Okay, I’m back and am starting on page 642.

Anne – sorry about the computer. I hope you enjoyed Miles sermon today. Good to see you.

Peter – hope you had a good nights rest and are ready for a new day. I know I wouldn’t be able to do a sleep study. I had a friend who did it and every time she about got to sleep she’d have to go potty.

Nicki – I’m glad you got to swim today. I know how much you enjoy it. I haven’t been walking for such a long time. It is so hot/humid here. I hate winter but this heat is about to do me in.

Jankay – how are you feeling? I hope things are better for you today.

Jasmine – hopefully the allergies are better. This weather is causing havoc with mine. Hope you feel better.

Charlene – it’s so good to see you here. I’m glad you got to go to the tournament. You need to remember to take it easy and rest in order to heal.

Vickie – I love Eeyore also. I’m so glad to know Nate is good now. Poor little guy. He’s had a rough week as have you.

I see Odalys had McDonalds breakfast and Colleen is having a day with friends at the pool.

    DebC – welcome home.

Madison – every time I read that you’re on the Blackberry I see your smiling face the day we were at the restaurant and you found the bco website. Did you change your flight? Hope you had a great time with DD’s visit and her birthday.

Shirley – I guess I need a myspace account also. Hmmmm I think I might have one. I’ll have to check it out. I know I have one on Facebook. Yes, you’d think as long as this stupid bathroom is taking it would be huge. Unfortunately, it’s not. This is a very old house and nothing is square etc.

Cheri – don’t you hate when someone wakes you up to either see if you’re sleeping okay or what your DH did? Hopefully, you got enough rest and had a great day. Hopefully you can find a home for Mork & Mindy together. They are just so cute but I understand why you need to find them a new home.

Puppy – always in my prayers. Good to see you.

Karen – I know it’s tough going today and will be until you heal. You will make the right decision for you. We’re here for you.

Marsha – hope you had a good visit with your friend.

Sue – congrats to your son and you. That is really cool.

Mandy – I used to get all upset when my DH would clean the house or do dishes etc. It doesn’t bother me in the least nowadays. LOL Yes, it’s easy to become a boardaholic.

Denise – I about spit my water on the screen when I read your DH’s note. He’s giving it a shot which I have to say Good for him. Mine is lucky to use the toaster. So is this going to be bread?

Brenda – it’s so good to see you. Pop in occasionally and let us know how you are doing.

Margaret – I think belonging to a cooking club would be fun. I’m sure DH will love your
    Thai noodles.

Mena – hope you’re doing well. You are missed.

    Gina – hugs my friend.

I’m sure I’ve missed many and it’s not intentional. May you all have a peaceful, restful and relaxing night.

    Hugs and Prayers

    Welcome new circle girls!

I wish I could write a personal note to everyone.

I have read through most of the posts, thinking and saying prayers for those especially needing them.

I am good, just busy! This working full time sure has cut into my play time. Yesterday, I had a headache all day, so today I got a lot done, including a trip to the gym. Jeff helps a lot, but you know how that goes, I will never trust him with the laundry. (Wonder if he put that red shirt in with good clothes on purpose. LOL)
I am still feeling really good.
Angel, your husband is a sweetie, and I am so glad you are doing well.

Holy Cow did everyone take a nap. Were still on the same page as when I left. BBQ was nice. Son had to go back to work. So home we came. Went and looked at the models at the golf course. O LA LA!! Way out of our reach but they were o so pretty. Can you imagine a 2600sqft house with only two bedrooms. Now thats what I call retirement living. And for the ever so reasonable price of $890,000. I think we should go back and write a check.

Thai noodles sound yummy Margaret, I'm coming for dinner.

Cheri, how do you send an invite?

Denise, I so wanna be a fly on the wall at your house. I think I would be entertained till eternity comes.

And a very pretty picture it is Boo

    Brenda, good to see you.

    Liz, whats Facebook?

here is an update from iamhere4u

go this tuesday for them to put whats called a wound vac on me. im not sure if ive already told you this so i will tell you again. i have to wear it 24/7 for 6weeks. it comes with a little box i guess that controls the pump. im praying that this works and that i wont have to wear it for 6 weeks. the hole is still about the size of a half dollar. its clean and free from infection. considering its been going on since march 15th im thankful for that. it needs to get fixed tho because its starting to really get irritated. i think from gauze being packed in it several times a day. im raw from all the tape to because im so allergic. anyway thats what is going on. how are you jankay? whats new with you? have you heard anymore from the dr's? write when you feel up to it......luv ya! </HTML>

    Evening all,

Shirley, have some Thai noodle salad for you. Wow, a 2600 sq. foot house with only 2 bedrooms? Hubby wants something on a golf course so that's where we are always looking. Those are Bay Area prices! Just realized hubby is online looking at homes now - wonder why when we need to work 5 more years before we retire.

