Mags! You know what? If you don't feel like it, just don't go.... Don't have to hit him over the head with a skillet, or anything drastic, just explain to this Husband, that you do not feel like going, because you are feeling puny, and you just can't do it! Tell HIM to go! Then you stay home, and just enjoy doing whatever makes you happy.
And if he pulls a "Well damnit, she is YOUR Sister, and if you don't go, then I will be mad, and you will be sorry" but don't pay any attention. I never used to say "NO" either. That's when I was young and afraid to make him mad.... but those days are long gone.... We both compromise.
And Feline is right.... just don't get out into the world when you are feeling bad... or recovering. Tell him your Doc said "No Traveling".... Period.
Just tell him "Now honey, I just can't do it this year... She will understand, a lot better than YOU evidently." Then pull the chair out from under him, and go smoke a cigarette with your feet up on an ottoman,

good ones😍😍.
-
Hahahaha. Love you Mama. Ok, need to go back to what I was doing. ADD.
Oh quick msg.....Mags, DH apparently does not understand how important it is that you stay away from crowded places with your immunocompromised system. He does not deserve a banging in the head with the skillet. Agree with what Feline said. Don't be mad at him.
Hello to my other Sisters. BBL
-
Final essay is done and ready to be sent in with the rest of my portfolio I had to do for my Adv. Comp. class. Just waiting now for the final Discussion Board assignment to be posted.
-
Mags, See if you can get your MO to tell him you can't go. He has the power to forbid you to take the trip. And if your MO is male, it will go down easier from him.
-
Mags, between the severereaction to chemo, an eye infection, and bronchitis, my birthday that I don't remember , thanksgiving before bmx, I LIED.
I told DH Dr P and Dr B said i wasn't allowed out. They didn't, I simply wasn't up to Christmas shopping, or much else. If it was going to happen, he had to do it.
I didn't feel guilty then, or now.
-
MammaRay - Hoping all goes well tomorrow morning, will be thinking of you.
Sensi - What did the vet say?
Loverly, Smaarty and Susan - I came here thinking I'd see pictures of the adventure I missed. Are you still partying?
Lita - Boo diarrhea is not a fun way to lose weight and 40 pound in 8 months. How are your taste buds?
Wild T - Glad the EX surgery went well and hope today was restful.
So I did it - I went to exercise class this evening! Finally and it was all good and I'll go back Thursday. No foobs fell out or anything.
-
Here it is:
-
Sensi, that is one swollen face. Poor boy.
MammaRay, best wishes tomorrow and future treatments. Will be in your pocket. I promise I will share the chocolate with everyone.
WildT, hope you are not in too much discomfort. Gentle hugs.
Peppy, we got home around 8:00 pm. Wish you and Sensi were there. You would love Susan and Claire, and of course Elena too. I could tell that she is going to be one smart kid. I got to hold her and she didn't even cry.
Oops, DD2 just got out from swim practice. BB
-
Love the pic ladies. Sorry I had to miss out this time. Vet thinks it is some type of insect bite....Chance has been know to try and catch flys. He got a steroid shot and Benadryl shot. Seems better today, not as swollen.
Hope everyone is well. After work I went and celebrated my nieces 13th birthday. They grow up way too fast.
Goodnight all
-
Poppy, taste buds are so-so. Mr D is back again this evening. It's just as bad on my off cycle weeks. Doesn't matter what I eat. No fun...
-
MammaRay, what are you still doing up so late? Worry about the side effects of the treatment you are having tomorrow?
-
it was lots of fun meeting Susan, Claire and Elena is the type of baby you just want to squeeze! She's so cuTe. It was fun but long drive home. Maybe one of these times, we'll have to meet up with Lita who's not too far.
Hope Susan and gang made it to the hotel ok. Have fun up in eureka.
