how about drinking?

Hi Cyn. 17 years they normally are drinking here by then. Legal limit to drink is 18. She will be allowed in any pub but no clubs or late bars.

A woman brings eight-year-old Johnny home and tells his mother that he was caught playing doctors and nurses with Mary, her eight-year-old daughter.
Johnny's mother says, "Let's not be too harsh on them.... they are bound to be curious about sex at that age."
"Curious about sex?" replies Mary's mother. "He's taken her *ucking appendix out!" -
Orange I know u'r still in pain, but it sounds better for u and yay for poop--for u at least---so color wise it's all bruising, but she fooled around alot in there. Oh how I hope it starts easing up. Don't pain meds constipate some people--so that's why the poop is being stingy--well that'll change now--at least that will ease u some. Right no drinking until the meds stop then go to town---well u don't have to actually go to a town, but de Lounge is always open--waiting for u.
ll this bacon talk, sounds good to me right now--I never frose cooked bacon what a briliant idea--just cooking it once and then freeze the pan stuff for other things too. Oh a BLT sounds good right now. Oh well There's one banana left and I'm taking it.
I like the DOTD I think, sounds good.
NM it is cold here, I had to go out today and wow it hit mese face hardliest, whew I couldn't wait to get home.
Shannon u sure are a good stalker, u were undercover--Hmmm the name--Well de Lounge is getting all cleaned up today--it was a long weekend for most of us--oh my weekend lasts 7 days now--I keep on forgetting.
Dork it's so good u have some opiions to work with and a goo Dr. Rhis should do it then right. and no more hole or operations too? Oh u've had more than a person should be allowed or even a pet. Just to many and like I said I kow now why it's so painful--U girls are so brave for foobs it's mind-blowing to me.
Oh Oh I never knew that about crying--the tear factor--very interesting--I'd better start crying sometime--I never cry I feel like it sometimes then there are no tears--I think my holes are closed as opposed to someone who has an extra hole--NO NAMES.-See Dork I didn't mention u'r name this time.
I had my heart thingy rhis mornin oh--that's another story--when I'm more awake I'll tell u about it later, naturally things got goofed up. Not as bad as usual tho.
So I'll talk to u guys later--I LLLUUUUBBBB all of u
-
I see Bernie..she will be just shy of 18 but I dont think she is going to be much of a drinker anyway...not like her mom at her age by a long shot.
Maude...are you awake enough to discuss your heart?? I like the idea of a 7 day weekend...oh that will be me next week I guess...but I have to get on with that driving school thing so I can keep the points of my license..what a pain in the butt. On that note....I'll take a Natty!!! tyvm

Oh no, Lara.....that is SO scary. I was shocked to hear about it, but this time I was glad it was 2 guys shooting at each other, and not some crazy shooting lots of innocent people. Even though 2 innocent people got in the line of fire, I was just thankful it wasn't someone just trying to kill as many as they could. Glad your co-worker is ok!

