Vickie: What a beautiful afghan....I sound like a broken record, but I love each and every one of them!!

Puppy: I chuckled when you said DH didn't tell you about the slip to pick up the yarn!! Did you ever check on the one I told you about from a Secret Somebody???? Better get to the PO and check it out!!!!

Marsha: The Knifty Knitter has arrived!! I told ya you would freak when you saw the "limited" directions!! Super easy......I know you're not as talented as me, but ... ahem... you can do it!! Actually there is a site about the looms that kinda give you a demo on wrapping. I'll try to do a step by step if you need help!

Madison and Vickie: Will have squares ready to mail by the first of the week. Who need them????

    Hugs,
    Denise

This big ole purple thing is about 18 inches long. I need 7X9 right? Should I just measure 9" and not use the whole thing? I cannot believe I am typing this.

Marsha...ROFLMBO...that is quite a description there!!! Yes, just measure nine inches and don't use the whole thing. pppfffttt...somebody will come along with better directions...I'm laughing too hard.

I think on the purple loom...you only wrap 12 (there are 18 total) pegs on each side and it should come out right.

MArsha, Google to the rescue. Here is a link to some instruction videos. KK is the third set down. Use the Dial-up version of the video, I could not get the Broadband to play. The demo is for a round loom, but you should be able to translate the instructions to the flat one. Looks like good instruction to me, and I have never used it!!!!

Marsha, if you've got the long purple loom, just use 12 pegs on each side. Then ask Denise for any other problems.

Denise, Margaret is having trouble with her knitter, can you help her? Marsha, too?
    thanks

Madison, how beautiful. I can't do anything fancy (obviously) but man oh man do I really want to contribute to that!! Do you get goosebumps everytime you mail one out?

OK 12 pegs is the 9". Just measure the 7"? I CAN do this.

12 pegs is the 7" side so just keep knitting until you have a length of 9". It may look wider than 7" at first but as it gets longer it will pull back in to be about 7" wide.

    Love the latest Afghan!!!!

Hey Madison, feel like I'm in a CenterFold!! (you didn't fluff the orange one up!!)

I use the pinkish one, it has 12 pegs. So, yup...just use 12 pegs on both sides and you're all set! You can do this!!
Marsha and Margaret, if you need help let me know...You will feel great once you get one done and see it in an afghan!!

Yep Denise, first thing I noticed in the pix was that the orange one sure looked flat. Thought to myself, I bet Denise did that one. LOL You are so cute.

Did thefirst row on the KK and then couldn't figure out how to round the bend. Finally think I got that and then did the 2nd row and couldn't figure out how to the 3rd.

If the KK is Knitting For Dummies you would think the directions would be better. DH said it looked like to him it would be easier to just learn to knit. LOL I haven't given up yet..........Marsha

    Marsha, you are to funny!

Now you have me concerned....you don't 'round the bend' on the KK..you use both sides at the same time and when you get to the end you wrap again and knit to the end. Let me wake up and I'll see if I can find some EASY directions for you!

Hope the rest of you girls know that Marsha and I tease each other alot....I'm not picking on her!
When I first got the KK, it sat in my Living Room for a few weeks before I would even take it out and look at it!
My DD said the same thing as your DH, Marsha...just learn to knit! Easy for her to say!!

    Denise

Beautiful job! I love love the lacy looking light blue square in the fifth row. Could whoever made that one post a pattern? I'm getting tired of single crocheting and looking to try something a little more interesting.
    Thanks

Suzanne, I think Jule made the square you are looking at -
I also remember Anne (ArmyNavyMom) made some that were a shell pattern.
