Wasn't a huge fan of Blake's but I LOVE Chris Daughtery, got him on the ipod.

I also loved Fantasia's version of Summertine - she sure can sing!!

How about Clay Aiken????  Love his voice - but he got a ittle strange for me with the different hair styles!!

I think the final 3 will be the 2 David's and Brooke.

Hey Karen - thanks for asking about DH - he's on to round 3 this Thrursday!

I saw that Blake guy on Ellen, too.  I didn't care for the song he did.  But I didn't watch the season he was on so I really don't know him too much.

I really like Daughtry, too.  I liked that Bo Bice but I didn't think his album was very good and then he fizzled out it seems.  I cant wait to see what David Cook does.

I think SLH has it right and those will be the top 3.  Nicki, Jason is cute but he has to step it up or he won't be there long.

I read that Syesha is taking a BIG risk tonight.  The paper said she is planning on singing Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You".  American Idol suicide.

And I liked her so much!

ut oh....  that sounds like trouble with a captial T ...   can't believe that Syesha would do that ...  i hope she spins it up and makes it something truely unique ...

I Will Always Love You IS a Dolly Parton song.  Whitney Houston did a remake of it.

I think the 2 David's and Michael rocked tonight.  I also thought Carly was good, but I agree with Simon - she needs to do something about her wardrobe.  Fo once I would like to see her wear something with sleeves!!!

It's going to be interesting to see who gets the boot!!

Angel  -- Thats what I figured --  Whitney Houston did the REMAKE of it -- SLH ( above chatter ) thought it might be an IDOL suicide song for Syesha  -- and even  Simon mentioned  -- the fact that its a Dolly's original song -- its hard to bead Whitney's version of it --  was the the brief comment to Syesha---

I really enjoyed Blake on AI last season.   He was original and talented.  I don't know that I could handle an entire CD of his though.  I also really enjoyed Bo Bice when he was on but haven't heard anything thrilling from him since.  Daughtry is awesome!  I think David Cook is even Better!

unlimited .. gotchya ... I thought Syesha did a great job on it and I really love Dolly's version of it which I thought Syesha should have stuck with.  If I understood it correctly the second half was done as Whitney's version .. which I agree is IDOL suicide since nobody can do Whitney without getting into trouble!  I think Syesha has often gotten the short end of the stick by the judges IMO!

My favorites tonight were David Cook, David A, Michael, Carly and Syesha.

Would Ramiele or Kristy just go home already!?!?!?!  I think Simon is thinking the same thing!

Wow. Bon Jovi and Daughtry.  I'm jealous!

Tonight's show:  David & David were great.  And I still like Michael.

Jason was good.  Don't you think his hair would be uncomfortably heavy?

Carly also good.  I don't like it when Simon criticizes clothes.  It makes me cringe.

Brooke loves to interrupt her critiques.

I hope Syesha isn't in the bottom three, but she may be.  It should be in the Idol Book of Rules, DON'T SING WHITNEY!

Ramielle, pack your bags.  Kristy, we'll give you one more week.

Char and Sally, I'm excited to see the show tonight and we have really good seats.  There are two restaurants at the HP Pavillion so if you eat at one of them, you get in early and don't have to wait in line for hour for the show to open so we bite the bullet and pay for the overpriced dinner but at least we're not waiting in the cold.

I agree that David and David were great, I didn't like Michael's choice of song.  Jason did a better job than last week and Carly was good but Simon is right - her style of dress is not very good.  Syesha did good but no one can sing a Whitney song like Whitney so it's never a good idea to sing one of her songs.  Some country label will pck up Kristy because she had the look last night even though I don't think she was that good against everyone else.  I think Ramielle is gone.

I'm agreeing with all of you.  I just adore David A.  He is such a cute kid.  I didn't think David C. did as well as in the past few weeks.  I had to laugh at the obvious "interview" about his arrangement choices (nice way to get the guy off the hook.  Now he can move on and stop all the "scandal" comments about plagarizing).

Ramiele and Kristy Lee are ok in the group songs, but as solos, I just can't handle either one.  Please, Ramiele, go home already.  She doesn't even look like she is having fun-I think she has decided she hates being there since Danny left.

