Michele..hope you are feeling better soon and the cold and hot treatments work. Hope it goes away and you won't need any more treatments at all.
That's awful about the truck. My dh would be devastated if that had happened to his truck. His truck is his life!!!
It's raining here. Poor Casey was outside and instead of knocking on the front door to come in where it is dry, she went around and knocked on the patio door and got soaking wet. I made her some chicken soup. -
Ravdeb,
Poor doggy, ours are soooo spoilt, never sleep outside at night and are indoor doggies.
Have a great day.
Michele -
Deb, not only a Rabi wannabe but the ultimate Jewish MaMa too. Chicken soup for Casey!! Send some Marys way as well!
I am spending the morning catching up with you all and will post later. -
Love, love, love the reunion pic and recounts!!! How awesome!!
Michele - hope all pain goes away quickly and hope there are no further problems!! Accidents are such a drag - glad you weren't hurt worse!
Ravdeb - love the cheetah attire! So sorry you're hurting!!!!!!
Ok - I guess this wasn't the best time to get on the computer - gotta go....
Love you all... -
Wonderful picture of Brenda and Teryn. Isn't it precious when the generations make friends of each other? Laura, you are awesome, as the adolescents say. What a thoughtful gift. The dinner sounds like there was much enjoyment for all. Wasn't it nice for the three of you to meet and talk. I can still remember how much fun it was to be with Cathy and Graycie.
Paula: I wanted to say that I thought you looked so nice in the photo you posted yesterday (I think). When we meet I would be so interested to hear the story of your life in Russia and the move to Australia. I am intrigued.
We have more snow. I know, I know . . . what's the big deal? It is Rochester, New York after all. Well, we had no snow at all up until a week ago, so winter has now arrived. However, it is sunny, cold, and beautiful as it can be after a snowfall.
I feel a little better after sleeping long on drugs. I am with Tadah, if you need them, take them. I need sleep to heal from this virus, so I go it pharmacologically. Trying to drink lots of fluids and I have a quart of hot and sour soup from our local Chinese restaurant. The red chili in that stuff makes my eyes water and nose run but somehow it makes me feel so much better when I have a cold. Thank you MaryAnne for the hot water, lemon, & honey hint. That is also soothing to my throat.
I got some cake. A friend brought me two little sponge cake cup cakes which were very cute and so tasty.
Well, now I am going to look up the movies and see if there is one we can go out to tonight after I have another nap.
Have a good Saturday everyone.
love,
Mary -
Kelly and Dave
Teryn and Laura Lou
Laura Lou -
Wow!! Everyone looks so lovely!! Brenda, aint nothing plain about you, honey, and Ms. America, Kelly, you are smashing just like Teryn.
I went to the beach today and it was wonderful. I was out last night bar hopping!! I must have put away a whole bottle of wine myself!
Welcome to nipppledom Rosemarie!! When they shrink to normal size you'll feel so girly!! -
Brenda, your hair is sooo long!! amazing! Kelly, yours too!
well, we are finally getting some really hot weather here, so I am off to the beach today.
catch you all later! -
I can't see the pics from my work computer ... Brenda, can you email them to me at terynsmom@yahoo.com
Got off the phone with Laura Lou .. she said to give her love to all and that she is really hoppin' mad that we girls didn't get up on the mechanical bull for a picture. That woulda been a good idea!!!
When I had said I wanted to get on the bull, Dave said he would wait in the truck cuz he wasn't going to watch me fall off! At first I was hurt but then I asked if he meant it and he said no but he didn't think it was a good idea. So, I didn't. The old me in past relationships would have felt like it was a dare or a challenge to my independence and I durn well would have ridden that thing!! -
Ravdeb, I have to say you look ravishing in your cheetah-wear. Very nice figure!
I get it now... ravdeb... ravishing deb! -
Oh, by the way, I am 5'4" in my 4 inch heels!! LOL!!
-
awwww,, Kelly, you and Teryn look so nice....Laura Lou is pretty cute too. Laura did such a nice job on the outfit. She is so creative. Oh, Dave looks like a nice guy too.
Ravishing Deb, I like your cheetah attire. Good idea taking the picture of yourself in the mirror..lol....Pretty soon we will be known as the cheetah sisters. I was tempted to buy some cheetah toss pillows today. They also had a cool rug but that would have been pushing it I think...lol
Something got into me today. I caught a bug, a cleaning and painting bug that is. I am on a roll so I better get back to work.
Brenda, I would like to see you in those 4 in heels.......LOL......I would never make it, I would probably kill myself. But then I would be 4 ft 8 in wouldn't I? haaaa -
Hi Sisters!
What great pics! Glad you all had fun together!!
I like this cheetah thing we have going on - I have not been successful in my hunt yet, but I am looking! Dave thinks we are all strange...... LOL!!!
