Here's a better pic of the trike...taken the day we brought it home
-
Very nice pictures Wild!
Denise-Be sure and give Deb and all the other Michigan girls big southern hugs from me. That is, if you get past the 5 gallon bucket on the snake. Better not use a gun though cause it doesnt sound like you are an experienced gun handler unless you are just pulling our legs.
Had my appointment friday with oncolgist and so far so good. Still on chemo break until we scan again in 6 weeks and hopefully then we see no progession. I had my herceptin and zometa and hit the road.
ok off to get some work done around here but I shall return.
Amy -
OMG! Amy I swear I was just going to post, "Has anyone heard from Amy?" How are you, hon?...been thinking of you...xo
-
Jan - nice trike. I have some friends who each have one. They are Gold Wings also. They ride around here and belong to a club I think.
Amy - wooohoooo! So glad all is still good.
Mena - I am so happy to see you posting. You have just made my day!
Back later. -
good afternoon,
worked nights all weekend (12 hr shifts) so have just been reading to catch up. OUCH!
oh girls, i work labour/delivery and full moon time is starting to take effect. please that be all this is.
Z, i hope things calm down at home, you are in my prayers.
NICKI, girlfriend, i feel i can call you that. you have always been there when i have made my sporadic appearances here. love ya. come back soon, but take time off if you need it. your life is full at the moment. hope the new job interview will be what you need so that you can settle down to one job.
Eachday, I hope you come back too. I always loved your posts.
Didn't look at the movie, wouldn't work for me. Gina, thank you for this thread, it has been a life saver for so many of us.
GOD BLESS ALL CIRCLE GIRLS AND PETER.
Denise, laughed at your snake story. I had garter snakes for pets as a kid. They are wonderful animals and will keep your bugs and vermin down and will not hurt you. They are one of our least noxious snakes (and they are NOT slimy, very silky smooth actually)! I say take the bucket off and let it go and then drive and meet Deb and others and laugh and love.
Wild/Jan, loved the pics. The joke in my family is that when i get to 65, my girls will dye my hair blue and buy me a harley with a side car (hubby gets the side car!)I've never driven a motor bike but that's ok. IT's a fun pic in my head.
Gotta go wake up and hope all is well with everyone.
God Bless. Hugs for all A to Z
Lynn -
Wild Jan -- loved the pictures. I'm a coward when it comes to motorcycles but that trike is the 'bee's knees'. I would love to have one of those!
-
Well, good gravy!!!!!! I'm baaaaaack and all I can think of is WTF!!!!!!!! What on earth is going on in our beloved circle????? I only had time to go back a few pages, and I can't believe what I am reading. Somebody PM me and give me the Cliff Notes version!
Well, we thoughly enjoyed our trip to Maine. What beautiful country!!! We stayed at a campground near Acadia National Park for 3 days, ate lobster (I wasn't thrilled), rode the bike around the island and partied the nights away around the campfire. Then we went upstate to the Baxter State Park area. OMG!!!! Too beautiful!!! We stayed there the rest of the week. We rode on a logging road and saw a real moose, in the wild. I got some pics. I was amazed at the lack of paved roads in the area. We rode down some dirt roads that about jarred my kidneys right outta my body, lol! We had a fantastic time. No wonder Amy likes Maine so much!
I see we have another biker in our midst!! Hello Wildabouthorses. Is your name Jan also??? The Twilight Zone theme is playing in my head
Cherikins!!!!! I'm back from the wild woods!! I hope everything goes okay on Thursday! I'll be thinking of you. Amber lost her job???? Oh no!
Nicki's not posting???? What is going on? And Z also? Shirley's not coming to Pinkstock? I have to try a find out what is going on here. BBL
Hugs to all! -
Here's a pic of the marine son on a borrowed bike...and his bike in the next picture but it was stolen and never recovered.
This is my son in law and grandaughter on their bike. He later sold it to his brother and bought a Goldwing. I wasn't happy to see her in flip flops and shorts while on a bike.
LOL yes I'm Jan a biker too!
Wild/Jan -
Wild/Jan, too funny! I'm also wild about horses. We are Harley people.
