    Hi Everyone,

I'm home and have pages of posts I need to read....
    just wanted to say hello

Daughter starts her internship tomorrow. We did manage to set up her duplex and I think she will be comfortable in her new environment.

It was GREAT to meet Liz. She is wonderful, beautiful and amazing and I loved every moment we spent together. It warms my mother's heart to know that there is someone close to my daughter. Thank you Liz.

    be back later.

    Good afternoon CG's

It is way too hot here in Denver for me - in the high 90's. Just can't handle the heat anymore. This afternoon Miriam and I went to see her best friend in a play - Charlie and the glass elevator. Her friend was so good. the girls are best friends. The funny thing is - Miriam is in a play this coming week and it is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - and this was n ot planned. Fun mother and daughter day. We all went to lunch afterwards. DH is out of town till thursday. Sue, Like you, I have a short fuse these days - no patience for the BS!!! It seems to be worse the past couple of days. I know I should let the little stuff go, but I seem to get so annoyed so easily anymore. Maybe its time to try the Effexor again. The hot flashes are pretty bad on the Aromoasin.
Nicki - I love Sir Paul - alwasy have - had a crush on him when I was younger and I think I still do. I was lucky to see him in concert on 11/1/05 - one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Just bought his new CD and it is quite good.
Shel - genetic testing is just blood draw as well as meeting with the genetic counselor to do a family tree.
Angel - I loved the 9 key statements - emailed it to myself and my DH. NOw I can send it to my girlfriends.
Madison - welcome home - glad to hear that DD is situated.
NS - so sorry that you are having such a hard time. Glad you go out to see the firefighters. YOu so deserve a good hunk - you are beautiful inside and out.
Marsha - I will post pictures of Israel as soon as I figure out how to do just a few - we took over 800. Put them on a disc (actually 4) and now need to figure out what to print - I'm sure it will be several hundred but for sure not all. There are some good ones with the 3 of us.
Jankay - you always post the cutest stories.
Shel - sorry work is so bad - you said you need to go across the border to get Aleve - could I mail you some? or will that be a hassle with customs?
    Eachday - welcome
Marsha - glad to hear that you are getting your groove back
Colleen - tell you "ex" to take a flying hike. The ring is yours to do whatever you darn well please - it was a gift. I agree with the others, let him go buy a new wetsuit.
Cheri - I used to love the home grown tomatoes and corn when I lived in Ohio. I have a small garden patch at work, but no corn - tomatoes, melons and lots of grass to be weeded. Tried to do some friday, but after 20 mintues the heat got to me - will go again in a couple days. Poor thing was neglected for 3 weeks. But I think the midwest does a much better job with the veeggies.
Peter - how are you feeling? Is the antibiotic helping?
Liz - hows the painting coming?
Vickie - thanks for posting the CG video again - I couldn't get it to play beyond the first couple scenes, but it reminded me of how good it was the first time I saw it.
Shirley - welcome home from the lake. did you finish the bra quilt? I never did get mine in the mail. ooops
Tina - we have dragon boat racing at a man made lake in denver, but I have never seen it. sounds like hard work.
Nicki- post pics of the baby quilts when they are done.
Joyce, Z, Odalys, Tgirls (sorry about the job), Pam, Amy (more prayers for you, your family and your dad), Suz, Mizzissy, Susan, Deb (I know you area away from all modern amenities), Puppy, Jan, MB, Jan (glad you had a good ride), Vickie, Sheri, Christine (my NSSP) Shokk, CherylNC, Mena, and where or where are Robin, Tricia, LisaElder (how are you sweetie, Denise, Madison, and all the other sweet sisters. I hope you are all having a good day. Sending warm sunshine and hugs from Denver. I love you all. Karen

Hi everyone..busy weekend for me..our local museum has an exhibit put on by the Japanese-Americans who were local farmers before WWII and then were put in internment camps.
I took pictures..they recreated a room from the the camps..that is the picture in the Center..a really amazing exhibit and it was really a wonder to see the people who came to the reception .

