    Spookie.... she's frustrated.... What happened?

I have a Canon, and it has lasted a long time... but even new batteries will not work! I have a little square disk thing, that I take out, and put it in my printer, and it downloads all of my photo's to my Picassa program! Then I can upload them online, or I can print my own photo's also.... I can edit, & do lots of things with Picassa, or my Window's 10 Pictures program...

I can't believe I actually put a video on here! I was going to ask Loverly how she does it, but I did it myself!

I am so elated that two of my favorite people are posting! I have a lot of favorites

Just got back from our home swim meet and just sitting here in my favorite spot of the house (kitchen nook) relaxing. I prefer him:image

    image

....the piercing blue eyes. During my stupid days, I was madly in love with someone who looked similar, except he was not as rich or famous. Travolta has beautiful eyes too, but I still melt with Fiennes'.

Ms. Chevy, Mr. G was much better looking than Johnny Cash. You looked almost like Shirley Temple. You both were a cute couple.

Ms. Spookie, muah muah muah. You know I have missed you. Sis in Florida is moving back to Ca, but we are planning a Eastern Carribean cruise next December. Hoping to have extra days in Florida.

Mags, you had us scared!! I am sorry your pain was so great you thought you were on your way to see Jesus. And I thought I had to look for moirologists!!! Happy to hear you pain is better controlled. image

I really do hope to give you a real hug. If not here, then you know where :)

Sensi, what in the world are you doing climbing up on the roof? Be careful young lady.

Peppy, I would love to do yoga again. When do you go? Is it a club? My mid side is growing pretty fast these days and I am not as flexible.

WildT, I remember the poem you posted last time. Was it the same one? It poem describes you :) Yay to the weight lost! An additional 4 lbs is a lot. Cheering you on. Good for you. I am gaining weight and not sure why. I still play badminton twice a week and walk Mitzy several times a week. Will be in your pocket for tomorrow. Hopefully, no surgeries for a long long time. I want to post daily, but get distracted by the busyness of life or can't seem to think straight or keep my eyes open if I write right before bedtime.

JunieB, darn I forgot what I wanted to say to you. It will come later.

Mommy, I would hate to be in your shoes. I am glad I am done with school. I would love to take a photography class and take pictures like Feline. I have always love looking at photographs. Amazing how some can capture a story with an image.

Ms.S, are you still jet lagging?

    Susan, you all packed?

Ms. Wren, huh? Your kitten ate your MIL's tongue?

Jazzy, you must be really busy with work at this time of the year??

    ShepK, hugs.

Spookie - Me, JunieB am the one getting Kirby. Two weeks from today on Dec. 18th. Also, it is great to see you again!

Chevy - Your kangaroo's paw fern is pretty. What time of year can I find one in the store? Maybe Walmart in the spring? Check out cameras made by Samsung.

You and your DH made an adorable young couple. He was a real cutie.

Loverly - Welcome to my world, I start to say something or do something and forget in mid-stride. So frustrating. Especially in the middle of a conversation.

I need to remember to print that pain scale and take it to my MO's office next time I go. I think she'll get a chuckle out of it.

Susan - Pretty picture of your snowy yard. We had some rain today that turned into icy rain for a short time.

WildT - Will be with you tomorrow in thought.

Shep - I forgot to mention that when you posted about Ford's "Warrior's in Pink" promo with Green Chef back in October, I did apply and was accepted for the 2 boxes of 3 meals. I received the first one last Friday and it had all the ingredients for 3 dinners, with the step by step pictured instructions on how to prepare the meals. Pretty cool!

I hope your doing ok. Miss seeing your posts.

Sensi - Hope you made it through your Monday okay.

    Hello Wren, Feline & Jazzygirl.

WildT, in your pocket tomorrow, did you said what time?

Susan, pretty but too cold. You'll love CA even tho its cold here. It's usually warmer on the coast too. What time? Do I need to pm you pics of Lover and me? I know we'll recognize you guys! Haha

JunieB, why do you have to wait, if Kirby is 7 weeks old, he seems old enough to leave his mom now.

Skep, hope you and FIL continue too improve.

Senti, STAY OFF THE ROOF. it's slippery out there! Crazy lady.

