    This was our orange tabby Marley. We lost him February 2021 at almost the age of 17. He was really smart and sweet. He learned how to go through our neighbors doggy door, hang out in their home, sleep on the dogs bed, and eat their snacks. He was quite the personality. He was a comfort to me while I was going through treatment.

    I had a torti named Mocca who was a real bully. We started fostering a little old kitty named Maggie - half Mocca's size. I didn't see what went down, but clearly Maggie won. If Mocca saw her at the end of the hall, she would back out to get away. She really did have it coming and Maggie was never bullied again.

    Petite - Marshmallow is handsome. I have had an orange cat for as long as I can remember (which these days isn't actually very long) and think they are just the best.

    Katg- I can't believe you can volunteer and not bring them home. I have “ flunked" out of fostering multiple times because I fall in love and end up keeping at least one from the litter. My DH has threatened divorce if I do it again.

    We had to put our old lady Lucy down this week. She was 18 and went down hill very rapidly in the last couple of weeks. It is so traumatic - every time I have to do this I swear I will stop getting pets, but of course never stick to it. But I hate it!

    janiehs- It has been easy to volunteer. in 2007 i adopted my white boy Rocco who i had for 15 years. He snorted when he ate and i knew something was up. I played it for the doctor but did not get a 2nd opinion. In the end after Diabetes was diagnosed and he started to sneeze blood, i took him to the emergency vet. She told me tomorrow to get him tested. All that his symptoms say is there is something in his nose. Period. I got him tested, spent thousands, but i had to if nothing else could be done. Sadly, a month or so later a put him to sleep. The vet staff cried to. Rocco was not a biter or afraid of vets. All loved him. Once he was gone, i had my Mabel and Simba. Unless another Rocco arrives, this may be it.

    Of course if i find a ginger like Marley i too will be a foster fail. And really, my rescue has 3 locations, i care for them there. I do not take them home. I would fail that way.

    Well, Bella is in trouble for barfing at 5:45am. I wasn't able to get back to sleep, so am pretty sleepy now. It wasn't real vomit, just scarf and barf. I may need to get a puzzle feeder.

    Sometimes cat vomit wakes me up. Usually it is Miss Felix, but once in a while it is Midnight Louie. Marshmallow belongs to my Grandnephew and his wife. The tie stayed on him long enough for the picture. Love the cat tails. Cats do make me happy.

    Thanks. They’re coming up on their first birthday June 9, although we adopted them at 5 months old.They always seems to be getting into something.

    imageThis is my bully Simba. I can almost pet him like a normal cat after 6 years. He had ring worm as a kitten, so possibly a lack of care. He is also a boy. Here he is offering the paw for a pet. If my white girl Hazel were to jump off her tower nearby, this gato would be long gone. She is a mouse to him.
