Oh Sue. I am so sorry. This is just not fair! I am just shocked and speechless that this should happen. After all you are going through. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying that your o/h will soon be home with you and in good health.
Many hugs - (((((((((())))))))))) to both of you and your boys too.

I think our Sue and dear Ulla too, are out for the night.
It was Shakespeare, I think who said in one of his plays....
"Sleep, oh sleep, where is thy blessed morpheus?........
I have said that one a number of times.
and:::::
"Ah sleep, sweet sleep, that knits up the raveled sleeve of care.....
What a guy, quotes are all wrong, but hey, I am old. HAHAHAHA
I think our girls are gone to bed, for sure.
See you all manana, hugs, Shirlann
-
I always love your Shakespearean quotes Shirlann - it doesn't matter if they aren't word perfect - they are soothing and lovely. Thank you. I hope that our dearest Sue and Ulla are sleeping and that Sue's o/h is home soon and healthy.
Sleep peacefully all of you from Canada, US, UK, Europe and everywhere else.

I'm so glad you made it home safe and sound, gb. It must be so strange going from snowy Canada back to summer in Australia. Hope you're getting some rest--that jet-lagged feeling isn't fun.
Lisa, I'm expecting my hair to come back in really curly. It was very wavy before, so I'll probably end up with a total frizz head. Since my onc took the red devil out of my chemo cocktail, my hair has been growing back in a bit. I don't know if it's because the hair is so fuzzy or if it's the lighting in the bathroom, but I swear, it looks white!
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Thank you sweet Karen & Lisa. Great to hear that your hair is starting to grow back already Karen. You can always colour it when it's a bit longer. I am sure you will look beautiful regardless of what colour it is or how long it is. I can't believe how natural your wig looks in your photo.
My wish for everyone having chemo is that they might soon enjoy strength, peace and optimism and above all a return to permanent good health as soon as possible in 2008.
hugs,
gb

How on earth did I miss your post regarding your o/h last night, Sue? Is he ok? What on earth happened? Was he feeling poorly before he collapsed? How scary for you. I'll pray that he's ok. Please keep us posted.
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Oh Sue , I'm so sorry. Yes , please come let us know as soon as you can. I pray he is fine , that it was nothing to serious.
-
Have been thinking of you Sue and wondering how your o/h is. Praying for both of you.

Hello Everyone xxx
GOD I FEEL LIKE RUBBISH AND FLUEY AGAIN GRRRRRRRRRR....ARGGHHHH ...LOL xxx
Well last night my o/h went upstairs to the bathroom....he came down a while later...white and sweating and shaking ....and moaning real loud...then he collapsed on the chair!! Oh my god....what to do what to do.....I couldnt move him....and he was in too much pain....so I had to dial 999 and get an ambulance....and off he went...
I phoned Accident and emergency up at 2am and he had still not seen the doc...(remember England and festivities = busy hospitals) so I sent him a texty and tried to sleep....he got admitted to a ward in the early hours .... anyway the silly muppet took his car keys with him...my car was parked behind his on the drive...and I couldnt move his to get mine out...to get to the hospital....what a nightmare...
Luck turned when he was diagnosed with a kidney stone....and made it home in one piece....worse for wear with the morphine .... he has to go back after Xmas....xxx
I hope you have all had a better day....xxx
My days off are over before they have begun.....I think I will have to go AWOL and fly over to see you all...I wish!!! Roll on post treatment... xxx
Poppy 2 sleeps to go ...haha ...I only heard this saying off of a young girl at work yesterday .... it made me laugh...xxx I hope you have got the mince pie and carrot ready ... lol....I wish mine were 5years old again!
Much Love xxx
-
So glad that your o/h is now ok Sue. I have heard that kidney stones are one of the most painful things you can get.
How I wish you could get a break! Wish we could kidnap you and take you to a restful place and look after you!
I am leaving this morning to spend Christmas with my partner and his family in Sydney. Just want to wish everyone here a very happy Christmas and a 2008 that is a vast improvement on 2007. Peace and love to all.

gb ...I am glad you are home ...safe and sound...I hope the rooster isnt causing you too much earache....I am glad we dont have a rooster next door...Zippy would be in his element....When Zippy was a kitten ....I didnt bond too well with him in the first year because of the amount of birds and mice he brought home.I used to live in the countryside...and ended up with grass snakes in my house that he used to bring in...and not squirrels but just their tails!!!! UGHH....anyway he has mellowed now and I wouldnt be without him....
Why am I rambling here...lol.....I am so glad you had a great time....I hope you took many nice pictures....I loved hearing from you while you were over in Canada xxx
Much Love

gb Thankyou...I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas..and a very peaceful and happy new year.....xxx
PLEASE KIDNAP ME...!!!
We always get clips of Sydney on the UK news at the New Year...with all the fireworks going off....it looks spectacular....especially your millenium fireworks!!! ......Where does time go....I had just turned 30 then
.....I WANT ANOTHER TURN lol xxx
-
Lol! I have been so jet-lagged that the rooster (or should I say roosterS - the rooster has fathered huge numbers of chicks and a lot of them are males and while I was away, they all learned to crow!) hasn't/haven't really bothered me - I could sleep in a train station lately!
It's just as well we are going to be away from home over Christmas as the hot water system has blown up and even though it's summer, icy cold showers are no fun! Actually, it's cool here this morning and I am wrapped in a duvet. We are expecting a rainy Christmas day with a top of only 22 degrees C in Sydney.
Now I am raving.
Hugs,
gb
-
Oh my goodness for the rooster farm next door....thats atrocious ...hahaha.....
22 degrees gb....thats great news...I wish we had your weather....I cannot believe, that maybe in June, while you have your winter...we will infact probably be in the same climate knowing what the English summers are like ..lol...
I hope you and yours have a truly wonderful Christmas xxx
I will be thinking of you...all those miles away...you felt so much closer when you were in Canada...lol....but you are always in my heart xxx
-
Sue, so glad to hear O/H is ok! My ex had a bad kidney stone problem - he had to have surgery. They are VERY PAINFUL - they say it feels just like childbirth when you pass one. Tell him Aunty Em said to drink lots of water!!!
gb - Happy Christmas to you as well!! I can't believe it is 2 sleeps away as Poppy says. I love that!!
I just love the fact that I have connected with all of you. It makes this huge world we live in that much smaller.
Hugs,
Valerie
-
Honey, I swear when I posted last, your post about your OH was not there! Am I batty? I swear it wasn't, but it must have been, here I was picturing you and Ulla sleeping soundly, and you were going nuts. Yes, I have heard that kidney stones are so painful they are worse than childbearing.
Anyway, enough for now, try to have a nice Christmas, peaches, and remember, every day is a step closer to the end of this.
And the start of a new life with all these new friends! WHOOPEEE
Love you, honey, Shirlann
-
Sue...so very happy that your o/h is ok! What a fright that must have been.
GB...thank you for all your Christmas wishes!
Val...I agree...our friendships here, does make this huge world seem smalller! We are so blessed, aren't we?
Poppy and Sue...enjoy your little guys...so much fun when they are young!
My grandson asked me for a puppy for Christmas!! haha.
All of my daughters are home!! My oldest arrived this morning from Chicago!! Great to see her smiling beautiful face! Her boyfriend picked her up in Cleveland. They got in about 8am, I made them a big breakfast, and now she is fast asleep..since she traveled through the night, and didn't sleep much!!
Well..my Christmas will be complete with everyone home!! I feel so blessed!!
I love all of you here, and my wishes are for a very blessed and beautiful Christmas for all!! May the new year bring all of us good health and healing!
xoxo