Cheri, gotcha. Didn't realize it was 4th of July - was wondering why there would be fireworks now.

Shirley, Cheri, Liz, Jankay, Vickie, CY - checked you out on myspace. Looks interesting, for some reason I've never done it.

Walking around the perimeter to tuck everyone in and wake Peter up. Everyone rest well.

Margaret, mine is not allowed to retire. I would damage him greatly and end up in prison. And I do believe it was you who told me they do not have internet in prison.
Really going to bed now. Love you all to bits.

iamhere4u... my hubby used a wound vac for about 4 weeks and it really helped fill in his hole that was about the same size as yours circle wise. We saw tremendous leaps in using it. His was on his heel and it was nearly to the heel bone when he was sent to the wound doc. Pressure sore from laying in a splint waiting for surgery for a week after he was life flighted in.

Denise - I am very curious to find out what your husband was making and more importantly was it edible? Was it alive? Did you name it? ( ha ha) You are lucky, my hubby can't cook worth beans. When I suggest that he cook for a change - the kids always "no, please Mom we don't WANT Kraft Dinner!!"

Margaret- Unfortuantely I am WAY too good at making housework low on the priority list...the problem is that I have someone coming to stay in my house and look after my felines for 3 weeks...and that's a whole different level of cleaning when someone is sleeping in your bed, using your bathroom, eating out of your fridge, etc. So, I've got tomorrow to clean, chemo on Tuesday (after which I'll be temporarily useless) and we leave on Wednesday morning and still, I procrastinate!

Well, I too am turning out my oil lamp (or blowing out my candle - or whatever people used in wagon days) so I wish all of you a good night, a restful sleep and sweet dreams!

How's this for memory problems - I don't remember if I posted this morning or not!!!!! Spent this morning cleaning out my clothes closet and giving away clothes I no longer wear. Organized the closet as well getting stuff off the floor and putting it away. Good way to use my nervous energy.
Friends talked us into going out for dinner tonight. You know we just don't go out often enough. My friend said after seeing my face yesterday, that I needed a distraction for awhile tonight. Went to a brew pup and had a beer and fish and chips. Good time and forgot about the surgery till I got home. Its less than 8 hours away, and I am still not sure what I want to do. I will probably go ahead with the planned "fix" to the radiated implant and then down the road if I am still not happy have the implants taken out and be done with it. I will tell the PS what I have been thinking and how stressed I have been because of the nurse mentioning all the pain. while we were out the anesthesiologist called (we think) - it was about 15 minutes after we left. Miriam asked him to call my cell phone and he said no he would call back later and never did. Boy does that tick me off and I plan to say something when I meet him. I wanted a certain anesthesiologist who has done two of my surgeries but he is out of town. I really like this guy as he lets you sip water during the night till about 4 hours before surgery. so I will just follow his protocol and not say anything. I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 for 7:30 surgery. Miriam is going to come with us. she could stay home as Noah does not have to be at work till the afternoon, but I want her with me. Craig said he could come get her when I go to recovery but I don't want him to leave the hospital even though it is only 10 minutes from home. So we will all be getting up early. I think it will feel so good to get a hug from Miriam just before they take me to surgery. Both Miriam and Noah were with me before my bilat, but not the other surgeries. Leah has always been away at school for my surgeries, but was home for one of my chemos.
Boo/Sue - a hearty congrats to you and your son. What an honor to be accepted to the youth orchestra. What instrument does he play?
Cheri - sorry to hear that you have to find another home for Mork and Mindy. I hope you can find one home for the two of them and someone as wonderful as you are. How big are they now? I thought my Berners were big, but Mork and Mindy sound bigger.
Angel- glad to see you posting. A bball game the day after your expander surgery. Wow, you are one strong woman and wonderful mother. I keep telling Miriam not to plan on me for anything this week as I don't know how I will be feeling - also no driving for me. We will have to rely on play dates with friends or her just entertaining herself. Its hard as so many of her friends are in camp as parents work. I'm lucky to have part of the summer off.
Brenda - nice to see you post.
Thank you everyone for your well wishes tomorrow. Cheri please be careful with the magic carpet - we don't want anyone getting "car" sick. Craig will be the good looking guy with the adorable 9 year old with him. I think they will both be playing on the computer when I am in surgery. Is Mazer coming along? Miriam will have fun playing with him if he will let her. Please make sure he behaves!!! I am taking my teddy bear with me that has been at the previous couple surgeries as well as all my "good luck" charms that go everywhere with me (including the pins AlaskaDeb made) as well as wearing my pink bracelets. At the exchange surgery they let me wear my bracelet in surgery and take my bear. They would not let me wear my copper healing bracelt, but I will put it with the other special things in my bag.
Liz, Margaret, Vickie, Nicki, Peter, Cheri, Madison,Amy, Gina, Tricia, Tracey (oh where, oh where are you), Robin, Jankay, Puppy, Deb, Colleen, Christine, Sherly, SoCalLisa, Jan, Mandy, Shirely, MB, Z, Lynn, Denise, Shannon, odalys, Isis, Jeannie, Gus, Eachday, BikerJan (hope you are having a good trip), Betty, Robin, Beth, Catherine, Shokk, Susan, Sheri, Liz, Marsha, and all the other wonderful members of the CG - sending you hugs for sweet dreams and feel good days. Not sure when I will be able to post. Maybe I can try to explain to DH how to come here and let everyone know how the surgery went. I love you all. Hugs, Karen in denver

