Spookiesmom, So true. That was Felix yesterday morning.

Cardplayer, When Miss Felix was young she didn't mind going to the vet, she would sleep in the carrier. After she starting having medical issues, she would meow all the way to the Vet's office. She has diabetes and thyroid issues. One time she had a tumor and required a toe amputation. She will be 25 in November. Midnight Louie doesn't like the carrier and never has. The first vet I took him to terrified him, to the point he would wet himself. I changed vets and he is better. They also are aware of his terror and use warm towels with cat pheromone spray and give him treats. He is 6.

Petite, 25 is almost legendary for a cat. My cat meowed going to the vet, but I think he would have been fine if he wasn't in the carrier. He was Mr. Charming when he got there.

Miss Felix is a very special cat and she knows it. She moves slow and sleeps a lot, but still interested in what we ae doing and where we are. She will look for us to come and tell me a little cat secret. She is a talker. She does not like Midnight Louie and never has. She has out lived Tyler, Muffin, and Peaches, so it is not that she has to be the only one. She didn't pay any attention to Tyler and Muffin, but she was buds with Peaches. They would tag team. The pool guy left the screen door open and Peaches went out, never to be seen again. Miss Felix would walk around looking for her, then refused to go on the lanai for years. She was jest telling me something, just now. She probably knows I am writing about her.

Such a sad loss of your dear Peaches. But what a wonderful age Miss Felix is. Truly blessed.

No dirty dogs allowed. Then Pywacket was swatting Kris tags. Never a dull moment.

Petite sorry to hear how you lost peaches.

Spookiesmom you now have evidence that Pyewacket and the pooch are friendly ha

card player that Bart sure is handsome!

I fed the feral grey "kitten" again this morning along with her raccoon buddy. Heaven help me they both look pregnant. I have been unable to catch either one. The matter is getting even more urgent as we have young doggies we adopted in March (3 yes crazy) that we are trying to teach not to chase after kitties.

I read in a cat forum you should cut the handle on the bags for safety. yes, Pywacket and Kris are buds. Spookie has stopped trying to kill him, but still doesn’t want him in the house. Or near me.

Rah, Our animal shelter has traps to loan and people to help you catch the kitty. They will be very interested in preventing a litter of kittens. The whole country is overwhelmed with kittens because it was so hard to get cats spayed and neutered during covid.

Wren so far she has eluded my trap. I am always fearful that I will catch a skunk instead. She is a sweet little thing (albeit from a distance) and loves her raccoon buddy. I will keep trying.

Miss Felix is loosing clumps of hair. She is my old lady, pushing 25. She does not groom as much as she use to, so I wonder if that is the problem. Any one have a kitty that was loosing clumps of fur? I do think she is very short term. Sad

Sorry to hear Miss Felix is losing her fur that way. Any chance it could be a thyroid issue given her age?

Petite - My old lady cat Lucy had the exact same thing - instead of shedding individual firs it came out in clumps. It started about 2-3 months (as best I can remember) before we ended up having to put her to sleep. She went downhill fairly rapidly in the last week but she never seemed to be in any pain. She was somewhere between 18 and 20 ( she was a rescue so we never knew her exact age). I’m so sorry about Miss Felix. It’s hard. Jani

Miss Felix is on Thyroid medication. She does not seem to be in pain. She sleeps a lot and stays on the same side. She eats and uses her cat pot. She will do a little walk around on some days. She is interested in what we are doing and still tells me little cat secrets. I have been brushing her and she doesn't seem to mind.

Miss Felix sounds like my grandmother at 92. As long as she tells you little cat secrets, she's ok.

Miss Felix was a little more active, yesterday. She went out on the lanai, wandered around in the house and even swatted Louie. I did call the vet and left a message for her to call me. I do think it is old age.

It looks like they have to climb up the column to get in the decks. Do they have places in between the floor and top deck that help them climb. You're lucky they both approve.

My kitty Grace would have that thing on its side in no time. Princess would just treat it as a giant scratching post