Good evening all. I hope everyone enjoyed their Sunday. It was a quiet day around here. My dh is home but Amber had to work and the boys were both gone over the week-end. The baby comes back tonight and then Ethan home in the morning. It really is a much needed break on the week-ends but I start missing the boys about a day after they're gone.

Peter, you were talking about not being able to view a video on Youtube. I have backwoods dial-up because we're out in the sticks and I can't ever watch them when someone posts either. Well, I can, but it takes a very long time to load.

Z, thank you for the definetion of the word 'Sardonic'.

Marsha, good to see you posting on this thread again. You got a nasty pm? I just don't understand why people have to do that. Hmm...wonder what you said that I didn't say. lol

Nicki, I picture Marshas nasty pm-er just like you pictured. hahaha Where did you find that guy?

Eachday, well aren't you just the sweetest thing and smart, too. That was a lovely post and it sounds like you understand the whole concept of the Circle. I do wish you would join us you would certainly be welcomed. That was thoughtful of you to post what you did. If you ever need us you know we'll be here.

Shel, I miss your feisty posts so much. I'd look for another job if I were you. I think it's too stressful for you.

Jankay, funny jokes. Hope you had a nice birthday yesterday.

Colleen, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." I agree with Marsha, Tim doesn't deserve an explanation. You don't owe him anything. The emotional stress he put you and Warren under was just too much. Perhaps you could sell the ring and buy you a little black sexy dress and have a girls night out. I had a guy walk out on me once without so much as leaving a note or even a message on the machine. A couple months later a mutual friend called and said he wanted to get his new boots that he'd forgotten and left at my house. I had been with him when he bought them and they were around $450. I said I'd take them over to the friends house and leave them for him. I thought tearing them up would be tacky. I had to cross a river bridge on the way over so I just tossed one of them out the window. Just gave him one back. hahaha I enjoyed your post.

Margaret, we didn't plant any cherry tomatoes this year and i dont know why. What I really like are those grape tomatoes. DH will be picking a bunch of corn that I have to silk tonight but it's worth it. I think this is the best crop we've ever had.

Robin, hope everything is ok with you. I wish you'd check in with us so we'd know you're alright. You haven't posted in quite awhile.

LisaE, hoping all is well with you.

Mena, I'll be so happy for you when you start feeling better. I miss your sense of humor.

Shirley, beautiful pics from yesterday. Glad you had a good time.

Marsha, you're camping trip sounds like great fun. I love the lake. We live within an hr. of 2 lakes and used to go almost every week-end until I had my wreck and got hurt. We just have a little 16' Jonboat but we've had as much fun on that thing with friends as we would've on a big boat. You did a really good post including everyone. You asked if anyone had heard from Cy. She IM'd me a couple of nights ago and she was tired and was in quite a bit of pain. She is truly a nice person and I sure hate it that she's sick.

Puppy, nice to see you doing some posting. Hope you feel better.

Gina, you do have a way with words. Buffalochip--lmao. You know that firemen are supposed to put 'fires' out not start them! haha Nice to see you. Sorry about your pain.

Sheri, nice post. I've noticed your changing too. You seem much more confident and not as thin-skinned as when I first met you. That's good.

Boo, I agree with what you said about the clique thread. It's an explosive subject. I do hope we all keep our cool and not let it get to us. Maybe you should talk to your dr. about your temperment change and see what he thinks.

Madison, welcome home. Lovely pics of you & Liz and you have a beautiful daughter.

Janny, hey girlfriend you need to tell that dh of yours that we're important and you need the computer. lol I'll give you a call this week.

Well boy & girls this has been an unusual past week. We haven't had any discord here in our Circle since a few months ago when this same issue was hashed out. Emotions have ran high because it is a subject that is very touchy. There was no reason for it to be brought up again but that's water under the bridge. So it's done and we just go on as usual. I don't understand why anyone would want to create a thread about us except that maybe they're jealous. I haven't read that thread in awhile but when I did earlier everyone had remained calm. I hope it will just fade away before the same people that always causes problems start posting. There really isn't very many people that don't like us but the few that don't really make a stink.

