Lisa xxx
I hope you had a good sleep xxx
Your pain sounds exactly like mine....I am so achey from my elbows down to my hands ...wrists etc....down my back and everywhere....I have been like this for ages but it has gotten worse with treatment...xxx Maybe it takes an age to recover from chemo ..bone wise...I am sure I read somewhere it can age bones xx
I have still got a terrible bruised like pain in one of my ribs/chest wall...when I put my coat on as I outstretch my arm it is excrutiating...and I seem to be living more and more with painkillers..I am worried sick about it expecially as... well "it" was literally on my chest wall....
Well I am so tired and weary tonight ...weary weary weary...oh dear oh dear ....
Oh such is life...
Lisa when you were sick a few days ago...well maybe you have a virus or something...this can make achey bones...is your pain a deep ache....oh my...deep ache.....I wish we didnt have to ache ....its going right through me the feeling....
I am a bunch of happiness tonight ay....I lay in bed last night ....really despondant ..thinking well this is it ....this is truly it...your cards are marked Sue .....
I am just fed up with it now....big time ... xxx
Lisa ..... maybe you need to take a few days rest....and lots of sleep... I wish I wish we could all go to bed tonight and wake up right as rain
I AM SICK OF THE TORMENT AND WORRY
Sorry .... sorry xxx

HOW THE HELL DID WE ALL BECOME SO DAMN ILL .....WHERE DID THIS NASTY DISEASE ORIGINATE FROM .....BEATS ME.... !!
-
Hello dear Sue!!
I too hate this bootface! I can't answer the question...I wish I knew how and where we got it, so we could tell others...avoid this and this and this..and then maybe nobody would ever have cancer again!
I woke up this morning at 4:30am, (someone rang my doorbell, nobody there) tired and still hurting. I went back to sleep unil about 6:45am. Got ready for work. My stomach starting to hurt really bad, I thought I may have to pull over to the side of the highway driving in and be sick. It has since gone away, but now I have a headache. I am very tired too! I think maybe I do have a bug. I am off for the next 2 days. I will rest some tomorrow.
I am planning on just a quick day trip to New York city on Monday. A few of my friends here at work are going, and visiting chinatown to get some "knock-off" purses. If I feel good, I am going along. I love little Italy, and I will visit there too and get my favorite..a canolli!
I hope you are resting dear Sue. Plopped on your bed (your sanctuary) with your b/f Zippy by your side.
Where has Poppy been?? Miss her!
xoxo

Lisa...lol...I am on my bed...but I am going for a bath in min and have my tea and then I will get Zippy...xxx
Gosh Lisa sounds like you do have something...you will need to drink plenty.
Poppy is around as she left me a funny video on Facebook today...so she is Ok ....Poppy get ya backside over here ...we Miss ya !!! LOL....
Well I got my travel insurance quote... if I didnt have boot face it would be 75 squid .... as I do have it ...the premium jumps up to a basic of 641 squid...my goodness!!
I am not sure if it is legit that you do have to be insured..I always have been....in case of loss or illness etc...it can be expensive if something goes wrong...Shirlann I will see if I can just insure for the flight....xxx
I need to shake a leg tonight and get out of this frame of mind...if I rememebr rightly I am supposed to have a period right now...but it is nowhere...maybe I am hormonal !! GRRR
I love you all xxxx and I am truly sorry we have had to and continue to endure this illness....I am really sorry for us all....and I am really sorry for all those that have lost the battle and how I never really knew much about this dreaded thing....everyone on this site is ultra brave and extremely special xxx
-
Hey, sweet Sue, they have found evidence of breast cancer in Egyptian mummies! So it has been around a long, long time.
But for you, it is gone, and you are just cleaning up your body (although it feels like you are beating up your body). Then, with rads, you will clear up the area. AND live to hold your grandchildren. I promise.
Love you sweetie, Shirlann
-
Shirlann ...I love you xxx
Do you really think I will live....I so hope I do...I have my doubts xxx
Gosh egyptian mummys...wow.....I think I may do some research...xxx
Well I brought my tea upstairs and Zippy is here ...so it looks like he will be sharing it... lol xxxx
-
Sue,
You and Poppy are on facebook, huh!? My daughters use that. I am clueless when it comes to that..haha. Glad to know Poppy is ok..still miss her though!
Shirlann..mummys..wow is right!
Sue..what is a squid? How much is that in american dollars. I would never have thought about insurance when I travel.
I do hope I feel better, so that I can fly to New York on Monday.
xoxo
Lisa
-
Lisa ...I hope you feel better by Monday...just really really rest tomorrow xxx
A squid is a quid...a quid is what British call a pound.... I think you get roughly 2 dollars or 1.9 dollars to a pound xx
I want to go shopping in New York xx
Do you know since I have had mastectomy .... I havent gone clothes shopping...it would break my heart ...I wonder if how I will get my head round it xx
I love bags Lisa...I love bags and shoes...oh god I got a really lush bag the other day ....xx
Right off for a cuppa and a quick bath .... I am missing my hair tonight

