Was Minka looking/hoping for wood pigeons?
Beautiful kitty!
-
Alyson welcome! Deeply impressed that your DD is an opera singer as well as a cat lover!
My DD had to bring a photo of herself and a friend to school recently. Although she has plenty of human friends she opted for a photo of herself and our Arthur
-
What a great photo, Feline!
How cute!
Alyson - I'm impressed too - opera singer! Wow!
Here's our poor Nitro, all stressed out.
Note all the cat toys in the background of the photo.
-
Feelingfeline - That is a great photo, but I have to say that, based on his expression, Arthur is a very sweet, loving and patient kitty!
-
Oh wow Feelingfeline, that's a beautiful picture of your daughter and Arthur! Arthur is such a wonderful loving boy, I can see why your daughter thinks of him as her friend, so special!
Stripes being a very patient boy too
and great company when insomnia hits.
KT, how lovely! You are having spring just as we start autumn! Minka obviously is celebrating too
Minka is extra special being a female ginger, I'm sure you agree in more ways than one lol!!
Awwww Nitro, all played out! When we wake up and stroll from the bedroom thru the livingroom in the morning, there is a trail of cat toys from the area rug thru to the dining room and kitchen. Some toys that we haven't seen in a while suddenly appear, the cats obviously knew where they were lol!!
-
-
Hahaha. Must steal that for facebook
-
Scrunch the cat - spot on!
-
-
Ha! That reminds me of a story......
Theodore Roosevelt didn't put much stock in the obstructionist Congress of his day, so would often bypass them by signing Executive Orders to get what he wanted actually done. The Speaker of the House fumed, "The President of the United States has no more respect for the Constitution than a tom cat has for a marriage license!"
-
My FIL (from NC) has a great phrase for when you are trying to get a group of difficult people to get together on something:
"it's like herding cats"
-
FF, good one
-
"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." - Albert Schweitzer.
-
More Kitten Inn babies!
-
Dusty thinking about going for a swim
-
Good you have a pool alarm in case he does!! Geeze, are you on a canal?
-
yes we are in a canal. My husband has a sailboat. He back in CA right now driving it and our other car out.
-
When I was little, we used to go to Lauderdale every year. Was lots of canals. Lots and lots of creepy dangerous swimming things in them. Still is. Even here. Be careful, watch Dusty!!!

Reposted from Warm Fuzzies where I posted it by accident:
Arthur is never interested in modelling and 99.9 % of the time will turn his head away from the camera as soon as I produce it. Best captured with a long lens so he doesn't know he is being photographed. I took several photos of Arthur (from a discreet distance) this morning. THEN I noticed my SD card sticking out of the slot in my PC - aaagh. So no captures of Arthur afterall.
However here is my cousin's newly adopted black cat Lucky he was brought to a shelter after being hit by a car so a VERY lucky Lucky.
Before going to the shelter my cousin's son, age 9, had already decided they were going to name whatever cat they chose "Lucky".
When they got there Lucky was sitting there already christened Lucky.
Match made in heaven.

Here is Tutti (Frutti) with her big tail she's so proud of. Below, stalking on safari in the back yard.
-
Tutti Frutti is delightful
She must have to spend a bit of time keeping her tail so well groomed.
-
Nikolai and Kojak
Did we hear the distant crinkle of a package that must be food?
-
Feelingfeline- yes, I would say that she considers grooming her tail her job. She lists it as her occupation whenever she fills out official forms.
-
-
....I think my Lump was thinking if he finished his big bowl of water, he might get a treat...
-
Adorbs, Tomboy!
-
That tail! Magnificent indeed.
Love Nicholi and Kojak - ours aren't that polite if food may be involved. Tommyboy - great picture of a beautiful kitty!
-
Teka- how do they always know when there's food? My mom had a cat who realized fresh fish (her BF brought a lot of his own catch home in neat little fillets in zip lock bags) always came in zips. She would open the fridge and grab a zip and you could hear THUMP. Off the bed and running down the stairs. At her side in seconds.
Imagine his outright indignation when the odd tomato or half an avocado had been stored the same way! "What? No fish? And that was a good nap i was taking!"
-
This is Butch and he is 17 years old. He is so cool. I babysit him when his parents go out of town.
-
Teka even senses and comes running while we're still opening the bedroom window for fresh air.
