back on track.

Brenda: These are the dog days of summer. Sounds like the heat is getting to you. I did a similiar thing. I have liquid soap with exfoliant that I use when I shower. Yesterday I put it in my hair instead of shampoo! Needless to say, I had a bad hair day.

Colleen: Good morning my friend. I have been hopping around trying to read all these posts and Im glad I came across yours. Hope you have a wonderful day today.

CY: Glad your home safe. You looked so good in the pictures from Pinkstock. Now its back to the real world again. The one thing I hate about vacation is trying to catch up my first day back. Good luck on your scans.

Once again, so many of you I have missed. Im glad I will have the week-end to catch up. Hello from A to Z and if I missed your name, please know that I love you. Gotta hit the shower.

DH is playing at a pub tonight, so I will have plenty of computer time - I hope!

    Good morning sweet family,
Its really dark on this end of the circle this morning. Damp, cool and rainy. Good sleeping weather if you don't have to go to work...darn!
Jan...I miss my Pinkstock girls too. A bunch...I can't wait till the next one when hopefully more of us can get together. Was I nakked? I can't remember heehee.
Christine! Wow...thats really neat. So many things in common. See..we are "family" all the way. I know that I really connected with everyone. I was worried about that when I started out...would it work...would we be "the same" ans we are here on the boards and I was so very happy that it did work. We are the same girls we see here...I was so comfortable with everyone and so happy to get real hugs for a change.
Good morning sunshine sister Nicki...you have to join us next time. Glad you didn't take the other job. Our board thought about starting the "credit check" thing and our exectutive director vetoed it...he said no way is it any of our business...whew. Seems like an invasion of privacy to me.
ooo...man over the fence...well..lets just say I tossed him overboard. There are no good men here. Its hopeless...don't care...I have my little guy. He takes good care of mommy.
Shopmama...I have missed you too. I have a special picture for you that I will send as soon as I get a chance. Hugs.
Whatever happened to Beth? I see no posts!
I think I'll sneak up on Liz and Madison and tweak there toes this morning...I'll take em coffee to start there day.
    Jankay...where did ya go?
Had a bit of a rough night with sister I don't mention (Nates um..."mother")...she called screaming and yelling, ranting and raving. What a piece of work. Nothing new...she just being her usual bratty self but I have added her to the toxic people list and am done answering her calls. If Derrick is being watched by DSS then it's all I can ask for.
Gotta get some happy this morning...I think it's the weather.
I love ya all and I'll be back in a bit.

    Good Morning Sunshine sisters,

Woke up at 3:00 a.m. to call military daughter so she could make a scheduled training.....she has some sort of virus and can't keep anything in her stomach....going to the flight doc in about 30 minutes. Gosh, wish I were closer to take care of her...

Time to say hello to all the new CG's. Welcome, pull up a wagon and visit.
Vickie, block out those negative calls....sending hugs your way.
Liz, hope you are feeling better.
Nicki, just had to do a credit check for part of my job last week....all these "regulations" can drive a person batty.
Brenda, it is hot here also. My car temp said 100 yesterday. Heat index is reaching 103-110. Absolutely miserable heat.
Gotta get ready for work....missing all of you
Hugs from A to Z....(speaking of Amy..those puppies are sooooo cute).

    Howdy Shirley, miss ya!!!

    Can I Help?

One summer evening a young son came in while his parents were setting the table for supper. Quite surprisingly, he asked if he could help.

His mother said, "No, but I appreciate you asking."

The child responded, "Well, I appreciate you saying no."

    Good Morning Everyone

I woke up grumpy and was looking for an image to match my mood .. then I thought, no, I need something to make me smile.

Where's PeanutsGirl? Laura, where did you go?

Jankay - good one, I Can relate lol

Nicki - Funny how the grass is greener until you go there huh? I'm glad your experience has shown you that your job isn't so bad after all. Now we gotta work on getting you that raise I'm sure you so well deserve!

Vickie - My weather was like yours and I didn't sleep in either, even tho I don't work. Darn breasts kept hurting. Just keep Nate and your Angel man, that's all you need right now. Sorry about your sister. We need to have a cyber party tonight.

Shirley - Howdy sweetie. I agree, no fair to the Pinkstockers not sharing their total experience with those of us who were there in spirit but not in body. Speak up girls!

Madison - Hoping your daughter is better soon. No matter their age we always want to take care of our kids. How old is she and what branch is she in?