Mary glad you got some cake and it sounds like you are feeling a little better.
RoseMarie - glad to hear all went well.
well, I have been on the computer too long, Dave is giving me that look....
Hope you are all having a good weekend!
(((hugs))) -
Okay...couldn't resist...you know I drop by once in awhile to see how the Rocktober Ravishers are doing...and I wanted to show you what I found...
Ha ha haaaaa ha ha haaaaaa!!!
AND I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE Vegemite! I lived in Dalby, Australia when I was a little girl and I ate it on toast every morning for breakfast...I still love it! It's definitely an acquired taste and a little goes a loooong way BUT it's yummy!
So, hope you are all amazing...I'm so glad some of you got together! It must be powerful being able to meet in real life the people you have such a connection with online!!
Hope everyone is having an amazing weekend...hugs to you all,
Peggy -
Peggy..OMG..that is GREAT! Love the pic!!!
Kelly..you and David look terrific together. You are beautiful! And your Teryn with her new doll..wow.
They think I'm nuts about the new cheetah stuff. My daughter could NOT believe I bought those socks! And she is further dismayed that I'm on a hunt for cheetah jammies!!! I'm enjoying it, though.
Had to take that pic myself since nobody seems to care about my cheetah socks!
Have a good Sunday. Hope you get all that cleaning and painting done, Gail..then you can come here and help me! My son cleaned out his room, redecorated, and threw bags of stuff down here in my studio!!! -
I got my hair tied up yesterday, she did a good job. She couldnt believe how curly my hair was. My hairdresser suggested using little clips to accessorize my hair while it is going through the growing out stage.
Victoria - dont dismay I couldnt wear cheetah pj's unless they came in "hot flash" material. They would be too hot for me! Now the cheetah socks would be cool....
Ravdeb - love your socks and your mirror photo is funny, hey if no one was interested in taking a picture of your new socks ---I say taking a picture works too! My neck is a little better today but still awfully sore when I go to lie down to sleep.
Mary - hope you are feeling better. Did you get out to see a movie last night? My sister and I are going to see dream girls this afternoon.
Kelly - love the photos of you and Dave, what a nice looking couple! Teryn is a cutie. She looks so proud of her new American Doll. Where was the mechanical bull? In the restaurant? I would have gotten on it for a picture as long as it wasnt moving.LOL.
Paula - soak up some warm weather for us. This is obviously winter here in Canada. We had freezing rain and snow last Monday and the snow has remained on the ground due to cold temps. When I take the dogs out for a walk I look like an eskimo all bundled up.
Tahdah - enjoy the beach weather while you can. Winter is here to stay for awhile although late this year.
Rosemarie - glad to hear the surgery is done and you are recovering nicely. Thanks for your kind thoughts.
Gracyie - its funny both you and I had tons of energy yesterday, although I didnt paint anything just did alot of errands and took the pups for an 1 1/2 hour walk to tire them out.
TracySeattle - tell Dave that we are on the lookout for cheetah hats and see how he reacts?
Peggy - you crack me up and are always so funny with your sense of humour. You seem to be able to find anything and everything on the net. The pjs are cute!
Have a great Sunday all my sisters.
Michele -
Michele, I am clueless too about tied up......I am with you on the cheetah pj's.......I would have to get a nightgown with no sleeves. Let me know how you like "Dream girls" I hope I still have energy today as I have a lot more to do. 1 1/2 hr. walk .WOW...you did have a lot of energy . Too cold for me to go for that long and I think we have pretty much the same weather.
Ravdeb, your son sounds like mine. When he used to clean his room he would put all his bags of stuff he didn't want in the hall closet or the computer room. It used to drive me crazy.
Tracy, Your Dave sound's like my dh with the cheetah stuff.
Peggy, Where did you find the picture of the cheetah pj's? Do they have any negligees? Tracy, Dave might like that.....lol
How come no pictures of Laura? How long were you at the restaurant? Anything like my visit with Cathy and Mary?..........5 hours.....OMG....That had to set a record.
Wishing everyone a nice day!
Gail -
Victoria/Graycie
OMG that's too funny I actually typed tied up, I mean tidyied up (neater).
Have a great day, I'm off to continue laughing at my own thoughts....
Michele -
Michele, That is funny........Now you got me laughing. I thought maybe your curls were out of control and you needed them tied up.....lol...Or who know's maybe you wanted little tied up ribbons all over your head...haaaaaaa...OK, now I am getting silly.....
-
Lol - wasn't sure about the tied up hair either!
It's SNOWING!! FINALLY!! (I was ready to move back to Florida!!!)
and...of course, more pics!!
Here's Justin
A picture of our street!
Mike with the snowblower - which kept blowing snow into his face - (we don't know what we're doing up here!)
