WOO HOO AND SHOOT HOWDY AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF THANKS...........I JUST POSTED MY FIRST PICTURE!!!!!!
This is a picture of one of the Felted Purses my dd has made!
I've got the inside to, she has been lining them.
Yes, I did it!
Denise -
Neesie, Congrats on the pic posting. The purse is adorable. Your dd has talent.
But I have to tell ya, I just still don't get it but that's ok cause I do not do crafts anyway. This was a great project is the only reason I spend all this time learning to knit on the loom. And that seems to be a stretch for me. lol

Wooohooo Cheri...you got it. I got your package of squares. They are so pretty. I have some of your last ones in the next afghan that is almost finished and I will post a picture as quick as it's done (probably tomorrow)
You girls...each and every one...are simply the best. I know I say that every time but it's just plain true.
Hugs to all
Vickie -
Well, I am finally back. It feels like I have been away for a bazillion years but now I will actually have some free time again. I have some squares ready but I need to wash a few of them as I don't know if the yarn was wool or not. If they shrink up I will toss them out.
Denise you crack me up. I really want to go back to your original posts -- "oooh, all this talk about stockinette stitch and needle size makes my head hurt" or something to that effect. Next thing you will be teaching classes at Michael's. I also like your story about how the washer ate your "test" afghan.
Jule, good news about the cyst but watch out for the hyst. The first 10 days are rocky unless you are getting the laparascopic one. After 10 days or so things smoothed out for me, and I began to enjoy my "stay at home" time. That was in 2004, my personal year from hell.
Well, DH is graciously fixing dinner and it should be ready soon but will check back in a few. -- Donna in VA -
Vickie, i'm glad you received the box. I love those bright spring colors. We all appreciate you & Madison putting these rectangles together for us, I know that's got to be alot of work.

Denise: You did it, by George you did it.

Donna...welcome back!!!
Denise...I love that bag! She does great work! I haven't tried the felting but will someday. Is that a tie that she used as a handle...very creative. Does she sell them? I am a bagaholic LOL...my daughter would always steer me away from bags and purses at the stores! Well...that and shoes!
Hugs all
Vickie -
Hey all!
Donna, Will you be my first student at Michaels? I think I should start with like a "senior Citizen Center" or maybe "assisted living." That would be more my thing!! I can combine my "real" job with my "new" hobby! Oh, life is good!!
Cheri: To Funny..You just go buy that felt and we'll work on it!
Vickie: Thanks! She really does a beautiful job. You should see the dress she made her dd. Still to big on her, but sooo cute. (watch what you wish for....I just may post a picture of it!) She has sold a few and really wants to get into it, it's a time factor with her, but if you are interested I'll let her know. And yes, that is a tie she used for the handles!
Nicki: Love ya and love your picture!! Not to mention your patience!
Hugs,
Denise -
Denise...let me know what she would charge...I am sooo interested. I just fell in love with that bag LOL.

Hello, I'm here...just finished an afghan and will post pictures after the individual receives the afghan..don't want to give away surprise.
I will start working on another afghan this afternoon after
we cook and celebrate middle daughter's 25th birthday today....
You are all the bestest!!!!
Oh, my sister from Florida may help us put afghans together...I may hear from her next week....Sis, if you log on the site..how are you? -
Hi all,
Been off line for a few days so stopped in to say hello. I participated in the ACS relay for life this weekend. What a wonderful experience. I cried while walking the entire survivors lap. Then my DH and DS walked the next lap with me and made me smile again. I didn't stay all night but did hang around till about 11pm and was just exhausted. It was such an incredible experience. All the survivors ther were shown so much love and support. Do believe this will be a yearly fund raiser for me.
I have a bunch of squares made but not enough to fill 2 boxes yet so I'll wait till I have more. Vickie and Madison did you get the ones I sent at the beginning of the month? I never heard.
Hugs to all,
Sue -
Hi Sue...I did get your squares and thought I posted but can't find the post so I guess I didn't!!! I'm sorry and thank you so much. I try to keep track of the squares but to be truthful I do get them mixed up from time to time!
I got a bag of squares from Hinsdale...very pretty...but...who's are they? I know I should know but darn chemo brain just won't let me remember!
I have another afghan done to be mailed tomorrow and I will post pics later. I also have the EE afghan that I believe we are going to mail to someone as we haven't gotten an address for her yet and I have enough squares to make her one when we do.
You girls are the best
Hugs

Ahhh...Hinsdale...thanks Liz!!! Thank you MB for the squares and they are beautiful. I couldn't for the life of me remember who lived in Hinsdale...and I'm coming to Pinkstock there of all things LOL. If I don't show up somebody send out a posse!
-
Denise...what wonderful pictures. What a cutie she is!!
Cheri...thank you for the update on Mena...let her know that she is in my thoughts constantly. I have worried about her all day today for some reason. Can't get her out of my mind. Tell her I'm sending her an angel.
Hugs to all...your the best.
Vickie
OH...putting two afghans in the mail tomorrow!! -
Vickie, could be that MB doesn't live in Hinsdale but that's where her mail goes out of, that it confused you!
Will try to work on more squares as I can now that taxes are done! -
Vickie..sorry...was in a rush...the mail man was standing here waiting thought I scribbled enough of purplemb on it...BUT lololol...with pinkstock ...

hugs MB...still working on some squares...and hearts too... -
Denise that little girl is just to cute for words.
-
Cheri: Thanks for update on Mena. How wonderful is that ladies? She has a "Security Blankie" made of Hugs from all of us! Wow, I love this site and you girls!
Shirley: Thanks, she's pretty special to me. But boy is she Stubborn at times..especially with her Mom!
Actually, she looks pretty good when I don't have the picture laying on it's side!!!!
Hugs,
Denise -
Hey Cheri and Susan and all of us Knifty Knitters....All these weeks of stress Making Triangles........I was just looking for a loom on line and guess what? They actually make a "TRIANGLE" Loom!!
LOL,
Denise -
ROTFLMAO
But triangles are so easy to make why would you go buy a loom.
BWAAAHAAAAHAAAAWAAAAA -
Hey, just wanted to let you know I am still making squares. I have a bundle to send, but just haven't been to the po, I'm bad about that. My mom gave me a bunch of yarn when I was there a couple of weeks ago, so I have plenty. I will get those squares out soon, I promise!
-
Triangle loom? Now why would there even be a need for that? Susan, Denise, do you girls understand that? Things that make you go Hmmm.
-
I picked up lots of yarn at the second hand store so now I need to get busy!
I was bad I got so bored sitting in traffic today I pulled out my square I was working on and worked on it between lights! -
CY, I have done the same "traffic" crochet trick. Work 4.2 miles from home-but it may take me 45 minutes to drive home. So many wasted minutes sitting in traffic.....
-
Cheri a triangle loom would be great for bikini's....lololol....
shhh don't tell boss I brought my crochet hook and yarn to work...lol
Mb -
MB, what a great idea for my triangles! I could make tops and bottoms and sell them for huge profits! hahahaha
