Whew glad that is done, been shampooing carpets. Did the worst areas of the house (dining room, living room) and gave up, out of energy. Can't see the rest of the house carpet as easily as what I got cleaned anyway. (Excuses Excuses Excuses) Been wanting to do this for months but just didn't have the time or energy. Black clay dirt is hell on carpets!
Got a email that a biker friend who's a lady hit a dog this morning and went down with her Harley. So far all we know is a broken knee. She just got over a broken hip from falling on ice this past winter! -
That's why I said if..hehe..I knew it's hard for a mother to see
-
Nicki, you would not be able to fly standby for sure - I can only bring a carryon bag - no matter how long I am going for - unless I ship it in advance - you just never know if you get on a flight or not, although we plan our trips pretty well. The one that we have to buy tickets for is Las Vegas - almost impossible to get there or back flying standby.
Marsha, I still don't understand your surgeon - I had no problem with the doctors agreeing to remove the good one too.
Marisa, that cat pic is right up there with Marsha's dog.
Jankay, loved it.
Ok, back to work - it's almost lunchtime.

Hello sisters, well it seems our traveling to pinkstock sisters are getting there safely and soundly and the good time has started.
In honor of pinkstock 2007, I wrote a dedication piece that is to be read to all the attending sister CG's. I also prepared a gift copy for each sister to have their own copy to hang on the refrigerator or where ever they chose.
For those of us who could not attend, I include the dedication in this post and if you would like the gift copy, just pm your addy and I will be sure to get it to you.
Peter: Glad to see you popping in. The dedication includes you too.
I want you all to know how special you are and how much you mean to me.
On This Auspicious Occasion of Pinkstock 2007
I dedicate this to you,Time to Circle the Wagons Girls
At a time when things were low and treatment was over and I was feeling alone I found this Circle.
What brought me here, I soon found out, was that this Circle was full of women who were here for the same reasons I was and they accepted me sight unseen into their lives and into their hearts.
The thing we have in common is that we are all Warriors. We have tall, short, newbies, ole pros, fluffy, thin, mastectomies, lumpectomies, under-going-reconstruction, chemo brained, and hormone depleted Warriors who walk upon the field of life everyday and Fight On!
We battle for our lives; some win, some have lost and some still are in the midst of the fight, never are they alone
We Circle the Wagons.
There are some out there who dont understand that we have a Mazer and a magic carpet that we hold hands across the miles and peer into treatment room across the country to support our sisters.
There are some who call us a cult maybe if cult means: Caring, United, Loving/Laughing, Together.
The things we share are not all about cancer who could stand that? We share our lives! The good and the bad; deaths of loved ones, the births of grandchildren, our pets, our functional and dysfunctional families. Nothing is off limits, so for those who criticize THINK! Instead of being critical of our Circle take a good look see the real lives that are exposed here maybe there is something you need to share.
It is guaranteed that you will feel the most powerful sensation of caring, concern and warmth. We do not judge. We are honest to a fault sometimes, some feelings may get misunderstood, sure enough BUT THAT IS HOW FAMILIES OPERATE and we go right back to loving and supporting, actually, we never stop.
This Circle allows you to come and go as you please but if you are gone too long, we will come looking for you. Who needs to be found more than a sister who is having it rough and needs to be tugged back in, put in the middle of the Circle and protected and cared for?
Ive been in the middle a lot and I was safe there. I could feel the warmth. I could see the other wagons. I could hear and see the sights and sounds of all the Circle activity. Its real yall!
Need the drink wagon; the pity party wagon, warm food, hot chocolate, Loveghans, you can find it in the Circle! Hugs that are gentle, good advice and good ole fashioned wisdom, its here in the Circle!
Ive come to cherish each and every one of my sisters in Time to Circle the Wagons Girls! My life had changed forever because of cancer - I was afraid all the time.
When I found the Circle my life changed forever again, youve given me hope and Im not afraid so much.
So, on behalf of all the sisters and myself who found the Circle like I did
TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS WE HAVE LIVES TO CHANGE! -

DH car is fixed. $700.00 dollars later. Breaks needed everything. We went to Midas, ya know the Midas touch. Sometimes I think they just try to rip off people. They tried to scare my husband telling him the tires are bald. That woul dhave cost another 200.00 - we looked at the tires when he got home. They look just fine! Guess everyone is in it for a buck.
Then, some of you know and some of you who are knew may not know. My older sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 months after me. She had a bil. mast, reconstruction, and removal of her ovaries just like I did. Her cancer was fed my estrogren. Mine wasnt. Hers was caught early, mine wasnt. So she didnt need chemo. We have the same doctors. Surgeon, onc, PCP, and PS. So she sees our onc and her white blood cells have been elevated (high normal). Out of the clear blue sky, now he wants to do a bone marrow biopsy on her. Needless to say, as a nurse first and foremost - we now have an apppointment together to see our onc. I wanna know exactly what is going through his mind.
