One week ago today.
Good Morning Ladies,
DebC - I am with you when it comes to flying. My knuckles turn white hanging onto those arm rests. My dh laughs because it does look like I am trying to pull the plane up in the air. LOL Wishing you a safe trip home. You will be so happy to see your family.
Susan - welcome back. The next pic is for you. Anjali had so much fun with Buffy. She looks like she is smiling.
Nicki - it is best to wait and not take something unless you know it is right for you. Geez - didn't know they asked such intrusive questions. Loved your hero answer.
Shirley - glad you survived the hunt for Wilbur. The quilt is absolutely gorgeous. Missed you at PS. Hugs to your sister.
Marsha - your oncs office should be flushing your port - they are the ones that used it - right. Takes all of a minute maybe - geez. So sorry you are having such a rough time. Sounds like your docs have taken a course in how to make a patient crazy. I will be praying that the new BS will do what YOU want.
Odalys - sorry your sister has to wait another day - obviously the techs have never gone through something like this and don't realize how agonizing it is. Still praying for B9.
Vickie - glad your appointment went well. Nate is such a sweet little boy. I can understand, my mom had cancer when I was 9 and every time she went to the doc, I would be so worried until she got the all clear. I hate what it does to our children.
Kristin - B9,B9,B9.
I am so excited - my dd called from work yesterday - someone had two tickets to the Packers - Seahawks preseason game on Aug 18 and wanted to know if we wanted them - ah yes!. Jack is a huge fan - hasn't taken the smile off his face since we told him. I will go with him cuz we are football buddies - have watched every game with him since he was 2. DH is not much into sports - so I get to go. Never been to a game - Lambeau is sold out for years. If you sign up for season tickets now you might get them in 30 years!
Okay, almost time to leave to take dd to work - again. Two more weeks and she is off to school. Haven't been to the gym in more than a week and it is showing on the scale - so need to skidaddle and get moving.
Love and hugs from A to Z!
Suz -
Gina - loved the video/slide show - great job.
Suz -
Suz...well...don't forget to take a funny hat or something...I am the only one at my house that watches football...lol...pre season game on TV, evena t my house on Friday...can't wait...i'll be thinking that you & Jack are sitting next to me...whoo hoo... have fun...
Nicki...glad you decided against the new job
oops boss is here...running -

Good Morning CG's
Well I slept in for the second day in a row. I think my body is making me catch up on lack of sleep and I'm grateful I have no appointments until next week to have to get up for! Mom is here and she get's Ava breakfast while I get my rest and catch up here.
G - What a beautiful video and great song to go with it.
Odalys - Terrible your sister has to go through that .. that's just BS that they couldn't squeeze here in. Hugs for her.
Deb - Just want to say that I'm in awe of you making it all the way to Pinkstock and can't wait to read your poem and essay about it. Oh, and saying a prayer for you for an uneventful flight!
Nicki - LOL at who your hero was in the interview. I might have said Jack Bauer! But regarding football you are mistaken my dear. The first exhibition game was played and won by my beloved Steelers last Sunday against the Saints .. 20 - 7. I can't believe it's this time of year..getting pumped! mmmm breakfast was yummy!
BMD - I hope your PC doesn't have a virus. I use Ad Aware to check for those and clean out unwanted stuff. Do you have Pop up blocker? Google has it free if you download their toolbar. But if your PC is shutting on and off something else is going on too. Maybe the power supply needs replaced? I had the same problem and finally took it in to the experts. Waiting to get it back and find out what was wrong with it.
Madison - So nice to see you pop in and say hello!
Cheri - It was fun playing with you on IM last night .. wish I could have stayed longer. How is the shin this morning?
Vickie - If you need any assistance on the Pinkstock website let me know. Karl is a web developer and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to help. Poor Nate .. one of the crappiest things about this nasty disease is the fear it puts in our children. Hugs for him.
Liz - I'm sorry to hear about your friend passing. Wow, she fought a long battle and was dx'd so young. Bless her. I hope you're feeling better today.
Guz - Thank you. Thinking of you at your appointment today.
Melody - Such a pretty name.