Sending positive vibes to Cheri, Odalys, Kristen and Anne this morning, along with anyone else having doctor appointments today and next week.

For all you military families, does anybody have family stationed at Hickam AFB?

Love&Hugs to all from Aardvark to Zebra

I got a call back from the only civilian crime scene technician job in the state - they want an interview!

    Hi all,

Good morning! Thanks for all your good wishes about my appointment yesterday. Everything went well, and my doctor said that I graduated to a once a year appointment!

Margaret, as you can probably tell, I have a little Disney fixation. We go there frequently, and I'd be happy to help you with any planning for your trip.

Vickie, I told hubby about Nate at your docs office, and he said, "Oh no, my frisbee buddy! Is he OK?" So, not only does Nate have a bunch of aunties looking out for him, now Uncle Joe is worried about him too.

Charlene, I went to Disney twice last year, so it was actually cheaper for me to buy an annual pass than to buy two weeks worth of tickets. I also get a discount on the annual pass because I have a timeshare with Disney. It is a bad thing, though, because I keep checking for cheap flights so that I can go back and use my pass.

Cheri, I am worried about you. I'm glad that you will be seeing your local doc soon.

Casino Girl, why were you mowing the lawn in the heat?

Christine, all those coincidences are pretty freaky. How strange that you would have so much in common with someone you picked up at a casino in NY!

Madison, I hope your daughter is feeling better.

Robin, congrats on going back to school. I agree with Nicki...4 courses per semester is going to be quite a bit of work. I've been taking courses to get my special ed teacher certification, and two courses per semester has been about all that I can handle.

Brenda, my brother lives in NC, and he said that it is difficult to describe how uncomfortable the heat is.

CY, I'm so glad that you are home safe and I am saying prayers for good scans for you!

Deb, I hope you had an uneventful flight home! Thanks for the tip about the Karelian Bear Dog -- now hubby is obsessively researching those!

Melody, welcome to the Circle. You will love it here!

Well, I wish that I had more time, but I need to get to the grocery store or the kids will be eating slim jims and kool-aid for lunch!

Have a great day! Love and hugs to all from A to Z!

Good morning circle girls. Its almost the end of the week!

Christine, CasinoGirl -- that is very kewl how many things you have in common. What are the odds of that?

WildJan -- I love french toast. when is your son going to be home?

Naniam -- sounds like you are just stressed to the max. At least you know you left the house 'super clean'. How is your air conditioner holding up?

Angel -- I've been to Disney and your daughter would have a blast. Also, don't forget the Univeral Studios. That's funny about Eddie Murphy. I don't know why guys won't take responsibility but DNA doesn't lie.

Nicki -- is your pool inground? It sounds so nice. With the heat we're having this week its so tempting to consider getting one here too. I don't blame you for not taking the job. You would have been miserable. That's one thing I have here too. I may not like my company right now but they offer one thing that nobody else does and I just can't give it up right now. So, I'll just put up with the other crap.

Shirley -- big hugs for you. I sure do miss you in the circle but I know your sister needs you right now. Take care and hurry home when you can.

Sunshinelite -- what a perfect name for you. You always brighten our day with your funnies. I'll talk to you later.

Choca -- hello to you. Tell Wolfgang hello from the circle girls.

    Marsha -- I left you a funny.

Sheri -- where are you? How is school going? Is your classroom finally set up?

Ms. Z -- hope things are going well for your too.

Guz -- that is great news on the doc appointment.

Hi to Suze, Denise and everyone from A to Z.

    Well, better get to work.

    Morning, CGs.

    Thanks for asking, Charlene.

I'm still recovering from the wedding, baptism, and anniversary celebrations last weekend. Then throw in dr's appts for DH and his mother, a dead battery in their car, youngest DD moving back home after a break up with her boyfriend, a family funeral, and you'll understand a little of what my life has been like these past two weeks. I have very little energy left for anything else. We're also stressing a bit over DH's job. Can't go into to it here. Don't know who might be reading. That wouldn't be fair to his boss. It's a situation out of her control. All the celebrations were wonderful. Just wished they weren't the same week-end as Pinkstock, but family always comes first. The Grands were completely delightful, as expected.

Keeping everyone in my prayers, as always. Love reading your posts about Pinkstock. Hoping to go next time.

Hugs, healing, and prayers for all.
