Ugly but cute!

Kind of makes me think, Lisa. Do you have some sort of image on your profile that could be doing it? Have you tried removing Oliver to see if the symbols will go away? I don't want Oliver gone (he's so cute and Chase would be heartbroken), but I'd be curious to see what would happen if you removed him. It's just so weird that they only appear when you use your computer from home.
Hugs,
Karen

Hi Sue
! Hi Lisa , Karen , Mia , Lucy , Jane , and Ulla! Countin' em down now Lisa! But why do you have to start fasting tonight? Thats a long fast. I was told to eat light the day before , and fast after midnight. Oh well , that really doesn't matter in the scope of things. I just know , you will want lots of ice chips when you wake up! I know when I was finally able to get lorne' dunes and coffee , I thought it was a feast.lol You are gonna be just fine Lisa. Tell Olivia to feel free to call me. I know you will be in lala land for a few days. Gosh , I'm gonna miss you! Hurry and get home asap!xxxx
Sue you got snow! I bet the boys were glad to see it. Sorry you lost control on the way to work. Thats always the scary part , driving in it. I hate to see you fired Adam. But he is young and likes the clubs , and the two don't mix. He will be fine. Hopefully , it will open his eyes to the real world. And hopefully , he will get his priorities straight.
Yes , Zippy will have to have the yougurt lid!lol What a sweetie.xxxx
And whats wrong with "cremated or nuked"!lol
Mia , a massage sounds wonderful. Yes gb , we all should have one!xxxx
Hi Ulla , I read the artical. First I'd like to say , I glad they are looking at all aspects of life and our beings to find a cure for cancer. That being said , I don't agree with the article. To many little ones dy of it. They are not old enough to have stress and manifestations of emotional problems and such. One day they are healthy little tots running around , then boom , they have leukemia and are gone. It seems like a doc that has access to 25 bootface suffering people and five years time on there hands come up with all kinds of different findings. Drink coffee , don't drink coffee , drink alcohol , don't drink alcohol , whatever the study is , they seem to have another that counter claims its findings. To me , it is very much a disease , that is within the cells and there is a mutation of them and then it starts. I don't think personality has anything to do with it. But thanks for sharing Ulla , I like reading different articles. Makes a person think!xxxx

gb , Ground hogs day always makes me chuckle. They say if "Phil" sees his shadow , it supposedly scares him and he hides in his hole for 6 more weeks. And we then have six more weeks of winter. The funny thing is , spring is six weeks away no matter if Phil is a weenie when he sees his shadow or not!lolol
-
Oh , I wanted to ask you all , except for Lisa , I know you are at work , but can everyone see the pic of Bill Murray and the gh?
-
Well said Melody. I am actually keeping a file of newspaper clippings on all the things that cause cancer. One day I will take them all out and line them up - and I bet some of them will contradict each other!
We had a very interesting talk at the Breast Centre about how cells mutate. It is a really complicated process and backs up the idea that cancer is caused by a multitude of factors - not just one thing - like coffee or alcohol.
Jane
-
Yes - the pic is there Melody. I didn't click on the second pic to get it enlarged because a warning window popped up and I thought I shouldn't risk it. I am on a Mac and they don't get viruses much but I like to be careful anyway.
Funny about the 6 weeks and spring due then anyway - well - it's true, isn't it!
I watched a beautiful show on tv last Sunday night called "Big Sky Bears". It was about a mother black bear and her 2 cute little cubs - Archie and ...? It was set in Montana - I don't know how they managed to shoot it - the bears were either semi tame or they had really good telephoto lenses.

Oh ladies , I just have to share with you. I made a big crock pot of bean soup. This time I tried smoked turkey wings to cook in them. The aroma in the house is wonderful. I just took the wings out , they are huge! I will let them cool and then strip the meat off and put it back in the pot. OK , well my dinner is done for the next couple of days!lol
-
Oh Jane , I love shows like that. I'll keep my eyes open for that on the telly. I want to rent one called Two brothers. Its about two little tiger cubs. Have you seen that one? Its been around for a while. But I haven't seen it on tv yet. So I will rent it. If I remember.
I agree with you dear Jane , cancer I feel is caused by a multitude of things. I just hope they find the cure soon.xx
-
Yum! I love bean soup. In winter I cook a lot of soups and one pot meals - so easy and nutritious and they seem to develop more flavour over a couple of days. The turkey wings would really add some great flavour.
Jane xx

