Neesie, Congrats on the pic posting. The purse is adorable. Your dd has talent.

But I have to tell ya, I just still don't get it but that's ok cause I do not do crafts anyway. This was a great project is the only reason I spend all this time learning to knit on the loom. And that seems to be a stretch for me. lol

Wooohooo Cheri...you got it. I got your package of squares. They are so pretty. I have some of your last ones in the next afghan that is almost finished and I will post a picture as quick as it's done (probably tomorrow)

You girls...each and every one...are simply the best. I know I say that every time but it's just plain true.
    Hugs to all

Well, I am finally back. It feels like I have been away for a bazillion years but now I will actually have some free time again. I have some squares ready but I need to wash a few of them as I don't know if the yarn was wool or not. If they shrink up I will toss them out.

Denise you crack me up. I really want to go back to your original posts -- "oooh, all this talk about stockinette stitch and needle size makes my head hurt" or something to that effect. Next thing you will be teaching classes at Michael's. I also like your story about how the washer ate your "test" afghan.

Jule, good news about the cyst but watch out for the hyst. The first 10 days are rocky unless you are getting the laparascopic one. After 10 days or so things smoothed out for me, and I began to enjoy my "stay at home" time. That was in 2004, my personal year from hell.

Well, DH is graciously fixing dinner and it should be ready soon but will check back in a few. -- Donna in VA

    Donna...welcome back!!!
Denise...I love that bag! She does great work! I haven't tried the felting but will someday. Is that a tie that she used as a handle...very creative. Does she sell them? I am a bagaholic LOL...my daughter would always steer me away from bags and purses at the stores! Well...that and shoes!

    Hey all!
Donna, Will you be my first student at Michaels? I think I should start with like a "senior Citizen Center" or maybe "assisted living." That would be more my thing!! I can combine my "real" job with my "new" hobby! Oh, life is good!!

Cheri: To Funny..You just go buy that felt and we'll work on it!

Vickie: Thanks! She really does a beautiful job. You should see the dress she made her dd. Still to big on her, but sooo cute. (watch what you wish for....I just may post a picture of it!) She has sold a few and really wants to get into it, it's a time factor with her, but if you are interested I'll let her know. And yes, that is a tie she used for the handles!

Nicki: Love ya and love your picture!! Not to mention your patience!

    Hugs,
    Denise

    Hi all,
Been off line for a few days so stopped in to say hello. I participated in the ACS relay for life this weekend. What a wonderful experience. I cried while walking the entire survivors lap. Then my DH and DS walked the next lap with me and made me smile again. I didn't stay all night but did hang around till about 11pm and was just exhausted. It was such an incredible experience. All the survivors ther were shown so much love and support. Do believe this will be a yearly fund raiser for me.
I have a bunch of squares made but not enough to fill 2 boxes yet so I'll wait till I have more. Vickie and Madison did you get the ones I sent at the beginning of the month? I never heard.
    Hugs to all,
    Sue

Hi Sue...I did get your squares and thought I posted but can't find the post so I guess I didn't!!! I'm sorry and thank you so much. I try to keep track of the squares but to be truthful I do get them mixed up from time to time!
I got a bag of squares from Hinsdale...very pretty...but...who's are they? I know I should know but darn chemo brain just won't let me remember!
I have another afghan done to be mailed tomorrow and I will post pics later. I also have the EE afghan that I believe we are going to mail to someone as we haven't gotten an address for her yet and I have enough squares to make her one when we do.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I am still making squares. I have a bundle to send, but just haven't been to the po, I'm bad about that. My mom gave me a bunch of yarn when I was there a couple of weeks ago, so I have plenty. I will get those squares out soon, I promise!

CY, I have done the same "traffic" crochet trick. Work 4.2 miles from home-but it may take me 45 minutes to drive home. So many wasted minutes sitting in traffic.....
