    Sue,

Gone with the wind was a movie based at the time of the Civil War in the US. - 1860's.

Lassie was a tv show from the 1960's LOL!!!

Victorain times in the US where at the end of the 1800's.  At the start of the 1900's the Arts & crafts movement started, when some peopl here liked what your fellow Brit William Morris started - a more simlpe life.

    Does that make sense??

Ulla! Your pic is beautiful! I agree with Sue. Ulla , your hair is showing signs of growth , thats wonderful. Don't worry about the "fuzz" it comes first , but thats not what you end up with. In a month , especially after your last chemo tx , it will start coming in more even and thicker. And the dry skin is temporary too. It will get better. I felt just like you. But I didn't even try to look beautiful at that time. No make-up , no glasses , just a scarf. I kinda" wore it on my sleve" as they say. I was going through chemo and this is what it looks like! Is how I felt. Hang on Ulla , it really , really , really does get better. xxxx Melody

Late 1800's we wore what you wore. After all, the Victorain era came from England.  Long dresses, hats, gloves.

Google William Morris - he was a "thinker" who dabbed in design.  I'm sure you have seen William Morris-like things in your lifetime - you probably just never knew who designed it!!  He was very big in textiles.

    Hope that clears things up.