-
Cool, do you by chance have horses too? I have 3 a Saddlebred pinto, thoroughbred and a mini horse (paint or pinto) Had a quarter horse but traded her for the mini horse for my grandaughter to enjoy.
Am looking forward to seeing your pics from your bike trip! -
Hey Jan,
Welcome back. Maine is awesome isnt it? Cant wait to see the pics. What happens in Maine, stays in Maine,,huh?
Mena, yep I'm here. Glad to see you posting away. Kinda felt like I was stalking you there for a bit cause I was right behind you on several post. I usually stalk biker Jan though so it confused me,,lol. Doesnt take much.
Amy -
Ha!! I'm stalking you today, Amy!!!!
Wild/Jan, I had a thorobred years ago, but no horses now. I worked at a large show stable in PA, back in the 70's. With kids and all, no time for horses. Now we ride the iron horse, lol! -
Yea Jan (1) is back......see what happens when you leave?????
-
Shirley,
Just posted the nighties over in another thread

Thought you might be interested.
Also folks, I've talked to Puppy today and she sounds really good. Her memory is a little foggy but it is coming back. She's getting a lot of calls, and she said she thinks she needs to rest, but she sends her love to all of you.
She feels that a miracle has happened, and she believes it is because of us, our prayers and our love, that she is now alive...I believe in miracles too!!!
xxxxooo Mizsissy -
Wild, glad you posted pictures and got us off page 666!!
I'm not a biker but I can appreciate a beauty when I see it.
Amy, glad to hear that your oncology visit was OK and you haven't gotten any feedback that would indicate otherwise. Hope you are having better days - hugs to you.
Benadryl helped my red blotches. PC said don't take anymore and take Benadryl. Vitamin company said they didn't think it was anything in the supplement. OK, guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
Marsha, Angel, Puppy, hope today has been better for all of you.
OK, need to figure out what's for dinner. We ran out of green pepper and Parm. cheese (we do a mix of herbs and cheese for our seasoning for the subs )and needed sugar. I made a trip to Wally World - (sugar I can buy there cheaper than I can order from a food supplier) - that place was an absolute zoo - on a Monday at 2 pm. I was so glad to get out of there. Doesn't anyone work anymore or shop on weekends for groceries???
Denise, can't wait to see if a broom moved the bucket or if the car crushed the bucket - hehe.
Check back later. Brenda -
Yeah Shokk, I'm back! I cannot believe how you all act up when I'm gone for a little bit. Now I know how my mother felt, LOL!
Brenda, Wally World is a nightmare ANY time of day. LOL! -
Jan (1),
Did you know that we cyber-partied at your house while you were in Maine? -
<points at Shokk and says 'it was her fault..she did it' >
-
Geesh Gus if she hasnt noticed by now maybe she wont. I'm thinking if she didnt notice somebody came in after we left and cleaned up.
Amy -
First of all I swear I was not there.......honest.......no really........second of all we all know it wasn't me that cleaned up......maybe my girls stopped by........Jan if anything is missing they didn't steal it they just thru it away.......
-
What a weekend it was. Glad to see that things are calming down here and getting back to normal (whatever that is!!!).
Just got back from the PS. The nurse was also there, but I mostly dealt with him. No more said after our phone conversation last night. I see him again in 3 weeks. Can drive, but need to wear the bra 24/7, no lifting greater than 10# etc, etc. So far the two implants are symmetrical. Lets hope they stay that way!!!
WildJan - what a handsome family - loved all the pics. Hope your Marine son is up and about soon and things work out with the Marines how he wants them to.
BikerJan - welcome home. glad you had a good trip.
Amy - happy to hear all went well with onc visit - enjoy the chemo break.
Denise and Deb - have fun meeting each other.
Suz - your DD is leaving for college just about the time my DD is coming home for her summer break after summer school. Have a safe trip to PInkstock.
Cheri - will be with you on thursday at the ortho. Mork and MIndy are 50# - wow they are bigger than my dogs!! I sure hope you find the loving home that you want for them
NS - I so agree - the only rule is to be kind to each other - we all so much need each others kindness - atleast I know I do and it sure makes my day better.