Jet lag is much improved, waking up early again, between me, the cats and DH snoring I can't sleep late anyway. The cats missed me! ;)

Susan, know you're in bed, but you land around 1 it should take about 1 hour after you get the car to get to Petaluma. Us a little longer. Lunch would be around 2:30, give or take a few. Is that too late? Plus you'll be dealing with the time difference. It will probably be dinner for you guys!

Susan - Beautiful! I love snow ... unless I'm in it, too cold for me! Have a good flight and a fun time with the ladies at lunch.

Loverly - I just saw your guy recently on the movie Quiz Show on Netflix, he was smartly handsome. Yoga is at a small studio, you can go the first few times free to try it out. I'll msg you the info. I like pilates more but think yoga would be a better start back, I'm still stiff.

WildT - thank you for the exercise information. Hearing your story is really motivating, good for you getting rid of those chemo pounds. I gained weight on chemo too, is that common? I thought I was just enjoying too much comfort food and down time. Woohoo I found a cancer rehab exercise program here and will call them tomorrow! Hoping the location works out it sure looks like a great program, thanks again. The gethealthy website is really nice, I'll definitely explore the site. I cant believe there is such a thing as an exercise video junkie, I think the last one I bought was Jane Fonda on VHS. I'm with you its not the number on the scale so much as keeping healthy. My blood sugar and cholesterol have been out of whack since cancer and exercise helps keep those down. Will be thinking about you tomorrow!

WildT ~ Every time you talk about all the special stuff you have been doing for your EX I get confused. I think how nice it is that you two get along so well.... buying special bras for the man is a little too much though! Ahhh, but then I remember that EX and Ex are two very different things! 😁

In your pocket for your EX (not Ex) tomorrow. May all go perfectly! So sweet your mom is excited to have you "sleep-over". I hope she totally spoils you and you have some nice pain-free time together 💟

Cool, JunieB is officially JunieB! But what do we call Jean now? Growing up I had a beautiful white Persian kitty named Popi. She was "intellectually challenged". She never could figure out how to go out an inward opening door...... she always ended up scooting backwards as the door opened until she was wedged behind the door and the wall. It was sooo sad! 😔 Jean is way smarter than that kitty was!

Going back and forth to the hospital is wiping me out. Ive been using either a hospital wheelchair or the John Deere so my back and hips are not as bad as they could be. Amazing difference in FIL since last Sunday. He was unresponsive when admitted to the ER., was put into a medical coma, had emergency surgery and woke up yesterday. He has a long recovery ahead but is truly amazing - it had seemed certain he was going to die. FIL really has a talented medical team!

So much visiting I would love to do but I keep nodding off........

Love n' hugs to all, sweet dreams🌛

Shep - LOL yes I am sometimes smarter than your kitty was but not aways! Doors can be confusing. What a great rebound the FIL is making but how are you using a John Deere at the hospital?

My DD sported a black eye all last week due to a confrontation with a gate (it rebounded after being pushed the wrong direction).

We were lucky there was nothing other than soft tissue damage. I was also glad it happened at school with a tonne of people round to witness otherwise someone might have been calling child welfare - she absolutely looked like she had been punched in the eye!

    Thankfully much better this week.

Puppies shouldn't leave mom before 8 weeks preferably 12. They are still learning from mom and siblings. It's illegal here to sell a pup before 8 weeks.

Poppy: I think it makes a difference what kind of chemo you're on. Some gain and some lose weight, depending on SEs. With my chemo I have diarrhea quite a bit, no matter what I eat - - - some days I wonder where the heck it all comes from...it's not like I'm eating 'round the clock. It also might depend on what "stage" you are. I'm stage IV, and I've lost about 40 lbs in eight months. (Thank God I was FAT to begin with, ha ha, or I'd be skin and bones by now!) I hate to consider it, but all the cancer mets are probably feeding off some of the food I'm eating (call Sigourney Weaver...I have aliens inside me!).

Shep: So sorry to hear about your back and hips!!! I have mets in just about every vertebrae of my spine, as well as hips, pelvic bones, ribs, etc. My lower back practically kills me at times, and my hips ache when I'm in bed. I use a cannabis balm on my back and hips at night (not during the day if I have to go anywhere - it really has a strong POT smell). I still use a cane to get around, and if I go to the mall, DH throws my wheelchair in the backseat for me to use. We rented the chair from a medical supply place, and the lady was so sweet...after four months, she just called and said, "Keep it. It's yours now." That was great!