Hey to Charlene, Iris, and Vickie. To everyone from Amy to Z have a nice relaxing evening before the week starts again.

Amy, I'm sending up prayers for your daddy and you & family.

Afternoon ladies. Time to get up Peter. I think. Another lazy day in the neighborhood. Have kinda just putzed around and whined about my poor sunburned legs. The color in those pics is a bit off. Wonder what happened to them?

Gina, I'm glad you made it to the parade. Hunky firemen would have got me out of the house too.

    Charlene, ppppphhhhhttttttttttt hahahhahahahhahha.
Hugs to Audrey and her team. They'll win the next one.

Colleen, isn't that video fabulous. I loved watching it again. Thanks Nicki for posting it.

Nicki, you know my BIL is a fireman and NONE of his fireman friends look like that.

Sheri, Cracker Barrel. Yummy. Have a great trip home from the airport tomorrow.

Boo/Sue, hugs to you honey. I find I have far less tolerance for many things these days.

Cherryl, so what did you do on your nice summer day in Oak Park.

Margaret, you can come be a domestic goddess in my house any time.

    Hi Madison, welcome home.

Karen, yes I finished the quilt. Picking it up from the quilter tomorrow. Excited to see the finished project.

Socal, were there a lot of people there from that very sad time in our history?

Guess I should think about feeding the manperson something for dinner. I'll see you all later.

Hi Cheri, I'm sure you needed the weekend to recuperate from caring for the boys all week. I know you love em to bits but you my dear are pulling extra duty these days.
Thanks for letting us know about Cy.

Cy, if you are reading.....I am praying for you.

Just dropping in to say hi. Been busy with yardwork. Grandbaby Dominic is doing very well. His big brother, Luke has a new saying. "Put the baby in the bed."

I have about ten pages to read. Don't like to miss what's going on. Did check out the clique thread on the other forum. Everyone did a great job in expressing themselves.

Have my rescheduled mammogram and rad onc appt on Tuesday. Didn't change it on the calender.

DH is home for the summer, and feels neglected if I'm on the computer too much. When school starts up again in the fall I should be able to keep up better.

Hugs, healing and prayers for all my sisters and brother, Peter.

    Hi Everyone,
I am back from a week and a half vacation to Reno and Las Vegas, all with family. We had a wonderful time together. We saw the Beatles "Love" show - it was fantastic!!! (Huge Beatles fan here.)
I an quite out of it, and haven't been able to read much while I was gone, so I will just jump back in from here.
Tomorrow, I start working full time rather than part time, so I hope I can keep up.
I am doing great. I go to the ps for my second "fill" on Tuesday.

Okay so we're 11 days late but we finally set off some fireworks with Audrey .. the kind you buy in the big pack from walmart. They were fun and she so enjoyed it!

Nicki - The wedding in August sounds like so much fun! Congrats on the sexy black dress .. Every woman should have one! I haven't had a chance to look at the videos yet that you posted .. looks like I missed some fun there! I'll go back later and check them out. You're right, the kids have been keeping me happily busier than usual lately so I haven't been on here as much as I'd like.

Peter - glad to hear your infections isn't too serious. You're right, last night I needed no wine to relax to before I fell into a deep sleep. I still don't need it but I'm having one now anyways! Tomorrow I get to sleep in a bit! Your post to Denise was so very nice and informative about yourself. That's good, we want to know you better. As hard as this is, I can't imagine being a male and having to deal with all that goes with it. Feel free to open up about yourself any time.

Vickie - Oh dear, I think you misread a post. I didn't finish any treatment. Perhaps you saw the one where I told Jankay that her last day of treatment is the same day as my birthday and we would have a double celebration. You say such sweet things, thank you for remembering my babies and tucking them in!

Theresa - So sorry about your job. Perhaps this will be the beginning of something better for you in that regard though. Something much less stressful hopefully.

Liz - Hope your DH is okay.