Lisa, I hope you really enjoy eating tonight! Eat up big! You are going to be starving by Monday morning. It does seem an awfullly long time to have to fast. Your poor tummy will certainly be empty. So glad that Olivier will either ring or come on here to let us know how you are. We will all be in the operating theatre with you - in spirit!
Jane. xxx
-
Stop Melody!!! I LOVE soup--any and all kinds. That sounds really yummy. You're making me hungry!
xoxoxo
Karen
-
Oh Jane , you made me chuckle.lol I would love to have "Oliver" ring me , the little sweetie. Yes Lisa , we will all be with you.And yes , live it up tonight , naked margaritas for everyone!
-
Well Karen , come on over and have a bowl or two...
-
I had soup for lunch already today, and I'd have it again for dinner. My dear mommy brought me some of her homemade lentil soup with german spaetzel in it. Yum! She makes wonderful bean soup too. Ok. I have to stop talking about it now. Darn steroids are making me ravenous again even though everything tastes like butt.
Love to all,
Karen
-
Mel - I've heard of that one about the 2 tiger brothers - I think it has been on here but I missed it - I must try to hire the dvd.
gb
-
I'd hop on a plane in a second to come have soup with you, Mel! I wish we weren't all so far apart.
-
Ooops! Typo - I meant Olivia!
-
Oh Karen ,lol , like butt.lol Hey , gb , jump on the magic elevator , pick up Karen on your way , come here , have some bean soup with me and then we'll take the magic elevator to Lisas' and have some naked margaritas with her!
Karen , your moms soup sounds devine. Moms really do make the best everything.
-
Blast! It's just started to rain again and I was going to try to mow the lawn. It has been such a wet summer. I would love to have one fine, dry, sunny day - even if it was hot.
gb
-
I'll just look up the magic elevator timetable and see when the next one arrives! I'm in for some bean soup and naked margaritas!
gb
-
Yes gb , jump on and come on over! You can't mow the lawn , so lets have fun! I remember days like that in the summer , I would get home from work , thinking I would mow , and boom , it would start to rain!

wow sisters..
i cant leave this thread more than 2 hrs ..to come bak and c u made a long page of posts,,,,
love to read all ur posts ..u make me feel really good..
home alone again..yppiiii i made it and convenced hubby to stay with his friend for the weekend,,,,,
dear mel..i dont agree with the article too..i even thought the same about the children having cancer..
but there r 2 points that i loved to share with u ...one of them is the idea about how the body developes the bootface while the immune system do nothing to those badlly behaving cells,,,
the other thing that i send it to dear sue ,,,wen it was mentionning the name of the disease and its effect on us,,,thats why i mentioned sue and the name bootface ,,,,
i felt ;like that this article made me think deepere about the disease nature and how to deal with it,,,,
dear lisa ...go girl...eat big and start ur celebration about ur new girls,,,u will be fine honey,,
sisters....u know wat???i do love you so much....
dear sue thsi is how i imaginning zippy waiting for the youghart lid
-
I should have gone for a long walk this morning - I need the exercise - but told myself that I would mow the lawn instead. Well, now I will have to walk in the rain. Luckily I bought some Crocs on Friday so I will try them out - they are perfect for this sort of weather.
gb
-
Oh Ulla , that is to cute! I bet that is just how Zippy looks when he sees or smells the yogurt!
-
oops i got lisas symbols too wen i sent the pic,,,lisa u need to try dear karen suggestion and c if the symbol will go if u took sweet oliver pic away,,,
dear sisters ,,i am thinking loads about karyll...she is in my mind all the time ....
i hope she is fine and will be able to post....

i would love to share u with this yummy soup....
-
Oh yes Jane , I bought a "knock off version" of them last summer , and they were great for when I watered the flowers or washed my car. Boy , you sure are making me miss summer!
-
Great Ulla , just hop on the magic elevator , and get over here! Then , we all go to Lisas for drinks!
-
Ohhh...too cute Ulla! My cat used to love yoghurt lids too. And when he was a kitten, he used to like corn on the cob! In fact he would grab it like a bone and growl over it! He didn't like sweet biscuits though.
I missed the part about the name of the disease - I read the article very quickly. Must go back and read it again. Did you read the one on the link I posted? It said that personality and attitude has nothing to do with cancer - they did a study on a huge number of people and there was no link between outlook and developing it.
xxgb

oh my...lots of posts...and you are all having fun...eating..drinking..!!
Come on over...drinks for everyone..celebrating the new"girls"...haha.
I got a recipe for a lentil soup from one of the threads here...I may make it tomorrow...I need to keep busy to not think about food!
Karen...I don't think Olivers's pic has anything to do with my symbols..cause wouldnt' they show up on this computer too?
I had the people from this site clear all of the ones in my profile..look..they are gone!! She said that they should be gone from my posts too, but they were there yesterday. I will email and deal with that later.
I love the little pic of zippy running around ulla..now that showed up here..and so did Phil (groundhog) that Karen put on.
I do wish we had a magic elevator!! I would love to have you all over to my house.
Jane...haha...I can just see my little Oliver picking up the phone to call Mel...haha...I knew what you meant!
Oliver is going to miss me. But my dear friend, the same one who I am going to see tonight, is so very happy to have him! She is very excited!
Well..I am going to leave work early tonight.
xoxo
Lisa
