Feline, Bummer swans caused delay, but at least nobody was hurt.

Mags, So glad you enjoyed party and DH got a talking to. Something to look forward to with your sister coming in Jan. Sorry about the hair loss.

Loverly, I got Mentor Memory gel rounds. My PS won't even do shaped ones, and being that one of my expanders turned I wasn't going to risk an implant doing the same. Interesting how different PS's have so many different belief's. Yes, I am really glad to have the hard expanders out, and now just waiting for things to settle. I hate limbo! Your DD's hard work is impressive! I bet you are excited to spend some time with her over winter break.

It started snowing this afternoon and is supposed to keep snowing until tomorrow afternoon or evening, with a total of 4-6 inches. Our first big snow of the season.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Thank you Shep, WildT, Smaarty & MammaRay for the B-day wishes!

MammaRay - Sorry to hear your guys are sick, but very grateful you are feeling much better. I hope the procedure kicked the cancer buggers out to left field and beyond.

I think I forgot to post Kirbs 8 week pic. Here goes! He's growing like a weed. Only 7 more days if the weather cooperates. His brother's left to go to Montana today, so he's the only pup left. Thankfully they are letting him hang with the family so he won't be alone.

Guess that's all for now. Until later.

Junie, I can't remember where you're meeting them. DS lives in Hood River and he has 10" of snow. There's a city park with a depression and hills. They've marked it off for sledding. We were there once and they had a hill for little kids, medium kids and a separate area for the dare devils. Most kids slid with parents. I hope you have good luck getting there. We're going for Christmas and are hoping for clear roads.

Happy Birthday Lita & Junie! Not fair to have a birthday so close to Christmas.

Wren - I never realized you are so close. Even if you are as far as Seattle or somewhere else. We are supposed to drive to Kennewick, WA on the 17th, then spend the night and meet the breeder on Sunday the 18th, then drive back to Salem. There are still 6 days until we are scheduled to go and stranger things have happens. I am praying for 65 degrees. Don't care if it's raining, just not snowy or icy.

As I am sitting here at my computer I looked down and imagined little Kirbs sitting there looking up at me.

Awwww. You love little Kirby even before you meet him. Hopefully, he will sit quietly at your feet rather than chewing on the cable cord

MammaRay, great news! May you continue to feel better each day. PTL. So DH is out of the dog house? I hope so.

WildT, Memory Gel? Hopefully, they are not like memory foam. Ha! Can you imagine....,oh never mind. I don't think I will last very long living where you, Ms. Chevy, Susan, and Queenie live. I will freeze. It rained all day here. Good sleeping weather. We are still in fall season. This was taken at a college where DD2 had swim practice this morning. Not very far from Ms. Smaarty's house.

Junie, I made Laksa today for lunch and dinner. It's a popular Malay dish in Malaysia and Singapore. Spicy curry coconut base soup with thick rice noodle. image

No fish head. Ha! Nothing exotic here except maybe the shrimp (for you know who)

    Thanks Sensi.

Lita - I hope your day was enjoyable.

Happy birthday JunieB and Lita! Junie, Kirby is just precious and you're gonna have a great time!

Mamma Ray, it brought tears to my eyes to see that you are feeling better and minimal ses from the procedure. Even though it sucks that your boys are sick, I know it's a treat for you to take care of them for a change.

So, I got my head shaved today. Last time it was July, and I gave away a lot of my sleep caps so will have to pick up some more at the clinic next week. Gonna take some getting used to again. At least I have a good head for bald. Anyone know about henna tattoos?

    Off to bed now.

Thank you Ladies! It is good to see another one. I spent the entire day yesterday in my apartment in my jammies. I was a total lump. Got to talk to several people on the phone though.

Breeder messaged me this morning, her power is out, to let me know that now that Kirby is without siblings he is having a great time playing with his momma and the other dogs, because his brother Finnigan is no longer there to pick on him. Apparently Finnigan is a bit of a bully. Kirby is now finding the stray socks and cords in the house and chewing them. I thanked her for the heads up, so I can make doubly sure to get everything out of Kirby range. At least until he's grown up more.

Okay, I have to finish getting ready for Church, so I'll sign off for now. Have an excellent Sunday everyone.

Shep, how are things going with FoFF?

Junie, My how Kirby has matured already!

Loverly, HA! You crack me up!! Maybe you're on to something..you could design an implant with memory foam. I think the memory gel is just the name of Mentor's brand/formulation of silicone gel. I'm told it's like the consistency of jell-o. (More likely to stay in the pocket in the event of a rupture.) That fall pic is gorgeous, and soup looks so yummy!

MammaRay, I'm so sorry to hear your DS is so sick, but really glad for you that you feel well enough to be caring for him. I'm very familiar with respiratory stuff...poor little guy! I hope you get all the meds to make him better quick. You are about 6 months behind on my status..not that I expect anyone to keep track! I got my expanders in June, with an LD flap on one side, and last Monday was the exchange to implants. The implants are much softer, of course, and the itching is better. My PS did some internal stitches on one side that is giving me pain, particularly at night, but this surgery was nothing compared to the LD flap.

Poppy, Your cute...I really don't know how long it will take my boobies to settle. My PS didn't talk about it, but everything I have read on the BCO boards is that it can take weeks to months. I guess there is natural surgical swelling that needs to go down, and the implants settle into their pockets over time and re-shape. Some call it drop and fluff. For example, lefty is more flat and round, but I guess it will settle/project differently as time goes on. A test of my patience, for sure!! Gus is a cute name for your kitty. Lucky you!!

Tomorrow I have check up with MO, so need to sit and get my list of questions ready. Sending hugs to everyone!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone. The party at my friend's house was great, but it rained like heck, so we were all stuck inside and couldn't go outside to watch the egrets on the lake.

