As promised...here are a few pics from my darling Grandson's 3rd b'day.
First one is of the cake I made him. I think it turned out really well.
This next one is of the two of us.
-
whoops...I forgot one more.
This is just a cute one of my little buggaboo! He is feeling shy, because everyone is singing to him.
Gosh...I am so blessed!! I just love him to pieces!
Hope you are all doing well. Sue..you are off, so you are hopefully sleeping the day away! You need it!
My appt with my breast surgeon went well. She assured me again, that my ps is so good, and does beautiful work! The whole office staff, loved my "new" hair! I told them....I just love having hair..haha.
Off to get some things done, on my day off. I work at 4am tomorrow till 12:30pm..so I will be in bed early!
I am mailing my wig off today (finally) to a women on here who needs it.
Love to you all!

What great pics, Lisa! Matthew is such a beautiful boy! You did a great job on his cake. I could never pull off something like that--I try to be artistic, but it just doesn't work for me. I'm glad to hear that your appt with the surgeon went well. Did you show her the cut on your leg? How are you feeling today? Still feel like you're coming down with the crud? I hope not.
Karyll, I'm so sorry that you're having to wait around until Tuesday to find out what the deal is with your liver. Gosh, I hate the waiting around with a passion! I'm feeling encouraged since reading what Ulla had to say. It may very well be that your symptoms are a result of an allergic reaction to the Taxotere. I'm so fortunate to be tolerating it so well. Hang in there, girl! I'm praying for you and sending huge hugs your way {{{{{{{{{{Karyll}}}}}}}}}}}.
Valerie, I'd love to read the book. I'll pm you my address. Thanks so much for the update on Valsul. She is such a strong lady! Let her know she's in our thoughts and prayers--though I imagine she comes here and reads all of our posts. Love you Valsul!!
mjmitchell, thank you so much for sharing your inspirational story. I just know you'll be around for many, many years to come.
Hello to everyone--Sue I hope you're resting, Poppy, gb, Ulla, Melody, Shirlann, Wren, Mia, Angie and anyone I may have missed.
Love and hugs,
Karen

Thanks Karen. Yes, it is weird...I feel much better today! The doc said leg is ok. Just keep neosporin on it with bandaid. About the cake...it is the only time I use my artistic talent. I should do more, at least sketching..and not just with icing..haha.
Valsul...we love you and are praying for you!! We miss having you here.
Karyll...I do think you are dealing with a reaction. That is what we will pray for.
I will check back in to see how our Sue is.
Hello to Mel, Shirlann, Mia, GB, Poppy, Ulla..and all the rest!
xoxo

Hello Everyone xxx
We are all having bumpy rides of late...or is that just my stupid foggy mind!!

AE... Thankyou so much for updating us on Valsul...you are such a tower of strength to everyone here...I personally would have found some of the trials so much more problematic if it wasnt for your "get on with it " phrase ...lololol....thats what I need ...laughing at you fondly ...lolol...

Hi Sue! I'm glad you got some good rest--and even went outside to clean your car! Good for you!
My hair is already coming back in. It looks so strange! I think it was Karyll that said it looks like duck down. When it's backlit, it glows! So funny looking! My head has been sweating a lot under my hats and do-rags (I've given up on the wigs--HATE them), because of my hot flashes. The hair ends up all matted down underneath. Yuck!
Hang in there Sue! You'll get through this nightmare. This time next year, we'll all be feeling well and healthy again.
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Sue...glad to see you are feeling a bit better. I know you cleaned your car...but just take some time to relax..put your feet up with a cuppa and zippy...and take time for SUE!! Please!!
Thanks about the cake. I was a little nervous doing scoop...but I think it turned out well. I have been told before, that I should make and sell cakes. I don't think that is something I would really want to do. Something to think about though.
Gosh that pic of me looks horrible! I look like I have a red eye, and one yellow tooth!! haha...well, I don't..it must have been because it was a blurry shot.?? Oh well...
Sue, your hair will be coming back in soon. I am not sure if your cmf, causes hair loss or not. Mine, like Karyll and Karen, started to come back in while I was on Taxotere. It did come out a little towards the end of the 4 tx, but very little.
Yes..Karen...it is like duck "fuzz" ..that is what I called it!
Sue, I do treasure my Matthew!! I feel so very blessed that he is in our lives, and with such a wonderful loving family. When we were singing happy b'day...there sitting next to him was my dad his great grand-pa, and my dad had tears in his eyes. So proud, and so happy that everything in that situation 3 yrs ago, turned out so wonderful!!
I love my Dad soooooo much!! I miss my Mom!

New names to remember...oh no!! haha. Lucy and Janie!! Love it!
Sue, I spoke to Onebadboob (Jane) on the phone for almost 3 hrs today. She is wonderful!! She called me to give me tips on my upcoming surgery. She had the same one last August immediately after her mast. Anyhow, we were talking about you, and your tx's. She had cmf also. She said...your hair will start to grow back, she did not lose her hair on cmf. Also, she said it's much easier than the red devil. It will cause some nausea, but you will not be as tired. Her hair thinned a little bit, not much at all. She said that by day 3-4 after tx...you feel good again!! I thought that was all good news for you!!
I just finished dinner, and going to relax a bit before heading off to bed. Working at 4am...so getting up at 2:15!
xoxo

There I done one ...get lost bootface !!!!!