Jan (WAH) - It's very nice meeting you here, I'm sure you'll find the circle as warm and welcoming as I did.

Mandy!!! - I'm so glad you joined us! I had the same reservations as you did being so early in my journey but these girls and boy have helped me so much in getting through this. I believe we might have had surgery on the same date (March 29th). About six of us had it at the same time. I look forward to talking to you here! You have a great sense of humor! Yes, I was very proud of Audrey yesterday!

Susan - I love your new avatar too!

Iris - I'm ready for those moose tracks now!

Cheri - You make me laugh so much! I'm glad to be back here with you. I hope you don't Ever leave the Circle, it just wouldn't be the same. But if you do, you best stay in touch! "It's like a cocoon of love and understanding". Your words are right on. Are you driving to Karen's surgery tomorrow? After you pick me up please proceed on a gentler course. Me thinks you're right about Peter! lol

Shirley - The wedding party looks beautiful in the dresses you made. I Love the pick of the bride and groom by the sea .. how romantic! LOL re the party!

Shannon - "A Beautiful Mind" reference is very fitting.

Margaret - lots of laughs getting busted. Of course Karl busted me ... I knew he'd be back online to see I posted. I just didn't realize he was on right when I did it. Yep, he came up and said, "You are so busted!" lol

Jankay - I Love you too sweetie.

Nicki - I'm a big Stephen King fan myself .. have most of his books up to "Cell". I got about a third of the way through before my life got too busy (read Ava started walking) and haven't picked it up since. His earlier books definitely hold you more, you don't want to put those down!

Boo/Sue - I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. That stinks. We hear you girl. Not fair having to go through the dx and treatments and to top it off to feel so much older. I hope things get better for you soon. Congratulations to your son for landing the presigious Orchestra seat!

Lynn - You have my Audrey's middle name! I tend to use it when she's done something wrong ... Audrey LYNN! with the emphasis on Lynn! lol I'm taking it much easier now, thanks for your advice.

Marsha - that's a great idea about the new thread. I too was dx'd one day and two weeks later had my surgery. It was a very frightening time as it all happened so fast.

Denise - what a sweet thing to say to my Karl. That's MY Karl .. do I need to watch you? LOL I hope the family reunion wasn't too awful! So Did DH want something that night? And what Was it that he made with the onion/poppyseed??

Brenda - nice seing you here!

Sue/Gus - Many congratulations on you 3 year cancerversary! I hope you had a great dinner celebration!

Lisa - Love the pictures of the San Diego BCO group!

Cherryl, I missed the wholeHarry Potter craze. I think I'd enjoy the books, just haven't had a chance to read the books. Wow, what an event you had for it!

Pam - It's so good to hear from you!

Puppy - Big hugs to you and we'll all be with you on Thursday!

Peter - I think your boxing Kangaroo dude is going to get a rude awakening when he meets my ferocious tiger! lol

Odalys - thanks you for sending someone to clean up the feathers! Love the way you write btw.