Margaret - Congrats on finishing your first week of boot camp! Can I have some of that energy that you seem to have such an abundance of?? Yes, I am proud of my daughter and love to go to all her athletics and just watch her. She amazes me sometimes. You're right, it Is a good kind of tired!

Tina - hope you win the dragonboat race!

Z - It's always a pleasure reading your posts. Good luck with the toxic person at work this week. I used to deal with one of those and in the end .. She got fired! Sweet victory!

Odalys - Congratulations on your job, you should be so proud of yourself!

Joyce - Your son sounds very wise for his age.

Colleen - oh no, keep the ring. do as you like with it, it's yours. And I hope you found that good book and got into your own bed with it. Your post was very sweet about the circle group. lol about being glad Warren isn't coordinated. I was just saying this morning, "whose idea was it to say yes to Audrey playing softball in the middle of summer?". Of course I love that she does but at 6 AM I'm not as crazy about it!

Cheri - I wish I had it in me to do a veggie garden. Maybe someday .... LOL at your throwing the boot in the river!

Jankay - glad you had a nice birthday!

Marsha - I love your posts, you're so down to earth. Sorry you got a nasty PM, who needs that kind of crap?

Eachday - welcome to you. I wish I had the way with words that you do. Beautifully said.

Shel - sorry to hear you're going through such a hard time. Good luck to you, sounds like you need to let it out more and this is a great place to do it.

Shirley - that's awesome that you wore a bikini and you Should be proud!

Sheri - congratulations on finishing hosting duties!

Sue - OMG, I don't know if I can handle all that testosterone! As far as your temperament I've been there .. it's tough, I lashed out at those I love most. You sound like you're overly stressed out. Ativan helped me. Good luck sweetie.

Lisa - the exhibit looks awesome.

    (((((CY))))) thinking of you

Amy - hugs to you too

Pam - how was the wedding?

Hi to Cherryl, Madison, Jan, Karen, Iris Angel, Laura, Tricia, Gina, Puppy, Robin, LisaE and all the wonderful CG's who make me feel like family.

Starting this week I expect to not have as much time on here as I have. My expander surgery is Friday. My sister from Texas arrives Wednesday for two weeks. She'll be helping out with Ava during my initial recovery period. My mom is coming to stay August 2nd and my brother and his daugher and her boyfriend arrive August 3rd. Family reunion August 4th and my Dad is coming August 5th for a get together at another sisters house. I've had no energy or desire to really clean my house since my dx and I have a Ton of stuff to do! Thankfully Audrey has only one more week of softball. I'm bummed that I'm likely going to miss her last tournament next weekend. If anybody has gone through the expander surgery please feel free to offer any advice on what I can expect, especially as far as the kids go or if/when I'll be up to going anywhere. I hope everyone has a very restful nights sleep and a great week.

    Love Ya All,
    Charlene

Good night Circle girls and good morning Peter and Jezza. How odd that seems!

Marsha -- you probably should have known FOS but what is amazing is that I knew it! Thanks for making me Queen of the one liners. <practices the royal wave>

Shel -- it seems that job discrimination once you are diagnosed with a serious illness is a universal issue. I hope you get things worked out. Is there any way you could get maybe a training position?

Jankay -- I loved your funnies and our chats today! I'm going to make us some nice pie to sit and watch all the goings ons. We'll sit on the sofa, eat our pie and watch.

Odalys -- nice pics. I loved the 'ghetto' one. Very cute.

Colleen -- I don't know what types of books you like to read but if you want something light, funny and easy to read then I recommend the Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. They are hilarious and sure help to take your mind off things when you need a break. I agree with what the other said, you don't owe any explanation for keeping the ring.

Liz -- hello. I hope you had a lovely day. I can't wait to see pics of the new room soon. How is your husband doing?

Nicki -- hope you had a great day too. Loved the picture of the firemen.

Puppy -- hi to you. How are you feeling these days? Thanks for the lovely picture and poem.

