Wednesday Weigh In

Down 1 from last week, which was way way too high. So still several pounds above where I want it to be. Keeping at it.
-
I'm way up. We had pizza Sunday night and ate out at a local seafood restaurant Monday night where I ate fried shrimp, oysters and thin cut catfish fillets. AND fries. Tuesday morning I had bags around my eyes from all the salt. Back to healthy cooking and continuing to exercise at the gym.
Have fun on vacation, Ruthbru.
-
I just got back from a vacation where I had too much fun!
-
This morning, after 3 trips to the bathroom last night, I was down 5 lbs from my weight on Tuesday morning. I knew most of the 5 lbs weight gain from high salt unhealthy eating was fluid. It was just a matter of getting back to a veggie centered diet and losing the bloat.
Now my birthday celebrations are coming up. DH and I are going out to my favorite restaurant for Sunday dinner and then I'm meeting golf friends for lunch on Monday.
-
Happy Birthday, Carole!
-
Happy Birthday Carole! I am down again this week. Am happy to be heading on a downward trend. X

Happy Birthday Carole

Happy Birthday Carole. Calories and carbs don't count this week.
-
Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Back from our RV trip (early due to virus concerns), and I weighed yesterday to discover I am up 8 lbs since mid-October. At one point on the trip I'm sure I was higher (judging by how tight my pants were), but the last 2 weeks before we left we were doing a lot of walking on the beach, so I think that took some weight off. Time to be accountable now and start tracking what I put in my mouth.
-
Down again this week. 155lbs. About 20lbs more than I would like to be, but going in the right direction.
-
Went up scarily but now back to same as last week.
-
Down .5 lbs to 151.5 Even though I have been much better about my food intake, I find it difficult to give up the cocktails! Especially now with social distancing/quarrantine/stay at home. Was hoping to break the 150 barrier, maybe next week.
-
Same with the cocktails, Pat!
-
Well, finally home to my scale after a 10 day spring break in Hawaii followed by 14 days of self isolating at the local Residence Inn before able to come home to my home where my 85 year old mother lives...exactly the same as the morning I left for Hawaii. While no progress in the down direction and I need 15 lbs of that! I'll count the same as a victory! Have been taking long walks and my yoga studio is live streaming and making a video bank, so need to do more.
Aloha Friday!
-
We are under a shelter in place order in my state. All restaurants closed except you can order takeout, which I have not except the Friday before. I really thought eating out was my issue and expected to lose weight. I lost two pound initially, but that goes up and down depending on how much salt and carbs I eat one day. I’ve been able to walk every day at lunch except yesterday it was raining. In short, this is discouraging.
-
Up 2 to 153.5. Stress eating, I just feel on edge, miss my grandkids, and little to no exercise. Will try and focus this week on making better food choices.
-
Stayed the same. Too high, but at least didn't gain. I understand about stress eating (also boredom eating).
-
When this started, I went down a couple pounds, then stress-ate comfort food & back up, this week I am back down because I have started some long-delayed projects around the house, limited my TV time, made a point of checking in with different friends & relatives every day, brought the grandpuppies out for a good walk every day, and my fitness center is doing virtual classes through Zoom, so I am doing a class every day too. I think the more 'normal' and scheduled you can make your life during this time, the better.
-
-
Love it ruthbru - so true! I am on the stress diet this week and up 4lbs, bother!
-
Ruthbru, thank you for a gut laugh! I love the diet.
-
Up 1.5 to 155, and not caring! Well, I care a little bit, but yoga pants and pajama bottoms are very forgiving. Have been getting out for nice hikes every few days, good for the soul.
-
I'm up 2...have been walking when the pollen allows, but too much idle time working at my computer too many hours a day...nearly everyday. On Saturday my DH said "Saturday? It's not Tuesday? What difference does it make now a days?" As instant teleworkers, we are overwhelmed.
Happy Easter/Passover for all celebrating. TT
-
Up 1. Surprised it isn't more. Today is going to be nice and I'm going to get a walk in.
-
Our town has been encouraging that we support our local restaurants that are still offering take out and/or delivery. I have been doing too good of a job of it as I am up a pound!

Advice we all need.

Ladies it’s been months since I have posted. It took me 2 months to get over my acute bronchitis. I have never been so sick in my life! I’m really starting to wonder if I could’ve possibly had COVID-19. Anyway I’m up about 6 pounds from stress eating and not exercising. I have been quarantined at home since March 12 is my girl because she’s high risk. Stay safe out there!

*you might guess from this that I do not have any weight loss to report......