Ok! Darn - phone call Ill be back.
Nicki -
Wild Jan - Sorry to hear about your friend. I hope the broken knee is all she has to endure...not that that's going to be so easy. I'm afraid to ask .. how did the dog fare?

Well I tried!!!
-
Well, I went driving around the countryside around here and found a covered bridge...took a picture..but no, I repeat no Clint Eastwood..what is that all about???
-
Our biker friend had surgery this afternoon and will need another one so is still in the hospital. Not sure yet what was done except for a stint put in and why so quickly...waiting on hubby to get home and tell me what is all up since he went to the hosptal after work. Don't know if the dog survived or not.
Niki I hope your sister is okay, how weird everything seemed to be the opposite of each other with breast cancer except for the docs all being the same.
Wild/Jan -
Evening All
I'm way behind, but feeling like spending some time catching up so here I go (sorry in advance for the timewarp!)
shokk - Your advice to Peter cracked me up "put your head down and cover your private parts" LOL You are too funny! Thanks for always managing to cheer me up, whether on purpose with a kind word to me, or just because you're funny!
Sue - how did the Spiderman cake turn out? I hope your son just loved it!
Margaret - So, how is the whole exercise thing going? I keep looking at my thighs and thinking, I should really exercise once in a while, but that's about it!
Denise - How fun that you got to meet Deb, and everyone else too! I was thinking about Kay the other day - how is she doing? Thanks so much for the hug, I really needed it. Warren is loving his time with his grandma. He sounds so grown up when I talk to him on the phone!
Vickie - I think you're already on your way to Pinkstock - hope it's going well!
tgirl - It's nice to see you! How have you been keeping yourself?
Karen in Denver - hope the wedding was great and that you are feeling more yourself
Cheri - what is the news on Amber? And how did it go for you today? I'm hoping there's an update a little further along... (which would actually be BEFORE this cause I'm behind! LOL)
Jan - Hope you're relaxed and on your way to Pinkstock!
Marsha - WTH with the surgeon? If it was his sister would he refuse the surgery? Try asking him that!!
Emelee - Your pictures are so cute!
Nicki - glad to hear you've been getting into the water so much! And thanks for my youtube link - that was just so sweet of you! You really are such a big part of these boards for me Nicki, you bring a smile to my face every morning.
Brenda - I can eat about 3 pounds of protein and still be hungry for bread, crackers, chips and sweets. At one point in my life I tried to cut down on carbs (cause I basically live on bagels and pasta, which I realize is not healthy!) Well, I found myself crazily craving candy, cookies, ice cream, etc., which I ate to my heart's content. I didn't know that sugar/sweets are also carbs! (Pathetic I know!) Hope the grandsons are having fun, but not too crazy!
Robin - good to see you, glad to hear you are getting out and feeling better!
Angel Baby (Charlene) - Sorry to hear about all the medical stuff - I hope everything turns out A-OK for you. How's the family? Any pops left? LOL
Mizsissy - You're too good, (and clever!)
jankay - ha ha!
Odalys - What spanish lessons? Were they here? I would play!
SoCal - Sounds like Cooperstown was great fun! I'm hanging in there, thanks for asking!
Shirley - Glad to hear you've managed to avoid huting camp so far. What strength your sister and your whole family is showing.
Puppy - How are you doing? Glad to hear you've gotten some special goodies, you deserve them!
Amy - Oh my! Such scandalous rumors about sweet little peanut!
Jan - Oh no, how is friend? And I'm scared to ask, but what about the dog?
Z - What a beautiful tribute, and to think you were able to write this when you've been having a bit of a hard time yourself at home. You do beautiful things with the english language sweet Zazette!
Nicki - thinking of you and your sister tonight
Amy (again!) - whoa! awesome picture!!
Peter - So nice to see you! And I love the pink sparkles -
Denise - butt crack of dawn! LOL
-
I just had a huge long post and POOF,it's gone. I thought these new boards were supposed to be better. Crap! I don't have time to post it all again. I love you all and can't wait to get to Pinkstock on Sat.
-
Hubby is home, Sherri's knee is messed up pretty bad thus the surgery. He was able to see her in her room. Turns out there were two dogs that came at her from both sides of the bike, was pulling out of her driveway and about 4 ft from it when she hit one of them. Don't know anything about the dog yet.
She had a splint not a stint done today. It's a lot like the head Halo type but for a leg. It's her right knee. She may be in the hospital 2 - 4 days and then have to come back in a week to 2 weeks for the surgery to fix her knee from what Sherri said today.
Wild/Jan -
Okay, can you tell I'm having board withdrawls and I haven't even left yet!!
WildJan: So sorry about your friend, but am grateful that she will be alright.