Gina -- Hope you have a good nights rest and feel better tomorrow. How many more weeks of abraxane do you have left? Don't you do the cytoxan next? Maybe it will be easier. I hope so.

Sheri -- I agree. You have grown alot these last few months. More confident and not afraid to state your feelings. When does school start for you? Are you excited for it to start again or wishing the summer could be a bit longer? YOu know, I have met very few people in Arkansas who speak like that either. Those posts are obviously meant to ridicule and perpetuate the 'hillbilly/redneck/southern' stereotype. But, having lived all my life in the south, I can say that I sure have met alot of 'southern wannabes'. So we must have something that they want. I'm a true southern girl and I'm darn proud of it.

Madison -- welcome home. I'm glad you had such a wonderful time in Oklahoma and the pics of all three of you are simply fantastic.

Jan -- glad you had a nice ride and enjoyed the day.

Lisa -- great pictures. It looks like a wonderful day at the museum. That was a very sad part of our history.

Vickie -- wow. sounds like you have been very busy. Sorry the printer is on the blink. I hope you get it figured out soon.

Denise -- always nice to see your posts in the circle.

Laura -- best wishes on your appointments on Tuesday.

Cherryl -- sounds like my kind of weekend. Just enjoying the leisure time in the yard reading.

Tricia -- its nice to have you back in the circle. Glad you enjoyed your family time.

Peter -- how is the infection? Can you tell if its getting better or not?

Well, its been a lovely weekend here and tomorrow starts another work week. Sweet dreams to all.

Good night my CG Family, it is late and I am reading Maya Angelou to rest my soul, strengthen my spirit and prepare me for another week ahead.

I will share this piece with you, my sisters enduring the struggle and the triumphs:

    In All Ways A Woman

In my young years I took pride in the fact that luck was called a lady. In fact, there were so few public acknowledgments of the female presence that I felt personally honored whenever nature and large ships were referred to as feminine. But as I matured, I began to resent being considered a sister to a changeling as fickle as luck, as aloof as an ocean, and as frivolous as nature. The phrase "A woman always has the right to change her mind" played so aptly into the negative image of the female that I made myself a victim to an unwavering decision. Even if I made an inane and stupid choice, I stuck by it rather than "be like a woman and change my mind."

Being a woman is hard work. Not without joy and even ecstasy, but still relentless, unending work. Becoming an old female may require only being born with certain genitalia, inheriting long-living genes and the fortune not to be run over by an out-of-control truck, but to become and remain a woman command the existence and employment of genius.

The woman who survives intact and happy must be at once tender and tough. She must have convinced herself, or be in the unending process of convincing herself, that she, her values, and her choices are important. In a time a nd world where males hold sway and control, the pressure upon women to yield their rights-of-way is tremendous. And it is under those very circumstances that the woman's toughness must be in evidence.

She must resist considering herself a lesser version of her male counterpart. She is not a sculptress, poetess, authoress, Jewess, Negress, or even (now rare) in university parlance a rectoress. If she is the thing, then for her own sense of self and for the education of the ill-informed she must insist with rectitude in being the thing and in being called the thing.

A rose by any other name may smell as sweet, but a woman called by a devaluing name will only be weakened by the misnomer. She will need to prize her tenderness and be able to display it at appropriate times in order to prevent toughness from gaining total authority and to avoid becoming a mirror image of those men who value power above life, and control over love.

It is imperative that a woman keep her sense of humor intact and at the ready. She must see, even if only in secret, that she is the funniest, looniest woman in her world, which she should also see as being the most absurd world of all times. It has been said that laughter is therapeutic and amiability lengthens the life span. Women should be tough, tender, laugh as much as possible, and live long lives. The struggle for equality continues unabated, and the woman warrior who is armed with wit and courage will be among the first to celebrate victory. -MA

Peter this is for you, because in my minds eye I imagine you have a very beautiful face because I feel your beautiful spirit everytime you talk to us, your sisters:

    THE FACE

The face that looked back at me,
The eyes that beheld what is to be,
The thoughts they invoke for me to see,
Are not all that comprises the most of me.