Jankay - Happy you're feeling good today girlfriend. Very funny joke today!
Shirley - So good to see you, we really miss you here. It's wonderful that you can be with your sister at this time. It will be hard when everyone leaves. I hope she's doing as well as can be.
Brenda - My goodness, 110 degree heat index! I hope you're staying home today! Are you close to the ocean? Can relate to what Mid-life brings .. love how it ended.
Margaret - What is an iron? Something you use for golfing I believe.
Suz - What a beautiful picture from a week ago. Is it real? How exciting about the football game! You'll have a blast. Same thing about my Steelers .. can't get season tickets for years if you wanted them. I was lucky to be given tickets a few years ago and saw them play Cleveland at Heinz Field. It was awesome!
Jaz - Where are you?
Marsha - Thinking of you sweetie.
Pam - It was nice chatting with you last evening. I'm hoping you got a good night's rest.
I decided a lot of us are just too darn hot. Sending an ice angel to cool things down.
Hoping everyone has a wonderful day today!
Hugs and Love,
Charlene -

this is my life.......... -
MOrning all
Well i didnt get out yesterday.Karen took my van to wally world to have the oil changed and before she was out of the parking lot the check engine light came on and it started making a terrible noise. It was the belt tightner thinge didnt even know there is such a thing. So all I have to drive today is my baby camaro and i cant get 2 car seats in that.So i am stuck here for awhile.Supposed to be done today.
Thanks for the kudos on going back to school.I have been wanting to for years now.And when the Doctor i was case manager for made me an offer i couldt refuse then I really wanted to go.Then i got sick and was to sick to even care. But now I really want to again.Might as well while I am at home and can get it paid for.Never got anything free in my life before.I missed the deadline for getting all the paper work in so wont start until jan.I am going to try and take 4 courses each semester and try to knock em out quick.
I cant wait to go to NP school.I am so excited. In a way I would like to be an onc NP,but guess I will go for the FNP that way i will have my own office, and the doc said i could hire my kids to work in the office.so who could ask for more and he offered me more money than i knew anyone could make.So I got a feeling everything is gonna be ok here it is just going to take awhile.I have lived in it this long and as long as I can see a finite end point I am happy.
Nicki:NP are just now coming into being here, the doc i am going to work under has 2 set up in offices already and they both love it.
That was indeed a strange interview.Being in management you and I both know those were inapproiate questions. You could sue him for that. But it would be your word against his.I thought once about taking a recorder with me if i ever went on another one.
Susan:I sent you a pm did you get it? I sure do miss talking to you, give me a call when you get a chance. You look great.
JanKay: great talking to you.
Gotta go for now.The laundry calls. -
Good morning circle girls. Just taking a quick break from the pile of work still waiting to be done.
Vicki - hope your trip to FL is after Sept. 22 - I will be in Europe until then. My son was 19 when I was dx and for ages, he blamed himself for my illness - because he had put me through a lot of stress in the 2 years before that. It took a lot of talking to get him to realize that bc wasn't his fault! That was a tough time for me, so I know how sad it makes you when your kids are upset.
Shirley - looking forward to hearing from you. Thoughts and prayers have been with you and your family since I heard about your nephew. If you don't still have my number, just email me yours and I will call you. Would love to perhaps be able to get together with you for a day this time around. LindseyFL would like to meet you too. I'll be home until Aug. 30 - then I leave for the UK - and will return on Sept. 22.
Bre from the chat room is coming down to FL too on around Aug 13. Hope to meet up with her too. She'd like to go to Seaworld.
DebC- have a safe and uneventful flight. Don't drink too much to calm the nerves- it will only leave you with a nasty headache LOL
Ok back to work - hugs and chocolate xxx for each and every one of you.
Elaine -
hmmm...it's looking like October is the best time for my trip to Florida if I want to meet up with all my southern sisters! So...October it is. I will just have to figure out when and I will let ya all know. We will either stay near Clearwater or Cocoa Beach (wherever the accomodations are the cheapest and I absolutely have to stay on the beach LOL) We will be going to Disney World too. Its been suggested that I do one of the timeshare thingys and get a "free" vacation...has anyone done that?
