I'm sending warm breezes too..it's in the 70's here! Really nice! Well, the sun is going down already and they said that temps will drop dramatically by tomorrow. Oh well.

    Casey got her bath :-)

Gail..I'm in the midst of cleaning the house, too! YUCK!

Weather alert ... it's raining in Southern California. Yes, it does happen. My Little Cheetah will be happy she gets to wear her rain coat and umbrella. Although you woulda thought I'd be dead since I didn't let her buy another umbrella the other day ..... of course, it was a cheetah print umbrella!!

Now that the poll has ended I can tell you this: I was really worried that there'd be 50, 60 who knows...100 votes! LOL

Wow - I am gone for a day and so much changes....

MaryAnne & Cathy - I totally agree with you.

I love this group and I don't want anyone to feel that they have to leave us.

    I can't wait until August!

(((hugs))) to all of my sisters! Love ya!

Yep, Tracy... I don't want anyone to leave, either.

mary-anne..when are you going to see your dh? I've lost track of things.

So, Lincolnshire seems to be the place. Michele..you said something about depending on me. Do NOT depend on me as far a Chicago because I am unfamiliar with Lincolnshire as it is far from familiar territory. Makes it an adventure for me, as well.

I'm not sure what happened. Feel terrible that feelings have been hurt. Amy, I'm sorry that you have had this experience. It's happened to me in another context and I know it is painful. I will continue to think of you as I alway have . . . a lovely, inspirational, delightful young woman.

Cathy and MaryAnne . . . I do appreciate you spreading the balm of calm wisdom in this troubled place.

Haave been extremely busy at work and we have lost our internet connection at home. Hope to get it up again this weekend.

Can't take more time now to write.
Have fond feelings for all of you and hope all is well for you.

    ravdeb -
It's about 20 miles(?) north/west of Oak Park. I can pick you up and drop you off their (in my BCM - Breast Cancer Mobile). But maybe it could be sometime in mid morning as opposed to rush hour.

    ----------------------------

    Girls -
One of my gal pal's gave me a gift certificate from SpaWish.com when I had the last Mast. So I have to jump in the shower and get ready to spend the afternoon getting a massage, pedicure and manicure! I'm so excited! I rarely treat myself to those luxuries - so it is a much appreciated and badly needed retreat!

We will arrange transportation when it gets closer, but thanks for the offer, Laura.

Mary..I hate when I have no internet at home. It happened this afternoon and I thought I had lost my right arm!!!
The balm of calm..I like that!

My eyes are tired. I have a lazy weekend ahead of me.

Just spoke to my parents. They are so far away. They are on their way to Texas to celebrate my baby brother's birthday. He will be 45 this weekend. I wanted to be there. Had thought about it but good thing I didn't make any plans as I have one doctor appt after the other now...

    yuck.

Hi everyone, I am currently in New York. Isaac has recovered nicely from surgery - "turn on" for the implant is in two weeks, then intensive "audio-verbal" therapy begins. Both babies have bad colds, especially Samuel, my daughter actually took him to emerg. last night, he was feverish, listless. He was put on IV for a few hours for hydration, and sent home. I also have a cold now, feeling a bit crummy.

Ladies, I have no idea what the problems and issues on this thread are, but I have to say after all we have been through, it seems pointless to me, and unfortunate that feelings are hurt.

    Amen, Linda!
Glad to hear that Isaac is doing well. I am getting excited about his "turn on" in two weeks. I can't wait to hear how that goes. I can't imagine it. I mean..he is a baby and thinks the world is silent. Boy, isn't HE going to be in for a surprise!!! Keep us posted.

Now that the location has been decided...my dh said he will give us his Marriott Rewards Points (accumulated through business travel)!

So...I can use them to pay for a suite for the Rocktober Cheetah PJ Party. It has a kitchen, a living room and a sleeping area BYOB&P (Bring Your Own Blanket & Pillow from your hotel rooms). The windows don't open, but hey...we can't have it all! LOL There's a grocery store down the road from the resort so I thought maybe we could pitch in and go shopping there for food, snacks, beverages (lemon drop tini's), etc. What do you think?...or do I need to create another POLL? LOL

We had more snow today, it was just snowing lightly when I looked out the window at 6:00 a.m. and by the time I was ready to leave at 7:00 it was storming!! The roads were slippery, thankfully my snow tires didnt let me down again. They are worth every penny my hubby spent on them. The temps then rose during the day today and tonight its going to get cold again with wind chill of -20C. What a strange winter...

