Wednesday Weigh In

ScotBird...Thank you for the welcome. I feel the same way about FB and instagram. I am going to work on being more active on this thread and I also am getting ready to post my own thread for some advice and wisdom because I don't want to clog this one up.
-
Down another 1.5lbs this week. Low carb eating and 3 weights sessions plus daily cycling are transforming me. I find that working from home helps alot
-
I am officially joining you guys for support and accountability. While I am too horrified and ashamed to post my weight, I will say that ultimate goal would be to lose about 45 pounds. Should that not be possible, if I could lose at least 30 I would be quite happy.
For those of you that have had success with low carb, what is your ballpark carb limit per day?
-
That is good news cm. I don’t know how many carbs I am getting. I’m just following a diet that my husband found In Men’s Health magazine called 6 weeks to a six pack. It is basically lots of eggs and meat or fish with salad, steamed or occasionally roasted vegetables, zero fat yoghurt and a few nuts. Although today my daughter decided to order a delivery of a curry, so for dinner I ate that with lots of rice, poppadoms and onion bhajis, 2 beers, followed by ice cream, a banana and quite a lot of chocolate. Oops and back to the diet and exercise tomorrow. I have now lost 15 pounds since my highest point a couple of months ago and want to lose another 20lbs.
-
ScotBird.. Congratulations on the 15 pounds lost! That is wonderful and must feel so good. It is so easy to fall off the good eating wagon and so much harder to crawl back on it and do well.
-
Down officially 2 pounds from last Wed. Though I did go up some and then back down. Getting food back on track has not been easy but I think I may be in the groove with it now, so I just need to keep it up. I am also trying to get back to exercising regularly. That hasn't been good...so far.
-
up 4.5lbs this week, very bad week including lots of unhealthy eating. I did enjoy it but can’t seem to do moderation. I will try again this week
-
After saying for the last month that I was going to record my food, I finally started Monday and am down a pound since then. I will REALLY try to keep it up because that is the only thing that works for me.
-
ScotBird...I can't do moderation either (same with "intuitive eating"...I will intuitively eat myself into a coma). I'm sorry it has been a rough week for you. Hopefully this week will be easier on you.
-
I’m going to reset starting tomorrow. Hopefully by Wednesday I’ll be back on track
-
I was up a pound this morning. Not sure why. Perhaps I'm burning fewer calories now that I'm walking better? Or that yesterday was accidentally a high salt day? Certainly not due to something yummy.
-
I am down 12 pounds and didn't even realize it. I went to my PCP and was shocked when I got on the scales. The grief of losing my Momma has hit me hard!
-
Down 2lbs this week, which is good! I’m 154lbs, which is too much for me. I’d like to be 126lbs -probably not very realistic as I’ve only ever been at that weight for a few weeks before putting weight back on. Ruth I’m going to try writing everything down and see if it will work for me.
-
Varga I’m so sorry to hear your news. Sending you a cosmic hug. X
-
I have continued to log every morsel & am glad to report I'm down 2.8 pounds this week.
Varga, sending hugs your way.
-
I'm the same which is OK. Of course I know the scale is wacked and not giving the right numbers, but whatever it is, I'm not gaining. I had a sweet tooth attack this week which has proven that eating sugar makes me want more of it. That may make it easier to eat way less.
-
I am the same weight this week. During the course of the week I had actually lost, but the last 2 days I have eaten too much. I am logging all my food and I worked out this morning.
Wrenn44....I do want more sugar when I eat it. There is no doubt I am addicted to it.
Vargadoll...I am very sorry for your loss. Hugs.
-
Up .5 this week. So OK.
-
Down just .2
-
Down 2.0 pounds. Thrilled and just so hoping I can keep it going.
-
Well, down yesterday 1.5, but up today 1...bouncing like treading water.......and now Sally is coming our way!
-
well done cm
-
Stay safe, TT.
-
ScotBird...Thank you.
-
Stayed the same this week. Maintaining is OK, not as good as losing but OK.
-
Not good this week!
-
down .5 this week...small miracles.
-
Well, as of Tuesday of this week I had lost another 3 pounds. It all fell apart Tuesday afternoon through today, and I can't even begin to imagine how much I have gained back...probably every last pound I have lost over the last 2 weeks and a few more besides. I am back on track tomorrow morning, including back on my yoga mat. Sigh..............
-
ruthbru...........You aren't alone. You aren't alone.
-
Ruthbru and cm2020 you are not alone, we are all in this together, you have a bad week and then you have a good week, and after all it was only a week. Let’s say goodbye to last week, hello to a new start and let’s all resolve to take each new week as a great opportunity to look after ourselves by eating delicious food when we are hungry and stopping as soon as we are not hungry any more. In my case, that is really hard to do, as I often just seem to mindlessly keep going! X