I HATE that it's getting dark at around 5 PM now. My Bulldog is sleeping a lot. Wish I could just sleep the day away...I wouldn't have to deal w/all this cancer pain.

Lita - Only 4 more days until our birthday's! Related image Your doggie looks very comfortable on the couch. Is that the remote she has her tongue on?

Smaarty - I would have preferred to let Kirby stay with his Mom until 12 weeks, but the breeder said 8 weeks was fine. As it is, he'll be 9 weeks when he comes home. I sold my car last year, so I have a friend who is driving me to Kennewick, WA to meet breeder at the 1/2 way point. Friend works, plus my birthday is next Saturday and I have plans for that and don't want to leave poor little Kirby alone so soon after bringing him home with me. Also he'll be away from everything he's known from birth. I want to be with him 24/7 to help him transition.

WildT - So very glad surgery went well and you are resting nicely. Hope they gave you some nausea meds.

Here are some virtual flowers for you. Heal up quick.

    Related image

Shep - I see you changed your pic. Is that Miss Marti w/ Santa? If so, what a beautiful girlie she is. Does your John Deere scooter have a impressive horn to let people know you're coming? By the way where did you find a John Deere scooter? So cool! I'd like a pink Minnie Mouse one myself.

Feline - I just cringe with the thought of how much your DD hurt after that blasted gate got her. OUCH! I hope she is feeling better.

Susan - Safe and smooth flight for you and DD & Elena.

We had a high temp of 39 today. Snow fell in the Portland metro area earlier today, but melted when it started to rain later in the day.

Only 13 days until Kirby comes home. I watched YouTube videos of Cairn Terrier puppies last night. They are all soooo cute, but little firecrackers. One lady had trained her Cairn to use his paw to ring a bell when he wanted a cookie. Awww!

I don't know whether to be angry or just surprised. Last weekend when our friends were visiting from Missouri, DH wouldn't even let me go out except to eat. I wanted us to take them down to Bricktown and our Riverwalk, but he said I wasn't up to it. And it turns out he was right as I spent most of the week at the hospital.

Tonight he tells me my sister in Michigan has invited us for Christmas. We would have to fly to Kalamazoo and drive an hour to her house. Her daughter and our older sis and her DH will be visiting as well. He wants us to go.

Between now and then I will be having 2 more rounds of Halaven. The first 2 rounds took my WBC to 1.8. How great am I going to feel after 2 more? Look, I understand that DH doesn't want to face what's going on. I know he's in denial. But really, busy airports, plane changes, crowded planes, sick kids, a house full of people, freezing weather... it just spells disaster for me. Excuse my caps but I CAN'T BELIEVE HE WANTS TO DO THIS!!!!

Tomorrow (tonight now) I'm going to push myself to attend his managers Christmas party. He said we can arrive late and leave early. This is something I really want to do, so I'm going to push myself, but at most it's only a couple of hours, not days.

Ok rant over. Tulip, glad you survived your mx, best of healing wishes to you. Lita, I think my spine mets are starting at both ends and meeting in the middle. JunieB, motherhood is getting closer! Loverly, Susan, Smaarty, have a wonderful lunch. Mamma Ray, we'll be in your pocket (Loverly will bring the chocolate I think), Shep, did Chance encounter a bug? Bee? Wasp? Scorpion? Spider? Hope his recovery is rapid.

    Love to all.

Sensi - How scary to come to find your baby like that. What did the vet have to say?

Mags - If you don't feel up to traveling, you need to explain that to your DH. One way or another he needs to understand your limitations. Especially with you being immuno-compromised. Ask him how he'd feel if you end up back in the hospital with a life threatening infection. Maybe that will give him pause.

Smaarty, Loverly, Susan - Have a great time together tomorrow.

WildT - So glad you were able to eat some dinner.

Mags, definitely the depleted immune system vs airports, travel, stress etc make it so likely that you could end up with an infection, probably ruining everybody's Christmas. Maybe he feels its extra important for you and your sisters to be together, and that's where he is coming from, but just doesn't understand the difficulty and risk involved for you. Maybe a medical professional or someone else who has experience of cancer treatment could explain it to him? Sometimes husbands hear things sooo much better from somebody else.

WildT best wishes for your health and healing.

MammaRay best wishes for a good result from your upcoming treatment and the new meds.

Mags, I am so sorry to hear how your husband is acting. He needs to have someone tell him that this might not be a good idea at this time.