Middle of the night ladies---I hope everyone is sleeping it off. Well not if u under a tender, then u don't want him off.
Lara I'm glad to see u a little bit hoping the pain has lessened some.
And we've been quiet lately---but it's only Tuesday and it's kinda like Monday for some--so it's confusing.
I just woke up from doing nothing before----
Ok my story--I'll shorten it, it is boring---The hospital made an app't for my scan and one hospital and made an pp't for me at nother hospital--Of ourse I said nope--so she told me for my 2nd appointment just get my B/p taken and I said can't I just come in the office there and she said Oh we don't have any here to do it. I of course said U'r a hospital--let me at a machine thing and I'll do it.--Well that's not llowed apparently--so now I have a whole hospital to find someone. Anyway I was totally lost (it's so big) and I walked in a room and went to the girl in front and asked for help (I'm not proud) AND she said u'r exactly where u'r supposed to be-Schock came over me and I yelled (don't ask me why_ My powers are back as I slowly turned people were looking ar me. Wonder why??? They took me immediately and I asked the tech about the b/p thingy and she said Oh I take it before and after--Like no one knew this??? It was over so fast I was surprised and she said sometimes it's really easy when the patient is still and doesn't smoke. I said I smoke (I know me bad) and she said Ohhh it didn't look like it--it was an US --anyway it's fine with one enlarged aorta whatever that means so it's fine.
Then the fun started here Joey was home and I was in the kitchen part of the whole house that doesn't have carpeting and I turned to ask Joey to get me some water in the garage--got dizzy and went down backwards, first time in not slow motion, my foot must have twisted when I turned and whap down I went so Joey gets like OMG, OMG the kids come in and did u ever really try to get up when everyone is laughing--can't be done.--but I was still dizzy so it was the best place for me---so I crawled to the cabinets and started to get up I went right back down again on my ass so we all calmed down and poor Joey he's yelling this is so tramatic--I'm laughing at him--boy are my arms week, of course my body no twinkie either==so les walked me back in my room and she says--u want to go to the hospitl?? I yelled NO, Now my B/P was fine, my heart was fine my head got dizzy for 2 seconds and blap I go down---and not on carpet--so I' was literally knocked out LOL now I'm awake till my pills set in and that was my day today--I do not like falling cuz now I feel every bone that hit the floor and I's a hurtin/
-
Good morning, Loungettes! Another chilly morning here, about 3 degrees on my back deck. Sadie went out, piddled, ran back in and high tailed it for the bed and is snuggled into the pillows! Wish I could do that. Hmmm, I'm thinking the DOTD yesterday should have been the Who's Under Whom?
Goldie--Yes, the duvet has been frozen before, and likely will be frozen again. I love the way linens smell after they've been frozen and then dried in cold weather. Yeah, some of the veggie water does have a lot of salt in it, sometimes I have to thin it out with a little water, but since I don't use salt when I cook it's generally not a problem for me. Once in a while I buy a whole chicken, roast it and boil the bones for stock. Actually, it's getting to be about time to do that again. . .
To whoever it was that mentioned a calendar for keeping the whole family on track, try Cozi. www.Cozi.com. It's an online calendar that I can access from my computer or my iPhone, also keeps to do lists, shopping lists, does meal planning. You can color code appointments and things. You can set up text reminders to go to your cell phone. It's really handy, I love it!
Wahine--funny how we've gotten used to instant everything--instant delivery, instant gratification, instant food. I like ordering things that will take a while to come, I'n not thinking about it when it finally arrives and it's a nice surprise! Oh, I hadn't thought about using rotisserie chicken or turkey breast for stock, neat idea! Beaten egg? Never heard of that, gonna have to try it.
Hey, the TV news folks just said it's National Pie Day. Who wants some? What's your favorite? I can't decide, mince, blueberry, pecan, toll house, chocolate cream, I can go on and on.
Mema--I had forgotten about potato water, need to save that too! That may even be enough to dilute the sodium from the canned veggies.
ORLA--See, you have good reason to be hurting, and good reason to use the pain meds. I know we're not supposed to drink while on pain meds, but medical folks tend to forget just how good an analgesic alcamahol is! Still, probably best to keep to one kind of pain killer at a time. Muscles need about 6 weeks to heal, you can expect to have notable pain for 3 to 4 of those weeks, so give yourself some time. BTW, pooping is good, too!
DorKable--Hooray for new foobs and insurance pre-approval! Are you going to have one or both boobs redone? I had both, and love the result. I went smaller and haven't had to wear a bra since. When you get your date let me know, I'll send you a list of things to do before surgery to make recovery more comfortable. Or if you are on the same thread I was when I was doing recon you've already gotten most of it. The thing I forgot and regretted was pillows for the 6 hour drive home. If you have shorter drive it may not be an issue for you. I used a small pillow under the seat belt for a couple of months after. A friend gave me a heart shaped pillow, about 18 inches across the widest part, and it was a lifesaver. Actually I got it after the mastectomy, and it was a lifesaver then to tuck under my arm so I wasn't rubbing against the lymph node incision. So simple, and I STILL use it for my head when I'm watching tv in the recliner!
CynCyn--I do better when I have a good breakfast, too, and often fix stuff ahead of time. I'm looking for some 7 grain cereal to cook up, I cook up a batch and portion it into big soup mugs so I can just pop in in the microwave in the ayem. Like to put fruit in it for fun. Probably gonna half to settle for plain oatmeal, this winter. The pasta attachments cost almost as much as the mixer, unless you watch for sales. I got mine from Overstock.com. Just before Christmas they went on sale, about half price and free shipping. The mixer I got as a Christmas gift years ago.
BBBBernie-- When I turned 18 I could drink legally, for about 6 months. Then the drinking age went up to 21 here in Maine. So I had to wait, again! It was kind of funny, actually. Sounds like little Johnny had access to too many sharp things! LOL!
Cammy--you're right, pain meds and constipation go hand in hand. Every one started on pain meds should also be started on bowel meds at the same time. Senna is best, in my opinion. Tests getting goofed up is getting to be normal for you, isn't it? Not right.
ORLA--YIKES!!!!!!!!
Cammy--the aorta is the big artery that leaves the heart. It comes off the top, curves over to the right, and has branches that come off that become the carotid arteries (neck), radial arteries (arms) and femoral arteries (legs) along with a bunch of others. The aorta runs from the heart through the center of the body to about pelvis level. A slightly enlarged aorta is not uncommon, especially if someone has a history of high blood pressure. There are spots in the arteries in the neck that sense pressure, when you turn your head, if it's done quickly or just right makes those sensors read the blood pressure as too high and trigger a response that dilates the blood vessels to decrease the blood pressure. If you blood pressure isn't high and this happens your brain doesn't get as much blood flow as it likes, especially if you are standing up, and you can get dizzy or even pass out. That's probably what happened to you. It makes you feel very weak for a while. It happens from time to time to almost everybody to one degree or another. Unfortunately, the sensors don't check the flooring before kicking in!