I loved Michael's song-I think he is growing by leaps and bounds now!

Syesha did a really good job-I liked her arrangement a lot.

Carly-I felt awful for her.  How dare Simon criticize her wardrobe that way?!?!? I could tell she felt attacked.  She did a nice job.

Brooke-I know a lot of you don't like her, but I truly think she isn't trying to be a pain in the a** when she interrupts.  I think she is trying to calm the booing audience down when they try to boo the judges comments.   I don't think she is really intending on being pushy.

It's getting better and better each week!!!!

Okay my chikidees... I am running late.

Very sad to see Eze man go last week.

    Last night, Country Night (yikes):

    Archuleta: good,... just good.

Castro: okay dude, do something new, even thou I love looking into his baby blue eyes when they are opened (again old enough to be my kid).

Cook: Dude, I am so going to buy your CD.  Awesome job.  You rock and are cute too!

Johns: Okay, that is what I have been waiting for (even thou you can still push it more)... he brought it home!!!!!!!!  And looking at his delicious well designed pink lips and beautiful teeth didn't hurt either... loved it.

Malubay: too young, not ready, go home, home, home...

Mercado: pretty girl... don't ever take a BIG song like that one, you w/ never make it your own and you w/ be compared.  Home too, sorry girls, I know you like her.

Smithson: OMG, she gives me the shivers... I cried b/c she took me back to the 80's (when I first came to this country) w/ her sound alike voice to Ann Wilson of Heart... please do more Heart stuff... I miss Ann Wilson and her band.  And Yes, the clothing has to change...

    White: okay... something was off.

    Hey everyone....

Okay last night ..David Cook fantastic again, they want him to be as good as last week..Duh..they  can't just keep comparing him against himself.. He really is great. He didn't start as my favorite, but man I just love his sound.

Brooke who is one of my favorite, I think sounded GREAT  with Jolene, which is kind of a boring song of DP, the Jolene, Jolene, Jolene over and over again.. Her smirking, kind of smile thing going on while they comment on her though is starting to get to me,  shes going to pounce one of these days I see it coming...Still love her sound ..

David A. Wow his voice last night was beautiful..I loved it

Carly, sounded great too, but her clothes are terrible, someone should tell her before hand not Simon on stage...She really needs to wear more clothes on top..Too pale , and too much tat showing.

Syesha I think she sounded great too,,Taking on Whitney is always a mistake, because once you hear a song sang by Whitney it is forever in your memory, hard to hear someone else sing it.. BUT I think she did better than most, I would love to hear her sing more,, hoping she is going yet.

Ohhh my poor Jason.. I think he will be in the bottom 3 again. He hasn't done anything different in weeks..Gosh I love that face...He could play Vinnie Bobarino in the remake of Welcome Back Kotter...

Kristy, well this was her best week , her voice actually sounded great too BUT nothing compared to the rest of them..Bottom 3

Ramielle,, bottom 3 going home finally I hope, please put this girl out of her misery, I agree with Whoops , she isn't having fun!!!

I like Michael but didn't like this week at all,, The judges all seemed to like him, but I think if he was one of the first to come out on stage I think they would have reacted different, I thnk they were so negative last night that by the time they came to him they were alittle too kind..I think he has sounded much better..Didn't like that sound at all for him..

Okay Paula's word of the night was GLORIOUS  ,,she said it for aleast 4 people.. Simon seems to hate country music, so why have Dolly Pardon on as a mentor??? He isn't commenting on their singing anymore as much as the whole package, the band and clothes etc. It really has changed since the first years , they could never have been able to play an instrument on stage, only singing ability was judged...

It would be interesting to see the first year  top ten performances, against these kids...I think they have gotten so much harder on the judging, I think these kids are much much better than most of the original 10 , except for of course Kelly...

        Until tonights show..Hugs KLynn

don't care for brooke.....she reminds of a 60's singer (which I usually like) but just something about her bugs me, something jsut seems false to me.  the dredlocks guy is cute but I don't think he's as strong a singer as the rest. I also don't care for carly..I think she's way over-rated. rocker david is growing on me. I didn't care for him at first. my 10 yr old dtr loves him tho' (she also loves daughtry LOL). young david is my fav tho' . he has such a smoothe sounding voice.