Nicki: Sorry your Sister is having problems........very nice that you can go with her. I remember what I'm in charge of!
Charlene: How's the fam damily doing???? Will you get your self healed up already??!! Do hope you are feeling better.
Jan: You better get your butt off these boards and get packing!! Wishing you and hubby safe travels and I'll see you when you get there!
SoCal: What! You drive all that way and No Clint Eastwood!
Mizsissy: And try you did!!
Peter: Hey to you!
Amy: Is Mazer at Pinkstock?
Marsha: Hoping today is better for you!! Keep the par-tay going this weekend!
Cheri: How are you????
Colleen: Here's another Hug just to keep in your pocket for when you need it!{{{{{{{{{{Colleen}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Kay is doing okay.......she looks good and seems to be adjusting. Glad Warren is enjoying his time..........How about you? Enjoying or bored?!
Brenda, Iris, Betty, Robin, LisaE, Karen, Z, KRISTEN, Mena and oh boy..........I'm missing to many!
See you all when we check in from PinkStock!!!!
Hugs,
Denise -
Nicki I hope your sister's ok...your in my thoughts.
I'm sorry about your friend WildJan..I hope she heals soon
Angel..you didn't answer if those are you pets or not...don't be embarrassed - we treat pet hoarders here..hehe
Amy..Peanut IS an angel. She's adorable! Let's hope her mate was not a mastiff or great dane or something
Well, my mom's cat I was talking about - the hussy calico that is Madeline but we call Madittude pummeled me in the face today when we were playing...geez it was quite funny! -
I'm going to try to post my pics from wedding and honeymoon to see if it works...hold on
Nope..didn't work...oh well! -
Whew what a day!!!! We were really busy at lunch and I had to leave for a dental appointment in the middle of it. I hadn't had a cleaning in quite a while with all the medical stuff going on and this was one of those that they have a cancellation and give you a call. Got there and find out they are tearing down the building my dentist is housed in and he is 62 and will probably just retire. If you hate going to dentist and finding one that will deal with all your grimaces and fears, then you will understand I am upset. I am to darn old to have to train a new dentist to just deal with me and make me RELAX while I am in that chair.
I'm working on next weeks schedule and my eyes are drooping so if this doesn't make lots of sense, well number one it is just me and number two is its late and my rear end is dragging the floor.
Amy, Peanuts is to cute to be a loose woman. Can't wait to see pictures of the pups. Is this weekend when you are traveling to Georgia to the water park??? If so enjoy. Thanks for sharing the picture with us.
Z, if I don't forget I'll PM you my address. Well said and beautiful.
WildJan, hope your friend does OK with the knee fracture. Knee fractures can be difficult to heal depending on where the fracture is located.
Nicki, glad that you are going with your sis to her doctor visit. Nothing like a bone marrow biopsy to scare you - why not a scan first? I know you will ask that same question. Your sister and I both have ER+, caught early (amazes me that Stage II, Grade II is EARLY) and I know I would be flipping out if they told me they wanted to do a bone marrow biopsy. Glad you are down to one job. You are are only one person, can only work so much. I know we all worry about the money and bills from our treatments, etc. It just gets overwhelming sometimes.
I think you mentioned national healthcare the other day. I am not sure it will ever pass - the darn insurance companies are to big and to organized and have lots of money to spend on buying votes to get things changed to much. They have awesome power and it walks the halls of our Senate and Congress.
Angel, Marsha, Puppy, - how you girls doing today???
Colleen, the boys have been unusually wound up the past two evenings. They are at the age it is constantly having to touch - tickle, wrestle, hit, pillow fights, on and on. WHEW!!!!!!!! Deep breath when they went home. I didn't make it to good on my diet again today - I'm gonna keep trying and maybe one day, I'll get it right. I do good for awhile and then I just cave. Mostly around 3-4 or 8-9 is my worst times.
Some friends ask us to go to a big crafts show tomorrow. Now I haven't gone to a craft show in years. We really enjoy being with these friends and so we said yes. I think I must have been nuts. It is 95 here and the humidity is way up to. Today my thermostat has been on "over heated" all day. I'm not sure my hubby realizes what he has agreed to do - this might get real interesting.
I'm hoping I sleep better tonight. Was tired and sleepy, got in the bed and toss and turned until 1 am. Got up, went to another bed, tossed and turned for an hour there, so at 2 am got up, got my glasses and a book and read until 3:30 am. Finally was able to go to sleep. I so pray that tonight is better. I hate those nights but they seem to drop in fairly frequently since I lost my estrogen.
Cheri, was hoping to see something from you. Sending good thoughts your way.
Gina, did you get to meet Karen?? Give us the news from the PS.
Everyone, hope you rest well and have beautiful dreams. See you in the morning.
Hugs, Brenda -