Well thanks Ms Katrinka foy dat bump and I did fetch those panties, so whomever they belong to (since they ain’t mine), I’ll leave hang them in the ladies room to dry and you can pick them up there……lol. Good for you in making your own stock, I knew it sounded like a good idea. But I never have enough, since I’m the only one that eats it.
Proud Mary, crackin me up. I ain’t fessin up to nuttin. I din’t much care for that dog either. . An mese can vouch for your pantieless arse.
Cyn, I tink you should get a little Maltese or similar, mucho cuter. My mom had 2 and I believe Bella n Bax have Maltese in them.
Oh Cyn, way cool that you guys are actually gonna stay on the River Walk, and I hope you have nice weather. When we were there, that cold spell and snow we had was a fluke. But it made it miserable to see the sites. Gosh, everyone has had a lava lamp at one time or another, haven’t they? Again….NOPE not my panties!!!!
Lara, you will be able to drink soon, jes beese a goot girl, take your pain meds and take care of you. And here’s to dropping the kids off at the pool! Glad your friend is ok, WoW. Oh glad now to read you are feeling better. Did you drop the kids off?
GASPING………OH MY! Was not expecting the end to that joke BBBB, took her appendix out???
Maudy, you so so funny. Anymore, I look forward to see what you have had to say. You and Dork write the bestest posts. Well, seeing that you fell, IS NOT what I wanted to see. I hope you are ok and not feeling it today. Did you say everyone except Joey was laughing? And that he was the concerned one?
DorK, I’m so essited about your new surgeon, but my fart still aches that you have to endure this, yet again! But you are such a trooper and one would never know what you are going through, you pull through it like no one I’ve ever known. When I can only imagine the pain you are in.
Silly Sadie is no dummy NM, can’t blame a girl for not wanting to be out in that cold and good for her to go running back to her nice and cozy warm bed. Such it is “a dogs life”. Oh, you guys boil the bones AFTER it’s been cooked? Maybe I should save mine and freeze them, then when I have enough, make my stock. Sweet story about the heart pillow. I think Dort has been cut open enough, that she must know all the tricks and tips! OH WOW, we’ll be hitting the floor with THAT DOTD. Das some strong chit.
Was looking online for something saying "it's a dog's world" and found this. Stuck me funny!
Happy Hump Day................where's that Mr. Dry Humper????
-
ewwww....LOl....
Cami...you are just one of the funniest ladies I know..and Dorkie is right along side you. When you explain a situation I almost feel like I can see it in my minds eye and its all the funnier. I really hope it wasnt Joey laughing....the hospital cracked me up the most and my vision of you finding where you needed to be.
Lori...that is exactly what I envision for a dog....right on the money with that and my Sister even said Maltese was what I needed ...I'll take anything also with a poodle mix..well, not anything..but poodle mixes are good and yorkie..I love yorkies..
Only 4 days till my trip to TX..cant count today (I got that one under controll) and cant count the day I leave..so 4 days.
Lara...glad you are feelilng better today....please do take something if you need it.
NM...Sadie is a smartie....I give you credit for even going out there and hanging stuff out...burrrr...my blood is too thin now I think...lol...I turn my heat on right now when I wake up and turn on the a/c at night to sleep..I woke to 61 degrees in my apt this morning...Im glad for an excuse to wear my fluffy robes. It will be 72 before long. I would like a green mixer..I know the attachments are as much as the original machine..tres expensive oui.?. We used to save bacon grease for when we would go smelting ..to cook them in on the ice ..well, on the wood stove while fishing...also made a nice tasting cormeal like mixture (dry) to roll them in before we cooked them. Really makes me homesick for that activity this time of year.
Hope ya'll have a rockin day.
-
OH NOOOOOOooooooo Lori, that is hilarious!!! OMG! Yeah, I make stock from cooked chicken or turkey bones....but also make them from fresh, depends what I have. I think we should all put our names in our panties now....like at camp....then the guilty party (panty party) will have to fess up!
Oh my, Cami, how scary. Esp for Joey, as he is so close to you and must have worried soooo much seeing you fall like that. GLAD that NM 'splained that it could be ok, and can happen to anyone. Hoping it doesn't happen to you again, esp NOT on the hard floor!!!! Sorta funny event at the hospital you had....not surprised you yelled! Glad you finally got to the right place, by accident even. Hope you can catchup on sleep today!! This ayem I was saying something to my DH and said "Geez Louise, Get Real Camille"....don't know how the "get real camille" came out, but then I thought of you. I always laff when I say something funny to him, cuz I ALSO never know what will come out of my mouth, so I am jest as surprized as he is. LOL.
NM, I will check out that calendar, it was mese who mentioned it. The area my parents live in have their own agenda, so they send the calendar out on the microsoft thing I signed up with (I had to create a hotmail acct for it). Guess if I do the cozi thing, I can add that stuff to it. I will try it! Really like being a mom of young kids again, as I have to coordinate appts for 4 of us now, and make sure I am avail to drive them for their appts. Let me know about that cereal you are talking about....one thing I love on cruises (when they have it) is the musilex (sp) that they also put fruit in. I used to make it at home with oatmeal and leave it in the fridge, but haven't done that for awhile. Sounds nice to have it ready when you want it! And yeah, adding one beaten egg, or two, by drizzling it in your chicken/turkey soup gives it a nice flavor and a bit of thickness. And the sesame oil gives it sort of a "rustic" flavor...I love adding it. OF course, my DH uses sesame oil in everything, so we are used to that flavor. When you have asian food, if you just add a little sesame oil, it gives it that good flavor (you prolly already know that, though).
Ok, ok I gotta fess up....I didn't like that hairless dog either! Like the ideas Goldie had....also my neighbors have West Highland White Terriors, and they are soooo cute too!
OK, gonna post my fav pie for today...
Yummmmmm...pie day....I love sweets (as Lori knows!) so the sweeter the better, for mese. I don't really like pie pastry....sooooooo I think I will have a peanut butter pie or a toll house pie, or a pecan pie (I don't need to eat the crust).......and I guess since its pie day, they don't have calories in them today, RIGHT???
Lara, Glad you are doing better, and CONGRATS on quitting smoking!!!! I quit about 25-30 yrs ago but never did smoke that much so it wasn't tooo hard. Then I would have 1 pk a yr when my late DH was at green beret n'guard summer camp. Finally it got so I didn't like it at all anymore. That may help with your healing, since you are not smoking anymore.
Ok.....now all that pie talk has my hungry....gonna get some (late) breakfast....
Ciao for Niao Brown Cow....
Katwinka