Denise - I showed my DH the pic of the snake in your garage and he couldn't believe it. You are braver than me!!!!
Deb - hows the head - atleast you had a fun time.
Shirely - hope the camping trip is good for everyone
Betty - sorry to hear that you did not get any resolution with the job problems. good luck with the job hunt.
Nicki - if you are still here, how did the job interview go today?
Bluedahlia - you and your DD are just gorgeous
Tricia - thanks for you hugs
Funny story - I went to the tailor this morning while I still had the surgical bra on to see if she could take in my dress - and the tailor told me that she really liked my bra that it is good for the back. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I just had surgery last week!!!
I have decided that I am depressed and I need to do something about it. So I still have my Effexor. When I took it in the fall, I did not like the way it made me feel. So I am going to try 1/2 pill and see what happens (37.5mg). This past week just sent me over the edge. I think DH and I are going to go to the wedding like planned (yesterday I was thinking about not going) and enjoy our little get a way without kids together. Now lets hope I have some mojo!!! Got to go tend to Miriam. She had a tooth pulled this morning and is hungry. got her a frosty earlier and when DH comes back I am going to go take her to DQ - not ready to drive my big suburban yet. Also, have to get her packed. She has a 7 am flight to Chicago tomorrow morning to visit her sister.
Sending hugs from Amy to Z for feel good days. Wishing everyone who is going to Pinkstock safe travels. Karen in denver -
Ooops! I started drinking my wine early tonight, and I just can't shut myself up...
It's been a loooooong, rainy day with the kiddos...I need to go pour another glass! -
I MISS NICKI
PLEASE COME BACK TO THE CIRCLE. WE NEED OUR NUTTY NURSE TO HELP SOOTHE OUR FEARS, MAKE US LAUGH AND SHARE THE GOOD AND BAD TIMES WITH.
THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR US TO BEAR.
I PUT DISTORTED HUMOR BACK IN THE FILM. I NEVER CONSIDERED HIM YOUR "LEGACY" AS YOU WROTE- BECAUSE I SEE YOUR LEGACY AS THE 100S UPON 100S OF WOMEN'S LIVES YOU HAVE TOUCHED WITH YOUR WISE COUNSEL, GOOD ADVICE, AND A FIRM KICK IN THE PANTS WHEN WE NEED IT. YOU ARE MORE THAT A HORSE! YOU ARE THE CIRCLE.
YOU SIMPLY MUST COME BACK. GET RID OF THAT NAME YOU CHANGED TO.
THERE IS NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE- YOU ARE TOO LOVED HERE. AND I NEED YOU. I CAN'T GO THROUGH THE REST OF MY TREATMENTS WITHOUT YOUR HELP.
COME BACK.
I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON AND IF YOU THINK I AM GOING TO START MAKING THE COFFEE AT THE BUTTCRACK OF DAWN YOU ARE NUTS.
I LOVE YOU.
G -

-
I don't post often anymore, but I had an emotional day today.
A 35 year old lady from my church was diagnosed 4 to 6 weeks ago with IBC. She is already stage 4 with mets to the spine and lungs. She has two children, ages 17 months and 7 years.
My heart is hurting so for her, she had 2 chemo treatment's and her onc has stopped the chemo, said he doesn't want to beat up her body anymore then it is.
I spent the day with her, she was hardly able to get out of bed. I cleaned her kitchen, did her laundry and watched the children, she was so grateful.
YES, arguing is so "petty" when so many are fighting for their lives. I love all of you my sister's....even the ones who are difficult sometimes.
Doris -
Ok now Nicki I have tried to pm you twice today and I am getting a messeage that your box is full.......let me just say this.......I could be selfish and say that we need you here but it is so much more than that.....we "WANT" you here and we want you to want us.......we love you.....if you need to take a break that's fine but you have to promise that you will come back........love you........
-
Mizsissy - checked out that link - wow you are really talented - would love to check out the website when it is up.
Silka - how awful for that poor woman - I will add her to my prayers.
Welcome back Jan.
Wild/Jan - nice trike pics.
Oh dear - time flies - time to pic up dd.
Suz -
Nicki is okay - she's taking a break and assures me she will be back.
