Well, my precious sisters, I would love to tell you that you won't worry about this ever again. I have had mets to the big toe, my hair follicles, and for real, I was in my dentist's office and he said, "Oh, did you know you have a lump inside your tongue?" I almost fainted. This was about a year from diagnosis. He took out the lump put in stitches, man that was a fun weekend. It was nothing. But not before I almost died of fright! All my headaches are not headaches, they are brain mets. Just letting you know that Breast Cancer is the gift that keeps on giving.
But here I am, 9 years later, driving everyone nuts around me. And you two will be here too. Most of us recover and do just fine. But it takes several years before you trust your body again.
Love you all, Shirlann

Oh, I just read all the posts. I am up for England ANY TIME, I LOVE that land. People are so nice, we got so we didn't dare stop anyone to ask directions, they would insist on taking us where we were going. So nice. If we can get enough on the same itinerary, we can get a better airfare and hotel rate too. We would be a "group". I used to be a travel agent. It can be a substantial reduction, especially if we go off season.
Wheeeeee, what fun!
All of us in England/Wales. Walt and I went to the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, and I just stood there and cried. Our whole history of the US is in this lovely island. We were riding along once on a tour bus and the guide pointed at a lovely field and said, "That is where the Magna Carta was signed". Last time we were there we rode the London Eye. And in Westminster Abbey, I ran my hand over Queen Elizabeth the Firsts casket. For Americans, this is really home.
Sigh, see, I am ready to go. I love Bath, Leeds, Windsor Castle, Salisbury, ahh, the sweet memories. Once we stayed in an inn that Shakespeare had stayed in. I got to meet James Herriott, the author of "All Creatures Great and Small". I have his pix, if anyone remembers the books.
Ahhh, I am dreaming England.
Hugs, Shirlann

No....Shirlann...I think you were reading Mamma Mia's comments about a visit to England. Not that we can't go to England...I personally am up for anything. But, if you look back on our previous pages...we have websites for homes in North Carolina..beach houses...check it out!!
-
Well, I'm feeling a bit loopy from my chemo today, and I haven't looked at any of the vacation houses you're talking about, but I'm IN ladies! I would love to meet you all and spend some time vacationing with you.
Let me look at the pictures, and I'll be back.
Hugs,
Karen
-
Oh...Karen...so good to see you!! You had your tx today...ONE MORE DOWN!! How many left...1 or 2? I knew you would be in on this!! It will be great. Have fun looking at the houses!
xoxo
Lisa

One more to go, Lisa. Yipppppeeeee! There's a light at the end of the tunnel Hey, I see one of those vacation homes in the light! They are gorgeous. How much fun would that be? Oh my gosh, we have GOT to do it! Oh, that hot tub sounds wonderful on my aching muscles. The fall actually sounds great because it will give Sue and I time to recover from our rads and everything. Sue, you are doing rads, aren't you?
This is so exciting! I'm going to have to start saving my money!
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Karen...I am sooo happy for you!! One to go...sounds soo good!! I remember, how I felt knowing I only had one more chemo!! Actually, when tx time came...I almost didnt want to do it...just so fed up..then I collected myself and reminded myself..this is it..no more!! I did not have to have rads, since I had the mastectomy and no nodes involved.
I am up for this trip!! It will be wonderful!
I have to save up too! I should get a big income tax refund....but I also need a new roof on my house!
xoxo