Hi Shokk..thats my life too! Miss ya!
Hey to Angel, Robin, Nicki (good morning sunshine sister), Lisa...everyone from A to Z.
back to work...
Love ya all
Vickie -
xoxoxoxoxo All My Love, Puppy -
Good morning everyone. So far I'm running a big zero on the job offers. Got another one to look at today.
Puppy, so good to see you. Hope you are feeling good.
Robin, going back to school. That's just great. You will feel so proud of yourself.
Deb, I'm a nervous flier also. Prayers and hugs.
Suz thanks for the picture of Buffy. Your daughter was very good with Buffy and very pretty also. I actually think Buffy had as much fun at Pinkstock as I did. She had that smile on her face all the time.
Brenda, thanks for the getting old jokes. I could so relate.
Angel, sloppy seconds with Cheri??? hmmm....there must be more to the story.
Vickie when are you going to florida. I'll go too. We'll do Pinkstock part 2. -
I'd be in for Fla..but must do it over a school break..?...how about Easter..Spring break.?...either way thinking of going, My parents are there from Jan to Mar and would love to take the grands to the Princess castle...hugs really must work even tho I'd rather be here....no street corners in my area...MB
-
Good morning/afternoon ladies,
Happy Thursday to all. Hang on, the weekend is coming.
Margaret - the gets to me occassionally, but all I do is think
about the snow/cold winters I left behind in Minnesota.
To all you pinkstockers who posted pics - I spent some time
on the other thread, and they were fantastic to look at.
I would love to come next year.
I am off to work on my resume. Time to start that "fun" process of job hunting.
Have a great day!!!
Melody -
MB - my oldest went to a game a few years ago and got a cheesehead - so we are prepared. Sounds like fun at your house. Miss the hill.
BBL - got to get to work.
Hugs,
Suz -
Elaine, Seaworld sounds like a blast. Does Bre know how flipping hot it is here? I haven't been here in the summer time in over ten years. I'M MELTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm here till the 24th so we'll figure something out. Definately have to make some table dancing time with Marsha.
-
Just got off the phone trying to straighten out the NC Dept. of Revenue- Sales Tax People. Got a letter I owed them $250 in fines and penalities for being late with May payment - NOT !!!!!!!! On top of that we got this letter our sales tax rate changed July 1st, also on the form we send in with our sales tax. While I was waiting and listening to their messages - a message said the sales tax rated did NOT change. WTH??? I ask and no, the legislature didn't get their part done to make it law. How stupid to put our forms and send letters and ---------. We didn't get a letter saying it hadn't changed - UGH!!!!
Anyway, frustrated and hot here so I got a joke about Senior Citizens and Wal-Mart so thought I would post below.
Hope you enjoy. Love to all. Hope your day is going well.
Brenda
After Mr. and Mrs. Fenton retired, Mrs. Fenton insisted her husband accompany her on her trips to Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, Mr. Fenton was like most men -- he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunately, Mrs. Fenton was like most women -- she loved to browse.
One day Mrs. Fenton received the following letter from her local Wal-Mart.
Dear Mrs. Fenton,
Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and may be forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Fenton are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.
1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's carts when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5 minute intervals.
3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, "Code 3 in Housewares - get on it right away."
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M's on layaway.
6. September 14: Moved a "CAUTION - WET FLOOR" sign to a carpeted area.
7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.
8. September 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?"
9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the "Mission Impossible" theme.
12. December 6: In the auto department, he practiced his "Madonna look" by using different sizes of funnels.
13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled "PICK ME! PICK ME!"
14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed "OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!"
And last, but not least,
15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited a while, then yelled very loudly, "Hey! There's no toilet paper in here!"
Regards,
Wal-Mart -

I'll never tell, I'm Not that kind of girl!! I'm an Angel you know. Cheri on the other hand.... -

WHEN GIRLS DRINK TOO MUCH... .........
1. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE OUR PURSE IS. (or our Blackberry...cell phone...crochet hook)
2. WE BELIEVE THAT DANCING WITH OUR ARMS OVERHEAD AND
WIGGLING OUR BUTT WHILE YELLING 'WOO-HOO!' IS TRULY
THE SEXIEST DANCE MOVE AROUND.