How was your birthday, Junie? Hope our had a good dayear.

MammaRay, hope doc will make DS better in no time. You know I was teasing you about DH. It is not easy for the spouse either. I am elated that you tolerate the treatment this time so much better. Hugs. Have you heard from Susan? She is supposed to be flying home today.

MammaRay, I totally agree that Loverly's house is way too clean. The only way I could get ours to look like that would be for us to move out. Hmmmm, that's a thought.

Your poor DS, I hate getting stuck for IV's. He'll feel much better once he's hydrated.

MammaRay, You are NOT a flake! Do not be so hard on my friend!! (aka, You) Each of us has a lot going on in our lives...that's just the way it is. Oh, my, what a sweet looking boy! I bet you are wrapped around his little finger.

Loverly, I don't believe that's your house. I think it's a model home that nobody lives in and you just go in there and takes pictures to make us think you live in a perfect house.

    Poppy, Gus is Adorable!!!

MammaRay - Your baby boy looks so sweet. Sorry he is in the hospital. Hopefully the antibiotics work quickly and he can be home very soon.

Why don't you want the dogs you have? If that is how you feel, would re-homing them be an option?

Loverly - How do you keep your house so spotless? Did you ever get up and walk Mitzy? She looked totally comfortable laying there staring into the fireplace.

Poppy - Gus is an adorable name, and he is a cutie pie. Is he a cuddler? My Kirby has made his way into bed with the breeder and her husband and their dogs. So he'll be all broken in to sleep with me when he finally gets here. He apparently has taken a liking to crawling in and through their entertainment center. He has accidently turned off her husbands video game numerous times.

WildT - Glad your implants are getting better.

    Hey Sheppers!

I am sleepy, so I am going to say goodnight and sleep well everyone.

JunieB, love the morning prayer, especially the request to inflame our heart with love. Too often we fail to reflect His love for others. I am guilty of it at times. Regarding the Laksa, I made it with a pre-mix spice my SIL got for us when she came to visit the U.S. I honestly don't know how to make it from scratch. I am not sure if there is one without the red peppers. I did take Mitzy out for a 45 min walk. She panics whenever people ( especially children or loud people) walk toward us. Always pulls me to go the opposite direction or try to get out of the leash. Can't have a normal walk if there are too many people outside. And forget about strollers. Not sure what the previous owners did to her. All we knew was they had young children. Kirby will be loved. I know for sure. So nice to cuddle with a toy dog. Mitzy is too big for me to cuddle her in bed. Plus she sheds too much.

WildT and Ms. Wren, hahaha. It is my house. I blame it on the OCD. Cleaning is one of the few things I have somewhat control over. I am a control freak, believe it or not. Drives me nut when I go to shopping and I find clothes falling off the hangers and people just leave them on the floor. Sometimes I find myself rearranging folded clothes on the shelf. Ha!

Lita, what good friends you have. It rained all day here yesterday too.

MammaRay, your boy is so prescious. He still has baby hands. Just want to hug him. Hope he gets to go home soon. You, Patty, and ShepK need a break.

Peppy, Gus is cute. His name reminds me of Gus Gus the mouse from Cinderella.

    Hey Ya'll!

Wore myself out with hospital visits to FoFF. Last I posted about him, things looked bleak. I had spent Thursday making phone calls for my Mother-in-law gathering info (financial, legal, home care, med equipment, ect) as it seemed FoFF wasn't going to improve. But.....Friday morning he woke up and he was totally lucid! His mind is "healed" as if nothing had ever happened. FF had a lovely afternoon with his dad at the hospital watching football and visiting. The doctor is now saying that FoFF will be home for Christmas. He will have PT and some nursing care at home. Truly amazing....we really were expecting the worst.

JunieB ~ I love Kirby's floufy white chest. He looks like a little stuffed toy....sooo cute! Love the little updates and stories from the breeder. Yay, he is a snuggler and likes to cuddle in bed! So excited for you 😊

Lovely ~ Yes, your house is tooooo clean. Even Mitzy is shining! I just want to sneak over and clutter things up a little. It just is so unsettling!

MammaRay ~ Poor DS being so sick. He is an adorable looking little fella. It must be so hard to keep from crawling right in the bed with him. Mommy hugs are the best medicine - after the antibiotics of course. May his hospital stay be brief. Hope that DH is feeling better and that you are also continuing to feel better. You lived in SC before? I live in Myrtle Beach about a 10 minute drive from the ocean. Summerville is a pretty little town and North Charleston is nice too. My MO is in Charleston - love that whole area. Most people move FROM Ohio to SC. You need to turn around! It's too cold out that way!

PoppyJean ~ We must have more pics of your baby kitty. Gus is a sweetie! Those paws look huge, do you think he'll be a big boy? (Oh, I love big kitties!) Please give us daily reports on all the cuteness he is up to!

Mags ~ Your husband works with some lovely people. Wonderful that you were able have such a nice time out. Big cheers for your Doc telling hubby that you are not doing any traveling. What an awesome night! I've seen pics of women with the henna designs on their heads. It looks so pretty! Would you go to a beauty shop to have it done?

WildT ~ Wish I had advice on how to ease your pain and discomfort. My go to for everything is heat.....probably not good for surgical healing? Hoping for you to feel more comfortable soon and that the MO goes well tomorrow. Gentle (((hugs)))

    Lita ~ Happy belated birthday!

Sensi ~ Chance is so handsome in his Christmas finery! What a nice card his pic would make!

Chevy ~ I have an appointment tomorrow with an ENT to check out my ears. I think either the 2 years of Tamoxifen or the 1 year on Femara are damaging my hearing. Any advice on what I should ask the doctor?

Sending warm hugs to all πŸ’—

    Sweet Dreams!