THanks everyone the word are encouraging. I haven't thrown up so that is a good thing I guess according to up above. Just the pain, mostly when I move which I guess is why I am lying down a lot... and this horrid bloated feeling that makes me feel like I either need to burp or fart a lot and nothing happens. I looked up and anatomical picture today and the pain when I push on it (WHY do you we push on it when it hurts?) is right in the liver, pancreas, stomach and gall bladder regions.SO apart from the fact that liver is wonky, then I guess it could be any of the above affecting it. The one good thing about it being a Tuesday appointment is that I won't have to wait over a weekend to hear what he has to say, lol.. I hated that so many of my 'tests' were on Thursday, and I always had to wait till Mon to hear anything.
Anyway, thanks again - I am going to girly friends house tomorrow and she will spoil me rotten....I am taking my laptop though .. hehehe
See ya
Karyll

Oh man, you stay out of this happening sight for ONE DAY and look what happens? Names change, Poppy? Lisa's little darling boy is even cuter, I wish mine were little again, at least for a day, give him lots and lots of hugs, they are gone before you know it.
Sue Lovey, you sound so much better? I think the red devil is leaving. Now drink, drink, drink, get him out of your body. He did his work, now, OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!! It is England, after all.
I am now officially selling Dichroic fused glass Jewelry, I got my stuff in a shop and I am so excited. I hope all the gals there like it as well as I do.
That is my news.
AND, no one will believe this. I was awake this morning. But I had my eyes closed. My new kitty, Cleo, (she sleeps right behind my head on her pillow) reached her little paw around and as gently as a butterfly, touched my eyelid, and pulled it open. Then, she did it twice more. I know, I know, you all think I am nuts. But this is true and I can't believe it. It was so sweet.
I think she wanted me to wake up! I can't beleive it.
The reason we all got such similar scores on Ulla's test is because we all have breast cancer. Look at all the money we can save the world, we will just give all women this test, if they fall in our group, that's it! What do Y'all think? Maybe.
Oh wow, everyone take care of yourselves, be safe, keep Bootface under the house.
Love you all, Shirlann -
Wow, new names for familiar faces...
Ulla I got a score of 46 on your quiz. Isn't that interesting that so many of us have similar scores?
Sue, I like that flaming "Cancer Stinks" banner...
Just dropping by to say hello and all. I'm home alone in the evenings this week--hubs working late, so I'm grateful I can come read/post here and not feel so alone.
-
OK , Lilly is sleeping comfortably , I gave her , her pain meds. She is such a sweetie. She was soooo glad to be home , but would not leave me alone! So it was an evening with Lilly. I had to hold her like a baby and she just fell asleep in my arms.
OK , I took Ulla's test. I scored 10.psych!
Just kidding , I got 42.
Ulla , good luck tomorrow. Remember , last time to feel this awful. We're all with you honey.xxxx
Karyll , man this really sucks. When I was doing chemo , I found a lump in my armpit , ca side. Of course our minds go right to the worst. And I didn't even find a lump with my bootface. So when I did find a lump my whole being was screaming inside. BUT , it was nothing to worry about. And I hope the same for you. Sometimes these things are not what they appear to be. And especially for us. Because of this stupid bootface , its the first thing we all think of. I don't know alot about the liver , but my o/h was having terrible pain in his abdomen , he ended up in the ER , they said they couldn't find anything wrong , except his liver test was high. So he had to have test ran , but it check out ok. They think it may have been due to medication he was taking. I know your liver is like a "filter" and sometimes things don't filter through and it can cause problems. I know its hard , but try not to worry. My prayers are with you sister.xxxx Have fun at your friends house. Try to get lost in laughter and good memories. Positive vibes being sent your way.
Lisa! Your cake turned out awesome! I bet he loved it. You are very talented. The pics are great. Isn't it funny how we pick ourselves apart in pics. I can't see a yellow tooth , or red eyes. Just beautiful you! Lisa , are you having one breast recon or both? You will be just fine. Believe me , you are in alot better shape than me , my surgery took 10 hours , and I did fine. So will you. And I'm sure your recovery time will be even better. Plus , you have all your tx out of the way. I still had all that to deal with after my surgery. So just relax. Get some big shirts that button down the front. A recliner is best , to help you get up , or pillows on the couch is best for the first week. Have Olivia help with Oliver and with meals. She can bring home Subway!lol You'll be just fine. Honest.xxxx
Hi Sue
! Hope your fast asleep right now. Love the ca stinks. Burn you bootface burn! Take it easy at work tomorrow. If you get up feeling like s_it , stay home. Tom can take care of things himself. He doesn't deserve your dedication the muchca-head! Love you Sue. Yes , I feel such a close bond with you and all the ladies here. We are so blest.xxxx
Shirlann , how adorable of Cleo! What a little stinker. Shes saying , "come on mom , time to get up! Lilly sleeps on a pillow above my head too. Shirlann , I am not familiar with that jewelry. Is there a site where I can go have a look? Oh Shirlann , too funny about the quiz!lol Hope you and Walt are doing good.xxxx
Hi Wren , good to here from you. Hope all is well with you. Yes , there is usually lots of posts here to read! I know if I miss a day , I have alot of catching up to do. Hope your hubby will be home soon.xxxx
Poppy-Lucy , gb-Jane. OK , nice to meet you!lol Always wanted to stalk a Lucy... Especially if she has chocolate!xxxx
OK ladies , sorry I didn't reply to all your posts , but its 10:47pm and I have to get up at 4:30am. So off to bed with me. ttyl Melody