Hi everyone,
Lisa, so sorry you are feeling unwell with all your aches and pains and sick tummy. It does sound like either overwork or a bug. Hope you can really rest up over the next couple of days and are feeling better soon.
Sue, hope you have a restful Sunday. Curl up with the Zip and have a really lazy day. I hope you make a big fuss when you see your medical people next time so you can get more pain relief and hopefully see a good lymphology person who might be able to offer you some relief as well.
This weekend I am cat sitting and house sitting for a friend. She has a dear old marmalade cat called Oliver who turned 17 on the 10th January. He has diabetes and I have to inject him with insulin twice a day. He doesn't seem to mind at all - just associates it with a food reward immediately afterwards! I have just dashed home to check on my potplants and to see if I had any emails. My friend doesn't have the internet on.
Well, I'd better get back to my big marmalade boy.
Love to everyone - Lisa, Sue, Shirlann, Mama Mia, Poppy, Mel, Wren, Sheila, Auntie Em, Valsul and if I have forgotten anyone, it's just my dull brain!
gb xxx
-
Thanks gb. I hope I feel better too! I still have 4 hours before I go home! I can't wait!
How sweet of you to cat sit. My little dog is named Oliver...and that 17yr old cat was born on my b'day..small world..haha.
I have a friend who's cat has diabetes..and she has to do the same thing..2 times a day of insuline. He is good about it too..cause he gets a treat!
Sue..I love bags and shoes too! I think my youngest is the big bag nut though!! Not sure if I will spend any money on one. I have my car fixed now. It cost me about $265.00. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting! The mechanic that works here at the airport fixed it, I bought the parts. He did not want to take any money from me...but I made him! It was the least I could do, was to give him something for his work. Wasn't that sweet though?! Good people in this world!
Sue..I didn't want to clothes shop either after my mastectomy, even before. I just didnt' feel good enough about myself, and the weight. Now that I have lost it, it's a little easier too. I am waiting for after the reconstruction...then look out!! haha
xoxo

Gosh, I'm so sorry everyone's feeling so poorly today. Lisa, it sounds like you definitely have a virus. You get some good rest on your days off and I'm sure you'll be good as new for the trip to New York. That sounds like a blast! Isn't it crazy how aches and pains never phased us before all this bc bulls*@t! You just figured you had a flu bug and you'd get over it. Now every little ache and pain causes panic. God, I hate cancer!!!!
Sue, I hope you've had a nice bath and are relaxing with a cuppa. And of course your sweet little Zippy snuggled up next to you. I wish I had a cat sometimes--or at least a dog that doesn't smell so darn bad. Our dachshound has allergies and she smells horrible. Certainly not someone you'd want to snuggle with in bed. Ick!
Hugs to all,
Karen
-
awww...thanks Karen. It probably is a bug! Hate feeling bad. Right now, I want my bed, and my warm comforter, and a cup of tea..and Oliver...he doesn't smell bad..haha. He is a little cuddle bug..he loves to lay on my lap!
The weather is calling for snow in NY tomorrow and Monday...so I will kinda play it by ear. I don't want to get stuck there.
My girlfriends are taking me out for a b'day dinner on Monday night!! We are doing it a little late, since one of my friends has been in Florida this last week.
xoxo