It challenges me though, to be more than I am.
It moves me to think thoughts beyond my kin.
The mirror gives back what is given to it.
Today may I be more than I have ever been.

To all my beauties and handsome Peter, good night.

Another late night..or early morning. Still feels like night time, though. My dh picked over 100 ears of corn out of the garden and I silked them tonight. It's a bit of trouble but worth it. This week-end was our first picking of corn out of it. We'll have another batch ready in about 3 weeks. He also brought in a very large bag of tomatoes. Life is good.

Charlene, I hate to hear you'll be spending less time here on the boards with us. You are a shining star in the Circle. You are a nice person and have a great sense of humor.

Tricia, I didn't realize you had been on vacation the past few weeks. I was beginning to worry about you. Hope you had a good time. You made it home so you didn't gamble all your money away. lol

    Cherryl/Jankay sleep well.

Janny, you didn't spend much time on here tonight. I'll talk to you tomorrow, dear friend.

Laura, nice to see a post from you. Sounds like Luke might be a little jealous of little Dominic. I guess that's only natural. Aren't grandkids just the best?

Neesie, congrats on getting to go to Pinkstock. That's great for you. You'll really enjoy it.

Hi ya Shirley. Hoping you are snuggled up in your bed sleeping peacefully.

Z, thank you so much for sharing those wonderful words with us and Peter. You are such an asset to the Circle. I always enjoy your posts. I also admire your loyalty because I think that's a very important trait to have. And it's rare these days.

Vickie, have you seen your dr. yet? I'm a little concerned that you're so tired all the time. You didn't used to be like this. Maybe you're anemic? Doesn't seem like I've seen much of you the past couple days. Maybe because we haven't IM'd, or have you just not been around much?

Jazz, dear girlfriend. I absent mindedly left you out of my earlier post and please accept my deepest, most heartfelt apologies. hahahahaha Tell me you didn't leave me out on purpose in your post tonight? I'm glad I have you as my friend and i must agree with Marsha, you are the Queen of one-liners. Very clever girl.

Mena, Puppy, and CherylCY I pray for you to feel better.

I've been having some knee pain in my good leg. Ain't that just peachy? Watch my ankle/foot heal and my knee go out and need surgery. Yikes!!

Here's wishing you all a peaceful nights sleep from Amy to z.

Can somone let me know what they see in my avatar? Yep, I've changed it again but this time I'm leaving it awhile if I can get it to post. I see Ethan and I've cleaned out my cookies/files. There should be a new one showing. Darn the luck.

    Thanks

Good Morning Everyone: I sure am tired this morning and already wishing I didnt have to go to work. I already know I have a very busy thats going to involve lots of driving around.

Poooooooof - thats me runnng cause my coffee is done.

Cheri: Looks like sunrise to me. Either over a lake or the ocean. It could be a sunset too, but since Im a sunshine sister, I think its a sunrise.

    Good Morning Jankay and Peter.

Sheri: Looks like you and I have been getting some rather nice compliments from our sisters here. Feels good that others notice Im moving on, cause I sure dont see it in myself with my day to day activities. I love it when the teacher comes out of you. Yes, the posts seemed to be mockingly odd.

Boo/Sue: Sometimes I feel like my tolerance is shot. Little things seem to bother me more now. One day while talking to a coworker on the telephone, I had to stop myself and say "my goodness its sounds like Im yelling at you." Apologized right away. I have stopped counting to 10. I now walk away from the whole situation until I can calm down. That helps me not making a fool of myself by responding in an explosive manner. And yes - starting that clique thread seemed mean spirited to me. The only purpose I can see, is for it to cause more discord on these boards. But so far, I think we all have handled it pretty well. Im proud of all of us. Im glad I wont have access to my computer all day. Hoping nothing nasty gets written.

MargaretB: Thanks for those nice compliments. The wedding is Augsut 25th and going out on Lake Michigan sounds like its gonna be a blast. The chicken salad sounds so good. One of my favorites.

