Hoo boy. I'm going to answer this at the risk of seeming cold and heartless. Usually I don't do anything. Unfortunately, There's a large homeless population in Los Angeles, so you wouldn't see a homeless person on the side of the road, but many walking down any commercial street. Sometimes I give a little money to someone as long as that person isn't intoxicated, but if I gave $1 to every homeless person I saw on a daily basis, I would go broke.

If I could see any musical artist (dead or alive) in concer, I would choose..

And YES Ruth!!! Jimi Hendrix!! My answer also! What a legend!

I agree hsant! We never know if they are addicts so we never give money, but have packs of PB crackers in the car to give them (usually 2). Most of them are SO grateful (like 9 out of 10), but the last guy didn't seem grateful at all and I could almost hear his thoughts (This won't get me any alcohol) or whatever.

I am feeling better, thanks! Overall pain is better, except under right arm where lymph removal was is constantly painful. I have my follow-up appointment tomorrow morning.

Last year, I went to North Carolina with a friend for a bluegrass music festival. We borrowed a tent but they forgot to include the rain fly. Great. And of course it rained. We drove into town looking to buy a tarp but no such luck so I bought a new tent. Nice 4-person Eureka tent for under $100 (cheap!). We stayed warm & dry all weekend, and now DH & I have good gear in case we ever have to "bug out".