-
Peppy, thumb up for getting to your excercise class. I like Pilate too, but I should start with yoga. When are you usually at the studio? Do they have morning classes? I would love to get back to yoga. I need help with my core. Fienne was on Netflix? Got to check it out. He does have the smartly handsome look. Love a deep thinker, but not too deep that they cross over to weirdness.
Nite Sensi. Glad Chance is ok.
Lita, your pup is cute. How old? I am sorry you are having diarrhea again. Do you get cramps with it.
Feline, poor DD. I thought dancers are graceful.
ShepK, hope you recover and get your spunk back soon. PTL for FIL turn around.
We had a great time at late lunch/early dinner. Claire is just as hilarious as Susan. And Elena has the most inquisitive beautiful blue eyes. She is a happy baby. I got my baby fix for the day. They did make it to the hotel safely.
Getting tire. Need a shower. Long day, but worth it
-
Oh MammaRay, no fun when we fight with our spouses. I usually can't sleep either when we argue. He is always wrong and I am always right. Don't tell him that though. And why are you on the couch? Send DH to the couch instead
-
Good choice. Dogs and TV are better than a grouchy DH. Nite dear.
-
-
MammaRay ~ Hootie-Hoo....Still up? I never sleep the night before anything vaguely important, never mind a big procedure. And I never sleep with Fart Face!
Been keeping you close in prayer and hoping all goes well tomorrow 💟
-
MammaRay ~ PM-ing you
-
Shep - Glad to hear your FIL is doing well.
Smaarty, Loverly, Susan - So glad you made it to California and had a wonderful time meeting each other. I so wish I could join you ladies at some point.
Susan - I hope you girls sleep well in your hotel room tonight and have a nice drive up to Eureka tomorrow. I grew up in Red Bluff, CA and got to visit Eureka a couple times in my pre-teen years. I seem to remember it as a pretty area. I hope you enjoy your visit.
MammaRay - Will be thinking of you tomorrow as you have your procedure.
Chevy - You're so funny!
Sensi - I am so glad Chance will be okay. Sleep well.
Now that I have reduced my Prilosec from 20 mg to 10 mg. per day, I am now experiencing nausea after taking the Ibrance. Yeah, I got to trade one issue for another.
Well goodnight to all.
-
Lover, yes graceful. She just didn't know which way the gate opened
MammaRay. sorry about your difficulties at home. You and DH are under huge stress. Best wishes for today. XXX
-
M0mmy well done on all the work, the finish line is in sight!
-
Sent in the portfolio this morning. Just waiting on the professor to give us the last assignment!
On top of everything hubby has been down with the flu since Sunday. Hoping he'll feel better and can go back to work tomorrow.
-
-
Mom2 ! That is so great that you are continuing your education! I still love to learn, but I don't like to work at it...Hah!
I just figured out how to "fix" the Starbucks app on my smart-phone, and it WORKED!
And your DH has the flu? So that means you are waiting on him, right? I would almost rather be sick, than have them be sick.... it's just easier and less stressful... Hah!
Snowing here.... Spookie, shut up..... Now she will post a picture of her weather in Florida... where it's something like "heavenly 70 degrees" or some imaginary figure like that.
JunieB... Can you take something like Ranitidine? The generic for those other ones? Or does the Prilosec work better? Nothing worse than being sick to your stomach.... or DIZZY..!!!
MammaRay? A "disagreement" you say? No.... those never go away.... if it ain't one thing, it's another.... Just get by it, kind of go on like nothing happened, and it will get better. Sometime, just go up & put your arms around him, and hug him close..... don't give him a knee to the groin.... just hug him.
-
So far he's been not so crabby as he normally is when he's sick.
Was going to do laundry while he was napping but two days of working out put a damper on it because my left knee was screaming and I could hardly walk without crying in pain. Hubby had to get up from his nap on the couch and help me back to my recliner because the pain was so bad. Took a couple of Advil for the pain and keeping off my feet as much as I can.
Had mostly rain overnight but we did have a dusting of snow on the ground when I got up
-
Chevy MADE me do it😂😂