Jan: Our computer times are so different. Your busy doing things on the week-ends and can pop in at work. Im the opposite. Cant pop in at work and catch up on the week-ends. We have a solar cover for our pool, but the temps have gone down in the 50's this past week - end result, water at 68 degrees. They say warmer again this week - so Im sure I will be swimming again soon.

Madison: What is your daughters internship in?

Karen: Its sounds like you have a very nice Sunday with your daughter. I think that heat wave is on its way to Chicago. This past week has been delightful. high 70's and low humidity.

SoCal: I was wondering where you were. I forgot all about the exhibit. As usual, the pictures are great.

Cheri: You are so right about youtube and having dial up. Before we got comcast - I had dial up and would get so frustrated cause it would take 45 mintues to load. Guess I will have to type an explanation when I post a song. I can still picture that boot going over the bridge and landing in the river. Hahahaha Im wondering if buffalochips are like Rocky Mountain Oysters

CY: Sure do miss you around here. Hoping things are better for you today. Both you and NS are going through such hard times right now and just want you to know we love you both.

Sherloc: The pictures of that manmade lake were great. Sorry about your legs getting sunburned though. Here in Illinois we have "Chain of Lakes" they were formed by glaciers thousands of years ago. Then of course we have Lake Michigan. But you have to respect Lake Michigan. It can change in a split second - so no kayaking there. I have always envied those that live near the ocean - and always forget how pretty Lake Michigan really is.

Vickie: Hoping you get that thyroid tested really soon. Its frustrated to feel so tired all the time.

Geez: I hate work days. My time is running out so I gotta be quick.

Tricia: So glad your back and had a good time. Old Beatles fan here too.

Angel: Are you having exchange surgery? If so, I had it done last year. I will talk more about it when I have some time. Despite how busy you are, you will have board withdrawal, so I expect to see you at least popping in and saying hello.

    Jasmine: Good morning to you.

    Z: Great post.

OK - gotta hits the showers. See ya all later.

    Mom's Time Out

My Parents had not been out together in quite some time.

One Saturday, as Mom was finishing the dinner dishes, my father stepped up behind her.

"Would you like to go out, girl?" he asked.

Not even turning around, my mother quickly replied, "Oh, yes, I'd love to!"

They had a wonderful evening, and it wasn't until the end of it that Dad confessed.

His question had actually been directed to the family dog, lying near Mom's feet on the kitchen floor.

I JUST MADE A POST ON ANOTHER THREAD AND THIS IS WHAT I SAID

YESTERDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME, I WENT BACK AND READ THE THREAD I HAD HEARD SO MUCH ABOUT.
I COULDNT BELIEVE MY EYES. ANYONE WHO HAS STUDIED AMERICAN HISTORY KNOWS THAT IN THE OLDEN
DAYS, WAGON TRAINS WOULD MAKE A CIRCLE AT NIGHT FOR PROTECTION. WHEN THEIR WERE INDIAN UPRISINGS THE WOMEN,
CHILDREN ALONG W IT H THE SICK AND ELDERLY WERE PLACED IN THE CENTER OF THE CIRCLE FOR PROTECTION.
IF YOU STOP AND THINK , THE SAME CONCEPT WAS USED WHEN THE SETTLERS PLANNED THEIR COMMUNITIES.
THEY MIGHT HAVE CABINS ON THE OUTER P ERIMETER BUT WHEN THERE WAS DANGER THEY ALL MOVED TO
THE SAFETY OF THE FORT., WHICH WOULDVE BEEN THE CENTER ;OF THE SETTLEMENT.

IT ALSO SEEMS TO ME LIKE THAT THE ONES COMPLAINING MAY BE JEALOUS. WHICH IS FOOLISH BECAUSE THEIR
ARE NO RESTRICTIONS . ANYONE CAN COME PULL UP A LOG AND SIT AT THE CAMPFIRE.
WHICH I RECOMMEND BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER MET SUCH A LOVING BUNCH OF PEOPLE.