I've gotta say I love Dolly Parton.  She is a great comedian!

    Dolly Parton quotes:

"If I see something sagging, dragging or bagging, I get it sucked, tucked or plucked."

"I'm not offended by dumb blonde jokes because I know that I'm not dumb. I also know I'm not blonde."

"Plastic surgeons are always making mountains out of molehills."

"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain."

"You'll never do a whole lot unless you're brave enough to try."

''When I talk to a man, I can always tell what he's thinkin' by where he's lookin'. See, if he's lookin' at my eyes, he's lookin' for intelligence. If he's lookin' at my mouth, well, he's lookin' for wit and wisdom. If he's lookin' anywhere else except my chest... he's lookin' for another man.''

''When my husband said, 'Let me see your boobs,' and I had to put my skirt up, I thought I better get 'em lifted."

ON HER HUSBAND, CARL, WHOM SHE MET AT THE WISHY-WASHY LAUNDROMAT IN 1964, ON HER FIRST DAY IN NASHVILLE
''You know Carl is not the most comfortable person to be around show business. He can't relate to it. I think he's seen me perform only once. But thank goodness, I've seen Carl perform hundreds of times. And millions of times he's come back for an encore. And he's no stranger to a standing ovation. If it's standing, I give him an ovation.''

"That I can look totally artificial and be totally real is perfectly fine with me.''

Does anybody else think that Paula downs a couple valium with a vodka shot before she goes on the show?  She seems to use the same words over and over.  "You're special, you're unique, your sound, it was glorious."  Hello?  Who uses the word glorious anymore?  She seems to me to be a broken record to me.  I can see why Simon rolls his eyes or turns away or stares at her when she talks.

    Great show last night ...

I loved David C and David A !!! Their performances were outstanding. I also reallly really liked Carly - and hate how rude Simon was about her clothes ... Syesha has a great voice  - but cannot compare to Whitney ... she shouldn't be sent home yet though. Michael John was pretty hot last night too.

I'm not sure what I think about Brooke  - I like her voice .. but don't like her personality - there's something that seems fake... not sure what exactly ... but I am not a huge fan of hers.

I like Jason but am getting bored with his same old thing over and over again.  I think his performance last night was one of his better performances - but he's not in the same league as the David's and Carly.

Ramiele -  gosh - she just needs to go home.

Kristy - yeah - she did good last night (for her) -  but again - she's in a totally different league.

Ramiele needs to be the one to leave tonight.

It seems like the consensus is that David A., David C, Carly and Michael are really the best of the group and that is exactly where I fall too.   I agree that Ramiele, besides not being great is somewhat aggravating and Brooke although I liked her alot in the beginning is not holding her own.  Re; Kristy, Jason and Syesha - I don't think any of them will be there in the end.  Kristy seems one-dimensional with the country and Jason just seems too laid back in his performances.  Syesha is really very very pretty but I don't think singing is her thing.  JMO

Did you guys hear that David Cook went to the hospital after the show?  He was having palpitations, and his blood pressure was sky high.
Turns out he has a brother with cancer who is going through a setback.

I also read that Elliot Yamin's mom died yesterday.  OMG.  I just posted about her not too long ago.   I'm so sad for him.

No big surprise,,, but you have to feel sorry for her , she seemed so sad...

I don't understand what Paula saw in her, she really seemed to like her talent...She over did the comments for her, unless she was trying to make her feel better all these weeks.. Talk to you all soon..Hugs KLynn

I was surprised by ramielle leaving. I thought for sure either kristy ot syesha would go. that kristy must have a huge folowing of consistent voters to have dodged it so many times.

now more than ever I think that brooke is annoying. she was crying when she got put in the bottom 3 and said mostly it was because of the kids on idol gives back. c'mon girl, just admit that it's because you're in the bottom 3. I feel like she's trying to come off as some goodie/ angel type to get votes.

glad to see david cook back and looking well. does anyone know how old his brother is and what type of cancer he has?