(heehee...dancing on the bridge! And we ARE the sexiest dancers around)
3. WE'VE SUDDENLY DECIDED THAT WE WANT TO KICK
SOMEONE'S ASS AND HONESTLY BELIEVE WE COULD DO IT TOO.
(Not someone but something...cancer...)
4. IN OUR LAST TRIP TO PEE, WE REALIZE THAT WE NOW
LOOK MORE LIKE A HOMELESS HOOKER THAN THE GODDESS WE
WERE JUST FOUR HOURS AGO
(naw...we were Glenda Goddesses all the way!)
5. WE START CRYING AND TELLING EVERYONE WE SEE THAT WE
LOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH.
(and we really do...even sober!!!)
6. WE GET EXTREMELY EXCITED AND JUMP UP AND DOWN EVERY
TIME A NEW SONG PLAYS BECAUSE 'OH MY GOD! I LOVE THIS
SONG!'
(heehee...ain't it the truth!)
7. WE'VE FOUND A DEEPER/SPIRITUAL SIDE TO THE GEEK
SITTING NEXT TO US.
(I forget who was sitting next to me LOL)
8. WE'VE SUDDENLY TAKEN UP SMOKING AND BECOME REALLY
GOOD AT IT.
(hmmm...who would this have been...I'll never tell)
9 . WE YELL AT THE BARTENDER, WHO WE BELIEVE CHEATED
US BY GIVING US JUST LEMONADE, BUT THAT'S JUST BECAUSE
WE CAN NO LONGER TASTE THE GIN.
(I don't even remember what I drank at the end..coulda been water for all I know)
10. WE THINK WE ARE IN BED, BUT OUR PILLOW FEELS
STRANGELY LIKE THE KITCHEN FLOOR (or the mop?)
(Hmmm...Liz in the condo?)
11. WE FAIL TO NOTICE THAT THE TOILET LID'S DOWN WHEN
WE SIT ON IT.
(and we have pictures of that sweet Deb LOL)
12. WE TAKE OUR SHOES OFF BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IT'S
THEIR FAULT THAT WE'RE HAVING PROBLEMS WALKING
STRAIGHT.
(and some are still there!) -
Hi Melody- Belated Welcome to the Circle!
Good luck with your resume and job hunt. You will get lots of support from the circle sisters here. -
Hey You Guy's, Puppy is not as dumb as she thought she was
"She Has A Smart Son" and I think I think I'm smarter than I think I am... I think. LOL
Hi Ladies and Gent, this is Rocky, finally home to see my Momma... We set her up with a pic and a signature. I want to take just a line to properly thank all of you for your prayers, thoughts, and concerns. The belief that this world has souls who care about others unconditionally, warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes. It is you all who bring hope to this world, and all I can say is Thank You !!! and please keep the faith. I continually pray for all of you; and with faith, hope, and perseverance, the wagon wheel cannot fail. To those who bring negativity on here... Shame! Shame! Shame! I hope it makes you feel better about yourself, cause I doubt anyone is really listening. Don't forget that God, regardless of your faith, controls that pot of gold under the rainbow, and I pray that when your day comes... it's still there.
Again, from my heart... THANK YOU ALL!!
Rocky -
Hi everybody!! Count down to vacation 5 hours!! I sent out the Pinkstock dedication gift copy to all who sent me their addy - only one came back, Doreen, so I sent it out again today. I hope for those who requested have received them by now. It was such an honor for me to write.

Just wanted to pop in and say Howdy to my sisters! Luv ya all mucho! Gigante hugs to you all today. -
Hola!! Karol - Bienvenido and Howdy!! Welcome, the CG's are truly a wonderful bunch and I hope you find what you need here.
-
Hi Rocky,
Doggone you anyway, do you know how much your Mother worries about you! Anyway, now that I got that out of my system, I'm glad to meet you and glad you are at home to spend some time with MOM!. Please give her a hug for me, ok? And give yourself a hug too. Hope things are going well.