I have to tell you, Lisa, Oliver is the cutest little thing! My son goes crazy every time I'm on this website and he catches a peek of your avatar. My dh used to live next door to a pack of yorkies and he HATED them. Those dogs yapped from the time the lady let them out in the morning until she took them back in at night. They were annoying, but awfully cute. I'm sure they fed off of one another and were just bored.
How many more hours do you have left? Three or so? Can you hear your bed calling you??
Hugs,
Karen
-
Karen,
How cute of your son! That pic was taken over a year ago, but honestly he looks the same. He is only 4.5 lbs. and his coat is still like what you see, kinda puppy like, not long or silky like most yorkies. I can see why your husband was annoyed. We got him from a breeder. The dogs she had, they barked when you first came in the home, then that was it. Oliver is really good! He does not yap at all. He let's us know if someone is at the door, or he will bark when he is out in the yard...but only until he runs up to whomever he is barking at...then his tail is wagging..he loves the attention. He is a very calm dog, laid back and sooo loving.
I now have 2 1/2 hrs left at work...yes I hear my bed callling me!
Hello to all of you sweet sisters out there!
xoxo
Lisa

I'm still here - thought I would do a load of washing - must get back to Oliver in a minute. Oh Lisa, it IS a coincidence isn't it with the Olivers and the birthdays! Your Oliver sounds like such a dear little dog. He will be a soothing presence when he curls up in bed with you sin a few hours. Please give him a squeeze for me! I'll keep my fingers crossed for no snow in NY, a rapid return to health and strength for you and great shopping spree!
See y'all tomorrow!

Hi Lisa , So sorry your feeling bad. I hope your feeling better for NY monday. Wow , that sounds like so much fun. I would love to go to little Italy. I've never been to NY. Maybe someday.
I know my aches and pain seem "more" than before chemo. And my carpel tunnel. More numbness than before. I don't know what is wrong with me today. I can't stop sleeping! I got up at 4:30am. Thats what time I usually get up for work. And I thought I would stay up , cause I have alot of cleaning and laundry to do. Well , I got one load of clothes done , and did dishes. Thats it!!! I kept laying down and sleeping. The last time , I laid down at 3 and didn't wake up until 5! Maybe I'm depressed. I just want some energy and gumption to get things done. Maybe I need to get on my treadmill , that I was suppose to start doing Monday and haven't yet. Think I'm stuck in a rut.
Hi Sue
! , Hi gb , Karen , and Shirlann. If you guys have any spare energy , send it my way OK!? lol xxxx Mel

AMERICAN IDOL STARTS HERE ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NEXT WEEk ...SO YOU MAY HAVE THE FIRST EPISODE SOON XXX
God am reet fed up as they say up north...xxx
-
Hi dear Mel!! Thanks...I hope things start getting better too!
Mel, that is exactly how I have been feeling for about a week now. I kept thinking, oh..it's because all of the holiday hustle and bustle is over and now my body is in need of sleep. But, I still feel that way! Maybe we both have a little bug. Maybe the winter blues!
Come on Mel...try and force yourself on that treadmill tomorrow morning!! Forget the laundry and the cleaning...first thing when you wake up...put on the sweats and get on there! Do you have a tv to watch while you walk? If so...put it on..watch a show..and walk, walk walk...you can do it Mel...I will be your coach!!
U know that will help you with your energy level.
xoxo

Sue...funny hearing you talk like a Yankee!! haha!
I have not even seen any promo's for American Idol..?? Maybe I have missed them.
It is funny how we are all feeling the same way. Are you still resting Sue with Zippy? What time is it there...11pm?? You should be getting to bed soon..ehh??
-
Hey you guys , I have to finish dinner. But I am gonna post a pic of Lilly to show you where she is when I am talking to you. So funny. Be right back...
-
OK , just a minute , I have to download it to my puter...
-
hey..Mel...I will see the pic when I get home...since they are blocked here..looking forward to it.
I put on a thread for ladies starting chemo this month...that I would send them my wig if they needed it. I already have someone who wants it!! Glad I can help someone out!!
-
Wow , this is taking me forever! I keep forgetting things
This is Lilly when I'm at the computer...
-
OMG Mel Lilly is edible..she is downright GORGEOUS ...blimey she must have a ginger dad and a black and white mam ....she has beautiful markings ...
Well it is gone midnight I am soooooooo fed up...I will have ten more min on this site ant then bed....
Since I got dx I feel a lot older that 38...does anyone else xxx
Much Love xxx YOUR CAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
-
I will check out Lilly when I get home!
Yes...Sue...I do feel older than 48.. I just hope we all don't look older. But I do feel older, just because of my aches and pains!
Damn bootface!
Get some rest dear Sue!
xoxo
Lisa