Laura - that is amazing that your husband is offering up his reward points to reserve us a suite. The snacks, drinks and ingredients for lemon drops sound like a great idea, would gladly pitch in whatever my share would be. Should we bring any music with us?

Maryanne - hope you had a wonderful trip because by the time you see this you will be home.

Rosemarie - what are you bringing that is Cheetah wear? I dont have a clue but need to bring something. Maybe a pair of shoes or sandals. Hey,cheetah underwear... Now that is a laugh, my butt wouldnt fit into them.LOL.
Did you have to shovel more snow today?

Linny - glad to hear Issac is doing well and hope that the end result of his surgery is a success when the implant is turned on. How long are you staying in New York?

Debbie444 - hurry up and book so we can start a countdown here until we all meet. I would choose the bathrobe offer. You will have a souveneir of our Cheetah fest.

Paula - that sucks that you are not feeling well, hope you are better soon.

Lots of hugs and love to you all.

    Good night from snowy Canada.

    Michele -
My biggest fear in life is driving on icy roads! I can't tell you how many times I almost had a heart attack when it snowed and I had to drive to work every day! Yikes...I was a mess by the time I got to work! The car I was driving at the time, had low profile tires, so I was like a Deer on ice...one time I pulled over on the shoulder of the highway and sobbed! LOL Looking back it's funny. So, needless to say...I feel for you! Be careful, take it nice and slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.

Music??? Sure why not! I'll check, but I'm sure there's a DVD player in the suite.

AHHH - my dining room looks like Girl Scout Cookie H**l!! I have just finished sorting 720 boxes of cookies! (well, 719, John Michael and I finished off 1 box already!) Kiersten has been throwing up, has a fever and is miserable! (Paula, I feel for you!!!)
Michele - no new snow for us. Yesterday afternoon the sun was shining and it was actually very nice out. The kids played outside with a light jacket but there are still a few inches of snow on the ground.
Btw, I've got my cheetah pjs - my dh shamed me into not posting a pic. (ya know, something about the internet, pjs, and me in my pjs...)Maybe I'll just snap a picture of the pjs and not one of me in them...hmmm. They're a little big on me but sooo comfy!! (if I keept eating GS cookies I may just grow into them!! not a pleasant thought.)
Well, off to watch American Idol (taped it while I sorted cookies)

Paula... You have my sympathies...I think I dealt with the side effects of chemo better than I ever dealt with the flu and flu symptoms! I do feel for you! Hope it goes away as quickly as it came on.

Laura..that is very nice of your dh. Yes..we should all pitch in and buy snacks and stuff for the Cheetah Brigade Party. I expect to have a lemon drop martini. Food is secondary. Good thing we can't open the windows. Opened windows and lemon drop martinis don't mix..'specially when Debbie is around!!!!

RoseMarie..your dh is funny about the pics on-line but he could actually be right! Are you still in GS Cookie H**l??

When my daughter was living in Boston a couple of years ago she had her first experience with snow (well, she was 2 years old when she lived in Chicago and played in the snow). She had access to a car to get herself to work. She drove her cousin one icey morning and lost control, luckily on an empty side street, and slid into a rock on the side of the road. Boy did THAT scare her! Nothing serious happened 'cept the car needed to be fixed and she felt really bad about that since it was her cousin's car.

See, Debbie..you are not the ONLY one!

Deb - and what are you implying exactly????? LOL
Never thought it meant i could keep the bathrobe!! I dont think so within the price!! Still trying to decide whether to go for the fluffly robe ( only while there i think) thepizza and pop or the breakfast - or just plain room. Not much difference in price, i guess it depends what plan s are. I dont want to be sat in my roon eating pizza if everyone else is off living it up in a cafe somewhere!!

Paula - i sympathise - this dratted flu seems everywhere. Are you hallucinating like Catherine was????????? that was weird. Rememebr to read the tablet packet- Rogs side effects from taking to many tablets were worse than th ecold he was trying to fight. Stick with the whisky!!
Narly weekend - Rog working this Sat so we are going to go into town and go window shopping - he hates it!!

Rosemarie - i bow to you!! Thankgoodness we dont do the scout coookie thing! Remember when i ended up doing musical instruments with them?? Well actually i was lucky - they are now asking for volunteers for a night hike - i dont have to as i have done my turn - Pheww!!!!!
