    Katy!! That's awesome.

Leigh: I have head magnesium helps. I don't know if it is true or not. I have noticed that I get chills, then bundle up and get a hot flash. The quicker I get all the blankets off me, the milder the hot flash seems to be. Are you taking Tamoxifen? I haven't started it yet.

I knew there must have been a bull around somewhere, with all the "bs" flying around this month haha! Thanks everyone. I just wrote a letter. When I was pissed off. SpecialK showed me the direction and others in my life gently suggested taking the power back by writing a letter. It's hard to believe it was just one letter that started this whole thing, but the outcome today is just a bonus. My real reward was the feeling I got standing up for myself and all of my sistas. It actually reduced my physical pain. Anyway, thanks for the support all.

we have a celebrity among us! Awesome work Katy!!

AV rest up and best wishes while you heal from surgery

Sharon your blanket looks so cozy and comforting!

Eileen, the ad I keep hearing is that 71 women in the metropolitan Portland area are diagnosed with BC every week. One more week of pinktober.....

Leigh the magnesium cut my hot flashes by more than half. I haven't had to get up in the middle of the night with them in over a week. If the magnesium isn't helping maybe you could try another type? I found a complex that has multiple types in one tablet. I learned what I know about magnesium from Theresa. Also, Hot flashes SUCK!!

Katy that is so amazing! Thank you for educating me and letting me share this info. You look great and this is important

Quick update. My breast reconstruction is red and very inflammed. Antibiotices. I am tired and my stupid lymphedema is up I have not heard yet if I can go for therapy. I am a dope and forgot to ask at my visit yesterday. I have had so many appointments I am wiped. Did I tell you the great news that my bone scan was clear? I have a lot of arthritis...is this normal at 35? Anyway. I am reading and trying to keep up. On a really cool note I have a great friend irl who knows the battle. I am grateful. I am also having my husband paint my kitchen cupboards a gorgeous sky blue. Its a nice change

Go Katy!!!! I saw it on FB and couldn't stop smiling :)

Allison, you described my nights exactly. Chills then ahhhhhhh I'm on fire. So annoying.

Thanks for the magnesium tip. Mine was low at my last blood work.

Amber, did you have TEs put in with ADM? I had a reaction to the ADM. They had me on iv antibiotics two days in a row to rule out infection. But it was an allergic reaction to the preservative used in the ADM. I hope yours resolves quickly & yay clean bones!

Eileen, I would be curious to see if the magnesium helps you with the hot flashes. I think mine are not terrible, relatively speaking. They don't seem as bad as they were in the beginning. And they don't seem to last all that long.

I upped my fills today. 40ml instead of 25. Not so bad so far. I want to be fully expanded in 3 more visits, enough of this.

katy, that was fun talking and seeing you! It was a really good connection too.

Eileen, I hope this fill goes without any pain. I'm sure it must feel like it's taking forever.

Amber, I hope your breast has settled down now. Yep I hear you on the LE! So frustrating.

I've started week 2 of my couch to 5km program. I'm feeling so much better for it.

I didn't know there was magnesium powder! I should try to find that, I'm afraid one day they're going to find me collapsed in the kitchen having choked to death on my giant sized magnesium tablet. Seriously that's a thing I think about.. .its that huge.

I know, the magnesium pills are huge. But I'm a complete wuss about drinking anything nasty, so I've never tried the powder.

I started therapy this week to help me deal w/ all the stupid life changes. I'm not a therapy fan - tried it in the past - I think I just need to find the right person. This one seems ok.

I found magnesium gel caps at CVS last week. I haven't opened them yet but I think they will be easier to swallow. I haven almost choked on my magnesium more than once. (I know my husband could be in the same room and not notice so I had to do something).