Orange u'r posting funnies--that wonderful to see cuz u didn't for so long--good sign
Lori I love that picture hahaha and yes Joey gave me care LOL but he was the one making us laugh--This is so tramtic--when he said that all of us were laughing and I was half way up and fell agin. he sat with me for a while getting me waterever i wanted just cuddling. We had a big long talk about cancer research which he did most of the talking. OH--I'm hurting horribly now but nothing is broken just super sore--but PAIN MEDS to the rescue. There are certain things that are fine (I think) for addiction at my age--painmeds--of corse_ xanax--and chocolate they are all comforting.
And this looks like a recipe thread --I didn't really know anyone cooked that much--but all good ideas that I never did. Well u have to cook in order to do it.
NM thanks for the explanation that I could understand--cuz when he said do u have any questions I said no--I figured if he didn't say go to the hospitssl it was fin and I wouldn't understand anyway. And u made it so clear--see it can be done. Thank u again.
It's a little warmer here but u still have to wear a coat and hat so it's not warm enough.
Dork and Kat I hope u have a good day--Kat u'r always so so busy and Dork u too with work--slow down if u can u still have that imperfection (see I didn't say hole) so that has to be abnormal--I never in my whole life heard of that either
I don't think I'm doing much today hahhaha--like I'm so busy all the time.
-
OOPS mese bumped into de CyndieLouWhoIsCountingDeDays.....gonna have Pants bring you a bucket of icy Natty's....ok??? Yeah....4 days....WooHoo for CyndieLou! So glad your trip will be here soonliest!!!! And great idea to drive to your parents the day/night before! Any of those long haired white doggies are so pwecious...and yeah I like a mixture too....poodle is good....my bro and his wife have a snickerdoodle I think its called (or sumtin like dat)....poodle and something else. It is black and cute as a button and smart too!
-
hope you have finally got relief lara! dorty-can we come with you on your appointments? cammi-so glad you haven;t broken anything but please take care ,with all the meds your on ,orthostatic hypertension could also be a possiblility, when you stand ,gravity pulls too much blood into your legs and makes you dizzy too as there is not enough blood circulating , so please get up slowly, let your body adjust to the different positions ,and if you are having spells like this often, are you telling the doc! you may need to adjust the times of your meds. if some med is daily, you don't have to take them all at once. you can spread them through out the day, so they all don't start working at once and drop your bp too much, love to joey
big kisses to him from me, he such a sweetheart. nm-sadie has the right idea! it was cold here when i came out of work at 60F. 4 days to vacation for cyncyn -yee ha, hope everybody is having a good day
-
Thank you Jule--Geeze I have my own medical team here--how wonderful and u guys explain so I understand it--I could very well be meds I take 10 in the morning at one time and thruout the day I do take he rest little by litte, but Im taking all of them They all say can make u dizzy LOLU'd think by now I would know I've fsllen alo and some is totally my fault I know cuz I'm thinking like I used to be. And I'm not what I used to be. U guys are great to me. Thank you.
Oh it's only 4 days for Xyn. Oh wow I thought not I knew I just didn't realize it was that time--it just goes by,but not as fast for Cyn when u'r waiting--ooo I'm so happy for u going.
Kat at this time u can bump into Cyn she won't care at all. She's being happy.
Dork are u and u'r unusual opening at work now? Prolly----(see I didn't say hole)
-
Awwww Julie, that is SO sweet of you to send love and kisses to Joey! He IS a sweetheart, I think we could all adopt him here. Cami, give him hugs from the rest of us dwunks too, ok???
Oh, and Cami, I swear (not really!), but you know how to write the word "hole" in so many different ways!! You are so funny, cwack me up!
-
Hello hello ello llo (it is quiet here, mese hears an echo), where is ebeyubuddy? It is lonely here tonight. Pants, be a sweeetie and git me a dwink. I mean pleeeze. tanks.
I have finally caught up reading here, you goils crack me de hail up. Speshally dat Camille with not seying dat H word,ya know, talking about de oraface of mese chest. It really is effed up to have it but dat is not what hurts. It is de muscles under where de foob wuz dat bothers me. I am lucky in a sense to have lost feeling in the foobless area.
I've been working n working n working like a dog. Wooof woooof tehehehe! Speaking of woofers, I like the idea of a widdle white doggie for Cyn too. Not dat she prejustice against black woofers but de choices you goils have posted are goygeous! My widdle grandpuppy is one of those hybrid dogs, she is a morkie which is part yorkshire and part maltise. She sure is a cutie pie.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better Lara and good for you in quitting smoking, prouda ya goil!
Great posts by our lounge nursing staff for Camille. I am glad that you did not have to stay in de hospital, not a fun place. Yer post was funny but sorry you had to go there. Be careful and listen to Julia and slow down when you move. None of us are gitting any younger ya know?
Well I gonna git my widdle white ass to bed early tonight. Mese wuz up late last night and mese mighta partaying a wee widdle too muchly. Have a good night girls, I love all of you girls!
Peace, cheers and hugs to all yese!