OMG Melody! That is the funniest thing! What a gorgeous kitty she is! I wish my dh didn't dislike cats so much. I think he had a bad experience with one of their family cats as a child. He tends to tease though, so he probably deserved a good scratch or nip!
I'm feeling less than perky myself today, girls. I've been looking at houses on reality websites and my head hurts. This house is way too small for the four of us, but the thought of moving makes me tired.
Take care, girls! Tomorrow will surely be a better day.
Love and hugs,
Karen

Thanks Sue , lilly's dad was a tabby , mom a calico. She has soooo much energy! Hey , maybe she waits for me to go to sleep and then sucks my energy out of me!!lol
Oh Sue , yes , older , unattractive , fat , maimed , not normal , I look in the mirror and wonder where I went. I feel like I'll never be the person I was before. And of course , thats true. But I feel like I've some how lost my essence. I guess I am depressed. I have reverted back to eating to feel better. Which , of course only lasts while I am eating. Lisa is right , I need to get up in the morning and get my fat a$$ on the treadmill. It seems like it is so hard for me lately to get into the right frame of mind. And its been forever since I've seen sunlight!! I picked up some vitamin D tabs. Hope it helps.
Ulla , are you out there tonight? I hope all is well with you.
Thanks , again ladies for being there. I don't know what I would do without you all.xxxxx
Sue , sweet dreams. Hope your feeling better. xxxx Melody
-
Hi Karen , I guess we all are on the same wavelength tonight. Maybe Lisas right. Maybe its the "let down" after the holidays.Plus what we all are going through with bootface. Why don't you tell "Dick" to lighten up and let you have a kitty! Men , they really know how to aggravate me. Sometimes , I wish I was on my own. Sorry Karen , I'm in a bad place tonight.lol I probably shouldn't be on here. I know your tired and don't want to think about moving. But its kind of exciting too. A new place and all. Good luck with the search. Hope we all feel better tomorrow.xxxx Melody
-
Mel...I just saw your Lilly...she is soooo cute!! What an adorable place for her to be...she knows where you are..and she figures...you have to look at her while you type!! lol
Mel...I agree with how you feel. We will never feel the same as before "C"! Darn it anyhow! I guess all we can do, is try to better ourselves, improve what we have and feel good at whatever that place may be. I know for me, I am not happy with myself, if I have on extra weight. So that has to be my goal, to lose what I can. I know I will not be as fit as I was 2 yrs ago...but I can try, do my best and then be happy with whatever I achieve. Our bodies are different, our minds are different. I do think however with more time between us and bootface..we will feel better, look at things a little less harshly and hopefully once again..be happy with who WE ARE!! Reconstructed boobs, no boobs...whatever it may be! We are here..we are strong....and we will be around a long time..to live happy fulfilled lives!
Ok..sorry...I really started to babble!
Mel...I know how you feel too about the men thing...obviously..haha. I do like being alone...but it does get lonely at times. I wish I had someone to give me a back rub, a kiss... Oh well...maybe someday.
Karen, don't stress out over moving. Just enjoy looking and if it's time and meant to be, you will find a house. But you are right, now is not the time to be dealing with all of that. What about this summer??
I love you ladies!
xoxo

Thanks for the supportive words, guys. Guess where dh is? Back on his way over to his mom and dad's house. I guess his dad is feeling ill again. Sigh.....he was just at the doctor's today and they checked him out and said his vitals looked good! This is such crap! His mom weighs well over 300 lbs and can't do much around the house. She depends on him so much. If something happens to him, she'd probably have to go into assisted living or something. I get so mad at dh, but he really doesn't need this added stress.
I've gotta go get Chase out of the tub. Thanks for always being here for me.
Where the heck is Ulla? I'm worried about her too. Didn't she have another Taxotere tx this past week??
Hugs,
Karen