Peggy - great pic!!
My dh doesn't "get" the cheetah stuff either - "You're looking for what? Why?" Hee hee! -
Okay..I'm back. You guys make me ROFL! Ravishing Deb..hmmm Brenda...that is a switch from ravdeb!
I should mention that the rav is not pronounced the same as in the word ravishing...it is pronounced like a short "o". BUT..I STILL think ravishing deb has a ring to it!!!!
I love the snow pics, RoseMarie. I miss the snow. I mean..I'm not sure I want to live in it anymore but I haven't seen it for 20 years! The snow here doesn't count. The ski area up north was closed because of all the snow..roads were closed. But it will open and kids will skip school to go skiing. But the snow there is wet. It's not like the snow in the midwest...soft and flakey.
I also wondered,Michele, why you wanted to tie up your curls. I imagined those little braids all over your head!
I was never a cheetah person but now I'm becoming obsessed! I found myself going into all the stores this morning looking for anything at all that had cheetah print on it.
Today when I left the house it was raining so I didn't have my walking shoes on. But after I did my cheetah hunt among other things, the sun was out so I took a drive to the beach. Although there was a brave soul running the beach, it was next to impossible to walk on it. I got out of the car just to take a good look at what was going on. The waves were ferocious today. They were angry, crazy and high and splashing way up on the beach. The entire area where I walk was pretty much under the water. It was windy..really windy...and even in the parking lot the sand was very wet (I'm guessing that at night the waves splashed way over the aquaduct and onto the parking lot that has asphalt. It was really something!
Amazing how many cars were lined up watching the waves. As I left more cars were coming. It's really a free show. Lovely... -
There are no pics of Laura because my camera settings are way off!! I could not get the flash to work properly. It keeps flashing too bright, so the faces are whited out or flashes but I still have a black picture. I am really frustrated with this camera. I am going back today to Best Buy.
-
That's too bad Kelly. I would go back too....
Boy, you can see I am bored, I am on here every 5 minutes. Well, not quite. Actually, I am busy, I am waiting for my paint to dry so I can do another coat. -
Rosemarie, love the snow pics! See, I would love to live in the snow if I had someone who would do all the snow shovel stuff! Oh, and I would not want to drive in the snow either. So, if California could just have pretend snow days where all the shops are closed, work is closed and school is off and you must stay inside for 3 days ........ my idea of paradise!!!!!
(Note to Graycie, see I didn't mention no power ...... I am sure in real life snow days probably aren't fun!!) -
Hey, taking a break from football.
We did go out last night. Had a nice dinner and saw the movie "Night At The Museum." Very funny and good story. Very clever idea to have the exhibits come to life at night. We love the Museum of Natural History so it was fun to see the place again, although I'm sure much of it was a movie set made to look like the real museum in New York City. It's a good family movie so you can feel secure taking kids to see it.
Feeling better today, as long as I don't get to coughing. Very cold here today.
So enjoy following all your doings. Graycie: waiting for paint to dry? Nothing better to do? Haven't looked for cheeta wear yet but certainly will be on the watch. I do enjoy you all very much.
love,
Mary -
Winter has set in here too. It has been cool but nice and sunny yesterday.
Rosemarie I love the snow pictures, looks like here.
Graycie - you can now come and paint my downstairs bathroom for me, hee hee:) I got hair dye on the wall and it wont come off...
I took a picture in my new Rocktober Girls Tshirt courtesy of our sweet Laura. Also a few puppy pictures, she's growing fast and one of my handsome hubby in his firefighter dress outfit.
Happy a good evening everyone.
Michele Wenz -
Gail...
Here's one for you and dh lol...
Okay ladies, I'm leaving now. Take care!
Hugs
Peggy -
Oh, that is TOO funny.....Why is that bringing back memories??? I think I may have had one like that once.....lol.....dh no way, he wouldn't be caught dead but I think he would like the one on me.....Of course, I wouldn't look like that....lol
Michele, How was the movie? Your tied hair looks nice, puppy is cute and your right, your husband is handsome.
As far as painting, I'm sorry you are on your own....just kidding, I would do it for you if I lived closer. No, I will take that back. I would help you.......lol -
Now I am going to sew. That's Laura's fault..lol
She put the idea in my head. So I decided to get my sewing machine out and make the door panels that I was planning on making months ago. Now if I could just find my straight pin's...
Rosemarie, I forgot to say that you look like you live in my neighborhood with the snow. Except, you have more than we do. -
Gracyie - Dream Girls was fantastic. Jennifer Hudson sings her heart out and deserved to win the Golden Globe Award. Beyonce is so beautiful and a wonderful singer as well.
Peg - again, you amuse me, if I could fit into that cheetah wear my hubby would love it. I may get one leg in it.LOL.