Dork I hope u and that opening u own are sleeping well. Tomorrow is Friday eve and u'r working to hard and the mark that proves u are Dork on u chest needs more rest than u think. It needs coddling. So take care of that.

And I love all of u and I can't stand anyone in pain. so stop it.
-
good morning all, cammi, more awake now, so to expand on your hitting the wrong type of flooring , do you check your bp before you take your pills? it would help for you to know when your bp is low for you, that can vary from person to person from 80's to 120's sbp(the top number or systolic bp), symptoms of low is dizzyness/headache/ just not feeling good. maybe discuss with your doc if your heart rate or bp is below a certain number you don't take your bp/heart/water pills. plus to consider with your "d" your pills are expelled before being fully absorbed, does that sound better than your pooping them out too soon! plus when you have your "d" your loosing fluids and electrolytes so your not getting the full dose on those days but the days you don't have the big"d" your getting the full dose of meds, its a full time job having health issues, anyway to a diiferent subject, do you think its too early to arrange a marriage between joey and my cousins girl chloe, she is 9 so would be the older woman. lara hope your feeling better

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 5kg weight loss program.
The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck..
She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, "If you can catch me, you can have me."
Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later puffing and puffing, he finally gives up. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 5kg as promised.
He calls the company and orders their 5-day/10kg program. The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, "If you catch me you can have me".
Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape.
Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 10kg as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/25kg program.
"Are you sure?" asks the representative on the phone. "This is our most rigorous program." "Absolutely," he replies, "I haven't felt this good in years."
The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, "If I catch you, you are mine."
He lost 33 kilos that week.