Madison - I hope you're having a great time in Georgia!

Tricia - thank you for your kind words. I'm glad to hear you're feeling really good!

Goma - Alwus good to d
Gina - The above was supposed to say: Always good to see you post. ( wow, what these drugs do to you!)

Karen - I'll be with you along with all the others during your procedure on Monday. I'm sorry you're stressing so much about it but understand you've had a difficult time. Get lots of percocet and a muscle relaxer. How old is your Miriam? I'm sending positive vibes to you! I can't drive for 2 weeks and have a over 10 lb. lifting restriction for at least that ling.

Liz - I wil take it easy and get some rest. Take it easy yourself sweetie. You are awful busy!

    Jasmine - where are you?

Jan - hope Maine is very enjoyable! It sure is beautiful there!

Vickie - I don't blame you for yelling at me when I should have been home resting! I'm glad you're getting rid of that jerk. You're a gem.

EachDay - I Love your posts and thank you for the sweet words about Karl. He really Is a 10!

AlaskaDeb - mmmmmm fresh salmon and halibut! I want some!!!!

Good Morning Everyone: I cant believe it is time to go back to work again. Looking forward to another busy week.

I had a great day yesterday. The pool needed alot of work cause we havent been in it for 2 weeks. Was either to cold or raining. Anyways - call me crazy! The water temp was 68 degrees - now thats cold. But I thought hey - thats what the water temp at Lake Michigan would have been and if I was at the beach I would have been swimming. Had to take a towel and wipe the bottom of the pool using my foot. It did feel good swimming again.

Oh yes and I joined myspace. Although once I joined it, I still dont know what Im doing with it.

    www.myspace.chemosabinicki.com

Karen: What time is your surgery. Im ready for the magic carpet ride. Even brought some dramamine with me - ya know with Cheri driving, I always worry about motion sickness. I am bringing my magic wand with, so whatever decision you make will certainly be the right one.

Charlene: I laughed when you said Karl came into your room and said "you are so busted." My first reply back to him would have been, "well after this surgery I plan on it." I am so addicted to this board - just cant stay away. Sometimes I wake up, come read and then go back to bed. Glad our party in your bedroom didnt wake Karl up. Things did get outta hand when Cheri and Peter had that pillow fight.

MargaretB: I just love Thai food. The spicier the better. But - no cooking for me. Not very good at it.

Peter: We will make room on the magic carpet. Even let you sleep for a bit, since for you its gonna be bedtime. Ill read you a bedtime story if ya want.

Mandy: My husband does all the cooking and cleaning. Now that sounds delightful! but there is a big BUT. He cooks great, should be a chef - but his cleaning? Oh my - if someone was coming to stay at my house, I would have to take off a week - just to really clean!

Wow! I sure missed alot of posts yesterday - and it seemed like I was on and off all day.

SoCal: My story was a bit different. I had learned to drive in my dads powerless Falcon. It was automatic shift, but thats all. When I went for my test, my high school boyfriend took me and I took the test in his all power Bonneville. When the guy to me to park, I went right up the curb and hit another parked car.

Boo: South Beach is a great diet - that is if you dont cheat. I have been having a few cheating spells myself. For example I made the jello and cheesecake (sugarless) - but then had a big side serving of macaroni salad that I made for my husband. Geesh - the carbs in that had to hit the roof. Gonna go back on the 2 week thing this week just to get back to the basics.

Cheri: I love animals. Wish I could bring home more, but I think that would be the last strwa for my husband. As it is now, there are five of us that sleep in my bed at night. Including the big dog and 2 cats. Poor Mork and Mindy - but think of it this way. Look at all the attention they will get when they dont have other animals to compete with. I joined myspace yesterday. My husband freaked out when I got the confirmation email. He quick ran a virus scan! I dont usually wander out onto the internet.

Mandy: So I was wondering. If the mountains are 4 hours away, can you see them in the distance?

Sherloc: Hope you had fun at that BBQ.

Denise: Inquiring minds want to know. What did your husband make.

Sheri: Good to see you pop in.

Brenda: I was so glad to see a post from you. Have missed you lots and think of you often. Working full time really stinks doesnt it? Really cuts into my computer time.

    image

Liz: I do not, repeat - do not walk in humidity. I would end up in the ER with chest pain or something. This past week the temps have been pleasant. Maybe even a little too cool.

Puppy: As always good to see you posting.

Tricia: Good to see you too. Ah yes - working takes away all of our fun time.

Sherloc: Ya see, I have always felt my DH was retired. Doesnt mean I dont want to kill him on my days off.

NS: I agree with what Cheri said. We miss you posting around here. Actually sometimes I feel like Im in culture shock. Hoping all is well. Another week down and Im hoping its towards the end of chemo soon.

Jasmine: Where are you? Miss seeing your posts.

Madison: You playing with a blackberry. Ha ha - cant stay away even when your on vacation.

Well - time is up. This is the week my schedule changes which means some days I wont have any morning computer time. At least in most cases, I can choose the days I go in early.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Good morning sunshine sisters.
    Good night Peter.
I see Nicki beat me this morning. I hated to get out of bed and now only have a couple of minutes. Its downright chilly on this end of the circle this morning....the furnace actually kicked on.
Karen...we are all with you today for your magic carpet ride...all will be well. Sending prayers and hugs your way.
Cheri...fire up the magic carpet and rescue me from work.
Oh goody...a couple of new myspace girls.
Hey Peter...make yourself a myspace page! It's fun and then we can see you too! You've gotta look better than that pic that Cheri posted LOL.
Sheri...I haven't seen you in a couple days...are you ok?
Hmmm...gonna have to take a roll call and see who else is missing.
    Gotta run...
Love and big hugs to all

    Good Monday morning everyone.

    image

Yes, it's Monday again. Another very busy week. I hope I can stick to working just 40 hours this week.

Peter I hope you are sleeping soundly.

Karen - You are probably at the hospital now, getting ready for your surgery. I hope the carpet ride was not too bumpy and you have found some peace. May God shine HIS healing light on you and protect you while you undergo this procedure. It is my wish that you wake up with very little discomfort. I'll be thinking about today and sending prayers your way.

Charlene - thanks. Glad to see you are doing better and always nice to read your posts.

Jankay - you were up late. I hope you can get some sleep.

BTW- has anyone heard of the Halo Breast Pap Test - I just saw it on the news. It uses a device to pump breast fluid for analysis. It can detect pre-cancerous cells 8 years earlier than what it takes for something to show up on a mammogram. Insurance companies do not cover it yet and the cost is $100-150. They are recommending it for women as young as in theirs 20's who have a hx of fam bc.

I better log off now, need to get ready for work. Good day everyone.

A big hello to Vickie and Odalys! Hoping you have a great day.

I did the craziest thing yesterday. Was reading the want ads like I do every Sunday - saw an ad for Director of Health Services for a new Supportive Living Facility opening up right near my house. I have an updated resume in my computer, so I sent one. Dont know if they will respond or not, but Im perfect for this position. Im getting really tired of driving around.

Anyways - have a great day.

Good morning everyone, rest well Peter.

I'm off on a little retail therapy trip today. Gave myself the day off from the bathroom.

Nicki - I know what you mean about the myspace. I did figure out how to add Vickie, Cheri and Shirley last night. I see there are others and I'll add them when I get home. Good for you for sending the resume! You would be perfect for that job. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Vickie - have a marvelous day.

Oh, Sherloc and I are going to meet Gina while we're in NYC. How cool is that? I am getting really excited about this trip.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    BBL
    Hugs
    Liz

Good morning CG's - its 5:40 am here in Denver and we are leaving for the hospital in about 5 minutes. Really didn't sleep last night. Crawled into bed about 1:45 am and got up at 4:45. Now I am tired - but more than that THIRSTY!! I am ticked off that the anesthesiologist did not call last night and I plan to tell him that this morning. I'm still not positive what I am going to do, but I think I will go ahead and do the repair on the radiated side. But I am going to tell PS how I have been feeling and how freaked out his nurse (who I generally like) got me regarding the pain issue.
Hold on tight on the magic carpet. Nicki glad you have the dramamine. Surgery is in less than 2 hours - 7:30am. Nicki I already feel the magic wand. Thanks. Thanks everyone for your prayers, well wishes, support and coming along with me for this surgery. I know the OR will be quite crowded. Hugs, karen

Margaret - yum! I love thai food. That sounds like pad thai (noodles in peanut sauce with some veggies and maybe chicken?) which I love (even though I can't describe it!) I took an Indian cooking class with some friends once and it was really fun!

OK, trying to make the most of my time with Warren before he leaves me for 2 weeks. It's cool and overcast here today, so we're off to do some errands to get him ready for his trip to Florida to visit grandma!

Hope everyone has a great start to the week!
